Sekalien Supernova (ORC T2 Dominion of Ancora & Torrential )

Bryce exited the turbolift just in time to hear Jorus's apology and not much before. From the tone and mood he could figure out what the conversation may have been about.

"Well guess that will go for me too Sanya. With what your people now face it doesn't matter much till we get them safe. This business with your system star though troubles me. Star of its age don't go like it is looking to do. It has not even fit it's red giant stage. It is skipping a few steps to go to boom, no real reason why either. This is bad business, unnatural business. Basically something is just not right and not knowing why is eating at me. "

Or rather, it was not safe to let in any more Croa in the ship at all. Already millions of Croa were loaded in the ship as its access ports were being closed. For the next half-hour, it was going to be a most unpleasant experience as the ship left atmosphere at a slow, lumbering pace that even the elite carriers she knew about (and not simply because they were built on the same chassis as the Ultima and its sister ships) could overtake them. It was going to be a few long days, she thought, while she had to pay attention to the repulsorlift cradle and to store it on the orbital ring station once the operation ends. Dunames knew better than anyone else that the cradle was not going to be usable in hyperspace: it was purpose-built on Sekalus to enable planetary landings and built at roughly 25 units, of which 21 are in use and 4 are there for spare parts. Perhaps the whole purpose of it all will become clear at a later point, maybe when the evacuation is completed.

His voice sounded sincere and it bought closure to a long over due chapter. Although she understood his passion, his determination for what he tried to do. "No need to apologize. Justice isn't perfect we both know that, but for that reason is why I understand why you pursued me for so long. You held tight to what you believe in. You made your mind up and took it till the end. You have made accomplishments based on those strengths. Look at me though? Jedi outcast, reject damn to most of the galaxy I'm a freak. The only good thing I can say I've done in my life that I'm proud of. I did get my wife safe from the clutches of the sith and married her."

The woman's hand would press and tap against the screen besides her seat. Systems looked good, then again everything had been well maintained even though it had been sat here for a long long time. "Since we are apologizing though I'm kinda sorry about the collar thing I admit I could have gone about that better. Was a spur of the moment and a bit of a surprise though. It's not the fact that it's a collar or the fact I can't use my powers with one on it's just I was one of the many that ended up in the other world. It stripped me of everything, made felt cold made me feel vunerable. So understand that anything that simulates that feeling I felt then its a bit of a phobia."

She'd look to Bryce "you should be able to access the systems as a pilot like jorus." Sanya said moving her eyes away from him to the window that over looked the ship that went on for a distance. The woman's hand would press another button that released the many clamps then a second that would power the ships engines. The sound resonated thought the vessel. "You have the honors jorus. Take her to the skies once more let's get back to the city." A tingle rushed through her body like the first time the ship ever took off. "We may actually pull this off." She said quietly to herself. "Maria patch me though to the navy." "Yes mam. Would you like the hologram?" "Yes Please."

The images of several people appeared in front of Sanya. Some saluting others a bow the only one who did not was Asuna. "What's the status of the evacuation?" She asked. "The city is almost evacuated. We are awaiting word on the search parties in the grass lands and the Ilet dues miner colony's are enroute to the station now. The inq ring won't be able to support everyone milady and many of the colony ships are already at capacity." "Right I need any spare military transports to start bringing people to the libita that goes for any extra crew. Old crew preferred if possible." "But what about the scanners?" "I will turn them off on areas deemed safe."

She watched through the holograms and out window as the ship began to rise. It was once more air borne. "We won't be able to land in the city with this not without dangering the remaining civilians. I trust in my navy though. They will finish the job."

"You know," said Jorus absently, steering the Libita up from the earth, "I can empathize. I was trapped in the Netherworld too, during the same Akala Crisis. I had the bad fortune of tumbling out of a rift on Alderaan. That was the rough one -- the rift where anyone who passed through went off the deep end until they'd killed the first thing or person they saw. Every time I think back I thank the Five I wasn't with my family then. Losing control of myself like that -- yeah, I can feel where you're coming from. There aren't many of us who went through the Netherworld who talk about it, even though it was, what, a quarter of the galaxy? It's like every ship, planet, system is just glossing it over, a galaxy-sized reek in the closet."

The atmosphere fell away as the ultrachrome cruiser slid into the void.

"Give me a heading, Captain Val Swift."

Bryce took up position on the other navigation station. He was no pilot, in fact he had never even learned to fly. Between Sady, Loto and all his other pilots he had work for him the air of controlling a ships movement was far beyond his comprehension. It was even funnier then you consider Bryce owned a fairly successful ship manufacturer and designed many of the vessels they sold.

