Shimmy shimmy cocoa pop!

Kaile gave a laugh, only to have it wane with a grimace. Holding the blonde’s shirt against her head in a balled up makeshift bandage certainly made quite the site.

“It’s fine… reckon would have gotten creative.” she admitted. After a second she shifted, slinging off the backpack that contained Bobo’s protective case and the rest of her possessions.

“The Jedi have a medbay… I’ll be okay.” a wiggle of her nose and another roll of her shoulders. There was a weight to her, a heaviness that came with the adrenaline coming down and her body catching up to her aches and pains. Kurt was likely going to yell at her.

“...I’ma need a sonic.” she chuckled out. “Sorry about your shirt,” she apologized, brown eyes panning over to the blue of Jamie’s own. A sheepish half smile crept over her lips, droplets of blood slightly smeared over her right cheek. Goodness she was a sight! That she was still smiling was a silly thing indeed. Yet that was Kaile. Positive outlook regardless of the situation. She’d never been in any sort of real emotional turmoil to change that.

Oh but it was coming…

“Well…” she sighed out, looking out at the second generator, hearing the slight hum. “You’re gonna need some fixin’ on your ol’ girl.” Kaile told Jamie, giving the durasteel floor a light affectionate caress.

Throughout the whole ordeal Jamie hadn't even remembered Bobo! "Oh gosh! Is he okay!? I forgot all about that poor little guy. He must have had quite the bumpy ride!" Helping Kaile she sat the pack up between the two to make sure the case containing the creature didn't get further disturbed. "Don't worry about the shirt, it's fine, I have others." Worrying about a ruined shirt seemed hardly important given everything they'd just endured, and the injury. "Let's just make sure that doesn't happen again, yeah?" One hand rubbed the opposite arm as Jamie continued to monitor Kaile's head and condition. "I'm sorry...I should have given you more time before I jumped us. It's my fault you got hurt."

The skiff wasn't even hers, it belonged to Keira and the facility on Cartao, and thereby the Republic. Jamie was sure they could afford to repair whatever was damaged, even if she received a stern talking to, a wag of the finger, and a 'Don't do that again.' But after all was said and done, it was hardly worth the trouble of consideration for breaking some stuff.

"I'm sure the ship will be fine, as long as it makes it back home anyway."

"I can look after it a bit while you go gallivanting with the Jedi." Kaile offered, puling back the shirt to glance at the bright red mark that had saturated it already. She could feel the clotting already, how it stuck to her hair in thick globs. A grimace of distaste fared, her nose crinkling. It smelled like hydraulic fluid and blood in here. Not the best smelling. Gonna have to clean it up later. That was the waitress in Kaile, had to always clean up after herself, even if she was the one grimy from head to toe.

"You should take a few days." she admitted, well aware that the temple and the rest of the area was pretty expansive. If Jamie really wanted to get to know more about the Jedi - well this flavor of 'em - it would be good for her.

Plus there were some really cute guys last time she was there...

Whoa! Reign it in girl! You still got a lump the size of a small peach on your noggin. That made her laugh. It may have made her seem a bit more loopy ,but at least Kaile still had her sense of humor. "He'll be fine." she replied a bit later, patting the bag. A thought came to her, and placing the bloody shirt on her lap, she used her hands to go in search of the little bugger.

Bobo was not amused. Upon Kaile opening his tube, he shot out, scurrying across the bag and climbing his way up her shirt.

The younger blonde made her best concentrated effort to resist the feeling of nausea induced by the presence of Kaile's friend. She'd almost forgotten about it until she returned to such close proximity to him. A moment of dizziness passed, leaving her simply feeling uncomfortably empty and strange. Closing her blue eyes Jamie drew in a few soft, deep breaths to center herself before returning to the conversation at hand.

"No, no, no." Blonde hair bounced side to side with each shake of her head. "We're getting you better first, then we'll both do the Jedi stuff. I'm not leaving you behind, especially not to fix the ship all alone while I wander around. No, definitely not." Besides, Jamie wouldn't know a single person, Jedi or otherwise on Sullust. Kaile was her only connection to these people and without her she would feel like an outcast.

"Sorry for the bumpy ride Bobo! It's all my fault. I'm not the best at flying you see." Jamie ran two fingers from head to tail on the creature, then turned her focus again back to Kaile. "Do you want to sit in a chair where it's more comfortable? I can help you up and down the corridor so you can rest somewhere a bit less cold and miserable until we land."

Seeing Jamie's genuine concern really touched Kaile. Thoughts ran through her mind.

Jamie, you are so nice.

A nod of her head.

Yup, I like you.

Another nod and a grimace. What Kaile didn't realize is that she had spoken so aloud. Blame the knock on her noggin and the slight bit of a concussion. It was okay though. Not like it was anything to be ashamed of, although, realizing it might prompt a sheepish grin. Bobo on the other hand, would calm a bit at the stroking of the younger blonde's finger. He certainly appreciated it, expressing it so with a rub of his fuzzy scaled jaw on the tip of her finger.

"Umm..." blinking a bit, Kaile pondered on Jamie's question. A glance around took in the blood splattered shirt and the fact that they were both just sitting on the floor. Not the best place to socialize, even if the Lorrdian was perfectly happy regardless.

"Reckon I should get up, huh?" she added a second later. Plopping the ball of fabric back on the back of her head, Kaile sort of mulled the logistic of it all. A slight brush against Bobo's spine and she nodded.

"OKAY!... lemme get my bag..."

"Oh, well thank you!" She said, somewhat confused, though under the assumption that perhaps Kaile was a bit out of herself due to the knock on the head she'd taken. "I...Like you too!"

