One Sith and the Covenant of the Black Rose

I don't think the idea of an impending Civil war is the issue. Heck [member="Darth Mythos"] and I have been working on an angle privately for like two weeks now on an angle to trigger one.

I think the biggest issue here is the members of CoTBR it seems were not kept in the loop and more importantly feel like they are not being given a chance to peruse the angle of condemning Venefica's actions before a Skirmish thread was created, before a post was tossed up that when I first read it screamed you are all traitors prepare to die.

As much as I respect Reverance as a writer I can't help but think it could have been worded better in the original post.

Welp love it or hate it that is my two cents. Back to posting for me.

I understand your concerns, and they're good ones. However, to clarify, the CotBR are separate from the OS. We don't oversee their members, and it would be disrespectful of us as FAs to go around their FO to try and influence their members in their characters' decisions or their characters' roles in their faction.

This post of Reverance's is our chance to communicate with our members as well as theirs, and one that doesn't disrespect the authority of their FO.

As for the skirmish, we are only seizing assets from Anaxes that belonged to Darth Venefica who has been branded a traitor because of her actions in the Will thread. The key BR locations were moved to Kesh so they will not be harmed.

I don't care if people show IC aggression because of guilty by association, but the opening post seemed more OOC and IC than just IC.

Gotta agree with [member="Vengeance"] though. This guy? He completely understands the issue at hand. There should have been much more OOC talk before making this thread. Would have avoided all this needless drama.

I've read this entire thread, and every argument.

1. I am not convinced this is the opportunity for civil war you are looking for, because technically it is not, not when CotBR has split off.

2. To suddenly say the faction is guilty by association is an IC power play that has OOC consequences no faction should have over another. There are always IC and OOC consequences on every IC decision. The first post read like a threat to me that people better leave or get hunted. If that is not the intent, it needs to be rewritten in my opinion.

The OS would be better served to go after Venefica and her holdings. Let the CotBR choose to defend her or not. If they turn a blind eye you see there loyalty. Let's make an example of Venefica. If that was intent of the first post... then it needs to be severely clarified.

All of that said. There is an opportunity here for good story of done right! So let's do it right.

The fact that she's turned on us puts the loyalty of the entire CotBR in question ICly

Turning a blind eye proves nothing other than they're willing to cut off loose ends, for the OS leadership to feel that the CotBR is still loyal they need to make a show of loyalty, otherwise they're clumped in with the offender.

Right and I'm saying that has OOC consequences which I do not support. I'll play along no matter what is decided. Online debates never sway anyone. I simply wanted to add my voice to the mix of OOC descent on this idea, as it could use some more thought.

I'm already IC in a thread dealing with some of the action on this, and a CotBR council member is telling them to ignore the thread because they were not made aware of what is going on. An IC action with an OOC consequence.

IC my character is down for what er the Sith want to do. I just have an issue with this as a writer.

Was the Skirm a justified IC move? Yes.

Would it of been good to first give out a OOC heads up? Yes, absolutely.

Plus, Aren't we kinda skirmishing our own planet? Anxes or w/e its called is way too far to be within BR grasp. Gives a good IC motive for BR not to fight back im my opinion.
