Matsu blushed a little... mostly hidden from her pale skin but she spoke. "I did not know either but as I tried it and learned how best to do it... there was some talent." She moved about and was smiling while thinking about switching over her ships. She had a nice hanger that was full of ships she could use at her leisure. She went to the ramp and seeing Saia waving them off the jedi padawan secured her hair up with two mother of pearl chop sticks for defense but she was greeted by the older woman wearing a white dress. "Welcome Matsu, Syn said you would stop by." Matsu bowed with a smile.

Jeela followed [member="Matsu Ike"] down the ramp, stopping behind and slightly to her, and bowing right after her, staying slightly behind, not wishing to interrupt. If she had just stumbled on that talent, was ere a possibility she had some other talent? Something that could create something beautiful? She would have to do some experimenting on once they retuned to Voss. Find a hobby or something.

Matsu looked at Arya and gave a nod of her head while they started walking. The Fallanassi Elder bringing them into a large tower while she offered food and drinks. The majority of the city seemed empty as Matsu was guessing where they might be or what they might have been doing. "They are hidden away, not everyone is happy to have jedi on the world." Another thing she had been told, Arya was perceptive or at least she had guessed for what people thought. Matsu turned to look at Jeela and gave a nod. This was going to be a fun time.

Jeela followed behind, studying the city around, rather perturbed by its emptiness. Had something serious happened? A plague? Attack? Something else? Then Arya explained, and it clicked. They truly did have no desire for conflict. Strange. But then, her order had done the same in it a history before as well. She gave a small, bitter smile. Strange how things changed over time.

"Fortunately then, I do not think I truly qualify as a Jedi."

"Jedi or no, force users who hold a blade are cats of a different coat." She had a smirk on her face while entering the room and going to the center of it. Matsu noticed the dim light and stale air but it was something strange as she could feel it all around her. Arya motioned for them to sit down on the stone tiles. "You are here because unlike the rest of the galaxy you two have respect for some. Others would seek to exploit the gifts taught, they would want to use it for personal gain. In this room we test the children. There are runes written upon the surface of the stone that you must see first to tell if your able to feel the ebb and flow fo the current."

Jeela nodded. That certainly made sense. The simple fact that one carried a blade indicated that one had a more aggressive thought process, because even defense was a kind of attack in a way. Both could end up being very lethal.

She followed them into the room, frowning in a perplexed manner. That was a bit of an odd test. But then, perhaps not. Many of the tests of the other orders were a little strange as well. What made this one any different? Very little, actually, as far she could tell in her second analysis.

Matsu looked at Jeela and then the woman as she bowed, her mind opening and senses expanding. She could feel the force and the gentle swirl of energies here. The current was like a river, something she had heard described and much like the river of the force she understood it. The concept to her mind made sense if it was all a river, the force is the main and branching off is the different force sects. Some going far and away while others slowly come back around and rejoin bringing new teachings, new information. This meditation, this test was to see into the current and peer into their illusions. She was shifting and focusing, letting her mind focus and then refocus. She was searching to find that sight others had described as a green shimmering sensation.

Jeela followed suit, bowing to the woman, and then knelt on the floor, eyes closed, and stretching out with the Force, finding peace in its currents. Were they the White Current though? She really had no idea. Did it feel different than the normal Force? Look different? Would she suddenly see the runes written around them? Or something completely unexpected?

Matsu continued to focus on the currents of the force her eyes dilating and looking upon the room, slowly she was working to peel back the world as she saw the faint glow of the runes on the surfaces of the room. Her breathing quickened a little bringing about enjoyment as Matsu slowly brought a hand up to touch it and trace it. She was looking upon the runes and then up at Jeela as she felt it, more like her eyes were solid orbs filled with starlight. Matsu was enjoying this feeling.

"Ah there you go, it is not the power of many but all who are willing to look inward can find the power to peel back the layers of the force. With practice and skill you'll be able to sense others who use the current, who enter is flow and use its power for their own ends. You'll be able to create illusions who can see through and see through some of the strongest in the galaxy that others of the current to create. This will help and protect you in the galaxy."

Jeela blinked her eyes, stretching out to feel the room. The force was everywhere in here. She could almost drown in it if she wasn't careful. In layers upon layers of it. The feel of it slowly grew in her awareness. She suspected those were the illusions.

She nudged at one, and it slipped away, revealing two more invisible layers. She frowned, and peeled those back, sensing different ones working differently. She shimmied her awareness beneath them and stopped as a slight flash of green appeared in the corner of her eyes. She pulled away a few more layers, fatigue catching up to her and her shoulders slumping with weariness as the runes sprang into bing before her. She slumped slightly, and wiped sweat from her forehead. This was more difficult than she anticipated.

Matsu looked at Jeela and she moved her hand force energy pooling while she worked on sending some to her, pushing energy into the girl to give her some stamina. If she had been wearing her sigil she would have had more enrgy or if she had been holding the eye of the sun but she couldn't rely on those to empower her. She needed her own strength while speaking. "It is okay, breathe use the force to help your stamina and focus. This lessons can be very tiring."

