Jedi Mom
Mi'la felt more certain than ever as she gave herself to the Force, only to realize not long after, that she was not giving herself up to the Force. She merely was using the Force, with no outside influence. It was such an alien experience, but she could feel it at work as she removed the Force from the barrier she had constructed, alarmed at how easy it now seemed. She realized, thanks in part to Wu, that she hadn't been breathing, and she managed a quick breath to replenish her lungs.
The gateway was failing, slowly losing power, as the pair seemed to have successfully dismantled the device, though as it began to falter, Mi'la felt her connection begin to collapse as well. The ease of her power soon became a struggle, as he connection that encompassed her began to slip, as if she was burning away the very power she was utilizing. The Force melted like sand in Mi'la's hands, and with it, her barrier began to thin. It was too late for the gateway to rebound, the damage done to it made it far too weak to resist, and with Wu's assistance, the crisis was kept as a mere extreme worry in Mi'la's mind.
With portal flickered out of existence, Mi'la fell to her knees, panting and drained, as the Force that had filled her now came rushing back out. She had pushed herself too far it seemed.
