Are there any precedents for company mergers? I was considering merging with the Tapani Starship Collective as part of the development for Heofon reaching level three. Is there anything saying that I can't/anything I should know about beforehand? Tapani isn't currently claimed by anyone as far as I can tell.

[member="Cira"] can go more in-depth than I can in regards to company modification requests and tier promotions, but the basic idea is to have a thread detailing the merger/purchase and submit a modification request for the merging company to be archived (with a notice that it has been merged) while submitting the new company explaining the merger with the thread as development.

1. Do merging thread.
2. Submit new company, use thread as development, and explicitly state the company is the result of a merger.
3. Submit modification request for the former (two?) company(ies) to be archived with the merger as the reason.
4. Get new company merger submission approved.

Here's a link to a submission of a company going through a merger right now (currently archived to get the thread I mentioned before finished) that can provide some insight into the process.

Could I have assistance with this item? Unfortunately, making devices, technology, materials etc. is probably my worst area. I don't exactly know the proper way of wording this. It's basically a stealth device, which disperses Ionized air/cloud. The primary source link is provided from where I got the idea, I just don't know how to word it, and I'm sure it needs more

You are right on track here for the description, just describe what kind of craft it would be used on, how well it shields against certain sensors, how long it lingers, etc. I would also suggest a development thread to develop this piece of technology, in terms of R&D, as most stealth equipment requires development threads.

If i also wanted to disperse thick clouds of smoke, would that require a dev thread? To visually hide the ship in smoke? I'm not sure that's a very good stealth tactic, something massive coming from the sky surrounded in smoke, haha. More just for show than stealth. Thanks!

The only requirement for non-mandos is to get beskar via listed challenges. Mandalorians need a forging thread. It is 10 posts minimum

6. Civilian space stations over 3,000 metres will always require a development thread.
Minimum: 30 posts +10 posts for every additional 1,000 meters over 3,000m (Max 10,000m), 3 writers.

Traditionally, in the past certain factory requirements have been stated to be able to be overridden by the addition of more development. In this rule to make the maximum size for a civilian space station would require one hundred posts with three writers, minimum.

My question; If additional development is added, say triple what is stated to be necessary, can the addition of a third person be removed?

A lightsaber pretty much inflicts only heat damage (it's a stick of plasma in an electromagnetic containment field). As for how much, canon never states - only that there are only a handful of metals and materials which are lightsaber resistant.

Hi there, I was wondering where to post a droid submission. I was going to go for NPC, but then again, this droid doesn't really think much, or speak. I could see how it would be technology, as it is kind-of that, but it could be species creation, as this is a new type of droid. Where should I post it?

But, if it was a droid the size of a planet, maybe it should go under planet construction. But if it moved around, maybe it's more like an intelligent space station, so the starship development. But if it went on land as well, is it a vehicle? Ok though, I'm pretty certain that it's not a company.

For most/all droid submissions, they would go into the technology section of the factory. I'm not too sure a planet-sized droid would be acceptable, though.

No, we do not change the OP to anyone. It remains who originally posted it. If you purchased it then you would have/should have made a thread doing the buyout of the company. Also you should have posted a mod to turn it into a subsidiary or change over ownership.

I'd like to stay true to guideline with the mentioned third person, but if you want you could always do the original guideline in one thread and then the bells and whistles with you and another person in another thread. I did just that, hence my stating it was on JAC's page for a long while. I asked because I have seen others be allowed to have OPs changed for them. Either way, doesn't matter, as the player left a while back.

It was just so the page didn't have a "Guest_so&so" as a poster.

Greetings! Hopefully I can get some help! i was curious to making a small company... or would I really need to? For my Faction, the Shahku Tribe, after they get a home (planet), I wanted them to start manufacturing (Or is that even the right word? It sounds too close to the social market...) some Sith items. Not major things, the ones that were very commonly made. List below