Jeela felt strength from someone else soak into her body, and she looked up, slightly confused. Then she saw Matsu and nodded slowly, understanding. That made sense. She sank into the currents of the Force, breathing slowly and regularly, letting the Force flow through her and give her strength. She stretched out and peeled away a few more of the layers until the runes blazed brightly ahead of her.

"They are indeed very tiring. Harder than shaping, even."

She had to agree with that, the white current was harder to understand and use compared to the shaper abilities. Arya spoke from the corner of the room while she placed a hand on both of them. "That is because your imposing your influence upon the world while here it is upon yourself. Your own limitations and sub conscious efforts to protect your body you have to work through. Pushing energy upon the world is easier and that is why changing some of the ideals for the body is a stronger technique. You two should rest up, scribing and seeing the current is easier. You still have to learn to walk into it and let it immerse you in illusions."

Jeela nodded, listening and she made a silent connection between the ideas. That made sense. The universe was affected by shaping. With this, she was changing herself. Parts of herself, anyways. The universe really didn't care what happened to a chunk of rock or a burst of flame. Her subconscious though? It cared immensely. It was a tug of war inside herself, pitting herself against her self. No wonder it was so difficult. Rest was going to be important with this technique. A question popped up in her mind.

"How much am I really working change within my subconscious with this skill?"

"Not much, focusing inward and empowering yourself the body treats as at first a foreign virus wanting to resist and protect you. Once you have learned to let it flow naturally your body will not resist and relax. You'll be able to feel the current around you and in others, prepare yourself for dangerous situations by hiding from the strongest users in the current and tides of the force energies. It is not something you can rush and as with everything good it must be learned properly otherwise you end up with people showing these skills and abusing it. Assassins who can go anywhere, apostates who violate their oaths. Dangerous beings."

Matsu remained where she was though and was focusing inwardly. Small shallow breaths that let her know what she was doing and pushing her body to no longer resist. Just like using the force to move her damaged body and muscles she would treat this like something natural that happened in her body. Forming small cords and strands of energy to bring her senses forward, push outwards with the intake of air and expand to cover herself and other with an inhale then contract with the exhale.

Jeela nodded, pursing her lips in thought. This was fascinating. She had never heard much about the interaction between the subconscious and the Force and their interaction. That might be a subject of further research in the future when the galaxy was at peace and she too old serve as she had been. She tapped her fingers slowly, considering its implication.

"The subconscious doesn't recognize the conscious at first, then. I had never realized that was a possibility." She took a deep breath and relaxed, letting the Force flow through her, nudging against the defense of the subconscious, testing it, and then slipping through. There was still tension. She could feel it, and was fully aware of both it and it's source. She nudged at it, but it persisted, though somewhat lessened. As she had been told, it would take time then. Probably a significant amount. But she flung herself outwards regardless, letting her consciousness through the Force spread all around her, feeling the presence of those around her.

She was alive now, in a way that she never felt when not in this state. The universe pulsed around her, hod together by the life that existed within it, bound together by fluctuating cords at looped in and out of each other, growing ever tighter and then loosening, almost like lungs breathing in sequence.

Matsu continued to focus for herself and was shaking her head as sweat went across her brow. Slowly though she was getting it, letting her mind and body react and focus with it. She did it with force body to keep herself from being a bed ridden frail being and other did it with mental shields all just a matter of exercise while she leaned back from kneeling and let out a breath. "I forgot what it was like working out something simple, force body always seemed so much easier." She was laughing while practicing and letting Jeela learn to focus.

Strain and tension built up. She could feel it swelling just beneath her awareness beneath the fibers. She let go of the tension she was maintaining and the moment passed as quickly as it had come. She slumped for a moment, and then straightened. She could sense the layers now, faint differences in the Force, not as distinct as the runes, but more like spider webs. It was odd, and difficult. She relaxed again and the sensation faded once more, leaving nothing but the runes, blazing as if someone had dropped a few stars into the room.

She leaned back, resting on her hands, and then wiped her forehead with the back of her hand, suddenly noticing her parched throat. She let the discomfort fade into the Force and pushed our again, seeking out those gossamer fibers she had sensed.

Matsu was looking at them both, the runes and Jeela and then Arya came back into her vision and she could feel the woman now. Really feel her as she spoke to them both. "There you go, i can feel you now as you can feel me. An unconscious feeling of sensing those who use the current so you know there is an illusion. Now you two look tired and hungry, there is a feast going on outside." She led the way as Matsu stood up and peering outside she was confused at the place pointed to.

"See the people all having fun?" Matsu didn't get what she meant at first, the words not registering in her brain until she thought about it and then looked feeling it. There was something there like a filter and fog over her perception as she worked to peel back the layers and saw it. Could hear it people talking and eating, others playing. All around them in the streets like a normal city. "It is amazing."

Jeela tilted her head listening. A feast going on outside? She should have been able to hear that. Or sense it in some other way. Unless, of course,Mathis was another test with another illusion. She pulled herself up and wobbled to the window, and stretched out with the Force once more. The fibers were there, she could feel them. She pushed them, and they stretched, but nothing happened. She pulled, still nothing. She took another deep breath and shoved herself outwards as hard as she could. The fibers bent and enfolded, and then were gone. She could hear it now, and smell it.

Smiling faintly, she slumped against the wall, exhausted, and face pale and shining. That had been far more difficult than she had anticipated.
