Once more why dont we? (Vulpesen)

"D-did he just speak through you... because if he did that is one of the coolest things i have seen in a long time and im a force user of all things that can heal people and use lightning at w-..." She stopped herself and rubbed her neck as she spoke again, this time a bit more cautious with her words as she explained herself. "Right, by the way i learned a bit of Sith Lightning while i was in contact with a former... ally of mine back when i was still a Sith apprentice."

(Correct me if i read your post wrong, looks like you had Ace talk through you, if so, then my post stands.)

Vulpesen laughed at his friend's apparent amazement. "Life seems to be full of surprises. Believe me, I'm just as shocked as you are." He lowered his hand for Ace to crawl up his shoulder only to find himself frowning as she mentioned her usage of sith lightning. "Alex, you know that I try to support you in neutrality, but sith lightning is one of those abilities that FEEDS the darksde. Are you sure you want to mess with that one?"

"Come on, i wouldn't hurt anyone with it unless in self defense, when was the last time i did anything with malicious intent you fox brained Jedi." She grinned at him and her expression matched her words, kind and calm with not a single hint of ever using it for any personal gain, though she did have one uneasy feature, the golden flecks in her eyes seemed to move for a moment as she looked at [member="Vulpesen"], it was such a quick change though that it could be dismissed as part of a trick by Vulpesen's own eyesight.

Vulpesen sighed but gave her a nod. "Alright, but be careful." As for the eyes, he caught onto the movement. It may have been his eyes, but if not, he would keep his mind on it. If it happened again, he would remember but for now, it was no matter to him as he continued on with their conversation. "I've been hoping to learn the light side counterpart to that ability, electric judgement."

"Dont you have to learn the normal variant first, you know, learn the basics before you learn the hard stuff. And i think you misunderstand lightning as it is, the power itself isn't evil, its how you use it fox face." She smiled and though for a moment before speaking once more. "For example, with it i could probably power a generator for as long as was needed, or jump start an engine if i am able to control and regulate it to such a degree." [member="Vulpesen"]

Vulpesen shook his head as he heard the first point. "The differences between our abilities go on a fundamental level. The darkside is not in the effects of sith lightning. It is in the philosophy. To use it, you must call upon your anger and hatred to punish and attack your victim. With electric judgement, you are not a sword, but a shield. Your focus is on defending others and for this reason, it is far less deadly and more liable for the activities you suggest. Its easier to start a heart when I'm not worrying about overdoing it and burning the person into a crisp." He lifted his hand, causing a few sparks to dance on his fingers. He was by no means a master of the ability. Hell, he wasn't even the power of a true learner. He simple knew enough to pull a practical joke with it. "True, the power is not evil. Its philosophy is."

"Perhaps there are times when you need a sword over a shield though, or you could take a weapon that could serve as both like that of a staff... if you understand what i mean. It is the intent and the reason that matter and not the emotions themselves, the dark side forces one to subjugate others and to repress and control them, but if you use their same power, that force pushed by your emotions to defend those and to fight those that would see the galaxy burn for power, is it not better that you hold as much control over the very thing that makes an ability strong like your emotions... I am confused how a Jedi cannot understand why hate and anger cannot be used in the defense of others, to protect them from the very people that would see them slaves and every force user like them?" She watched her friend, curious as to if he understood what she was trying to say, curious if he would understand that she used the power that Jedi considered evil as a conduit to do good things for this galaxy, to create a place free of those that would oppress others for power.

Vulpesen listened carefully, taking in her words as she said them. He had to admit, there was a time where he would have believed it. A time he would have seen past the naivete of such thoughts. "I understand, and years ago, I would have even agreed. However my will to defend others will always be a will to defend others. However your hatred and anger will lead to different motives. For now, it stays a desire hate evil. But what happens when hate moves to a personal level? Motives change. Revenge, injustice that leads to overcompensation? When your emotions gain control of you, then anger and hatred become worse, and their effects cause terrible things. Alex, its not you using the power that makes me nervous. Its what happens when you slowly slide to the darkside, the bad part of it. The part that comes when little by little you decide to cross those little lines, one by one."

"Im fine, i wont fall to something so easily, you are worrying about something that would never happen no matter how much i delved into research on traditionally dark sided uses of the force. And as for what you just said, a Jedi saying using such power is typical dont you think, im doing nothing dangerous or threatening with these powers, im not forcing people to their knees, why is it that you are so worried about that happening when its impossible..." She stared at Vulpesen closely, her hands clencthed unknowingly as she glared into her friend's eyes. Her own eyes stared to show flecks of gold, rising up from her pupils as she stood there.

[member="Vulpesen"]

Vulpesen returned the glare with a softer gaze, yet his more intense glare could still be seen, simmering underneath, a sign that he was taking the matter quite seriously. "Greater men than you and I have said the exact same words. And greater men than you and I have fallen into that trap of apathy. You say it will never happen to you, but watch your actions. Little by little the ends will justify the means. Until you believe that bringing people to their knees is the best way to protect them. I've met very few if any sith who consider themselves evil. Alexandra, I won't hold your hand through this. I wont tell you you can't do this or you must do that. I'm not your master or even int he same order as you. I'm your friend. So, I will tell you to be careful. It may take a stronger heart than you think to avoid falling to the dark side that we both know and disgust." As he spoke, Vulpesen caught sight of her eyes. Those golden flecks again. He would need to find out what they were. There might be surgeries for such things, but he doubted that [member="Alexandra Cinthra"] would go through the trouble for simple aesthetics.

