If I were to be bloodily defeated in battle and forced to serve a Sith Master, would this count for the "be devastated by a Force-user" requirement to be allowed to use cortosis?

So, in the past I have roleplayed several companies that were quite awesome...

But not service companies. At one point during the months around the Purge I came up with 'Hell's Fang' restaurant branches that seemed everywhere with little consistency. (Lol)

I also did some night clubs, and places like shooting ranges etc. I had tried to play it as Zaiden was the every man entrepreneur. Anyway, the question I wanted to know is, how are these tier judged?

I know major companies have legit requirements to level. I wonder how it could be done to achieve the 'Red Lobster', 'Burger King' or others, of this universe.

Viola! I give you the updated Tier up rules to include service companies.

basically the same as in the template but:

If your company is a service company and not a production company, you may be able to replace the requirement of Tech Subs with additional "misc threads" or Codex Subs relative to the company's operations.

Will my company, The Orion Corporation, be able to produce a one off, unique AI system?

Technologically Advanced Armour and Weapons Systems. With its recent growth, the Orion Corporation has now begun to develop and manufacture droids and unmanned drones.

This is your operations.

An A.I. fulfilling any one of these operations is fine.

Hello Judges,

I own a Canon Company that owns nearly (more than?) a fozen canon subsidiaries. You can imagine how hard that life is concerning if I want to make their stuff. Can I make new Subsidiaries that aren't canon that produce what that Canon subsidiary makes since I own the parent company? Don't I technically have claim to the subsidiaries anyway?

Like, if I wanted to make the ships from the TaggeCo shipyards subsidiary, can I make a non canon subsidiary shipyard that makes all those ships? I mean, technically I have the rights anf blueprints, right?

It's just... Hard to do anything with the canon rules

how about you make your own subsidiaries and submit items to the factory?

You eventually run the risk of others claiming those subsidiaries as stand alone, and I'm sure they will then create their own things from the canon list.

It isn't hard to do anything at all with the canon rules. You knew starting that you would not be able to claim any subsidiaries until you are tier 3 and have unique writers with the ability to claim them.

Granted, you can do the dev for each and every single item schematic you want to claim to be in your possession. But unless you are submitting them to upgrade to the factory, why stress it?

You can make shipyards, restaurants, a courier company... And still be far more productive than with a canon company.

If you do want to create your own subsidiaries, make due you are tier 3. Then please read the rules regarding the max amount of subsidiaries a tier three may have at a time.

I'm sorry, I'm completely confused here. I'm not catching on...

I wanted to know if I could make a non-canon subsidiary (When I am Tier 3) and make Canon items from the company that I am parent of.

Can I make [Ship] from [TaggeCo Canon Company] with a Non-canon Company [once at tier 3]

You can submit an upgraded/downgraded/whatever version/variation of the ship. I'm not certain what all we do in regards to viewing the marketplace, but there's nothing stopping you from submitting ships via a starship company that has been modeled on the ships of the original subsidiary.

I'm going to dev some beskar armour. It would have been forged long in the character's past. My story was going to focus on why he put his armour back on, with only a few call backs to the forging itself. Would this be ok?

As long as there are ten posts which have a focus on forging and the armor, and your character is a Mandalorian, this should be fine.

You can make synthetic crystals, just probably not in large quantities, depending on the crystal in question.

As a follow-up question, can I make a custom synthetic crystal subbed in the Foundry? It obviously wouldn't be powered up, just a specific design that I want to come out when makibg synthetic crystals, they might be differently formed and be a little larger, just a special name to them, you know?

More than likely, yes.

wondering if I had made something, but now tech owned by another company. Could I resub it without dev threads for it, or would I need to do it again?

If a submission requires development it will still require development if submitted again. If it didn't require it before then in will not.
