You can fix that in your Character Profile you make Here. Be sure to read the rules and the template Here, and once your Character Sub Account has 50 posts, you can request the Tags for Jedi Padawan, Apprentice, Dark Jedi Padawan, Witch Initiate, or Acolyte Here

This thread is for second chancing Factory Submissions that have been denied.

I'm Sexy and I Know It
Submission: http://starwarsrp.net/topic/73152-m1-01-powered-armor/#entry1085509
Reasoning:

I believe this was unfairly denied simply because instead of continuing dialogue and discussing where further edits would be needed, it was summarily axed. Reasons given were that it was not toned down enough, which I can understand, however in my post where edits were made I clearly stated that if further edits were needed I was open to discussion and making those edits if needed. Instead, the submission was arbitrarily denied for having no weaknesses -

As I've said, the weaknesses are mostly very marginal, if they can be considered weaknesses at all. The thing is definitely not weak in any sense of the word. To spare us all a pile of reports for abuse of a quality 10 limited production power armor that's nearly impervious to most common forms of damage... this is denied.
When many weaknesses inherent were pointed out. Phrik plated powered armor is nothing new to the board as I believe the one Sith created a version at one point and so there is some precedent for the armor.

I'd like the ability to open dialogue and see what edits or further dev threads are needed to get the submission functional.

EDIT:

I actually have an idea that might work for this that will balance it out. I'd like to still have the suit pulled out for edits and reevaluation, but I'd like to take a hammer to it myself. It seems the biggest issue is play-balance and I think I can make this self-regulating to help prevent reports and issues in roleplay.

This wasn't even properly reviewed before it was denied under the claim that the minimum amount of development required for something is 10 posts. I feel this is wrong for a couple of reasons.

  • I have seen things be stamped with development posts less than 10.
  • Nowhere in the Standardization of Development Threads does it say that Development posts have a minimum of 10 posts.
  • My posts are fairly substantive, well beyond what is commonly listed for most Dev threads, but I feel as though that wasn't even considered at all.
So I'd like to have this reviewed for a Second Chance.

The 10 post requirement is stated in the Template itself:

(The main way people work for their toys, though most submissions don't require a development thread. Restricted items require specific development threads. Substantial development threads can help judges approve more powerful submissions. If in doubt, put 'If necessary,' and a judge may or may not ask you for one. Threads cited here must be at least 10 quality posts.)
I did read through your dev and its well written, I'm looking for the things that were approved with a less than 10 post count on their devs - that shouldn't have happened and a mistake that I will personally take the hit for. As for your submission, I am granting the second chance, but be aware that you maybe asked to push it two more posts. The standard is in the template.

There is some disagreement due to what the weight ought to be, and I don't feel as if my submission was being judged fairly as I was told my submission would be judged "by its own merits," when I tried to use other submissions as an example. Frankly I don't see that being a thing anywhere in the rules or an announcement.

I will use two submissions as an example:

http://starwarsrp.ne...-battle-armour/ - 2 qualities lower, and at 6.8kg which is the original weight of my current sub. That's why I was okay with increasing the weight. However; sitting at 8.2 it's still lighter than the next reference which has a lot more equipment...

http://starwarsrp.ne...ry-armor-mk-ii/- Only weighing in at 9kg, with the same quality and more equipment. Not to mention 1-hour oxygen reserves, I don't see why mine should weigh more than that.

The submission itself is actually intended as a replacement for the above. It's intended to be lighter weight, and the weight decrease is intended for improved mobility. If you'd prefer I go around and change out materials for that sake, I can do that. But in the end if the quality remains the same, I don't see it as that necessary. But that of course, would be your prerogative.

I'd also like to point out that Mandalorian armour is canonically 12-14kg which quality rating that would be more or less 8-9.

I would like to request a second chance as I feel as it was poorly judged. I provided the Canon example as asked and then the counter argument I can only say was miss read by the judge.

This armor was capable of surviving a coralskipper's plasma cannon blast and regenerating the damage in less than a day; though the laminanium ingot and the droids power pack would need to be replaced afterwards.

This quote is talking about taking a hit from the plasma Canon that would do a hell of a lot of damage saying that then it's exterior would need replacing as well as the droids power pack (to my understanding a Droid needs one to function). I can simply edit into the sub that beyond so much damage the metal would need replacing but as for as minor to medium damage goes it can self repair as provided in the link to the Canon example.
