Quest to find her past. (open)

Kitty

The Attention Seeker
"Right my apologies. Sometimes its hard to remember we come from much different backgrounds." The King said forcefully through his teeth. The king would have left it like that but the sith kept pushing. "I will not stand being insulted anymore than you will you are no longer welcome her I want you off my planet." The king said calling his guards. "No!" Kitty shouted out. "I want to hear it." "I thought you didn't want to hear it." Was the kings reply. "I want to hear this." Kitty said stubbornly. "Look Koneko we love you." The queen tried to say comfortingly. "Then prove it, answer the question." "Fine but after he leaves." The king waved the guards over again. "No, if he goes I go." To that the king halted his guards. Only now did the king notice the tears wetting the fur on her cheeks. "It's hard enough to train normal full grown adults. Not all of them figure it out. You were young and born with a special condition that made it even more difficult. We figured it was impossible to train you to control it especially for how young you were there was no way we could have. As for when you disappeared were really busy that day and didn't find out till the morning. We searched everywhere but we figured you were taken and assassinated so that there would be no concern over who would be next in line for the throne. We didn't find out for awhile after that we couldn't have any more children. What point is there in wasting resources for a child we were certain was dead. We looked for as long as we could but there were others that needed help Look we love you but we can't look forever for a child we were sure was dead and gone." Was the kings answer. "No, no you didn't love me. What little use you did have for me was to continue the family line and even in that I was nothing. What I am having a hard time figuring out is how are you any different from that slaver. Hell that slaver might have been better than you. He didn't care what people said about me."
[member="Darth Ferus"]

Ferus took a slight step back as [member="Kitty"] showed her own anger. It was neither good, nor bad, that she was showing her anger finally. A smile formed on his lips as he watched, something that he just couldn't hide. These were her first steps towards becoming Sith. But his voice would call out, aiming to add gasoline to the fire. "What I don't understand is why you are so silent, queen. You who looked so relieved to find her again. Did you once stand up for her? To try and keep her from being locked away."

"We made some pretty bad mistakes. We had a special needs child and an unhappy populace. The decisions we made were not the right ones. After you disappeared I often wondered how it could have been different and wished I could take it all back do it right. I thought you were gone. Imagine my surprise and happiness when you came back today. If you give us a second chance I promise we won't fail you again. Your father isn't happy about what we did either but we just aren't use to the presence of a sith. I still am having a hard time believing there are two in this very room which I am talking with about family matters. When you hear stories of sith you hear about the death and destruction they cause and when you expect to see a sith you expect death and destruction. Now we are discussing our failings as parents with one of them about our daughter who is also a sith. Even if we were told what would happen today we still would not have been ready." the queen said.

Kitty also found herself longing for a do over. She had made connection though that she did not want to abandon with Ferus and with Bar'reth. She was so conflicted and did not know what to say. She needed someone to talk to. She wished Bar'reth was here.
[member="Darth Ferus"]

"So you lock away a child who needed you, and never see her. And try to say -sorry-? Sorry that she felt like a monster for all of her life? To have to run away and -live a life in chains-!? She grew up a slave, and you've said nothing about it. Not once brought it up, not once asked her about it. Refused to take -responsibility-. You, as parents, do not deserve a do over. And if [member="Kitty"] thinks you do, it is only because of the kindness you should feel fortunate she didn't loose in her time under her abusive master." Ferus's anger was no longer hiding very well. In fact, his skin had started to become black, a sign of the dark side beginning to course through his form. For once, it was he about to go into a rage.

The king and queen didn't know what to think when Ferus's skin started to change color. They had no idea their lives now hung on a thread which meant they probably were going to say something that sent Ferus over. Kitty knew though. The young feline was beyond glad he was angry for her. This was the most she had ever seen him display just how much he cared for her. Still they were her parents and they could be the only glimpse into what a normal life would look like. If one could call living as royalty normal.

Quickly Kitty got up from her seat and ran in front of Ferus. "Please don't I need them. Lets just talk about this you and me, away from them. Whenever I get stressed out I remove myself from the situation if I can to prevent myself from shifting. And you can go somewhere else right now, we both can." Kitty said trying to calm her master down.
[member="Darth Ferus"]

The fury within the Zabrak's eyes became much more visible, them turning from blue to a deep gold, and into a much darker red from there. Gold was normal for this Sith, a mark of the darkside flowing through him. But red, no. That meant he was loosing control. Around him the room began to shake, the force reacting violently to his will. His mind had become consumed by the single thought that these people, [member="Kitty"] 's parents, had done something so terrible, something that if Ferus had done he would of given himself the most painful death he could imagine.

