Remember who You are (Open)

Emberlene's Daughter, The Jedi Generalist

"I remember." Matsu rolled her shoulders at the sight of it, the notes and research bringing her attention back to the orchid. It was tapping the glass of its new containment area and Matsu smiled. Strangely they had many things to do and now her room her desk was littered with trinkets and bobbles. The datapad chirped to reflect what was being bid and she raised an eyebrow.

"How amusing." Matsu shut off the datapad and checked the droid while she moved towards the cockpit. They were over Vaynai for now after having left Voss and she set the course. It was time to see what could come of it all and down to the depths was enough. She needed to relearn and refocus, find herself instead of just artifacts. With a small huff she cast the robes off and stood in her sarashi.

She could hear the orchid speaking and it was nice to have a travel companion now while she set the course. There were many places she could go but it came down to a simple test of time and resolve. Matsu watched as the ship jumped for the world she had known and smiled to herself. She wanted to see what had come of it all after she left and brushing herself off saw the starlines.

She was heading somewhere she hadn't visited in years not since she had gone to understand their culture, her old master had done as needed and had taught her. The techniques of the shapers were one of the first steps to relearning how to alter truly the environment and reconnect with her old self. Others weren't going to say 'You have lost the force and now if you refind its touch your a new person' she suspected agenda and pettiness would reign.

She spoke coming back into the room and rolling her shoulders. With a smile to the flower and her desk she looked at the cube that sat there, it was so special being able to be held in her hand. Special enough that the old jedi artifact was well worth it, hell as she looked around the bulk of artifacts they had recovered were worth it. Until the silver jedi had a proper vault secured and hidden away they were in the vanguard and sealed in cases.

Along with the sith holocrons and journals she made sure the small trinkets of force artifacts were collected and secured away. Then she was looking at the bed and focused more on that laying down to focus her mind. The small connection to the force she had was returning in increments and small leaps but now where near as fast as she would have liked.

The trip was its own calming experience to her, where she was used to the silence of the ship now there was some activity, the orchid speaking and singing to itself softly, the few droids she had, the silver jedi who came on or students she had taught that still preferred information over silence from the jedi. She preferred anything really and had made sure she would enjoy her exile.

Comforts and care were the right way to go about it and discovering mysteries while not reporting to many others, she would gladly check in with Iella and the silver jedi but they allowed her freedom and wouldn't make waves about her relationship with Hanna. They wouldn't care about her secreting herself off to Spira for meet ups with her Hapen beauty.

Matsu rolled over onto her side and started working on another datapad as she tapped the screen and planned an itinerary. She would go to her old sects and relearn, rediscover herself. The Shapers, the Baren Do, the Fallanassi, the Jal Shey, the Zeizon Shal, the Matukai, the clans of Dathomir, the disciples of twilight, the ember of vahl, the atrisian underworld and Sälãi Käsi.

They all had taught her a great deal and been central to her development as a jedi before on top of the order itself and the Imperial knights. She had the lessons of her own and more then enough time to work upon it. She wanted to bring her own information to forefront. She would also have to stop at Emberlene and visit her family, the ones there to see what they knew of the state for the galaxy.

As she finished and read some holonet news she saw the destruction of the space ports over Drunkenwell and all the problems that the CIS were going through. So many things in the galaxy were falling away for the ones in power and she would have who knew how much to look forward to eventually. The galaxy would get smaller and smaller but she could keep flying until her goal was done.

"ahhhh" Matsu yawned feeling sleep coming on while she laid there in the bed and was glad to have finished all she needed to do. They would arrive at the shapers and she would do as needed to learn and study with them, see what they saw in her before and understand nature once again. The thought she might have gotten to big and too arrogant? She had to ask that question but what was a jedi without the pursuit of knowledge.

Stagnation, cliche mentality and greed came to her mind. Those who had the knowledge would horde it and keep others from learning or finding out. Dangerous knowledge surely should be kept safe but there was much more that was harmless and only a danger to people should be kept out of some hands but at least teach some form of defense against it, a warning for others.