"Well from the sounds of it I'm glad I missed that poodoo. Still fighting in the wilds of Tarus was no picnic either..."

Bryce though of Cague, a man who had been like a father to him. The last moments they had been together before he was over taken with the ratghoul plague and Bryce had... The was the moment he had become a pacifist. The day he sore off killing of any kind. Beliefs he still held to this very day.

"Queen Swift, if you don't mind me asking, where are we gonna take everyone to now?"

"Over luss jorus. The sekalien navy will bring civilians to us as we move" she said one by one shutting off biometric scanners on floors. There was only a few areas that would be blocked off. Like the command tower that also included the bridge. Labs would be restricted access to anyone who didn't have an existing job or qualification in the fields. Armorys had also been locked off to non military personal. There was a lot of floors and no short cut to doing this. The system was never designed to be shut off but it didn't mean it couldn't with the right access.

She looked towards Bryce as he began to speak. "You may." She said in the middle of his sentence. Although she didn't expect, no she wasn't prepared for that question. She let a quick heavy breath realizing her stupidity. "I've been so caught up thinking about the evacuation I haven't even thought about it." Her hand came up to her face breathing heavily once more into her palm before it slipped away. "I guess we will have to find somewhere new. A place where we'd not be imposing on another culture. Last thing I want for my people is to spark a war right now or ever for that matter."

The ship kept it's path as transports made quick drops. Slowly the libita was filling up and yet to hit the skies above the city. Her navy worked on efficiency all of them went through many different types of training. Penumbra a special task force helped build the training program. They had imperial and republic training. Sanya even threw in basic skills she learnt in her time as a Jedi. She'd looks to Bryce once more. "I think an inhabited world that can sustain life would be the place. Somewhere to start a new beginning. It could take months even years. I won't rest till I find it for them but they deserve that. A fresh start all around I guess."

The libita was soon above luss. She could only imagine the shadow it would cast. "More areas are been shut off of lights. Must mean progress or keeping the spaceports operational is consuming a lot of power." Her first statement was correct but she was taking a guess. Minutes passed by so fast, block by block lights went out. Her terminal began to blink at the top left. Her finger would tap the blinking icon for a hologram to appear. "Sanya." Asuna would say. "The city is about evacuated. Those who are searching the other areas have been told to meet up with either the libita or the station." "That's good news. How is the make shift hyperdrive coming along?" "It's ready. Although I don't know how you plan to move it." "The ships will. Every colony ship every military ship will dock. Together they should produce the thrust we need. Once the station is away from the planet other ships not connected will use their tractorbeams to angle and pull more." "But the risks are to high." "Life is built on risks. Besides it will work. I just know it." "I hope your right." "So do I asuna, so do I."

The hologram shut off. Even though communication had to be kept asuna had a lot of work to do. A lot to organise in such short time. The news that everyone was almost off world made Sanya feel more relaxed. Even though on the edge of her she knew they'd be going on a long voyage. "Are you both sticking around after this?" She asked wondering if they'd be aiding her to find the new world.

"Don't see as I've got much of a choice, now that I've committed to help your folks. Besides, finding habitable worlds is what I do - heck, the Wretched Hive's out looking right now with my kid at the controls. We'll find you somewhere suitable in pretty short order."

The cruiser drifted to a halt above the city of Luss. A constant patter of docking requests and acknowledgements began filtering through other bridge crewers. Jorus, for the moment, turned away from the helm and spun the chair to face Sanya.

"Habitable but uninhabited is kind of the mother lode, but my kid and I have built some tools to help find that kind of thing pretty quick. I'm guessing we'll find a place that's about eighty-five percent suitable: might have to deal with local pests, bad weather, more earthquakes than normal, thin air, resilient local ecosystem, meteor showers, radiation. But there's fixes for all of those. Doubt we'll find you a paradise but we'll sure as feth find you somewhere livable."

"We're going to need to lock on the tractor beam to the orbital ring station, boss: we have received word that the hyperdrive may not provide sufficient thrust for the orbital ring to be capable of propelling it into hyperspace on its own"

"Lock on the tractor beam: stow the repulsorlift cradle onboard the ship! We're not going down to the surface until we have resurfaced"

With that said, the repulsorlift cradle used to ferry the two batches of Croa has begun disassembly for the components to be stowed inside the hangars of the Famfrit, with three sections being stowed where the shuttlecraft would normally be. It was an exceptional circumstance and hence Dunames needed to prioritize that over shuttlecraft: even 12 Neimoidian Yachts would not be able to get the job done of evacuating millions of Croa with the mothership remaining in orbit. Now she fully understands the appeal of such massive ships capable of landing on planets: the very stuff Jessica worked so hard for years to get off the ground, to the point of even getting fired from her previous employer for it. That very Jessica she met for the first time on Bespin.