He could no longer be reached as something within him finally snapped. A single hand pointed to the king, and while nothing happened to him the guards throughout the room were suddenly lifted into the air, gripped by the throat from the malevolence that was Ferus's darkness. "Even now you do not take responsibility! Tell her the truth on how you feel. Tell her how much you truly hated her, free her from this pain once and for all, or I will show you her pain ten fold." All around him the noise of the guards chocking, gasping for breath, would fill the air, acting as music now, horrible music.

There was no stopping the Sith now.

Kitty

The Attention Seeker
Kitty saw Ferus changing to something she had never seen before. She didn't know what it meant all she knew is that it scared her and it seemed her feelings were right as the entire room shook. The guards were put on alert and Ferus raised his hand with a finger directed at the king. "No!" Kitty shouted but the king was not the one to suffer rather it was the guards who were lifted and struggled to breath through their clenched throats. "They don't have anything to do with this put them down." Kitty begged her master.

"Just calm down Ferus the girl's right they don't have anything to do with this. I'll answer your question there is no need to hurt anyone." The king said. He couldn't believe how fast things had escalated and was struggling to stay in control of the situation.

Kitty knew Ferus would not listen to anything the king had to say and ignored him herself as well. "I don't want anyone to be shown my pain, please don't." Kitty begged one last time. She figured this was her last chance to reach him.
[member="Darth Ferus"]

"A Sith does not negotiate. A Sith does not forgive. Tell her the truth, or I will kill -everyone-." This was no idle threat, for as he spoke the soldiers were lifted into the air. An overwhelming feeling of hate would wash over everything close by, and [member="Kitty"] may feel a suffocating feeling from the darkness the Zabrak was releasing. His red eyes focused exclusively on the king, seeming to ignore everything else, including the small females voice.

Kitty

The Attention Seeker
Kitty words would not reach him and she found out why when she could feel his intense hate wash over her and it felt hard to breath. What else could Kitty do but cry about what was happening. She could hardly process what was going on anymore and her own stress levels were beginning to rise very rapidly.

The king in the mean time just accepted he had lost control. Did it really matter what he said at this point. If he didn't talk lives would be on his hands if he did they might be spared hopefully. "Alright we were angry she was ever born yes. Angry we didn't have a proper first born to continue the family line angry she caused us so much trouble and angry nobody seemed to approve of her. But we still loved her and we still do. As my wife said. We are sorry for what we did, but we didn't know any better at the time. We promise to do better this time."
[member="Darth Ferus"]

Finally, the Zabrak let his hand fall, and the group of guards were dropped as well, landing on the ground around him and gasping for air. Red eyes returned to blue as he looked over the king with contempt, his voice practically a growl. "You've no right to re-enter the life of a child you chose to abandon. Hell, I bet the only reason you wish to is for public opinion. You noble scum disgust me."

[member="Kitty"]

Kitty

The Attention Seeker
The king could only give a light chuckle to that. "Public opinion dropped when we had here and if you think it isn't going to drop again if she comes back then you are mistaken. This time though we aren't going to let public opinion effect how we raise our daughter." The king said.before trying to figure out what to do with Ferus. Probably wasn't a wise idea to do anything about him. He could have killed all the guards in the room just by lifting a single hand. It probably wouldn't make any difference how many guards he had. He knew first hand though that the sith truly were monsters. He could only prey his daughter would give them a chance to save her from them. In the mean time he ordered the guards to show the two to the guest quarters.

"What about my room?" Kitty asked before they were escorted. This time it was the queen who spoke. "We kinda renovated it for kittens that we now know will never come." She said in an apologetic tone. With that the two sith were escorted to one of the guest rooms.

"How come my parents mean something to you?" Kitty couldn't help but ask Ferus as she sat down on one of the comfy couches.
[member="Darth Ferus"]

Ferus went silent after the king spoke. Anymore and he would certainly pass a line he knew he couldn't come back from. Calmly he would let the guards lead [member="Kitty"] and himself to her room, not even responding to the Queens response about the room. He figured as much, Royals tended to forget family that were burdens. Finally, however, once they were alone he spoke, his now blue eyes on the feline.

"Anyone who would forsake their children matter to me. It's not something you do, ever. And death is the only thing you deserve after. Your parents are disgusting people."