Matsu was glad she didn't have more pride then most in this only, she continued to let the sigil and solari crystal remain by her bedside and they glowed softly to tell her she was still within the light. Pulsing with energies while she breathed in and out deeply the cloying scent of lavender as she drifted off to sleep curling under the covers and on the pillow.

Jeela leaned against the wall next to her bunk, eyes closed, and hand held out in front of her. Her lightsaber and a few credit chips hovered there, circling slowly. Space travel was boring, and she wasn't sure how to relate to Matsu anymore. She was still her tech er in her mind, yet Matsu was again a student with her recently renewed Force connection. The only clear aspect was that Matsu still knew a great deal about many things.

She paused the object's circling, and switched their movements to up and down. She had decided lately to begin practicing her Jensaarai skills again, starting with ballistikinesis. The was the least complicated, except perhaps hiding her Force signature, which was easy enough since she had done it quite often.

On this journey though? She did not know of she would need it or not. So it would be better to keep things in tune. She went ahead and hid her Force signature, just to stay in practice, and leaned forward to catch the credit chip that had fallen with the change in concentration.

It was almost a relief to be off of Voss. She'd gotten so used to traveling that to stay in one place was odd. Her feet had started to get twitchy and gravity had begun to weigh down on her. Yet, it felt odd to leave, like so e part of her was again connected to a planet even when she wasn't there. Odd how quickly it could happen.

The addition of Jeela brought Matsu's attention around as she thought about it and the ship arrived several hours of travel later. She couldn't teach.... yet but then she knew to be a teacher you had to be willing to learn and few wanted to learn when they only thought themselves right. It was why now as she laid there and rose up from the bed hearing the chrono she dressed in basic attire. Black pants, boots, tunic and gloves, a sleek coat going down to her knee's and hugging tightly around her shoulder. Her black hair coming down to her chest after she had it cut.

"Jeela what do you know of the shapers." She reached into the force to try and speak but found the comlink more useful while she walked with a smile and put her hands in her pockets. She walked across the hall to the bunks and held a smile on her face while she walked and turned on her heel she felt better. Traveling the stars with someone was always preferable to being alone. It was why she usually surrounded herself with her family and few friends who remained. Hanna was invaluable to the Republic and they needed her, she could see her in small doses in vacations and breaks from the sessions.

She could also remember the history and splendor of this world as walking across the surface she breathed in the scents of life of community and or the different types of shapers. Their mysterious skills force based in nature and their skills as she walked into the hub city. A place where all the different shapers came to meet and practice. SHe had read the reports of ones like Morna and Lexa who had fought the Republic and they were dangerous but fire shapers were not evil. Water could kill, earth destroy and the winds change to kill.

She continued to walk and leave plenty of room for Jeela and any questions she might have. She was certain this was going to be quite a trip to behold for the Jensaari who had joined the order and she was certain there would be many more questions before the time was done. Matsu had more then enough time and she wouldn't stop until she fulfilled her purpose. She came to the section while smiling. "Uncle Sang." The old man turned around and looked up at them, his cherry red nose and cheeks from the heat and single arm coming to embrace Matsu as he picked her up.

Jeela started as her comlink beeped, and the objects crashed to the floor. They didn't seem to be damaged in any way, which was why she had chosen them. She dug her comlink from her pocket and listened tone message. The shapers? She frowned, thinking.

"They are a sect of Force users," She said slowly, "who use the Force to shape the elements somehow, if I remember correctly." She furrowed her brow, trying to dredge up any other information she might have. "Like the Jensaarai, they also had conflict with the Jedi before establishing a truce, essentially." She wasn't sure how that conflict had happened. She did know that with her order, the Jedi had killed the founder and his two lieutenants (which she was glad for), and then conflicted with them early on after the rise of New a republic due to them being held hostage by a former Imperial commander.

She slipped off her bunk and pulled the objects back to her with the Force. There wasn't room for true practice for ballistikinesis aboard this vessel, so she worked on telekinesis of multiple objects. She hurried after Matsu, slinging her pack over her shoulder. Just like old times now. She gave a small smile as her heartbeat increased in excitement.

