Say multiple people participate in a dev thread for bes'kar that had a lot of posts in it (not just 10 posts, but maybe like 50 or so). Would each person get some Bes'kar, or would it only count towards a single sub?

Everyone involved in the gathering of beskar would be able to use it, preferably if they each provide somewhere around 10 posts.

I am looking to acquire Ultrachrome. In the rules, it says " two or more characters your character is not familiar with, become trapped in hostile territory and escape.".

SSC currently has a Rakghoul outbreak, where all of these three requirements can be met by my character. Can it quality as a dev thread?

As long as you and those other characters complete the full objective you are good.

Could you elaborate on this a little more please? For example, for a PMC, would a thread in which the company mercenaries carry out their job (like in a small battle or as a bodyguard unit protecting the client from a threat) count for something like this?

Yes, because it is a PMC doing what they have been contracted to do: which is to provide a service.

Once again a very stupid question.

During a dominion on a planet containing a mine of restricted matierals, is a private company of a character in faction doing the dominion able to come in posession of the mine? If yes, can dev thread be done in the dominion itself or does it need to be separate?

Owning a mine does not impact the requirement for fulfilling objectives for restricted materials. For every submission containing restricted materials, you will still need to fulfill one of those objectives - such as mining for phrik and such. And if it is in the cloud of a major faction, it will need to be public.

If this is a question regarding adding the mine to a company's locations, then simply acquire the mine in the dominion and link directly to the posts involving the takeover of the mine in your company modification request when you request those locations/tier increases.

If this is regarding location submissions, I suggest inquiring with the Codex.

Still a Judge reserves the right to ask for a dev thread for something ambitious that isn't on this list so please be aware of that. Any questions please inbox me and I'll answer there - I'd like to keep this thread clutter free.

Other than that, here is a rough standardization of what needs a dev thread.

Factory Dev Thread Guide
  • Anything created with restricted Items. ( IE A. The mining resource thread or B. Link to purchase of restricted item along with the sellers original resource mining thread.)
  • Anything beyond a canon precedence that does not have at the very least, three reasonable and balanced weaknesses to prevent powergaming.
  • Flagships. ( details here )
  • Stealth Tech.
  • Powerarmor.
  • Force Artifacts or Holocrons ( Not including personal holocrons).
  • Any item that is alchemized beyond an existing canon precedent.
  • Any Force nullification items without reasonable weaknesses.
  • Moving / creating of a new Company Headquarters.
  • To start a subsidiary of a Tier V+ company at III.
  • To start a company with an abnormal amount/unrelated operations.