"Always around, question is how many of your citizen will be as well. I'm hoping for most of them personally."

From the navigational seat Bryce signaled his transports to doc up with the ring. The sooner they did the sooner the great lift could begin. Bryce took a second to reach out with his feelings and found a lot of fear, and concern, it seemed to be surrounding them.

"This is so unfething natural. I can feel the pain of your people Sanya but it is far greater then it should be. You think that dark nexus has anything to do with this? I feel something or someone is magnifying the situation. Almost feeding off it.

Her head fell backwards onto the headrest as her eyes closed. She felt lightheaded and a little dizzy there was also the feeling of cramps. Usual case when she'd not eaten in a while but Sanya didn't have any apitite for food. Still the woman listened to the two. There was no denial that the support was appreciated even if right now she wasn't showing it so much. "I'm sure my people will stay together mostly. There will be those who would like to go their separate ways to explore the ever expanding galaxy. I say those who do, should. Many beautiful things out there."

"But." She said letting of a small sigh. "I do know that finding the world may be difficult and with it's challenges ahead." The real question was, is she prepared to see much more loss? And it's answer was an obvious no. This whole situation had placed her on the brink of been broken. It would anyone who had compassionate. "If your staying around then I'll make sure to have some power tools set up in a hanger for you if you'd like. I'm sure there'd be some civilians who could use the distraction on the voyage. May help them learn something new too."

She began to listen to Bryce as he spoke about the sun going up and it had drawn her mind right back to the matters on hand. "I feel it too Bryce. It brakes my heart but this fear I'd say to what's happening is about right. There is alot of people all scared they might not make it. All of them hanging on what the government says to do. No one could ever prepare for this. Although I do agree I can also feel the nexus expanding clawing it's way further. I do believe it may know what is feeding it. Ever heard of the Charon. Their religion is basically a deathcult. They view everything living as an abomination. Even them selfs, but that's just a theory on to what you said."

She wasn't entirely sure what Bryce liked what his hobbies and interests were. In fact only jorus was the one she'd researched to track him down the first time they'd met. "Bryce? I'm not sure what your into but I'd be glad to sort something out. We don't know how long this journey will take. I will also sort some quarters out. Chances are you'd be having the captains quarters or a yt in the hanger. It's going to be cramped everywhere else."

the light would blink again on her terminal. Her finger would reach up to press it. It wasn't Asuna this time but a zabrak pilot. "Mam My transport is the last one. Scouts say there is no readings of life left in the city and all otherother areas have been cleaned. They are awaiting extraction and ordered us to withdraw." "Thank you for the update officer. Meet you in orbit. We will get a move on." Sanya stood up and walked along the commanders walk way till she reached the front with a hand rail. "Okay jorus. Engines and repulsors at full. Take us up."

[member="Sanya Val Swift"]

"Sanya I don't need much, I can hot cot it like the other folks. I'm not one for special treatment, especially when folks are displaced and upset like your people."

Bryce fiddled with some controls while the ship began preparations for lift off. What he really wanted to so what get over to the science station and continue to study that sun.

"Your Highness, not really good at this flying stuff. Does this boat have decent sensors? Now that the folks are clear planet side I want to get a good scan of that star."

Jim had just jumped out of hyperspace. He had been busy with a smuggling mission, when he had gotten several messages pleading him to provide aid to the planet of Sekalus, and when he looked out of his cockpit he could not believe his eyes. Sekalus was dying. Hundreds of ships were fleeing from the planet, so many that some of the bigger ships were running into each other. 2 such ships had just collided and if not for a timely barrel roll, he would've been bantha fodder. R2-3Z screamed as Jim was dodging and weaving spaceships leaving the planet.

"Calm down Easy, we're not in trouble yet." Jim had noticed and escape pod from one of the ships had survived. the droid whistled back sarcastically.

"Easy, scan that pod for lifeforms." the droid whistled back in compliance and after a few moments it whistled again,

"5 lifeforms? and how much space do we have?" The droid whistled sadly,

"that's not enough room, either we dump our current cargo, which is hundreds of thousands of credits or we let them die..." Jim said thinking hard about his dilemma, not only that but his cargo could hit oncoming ships killing more than he would save.