She stopped as they met the man, whom Matsu clearly knew well, and she hung back, turning slightly to examine the tops of the city she could see. It was truly quite beautiful, in its own way. Granted, most places were. The key was adjusting one's perspective to see it. She had, for the most part, gotten a knack for it, but there were places where she couldn't. Fortunately, this was not one of them.

Matsu stood in the room as her uncle Sang finished hugging her and she moved around closing the door. Many knew of her family... well they knew the Ike's roamed the galaxy and many found their ways into be jedi or force groups. Because they could and because long ago their ancestors had done things supposedly to keep the force strong in their family. Now he was standing here with Jeela next to her and sitting down spoke to the man who brought a tray of food and drinks. Practiced and trained to turn his lack of an arm into a strength.

"After Coruscant I looked for you uncle, I feared the worse but then I was told by Nico you had come here, come home after so many years." The man gave a nod of his head and escaping Coruscant after the sith attack had been touch, it had been too long since she last visited the man and he spoke. "You know me little man, I am harder to kill then many give me credit for. I even made sure Saia got out with her new baby. Who you did not come and see mind you." Matsu bowed her head in apology while she thought about it and watched closely as she spoke more looking at Jeela.

"This is a former student of mine, I have brought her and myself to learn from you Uncle the teaching of the shapers to have a broader view of the force and of life. I hope that will not be too much trouble. I know some wish to keep secrets and safety." A small smile though did come to her face as he took an old jedi credit out of his pocket and placed it on the table. "For you again, Saia will be happy to see you since the two of you are sticking around and I will gladly reteach you while showing your former student." Though he did frown. "I had hoped such rumors were just that Matsu, just goes to show the dangers in this galaxy and that life is suffering."

He rose though to leave time for it to sink into Jeela and enjoy the scene before her, Matsu held her credit in her hand and was grinning. Learning here would be fun and seeing her niece's or nephews might be something interesting. The jedi tapped the table and finished as the sound of more people arriving brought her attention back. "Jeela you are in for a special treat, learning how to shape and seeing some of the reality behind it can allow one to learn the basis and concepts to altering their environment."

Jeela hung back behind Matsu greeted her family and caught up with each other, some tension evident, as her shoulders were slightly hunched and she shifted from one foot to another. She had never truly had a family. She had been taken to train as a Jensaarai before she was a year old, as was the family tradition for those with a Force sensitivity, which happened fairly regularly. There has typically been at least two in each generation, stretching back almost to the founding of the order.

Even with the small size of the Jensaarai acting as a type of family, it still wasn't quite a family the way a proper family would be. There was not much affection for each other or light hearted poking at each other as she could see here. She wasn't quite sure how to behave, especially as it felt like she was invading. Or if not invading, then trespassing. Not quite where she belonged, certainly.

She bowed respectfully when she was introduced, "May the Force be with you and your family." She resumed listening again until he had bustled out again. She turned back to Matsu as she spoke.
"My thanks to you and your family for their hospitality and teachings." She trailed off, trying to find the right words. "I...had not realized what a family could be like until arriving here. That itself, in addition to shaping, will something wondrous to learn."

Matsu grinned to that, she had learned many things about her family but none more important then that they were scattered throughout the galaxy. "It is okay Jeela once we meet with the others it should be quite easy to begin." And it did, As Saia entered holding twin girls the half sister who looked like Matsu in almost every way except her eyes were pale blue. Matsu hugged her and kissed the white hair babies as she gathered a few things and led the way out to the back. Her uncle had set up several things and two mats for them to kneel on as Matsu went and knelt.

The older man waited for Jeela to come and kneel on her mat while he spoke with a smile drawing in the dirt the arubesh symbol for fire shaping. "Fire is a symbol of power of warmth, energy and protection. The people who shape fire have the energy, will and desire to achieve the goals they create for themselves and push forward but it is no stronger then the other elements of the world and the purest expression of it... is the coldest rage. Lightning can be made from the energy and sent to defend others. It is not like the sith preach and need hate."

