You needn't make it public if you belong to the faction.Darth Venefica said:Sorry for being so inquisitive these past couple of days but another question I have needs an answer.
In regards to:
III. Objectives which require you to visit a planet located within the Influence Cloud of a Major Faction may only be completed in Non-Private threads.
Does this also mean if the planet chosen from (( Objective : Perform a mining operation, a raid, an excavation, or steal to obtain cortosis ore from any of the following)) falls under YOUR Factions influence cloud?
So sorry that I missed this! To answer your question (I hope this is still helpful) the lightest metals in the SW universe are generally seen as being songsteel, desh-terenthium, and phrik - all of which were described as being super or ultra-light materials, out of the three I would go with desh-terenthium or songsteel, although I am not certain a gaseous body would be able to sustain a solid form to carry such objects.Nyarlos Maleficus said:What is the lightest metal in this verse? I ask because this character is a Filar-Nitzan and my playby has a sword and shield at all times, and I'd like for them to be there while making sense
Well technically the ship says it has no modularity, so the new submission would be preferred, but not a requirement as the factory is optional.Coren Starchaser said:The vessel will be used as a mobile base, exploration vessel, education center, and NOT as a combat vessel. Would I need to re-work the submission for a unique vessel? Or can I just handwave 'hey this is being done because I'm not going to show up and fight you from here'?
Starship is your best choice, just make sure not to make it too dissimilar to the core design or you might end up with a transformer!Marek Starchaser said:*costume change*
Another question.
If I am working on a sub that is similar to the Vulture Droid concept, but the secondary/walker phase is still able to perform a combat function, would I sub this as 'tech', 'vehicle' or 'starship', or some combination of all three?
Thanks!

We have seen a number of shields used, ranging from the common form seen most often through canon (full-body) to lesser known variations that formed smaller shields that more resembled shields in the classical sense (like an actual shield in shape and size, for example). You may deviate from canon within reason, as you would in most anything else, and the general determining factor for the posts asked depends on what you, in turn, are asking for. For example you probably won't be asked for a dev thread for a regular personal energy shield that is belt mounted on a suit of armor, but advancements in the technology or large changes that might provide a substantial change in how it operates/functions or even how powerful the shield is might warrant a development thread. It is up to the factory judge looking over your submission, so it could be a simple request for 10 posts, or if they feel it needs more they may ask for more - but always on the basis of what you are asking for and how much it deviates from canon.Jay Scott Clark said:Q: What's the current thought about Personal Energy Shields these days? Only the creator/submitter of the item may salvage an item per salvaging rules.Darth Ferus said:[member="Lily Kirsche Kuhn"]
I have a question on the salvaging rules.
It states that only a sub you yourself make can be salvaged, but what if the app was made specifically for your character by someone else? An example would be this. It was made by [member="Nyos Val"] , but specifically for Ferus who wears it every day. Would I be able to salvage it?
Not to my knowledge, no.Darth Ferus said:[member="Lily Kirsche Kuhn"]
Is there a way for Ferus to get back the cortosis that's implanted in his arm and leg from this submission?