Jim had to help these people though. It was the right thing to do. Jim brought the ship close to the escape pod, dumped all of his cargo and pulled in the escape pod through the hangar, the people got out of the pod and were extremely thankful to Jim. Unfortunately Jim had to finish his job here, 5 people saved was not enough. Jim got over to his coms and broadcasted over a wide number of channels.

"This is Jim Pehico, does anybody require assistance?" he said hoping to attract somebody's attention.

Jorus eased the Sekallian flagship out of orbit. "We've got a science boat taking a look at the star right now - its sensors are better for that. As for accommodations, yeah, a blanket's all I need, or just an escape pod with the gravity turned off." He frowned. "Hold on."

Pehico's transmission filtered through a nearby comm panel. With a glance at Sanya, Jorus toggled the reply.

"Pehico, this is General Merrill. Looks like you're taking on escape pods. I'll send half a squadron of Coalition interceptors to escort you, if you want to keep picking up folks from pods. There's been a few older ships that broke down once they hit orbit; if you can get their folks safe, I'd be obliged."

Sanya watched out the window as the libita pushed through the clouds along with the remaining ships leaving the worlds surface. She looked over her shoulder at Bryce and nodded. "Yes they are military grade sensors. Should do what you need them to do if they need a tweak I'm sure I can work it out. Also it's no special treatment. I'll personally be sleeping in this chair. I don't have anyone else who can take me off to keep the ship going. Well that's even if I can get any sleep." Sanya said to the man. The cat girl began to move back to her chair looking at Maria. "Hail all ships for me." Her feet would clack against the metal floor with each step. With very few people up here it was quiet.

"Attention all vessels. This is Queen Sanya Val Swift. What I'm about to suggest seems risky I know but it will take extreme coordination and team work. Every ship will be sent a docking port number. Please dock to it and await further instructions." Once her message had been sent another came in over open com's. From the sounds a collision had happened furthering Sanya's anxiety about the whole situation. How many people had died? How many more would die? Although it seemed jorus was on top of it obviously recognizing the voice.

It took up to almost an hour for all the vessels to have docked onto the station. Now it was time to commence. The open com's between all local ships opened up again. "Thank you all for following those instructions. As many of you are aware you have been locked out of your ship systems. Do not worry. This is apart of the plan. Right now every ship will be used as a thruster to move the inquisitions space ring. Once away from the world we will all hyperjump together to saftey." As she said it, it had began to happen. Slowly the entire ring began to shift away from the orbit of the planet. The fact the colossal thing was able to be move was well it left Sanya speechless. Sure massive machines bigger have traveled the galaxy before but they we're designed to. This space station wasn't. Luckily there was no exterior force in space.

The ammont of ships been used would be needed later on but this many was needed to escape the worlds gravity. Once the ring cleared the planet the libita moved into position at the centre. With no one on weapons or other systems Sanya had control. Locking the tractor beams in key locations thrusters would begin at full.

At that moment everything had become black. The world barely visible other than a silhouette. "Okay it's now or never." The com's would open up one last time but directly to the station. "DO IT NOW JUMP!" She spoke loudly. Her hands pushed for the hyperdrive to start it up for the jump. There was a pull from behind as the gravity of the system pulled into one spot. Through the windows a blinding light creaped in. The station jumped out the system first while Sanya's finger hovered over the button on the small terminal besides her.
GDTosTJ.png

"You have five seconds to get those readings." She said as the gravity began to push. The windows had tinted enough for them to watch the sun go sending out a shock wave of energy. It rushed towards them with incredible speed. The moment she saw it hit sekalus her finger pressed the button to jump to soon meet up with the rest of her people.

It took very precise timing for the Famfrit to get off-system before the star went supernova, and then she's stuck with those millions of Croa for a while, not knowing whether the new home will be found in time. Ouch. Even though she'd rather not gouge the Croa onboard, she realizes that some of those Croa will have spent quite a bit of money onboard while they are being relocated. But then again the expenses have exploded. And, compounding the expenses of rebuilding the spaceports in the Primeval region, alongside the evacuation of the Croa, for the first time in years have Star Tours been unable to keep its per-share profit from increasing from a quarter to another. Worse still, its dividend has dwindled to a much lower amount. Perhaps the sheer cost of the Primeval project is wearing us down, and, unlike the Primeval, today's Primeval is keeping much more to itself and doesn't attempt to destroy spaceports all over the place, she thought.

"Boss, the bills for those consumables from Exocron have arrived"

"This expedition is making our finances go to feth!" Dunames gasped, upon seeing the rundown of the bills.

Three months later:

The Libita would never be Jorus' kind of ship, but after three months at her helm, on and off, he'd grown to appreciate her. Her ultrachrome hull could conduct and radiate energy, letting her pass closer to a star than other ships might. Her systems weren't the ones he'd have picked, but they had a kind of harmony.