We continued to draw changing to the symbol for Earth and spoke. "The shapers of the earth are diverse and varied just like its name sake able to be course sand or solid stone. They are traditional and humble, patient and enduring. The power they create is rooted to the ground connecting them deeply to the planets heartbeat. The purest form of their energy and power is to find the refined earth that is metal and shape it to their will, to focus their powers." He had the four symbols so far from the shapers elements and kept drawing in the dirt.

"The shapers of the air are kind and passive, elusive and as intangible at times. They have detached themselves from the world they knew so that they might have nothing to hold them down. The purest form of their powers and focus is to enter and find the focus of the ether, the other worlds beyond shadow." He tapped Matsu on the forehead and spoke. "Something you know well how to do as I recall going beyond shadows and finding the secrets of that realm."

The third part of the drawing was done and now he moved on. "The final form of shaping and the most adaptable are the shapers of water. They are capable of moving, of adapting and of learning many things. Their sense of community and love for each other unites them as they can douse fire, carve earth and fill the air. The purest form and greatest feat is the change from a solid to a liquid as they form ice. A shaper able to use the elements to their advantage know how to create even stronger things. They know how to shape the world to their thoughts."

Jeela gave a small nod in response to Matsu's comment, and the followed her and her uncle, giving quick, goofy smiles to the children as she passed them. Babies were nicer than adults. So much easier to interact with andl less likely to fail. Not until they're older anyways.

She quickly followed, picking up her pace to catch up, and then knelt on the mat. She winced slightly as her leg bones dug into the floor beneath the mat, but let the pain drift away in the Force and tilted her head sideways to listen. She leaned forward slightly as he began to talk, both to see and hear better.

She listened, transfixed, drinking it in. There were relationships between personality and the element, then. Was it chosen? Or did one show an affinity for it? The air shapers, he spoke of love, were emotions involved in this? Or was it more like telekinesis, done best while emotionally neutral? She would have to ask these questions when he was finished.

When was this really useable though? Did it help outside of battle? She could see how it would help to create a shelter in an emergency, but hat seemed excessive and indicated a lack of preparation and other skills. Fire though? Air? Or was it not he use, but the understanding it gave? That would be very useful then. A stepping stone, in a way, to a greater understanding.

Matsu looked on while Jeela listened and raised an eyebrow to her. Lot of interest and there was plenty. It all connected in ways that factored in, all created the stances one used as her uncle moved and drew a circle around the symbols. "You will also find that for everything you do there is an opposite, ripples created and that move the world along. The elements and shaping them is only as strong as using the basics and there are misconceptions at times. Some believe one element is the key but many can learn to shape, learn to use others."

He walked into a more open area and stood there as Matsu followed. "Your stance is what can determine your power, the people of air, are always moving. Staying in a circle to defend and evade, the people of the earth are rooted, moving only when they have to and delivering strong strikes. The ones of water move freely adapting to the styles and forms they face while the fire shapers are fierce, fast and aggressive. You will have to learn these and be able to become like a shaper if you want to have some knowledge of the world.

Jeela was fascinated, to put it lightly. She had never heard anything like this at all and more questions spiraled through her mind. Could the stances be combined and switched between the way lightsaber forms could be? Was fire stance closer to the Dark Side in the way Vaapad was? Or did these work entirely differently?

He followed behind the other two and then stood next to Matsu to listen. She wasn't hanging back anymore, not sure where she belonged. She had always enjoyed learning, even though the joy had decreased for a while as tension with her teachers had increased. There was no tension like that way here, and she drank it in like water, focused and intent.

She ran the sketches through her mind again, picturing each one, and contemplating the symbolic meanings within, and what significance their relation to each other might mean, connecting them to how he described the stances.