She swallowed and seemed to retreat inwards, her mind completely occupied and Vulpesen would certainly find something interesting if he looked too close at her. Her Aura seemed to split in two and now seemed it was pushing on each side, as if her very being was arguing with itself before she just side and it returned to the lighter part of her. Her glared stopped and she closed her eyes before speaking and nodding to her friend with a careful selection of words this time instead of being utterly blunt. "Thank you for saying that Vulpesen, well, we can certainly say if one of us fell it would certainly be me first with how quick i am to anger, no?" She laughed, soft and joyful, she was back to her old self and all hint of anger gone.

( Did the last Dialogue part on purpose mister now a sith :D [member="Vulpesen"]

Vulesen's eyes narrowed as he sensed the battle within her. As a student of the living force, Vulpesen was a bit more in tuned to peoples force signatures than his peers. There was no way such a conflict could clash inside of [member="Alexandra Cinthra"] without him knowing. Especially when himself had his own hidden battles. "I simply hope that neither of us fall. I'd hate to dive in and pull you out of such darkness." He flashed a grin, ridding himself of the earlier tension caused by what he could sense in his friend.

"Pull me out? What makes you so confident that im the one thats going to fall Fox Face, i mean im just as strong as you are if not more so mister Jedi..." She smiled and sighed, she was getting tired from the day and walked over to a nearby tree to sit down and lean against it before sighing and closing her eyes while she sat there. "Curious isn't it, Jedi and Sith fight and neither never die out, i really dont understand it sometimes, why continue to fight if neither is going to ever die out?"

[member="Darth Tsolan"]

Vulpesen let out a small laugh. "I am the affiliated jedi lightsider here. My chances are a bit higher than yours." As she sat down, Vulpesen moved to rest next to her. "As for this endless war. The reasons change. Sometimes the sith grow out of hand and wreak havoc. Sometimes we jedi get too proud and the sith find the right place to strike. We're simply too big to die. No matter how many you destroy, some trace will live on to inspire a new generation. But just because the fight is endless doesn't mean it shouldn't be fought. If we can push them back, even for a little while, if we can make a moment of peace, that's enough for the me. As to why we don't give up in the name of peace? That could very well mean our deaths. I'm sure you can understand why we prefer the earlier option of fighting."

"I see... it makes sense." She sighed and leaned her head against the tree without opening her eyes as she sat there. Before long though, if not disturbed, she would fall asleep against the tree and stay there until someone did wake her up if anyone did, exhaustion having taken her over now.

[member="Darth Tsolan"]

Vulpesen watched [member="Alexandra Cinthra"] as she rested against the tree. After a moment, he decided to follow her lead. He hadn't really rested since he left to join her on this planet. That was one of the things about insisting that he be the one to pilot his ship. He trusted his officers, he just preferred to have something to do. That something is also what made it easy for him to drift off for a bit, with Ace resting on his shoulder to take watch. Perhaps he should take his leave but hey, its dangerous to fly while sleepy.

Alexandra remained asleep, unaware of Vulpesen being beside her, as she leaned against the tree and her mind retreated inwards. Within it thoughts spiraled and ideas took form, trying to understand what it was that needed to be understood, she never did sleep well after all and this was no exception as she found herself in a fogged area. She wandered and soon found herself not surrounded by fog but chocking on a thick black smoke as only red light shown through it, growing in size until that of which held a saber came down over her, the face not her normal enemies. Instead it was that of her friend's, and for a moment she couldn't comprehend it before passing out in her dream too, the smoke snuffing her out.

That is when she woke up, looking around suddenly at the time, it having been on the verge of night now as she sat there. Eyes looking at Vulpesen should he still be there.

[member="Darth Tsolan"]

As Vulpesen slept, his mind was still. Images, sounds feelings. Nothing bug, just the works of an active imagination. On the outside, the sign of these small dreams would be seen in a small twitch. As he slept, a blue light could still be seen in the darkness, Ace's astral blue fur could of course be best seen in the darkness. Looking over to the waking [member="Alexandra Cinthra"], Ace gave a nod of acknowledgment. s for the jedi who he sat on, Vulpesen's preferred black robes made him melt into the shadows, the white streak in his hair being the most visible part of him.

"Hey there Ace, Fox Face fell asleep huh? Well i guess it was a long day..." She looked down and grabbed her datapad, powering it up and looking over it while she sat there. On the screen was a design for a droids she was working on, her hands moving across the surface as she idly spoke to Ace, though did not expect a response. "Were you sleeping too Ace? Or have you just stayed up this entire time?"

[member="Darth Tsolan"]

Ace shook his head , making a motion with his tail to convey the idea that he had been awake. It was difficult to communicate with humans that weren't Vulpesen, still he found it possible when he needed to. If not for his ability to learn such tricks, it was actually likely that Vulpesen would have died long ago. Especially after that trip with the sith sisters, Evelynn and Nemene. Given a little while longer, Ace would likely wake Vulps up to talk for himself, but for now, he let his bond mate sleep.