Kitty

The Attention Seeker
Kitty was a little disappointing by Ferus's answer. She was kinda hoping for something a little more personal. Regardless she decided to ask the question she really wanted to ask, the question she had a very hard time asking because it meant so much to her and she was afraid of the answer "Do....do you...." Kitty tried to force the question out of her mouth. "Do you consider me......like a daughter?" Kitty asked in a quiet voice and her tail twitching nervously.
[member="Darth Ferus"]

Blue eyes darted over to [member="Kitty"] , practically glaring at her from his form. As a daughter? What was she thinking? Actually, what was he thinking? Since when did he ever not kill someone for the sake of someone else? The eyes softened after a moment, and he reached out to pat her head. "Something like that, I suppose. Anyone else, and I probably would of killed their parents no matter how much they begged me not to. But do not repeat this again. The Sith would punish us both for such thoughts, without mercy." Ferus was paranoid as ever, but she was correct on this matter.

Even if he didn't like admitting it.

Kitty

Kitty tensed up as her master glared at her. Her ears went down and her fur stood on end. She gave a confused look when Ferus's expression softened. Next thing she knew he reached out and patted her head while saying yes without outright saying yes. Kitty's ears perked up and she closed her eyes purring into Ferus's palm. All those years of being uncertain being scared of knowing and now she knew and now she was happier than ever. Though it also brought up some confusing feelings. What was she going to do about her real parents. Had Ferus said no they would have been all she had, she would have had to given them another chance. Now it wasn't so desperate but she still felt a pull towards them. She supposed she could just visit them every once in awhile. Either way she let her warm feelings consume her eclipsing those of confusion. She wanted this moment to last forever.

Of course time would move on uncaring of the whims of those who were trapped within it and guards would arrive to inform the two of another meal prepared. This time there were a lot more guards stationed in the dinning room. Kitty sat but did not eat. Right now she felt most pleasantly full in every way imaginable.
[member="Darth Ferus"]

Before the pair would leave, Ferus would stop [member="Kitty"] l, a frown on his face once more. "I am serious, this cannot be publically known. If anyone learns I care for you like my own child, they will use you against me without hesitation. If such a thing happens, I cannot protect you. And if someone were to use me, do not give into them. We are Sith, and we cannot show weakness." His voice was stern, but what he said next was far more so.

"And your parents must die. Their crimes are unforgivable. What do you say to this?"

Kitty

The Attention Seeker
"Yea I got it. I just didn't want to think about it right now. I promise I won't tell anyone or let anyone know I promise." Kitty replied. The next thing Ferus said after that though shocked her. "Wh-what? I can't kill my parents. I won't be staying with them but I still want to give them a second chance and visit them every once in awhile. When you picked me I wasn't given the choice of sith or jedi but regardless I did make a decision. The jedi don't believe in forming attachments and that is just something I just can not accept. I can forgive them. They may not have raised me or at least I don't consider they have, but they are still my parents I can't kill them. Maybe before they apologized I could have kinda like I killed that slaver but I'm beyond that now." Kitty replied hurt he would ask her to do such a thing.
[member="Darth Ferus"]

"This isn't about the Jedi. This is about being Sith. They broke you, they ruined you. They are your chains, holding you back. You know the Sith Code [member="Kitty"] , your chains must be broken for you to continue. So long as they breath, I cannot train you any further." She was going to have to follow her passion on this one. What he would not tell her, however,r is that there was always an alternative answer, but forgiveness was not the case on this one.

Kitty

The Attention Seeker
"Holding me back from what? This is my choice, this is something I want to do. The only person holding me back right now is you. Are you refusing to train me if I don't kill my parents? That looks a whole lot like you're the one holding me in chains. My chains need to be broken, does this mean I should kill you?" Kitty asked with much anger. Her tail was starting to thrash about behind her.
[member="Darth Ferus"]

"One day, yes. You will have to break free from my chains. That is the way of the Sith [member="Kitty"] . Speak with your parents, try to understand all you can. But know that to progress you will have to break the chain that binds you to them. If not, nothing more I teach will be of any use to you." Blue eyes softened as the female began to show her rage. She was correct, in more ways than she probably wanted to be, but he wasn't here to spell it out for her. No, they didn't need to die, but if he told her that then this lesson would be a waste, and it would be hard to recover from it.

That, and he still wanted to see her father torn in half.