Matsu didn't need to ask questions but slowly as her uncle moved and started to show them. He took a stance that had his feet firm and brought a hand up. The earth around him rose a little with his movements and then he threw a chunk into the wall. A moment later moving there was a gust of wind going around and Matsu was turning with the wind in a circular motions. That was the secret to keep moving as her uncle spoke demonstrating the solidity of earth and the movement of air. The opposites one based on firm stances for power and the other for movement to get around.

Then he shifted and moved to another position his feet going wide and hands moving back and forth. the water in a basin moving with him, then slowly rising and lowering. He kept the stance and movements up so Matsu and jeela can follow before switching, the movements becoming quick and fierce. Even with one arm his balance and kicks created several sparks and arcs of flame that went into the air. "The world is all around you and can be changed up. You can learn to alter all of it and with practice learn how to greatly improve yourself learning the purest form of shaping."

Jeela's jaw dropped slightly as he went through each stance, and kept getting lower. She had never seen anything like that before, and it was almost beyond believable. She shook her head slightly, in awe. She had seen some impressive stuff with the Force, the mind walking the most impressive so far, but this seemed to take it to an entirely new level.

How did it work? Was to a form of telekinesis that moved the individual atoms? Or a section as a whole? Or something entirely different? She couldn't sense anything different about it. That puzzled her greatly.

She mimicked the stance between stances though, studying his movements and how he shifted his weight around. She didn't try it. Just watched and focused on this rather unfamiliar stance.

Matsu looked at Jeela and spoke as she mimicked and followed through. She went from water first and spoke. "Jeela follow me, using the force to alter the world. To alter and move the water is less about strength and more about alignment, about your breath, body structure and visualization." Matsu remained in one place and slowly moved forward and back until the waters moved with her. "The rising of the tides moves the water, it is soft able to go and form anything that you need it to. A change of state from liquid to to a solid is what a person must do if they wish to survive at times in a dangerous world. Softness and breath are more powerful then hard aggression."

Next she moved on, becoming rooted more and focusing as her stance became one that even the small stature couldn't be knocked over. "Earth is about strong stances, being solid and rooting yourself to the earth. Feeling the power of a powerful step as you move from left to right." Matsu demonstrated more and brought up slowly pebbles from the ground before she kicked one off towards the wall. She lept up a little maintaining a tucked form and brought a rock up as her feet touched the ground before kicking it. "Powerful actions with soft fleeting movement, choose the moment before you need to become solid."

She wasn't done yet, there was still two styles to use and looking at Jeela she did have a smirk on her face. This was something she had missed, intense training and practice. The shapers were powerful and skilled but also something few really learned about while she moved taking her hands and holding them out with some of the rocks. Her energies pooled and she focused pushing into the stone until she felt it and shaping the rocks into a walking stick that went into the water. A quick nod that she knew what she was doing and Matsu prepared.

Then she was moving quicker and more focused with attacks that seemed disjointed but proved powerful. "Fire is strong, power, energy, heat and life it is something every species in the galaxy needed to discover to protect itself. It is what holds back the dark and yet is so easy to use when angered. Your movements are quick and powerful radiating as you inhale heat and energy. Your strength powerful and dynamic while you quickly attack in rapid succession, quick advances and retreats, wider stances, circular movements to generate and form attack and leaping techniques."

Matsu kept moving faster and quicker now leaping and kicking while her fists when she touched the ground punched as well. The fiery arcs coming from her and the small yells showing much as she stopped and focused inwardly inhaling and kicking off with a circular movement of her arms. "Lightning is energy, is power but it is not rage as many believe, it is coldness, buried down feelings that you express it a quick blast of energy." Her hands kept circling before sparks appeared and Matsu shot a finger out sending it into a training dummy. "That is why it is called the cold fire at times. It can be beautiful to look at but just as all things it is very dangerous and if one is not careful can be a step towards the darkside."

Matsu moved for the final form and got into a stance, her hands coming out while she started to move in a circle and generate her own small gust of air. "Shapers of the air move in circles, it creates power, creates energy but not so fast they get dizzy. It is a slow and precise movement. Your movements are constant not allowing others to get a solid hold on you and you become like the air, become intangible and strong. Each movement allowing you to build up energy and power for when you need to attack, when you need to strike." Matsu kept moving and then stopped spinning around and letting a solid blast of telekinetic and air distorted hit a dummy."