The Wretched Hive had come and gone from the Sekallian cruiser on half a dozen prospecting trips since the fleet dragged the ring into space. The massive transports were reporting low supplies - they'd never been meant to carry this many people for this length of time.

Fortunately, a new planet had been found some time before, and the planetary ring's long, slow journey was drawing to a close.

Sadly the convoy had not gone unnoticed. More and more of the coalitions assets had been needed to keep the massive fleet safe, and that was a relative term. They had already lost over twelve ships to pirate and slaver raids. Countless thousands that had been in the wrong ship at the wrong time. The mighty 'Verdict' - Darr Itah-class Battlecruiser had even been brought in. Famed flagship of the judges and the coalition it now served along with the Libita as the command ships of the fleet. The Croa ship leading the way while the Judges guarded the flank. In between the Sekalus docking ring and its' many inhabitants glided slowly through hyperspace toward a new home.

Aboard the Libita things had become grim. A gathering of leaders was under way. This new world only had one true hyperspace entrance. An area of space called the hour glass. Locked between two massive black holes this small area of space could only be traversed in sub-light. A one week journey that would leave them vulnerable to attack.

Reports of a massive pirate fleet were already coming in. Worse yet was they had detected two large gravity well producing ships within the fleet, they were older imperial models but even at their advanced age they would be able to hold the entire fleet from escaping. Something needed to be done. Supplies were running low and the finite amount of food the coalition could provide would soon not be enough.

They needed to get these people home, and it would have to be the hard way...

Husks of metal tumbled aimlessly through space, adding to the limitless collection of debris that wandered the black emptiness alone. Chunks of the pirate's frigate split off in different directions as Leo gave a victorious holler from the cockpit of the Kathol's Dishonour as it glided past the civilian transport he protected. The pirates and raiders were persistent, he could give em' that. But their persistence hadn't gotten them past Leo's ship.

His scanner pinged more ships closing in on his location. Opening up his ship's comms to the Libita, Leo blurted to his superiors, "Uh, Bantam, Merrill, I know this is a dangerous process, getting these ships past those black holes and all. But I could really do without the constant pirate threat. Could we get some ORC ships on my location, pretty please? Hells, even Jim will do." Pretty please with those lovely Corellian sprinkles on top indeed.

The woman hardly left her seat up in the ship command center. The only times she left was the odd occasion where she had to attend meetings more privately not the ship was almost fully crewed. A lot of the civilians pitched in learning areas and picking up their weight. It was the same in all the ships and the mobile station. The journey so far hasn't been an easy one. They have suffered raid after raid, but with everyone banding together they held their own. Supplies was running low not just food and water, but fuel and munitions too.

Her eyes snapped open befor the com came through. Sanya had learnt some names over the past few months. Mainly those who risked their lives day in and day out. She wanted to remember their names so they could be recorded in the books for future generations of children to learn about. That and she wanted to know who they where in case the worst happened. At least she could go each day saying she remembers them.

Everyone listened to the communication from Leo. Sanya held her hand up as if to say I got this. "Leo this is Sanya. I can dispatch a couple of frigates and a dozen of fighters. Will that be enough?" She asked as she used hand gestures to Bryce to scan the area. She wanted to know what they where up against. The last world in this area that showed potential was just beyond this choak point. Just another obstical. Just another test to push her people and the people of the coalitions limits.

"Bryce wanna scan the area see what we are up against. Jorus I'm going to take control of steering of the ship gonna give you access to the weapons onboard. Just keep in mind we are limited. You can possibly pull of one shot from the spinal mounted duel l.r mass driver cannon. Just make sure to call it so sheilds and engine power can be diverted." She said giving the man permissions on the terminal.

"Bryce just mark target's and the automated weapons will take aim. Sound good?" There was no plan just improvising. Plans only worked so far against an enemy that would fight dirty. The woman's tail would flick about behind her and her ears twitching. "Royal guard to your battle stations. Take the remaining b-wings and cover Leo out there." This was over a privet com giving them a head start before the rush and panic on the ship.

"Officer issue red alert. Ship com's open please." The room went dark with red lights along edges of the pits and room. Small white lights would illuminate the walkways and the walls. Almost the whole ship would be the same. Sanya waited a moment till she was given the signal that they where up. "All civilians please take your way to the safe areas. This is not a drill. All civilians to the safe areas. Any who have been trained to your stations. Battle imminent." There was certainty there would be panic amongst them but under this situation had been practiced in drills fortnightly as preparation for this kind of thing.