"As you move the goal is to get behind who you fight, hand on their spine so they cannot come face to face with you. This will allow you to maintain the advantage and upper hand if you must fight but this is mostly to not fight. Use it to escape and move away." Matsu stopped and stood there as she bowed to her uncle and got some claps from her half sister who had been watching. She hadn't done that in a long time and standing there now she was glad to see it all pay off while hoping Jeela had been able to follow. The girl really was skilled.

Jeela nodded, and then utilized what she had observed to imitate what [member="Matsu Ike"] was demonstrating. She took a calming breath, and focused. Water form first. She placed her feet, shifting them to ensure a solid footing. Then she paused, preparing. Straight-backed, eyes closed, and letting breath flow in and out, not unlike the shifting of the tides themselves. She reached out with the Force, extending herself, visualizing herself as the water in the pool. She began to rock back and forth, slowly at first, gently increasing her speed. She focused not on,speed, though, but on fluidity. She never moved abruptly or suddenly changed directions. Even changing directions was a movement started long before, almost even before the seeming direction change. The water moved with her. The smallest ripples at first, barely noticeable. Then they started to grow, turning into visible ripples, and then small waves. She stopped and opened her eyes, smile slightly at the sight of the water's slight movement.

Then the rock and earth shaping. It was different than water. She readjusted her stance, planting both feet solidly on the ground, and knees bent more, leaning back in one direction. This made her immovable, as it lowered her center of gravity to just above the ground. While she could certainly be displaced, it would take a significant amount of force. Or the Force. She reached into the ground, becoming the earth, assuming its ancient solidity. She stopped forward, and replanted her foot, hands moving out together, fingers pointed out. She stepped back, pivoting, and thrust both hands forward. A few pebbles shifted., but she couldn't see them. She jumped up, leg snapping out in quick kick, before she came back down, planting her feet again. Her eyes opened at the sound of pebbles falling back to the ground, She reached down, and pulled up, feeling rock rise to follow her hand.

Two more forms to go. Now fire. More dangerous than the others, for it seemed to walk close to the Dark. Ironic, given that it created light. She planted her feet again, crouching lower, and extending her arms, almost like wings. She took a deep breath, and started, snapping forward with her arms, and twisting from her hips, rotating through the motion, following through with a kick, and making a small leap, twisting around in a circle. She landed, catching herself with one hand, and then spinning around again to swing up in another fierce strike. She was fire. Flames danced when one looked carefully enough. So she did. Her arms were tongues of flame, and legs the center. Flame pulsed with each deep, focused breath. She opened her eyes. Small flames danced before her. Warm fire. Cold fire was something she hesitated to try, but decided to try it. She dug up the frustration from the complacency of the Jensaarai, and shoved it forward, and sparks crackled before her, and the tension within seemed to fade a little.

She paused to catch her nearly ragged breath, and wipe the sweat from her forehead. Blood pounded through her ears. She sunk into the coolness of the Force, letting it rejuvenate her and she took strength from it. Then here was one last stance.

She retook her stance, though not standing in one place this time. She Egan to walk slowly in a circle, picking up speed, feeling the air pulse in time with her breathing, slowly beginning to spiral through her circle, and she began to move, driving her hands forward and from above. She was wind, cavorting and spiraling around, always moving, watching as the lives of sentients went on beneath her, but then she moved on in a circle, bring her leg up in a kick, and a burst of wind burst forth in turn with it.

She stopped again, pleasantly surprised at those successes. It had felt right, almost. It was strange, truly, how that had worked.

Matsu watched with enjoyment as Jeela mirrored her and did much, she was doing good and picking it up. So many lessons were and would have to be had but they could practice with each other more, her movements continued to go around while she shifted from one element to the next. She let her body move naturally and with the force guiding it into such a position until sweat was beading on her forehead and she stopped eventually taking large gulps of air.

"Alright you two, come on inside and eat you have had quite a day and learning how to shape is a lifetime not just one day. You'll be able to do it tomorrow and it will be easier with a full stomach." Looking over to her uncle Matsu gave a nod of her head while she moved feeling her muscles straining and protecting to the movement. She wanted to eat and sleep.

Jeela bent over slightly, winded, and worked on catching her breath. That was more of a workout than she had had in a long while. She should probably work to fix that, especially if she was going to be learning to master the shaping skills. To become the environment in which she stood, it required her to stretch herself farther than she thought possible, and the perspective was strange. Troubles seemed far less significant, almost fleeting. Which, in a way, they were. It was just unusual to look at them that way.

She stood and followed [member="Matsu Ike"] and her uncle back inside, contemplating this paradigm shift that had just occurred. The a force was more mysterious than she had even considered. So much more powerful. So much more dangerous. A shiver ran through her spine. She would have to use caution.

Matsu continued inside and taking a seat at the table looked at what was laid out for them. Plenty of food and family style with large plates for them all to take what and how much they wanted, Saia was there with the two children in chairs while the woman spoke. "So where will you be off to after this? I know the jedi won't be happy, well not all the jedi that you refuse to lay down and die." She had a mischievous smile on her face to that though. Matsu smiled taking a bite of some food.

"The jedi sister will never be happy, they love to fight and if not against sith they will turn on each other. I can see why you left the order and kept yourself hidden away avoiding them." The two shared a smile though and Matsu turned to Jeela. "My uncle is going to send with us some scrolls and papers for shaping, we can't send years here relearning we have a to continue on our journey Jeela." With a look at her though Matsu had another bite as Saia spoke. "And I am coming with you both, you'll need someone with their full connection to the force to conceal the ship from zealots like the rumored one running around hunting artifacts."

Jeela followed, and took a seat next to Matsu,,only half listening to the conversation. She was focused mainly on eating and making silly faces with the children. A strange feeling settled over her, warm, and comforting. Contentment. That was it, she thought. It certainly fit the description of it that she had heard. She smiled, a genuine, unguarded happy smile at the children. Then she heard her name and jerked her attention back to the others. She rewound the words she had been half hearing. Scrolls and papers.

She bowed her head in appreciation, "That is very kind, and I thank you for it." Artifact collector? Zealot? She tilted her head in surprise. She had not heard anything about this at all. But then, she was hardly up on current affairs. Not like she used to be when she lived and travelled to follow the news stories. "Which zealot is this?"

Matsu looked at Jeela and shrugged. "I am not certain who but I have seen this before, the jedi are like the seasons when it comes to the people in charge. They can be string and helpful nurturing those under them or they are controlling and try to horde everything in the galaxy back into their vaults." She sighed though with a small smile. "It is a shadow of greed and they justify it as their property. The ancient artifacts of the galaxy are more then that."

She continued eating though and was enjoying the meal with the others while she found herself relaxing more. In some ways she had went out to collect artifacts, several in fast and held them because they could be dangerous. The eye of the sun could empower the darkstaff to destroy an entire system, the cube could create and forge from the power of the force in other artifacts. She knew the dangers they posed and had brought them to her and a place for safekeeping. "I would not worry about a zealot jedi though more then likely when the council changes again it will bring new direction."

Jeela considered this carefully, weighing various perspectives and possibilities, and then shrugged it off. So be it. She wasn't going to brush it off so quickly, but she would let it rest for now. Rumors often held more value than they seemed at first look. Some had saved her life. Others had nearly killed her.

She turned back to the food, and crossed her eyes for a moment at the kids, puffing her cheeks out slightly.

"That is sensible. Would one of them bother us anyways? We aren't Sith." Well, for the most part. She probably knew a significant amount about the Sith to be held in suspicion. Her identity before leaving had been a Sith word, even. Maybe she should be a touch more cautious, depending on how zealous this zealot was. No need to make things worse than they already were.