Jamie wasn't about to let Kaile carry anything, even if it were a light backpack out of fear it might unbalance her already dizzy looking appearance. "No, let me take it, and help you up." The blonde scooped up the pack and slid one of her arms through the straps before pushing herself up against the hull to a standing position. One hand was dropped low and offered to Kaile to help her up. There was always the possibility that standing too quickly could disorient, especially after a head injury. Jamie was going to take absolutely no chances of letting the girl take another tumble.

"Come on" She said smiling, "Let's find you someplace more comfortable to sit."

They'd have to be careful going up the few steps out of the hatchway and down the hall to the common room, but save for a few steps it would be mostly a straight walk. Hopefully Kaile wasn't too exhausted from everything. Jamie wasn't exactly the muscular type that could carry a person on her back or in her arms.

Vertigo swooned over Kaile as she slowly stood. Jamie's hand carefully braced Kaile by the elbow, allowing the Lorrdian to use the younger blonde as leverage.

"A pillow would be nice then." Kaile said, the duo walking slowly with a half sway, her hand still holding the balled up shirt by her head. The espion wasn't too tired; she'd just gotten a good rap on the head and saw stars for a bit. She still kept the half silly grin, scrunching up her face with a wiggle of her nose.

"Y'know... you are doin okay." she said abruptly, moving on past the threshold onto the common room. "With the nausea... " a finger would gesture towards the tiny lizard that now sat perched upon her shoulder. He scurried back and forth, anxious and alarmed. There was a faint rubbing of his head against her neck, and Kaile gave him a little nuzzle.

"It gets easier..."

The walk lead them by the accelerator couch, the scattered pillows they had used still on the floor.

"I'm wondering if that is simply due to adrenaline." With all the excitement up until now Jamie had really no time to focus or concentrate much on anything aside from getting them out of harm's way and helping Kaile get to her feet and dealing with the rather persistent bleeding atop her head. Her focus had been so far dedicated to Kaile that the revelation that Bobo was even still around was lost on her until moments ago. That feeling was creeping its' way back in now that things had settled down, but it was so far not nearly as vomit inducing as it was the first time.

"Here, have a seat." She said politely, helping the girl slowly sit herself down on the plush fabric of the couch. Rounding the back she picked up the two small square pillows and offered them to the other girl.

"How are you feeling? Are you dizzy? Tired? Are you hurt anywhere else?"

Kaile sank into the couch with a slight plop, Bobo clinging to the side of her neck in an effort to not go flying. A sigh escaped her mouth and a half silly grin shot up at Jamie.

“Feel like someone was banging on the engine after I poked my head in it, to be truthsome.” that dull ache and pound was still there. A rather delicate investigation of the affected area ensued with a light proding of her fingers.

“Other than my pride, reckon I’d do right.” she chuckled, only to wince a second later. Okay, laughing too much was not a good idea! The headache only made it worse.

“You don’t happen to have some pain pills do you?” she asked the younger woman, setting down the bloody shirt upon her lap while she continued her investigation with her hands. There was dried blood smeared and scattered on one side of her face. Her shirt already had darkened the few drops and trickles that had landed there.

“Maybe a wash cloth?”

The blonde finally cracked a genuine smile hearing Kaile laugh at the situation. She had taken a seat on the floor facing Kaile, legs crossed over one another to give Kaile some space to stretch out and get comfortable as she wished. "Pain pills?" Jamie's index finger tapped against her chin, her nose squishing to the right as she pondered for a moment. "I imagine we do. I can check the washroom." Pushing herself to her feet she patted Kaile on the leg and held up her finger. "Sec. I'll be back real quick!"

Without another word the blonde scurried off and out of the common area towards the washroom. If there were pain pills to be found, that would be the likely place for them she thought. Back down the corridor and around a bend or two she came to the hatchway and tapped her middle and ring finger against the button, thus releasing the door and allowing her to enter. Near the sink was a small cabinet and a set of drawers, with a mirror above.

Pulling open the cabinet the girl fumbled around looking at various bottles for numerous types of ailments. Finding nothing she moved on to the drawers. To her surprise she found a set of bandages and a bit of disinfectant. "Oh! This would be good!" She quickly grabbed the items of various sizes and tucked them into the back pocket of her pants. "Hmmm...Pain killers...Where are you?!" Jamie considered for a minute where else they could be before realizing she'd seen them tucked under a console in the cockpit. Sprinting back down the hall she sped through the common room waiving at Kaile as she did so. "I know where they are now! Be right back!" She shouted as she scaled the ladder up into the cockpit. "Ah ha!" She said, snatching up the bottle and examining it to be sure they were in fact what she believed. "Gotcha!"

Heading back down and into the living area she pulled the bandages, disinfectant, and pills from her pockets like she'd discovered treasure.

"I found them, and more!"

A cheeky grin met the bubbly blonde when she returned with her prizes.

“Reckon you got yourself a veritable treasure trove right there.” she coo’d, crinkling her nose in pleasure despite the pounding in her head. Setting the bloody shirt on her lap, Kaile made room for the younger woman to sit next to her. She could swallow the pills whole just fine, no need for water.

“That will do it.” she said, grateful as the pain killers would be first. Likely it would last for a while, but for now, just didn’t want the pain behind her eyes to get worse. There was also the risk of a concussion too. Just had to stay awake.

“Oh that works… golly you got all kinds of goodies.” disinfectants, and bandages. The more Jamie kept pulling them out of her pockets, the more Kaile was inclined to believe her pants were some sort of maurader’s bag of sorts. Bottomless!

She couldn’t help the giggle, as there were several little lumps where Jamie had tucked in items along her hips and pockets.

“You remind me a bit of the circus folks at Bahrain.” she told her, giving a small grimace as her fingers gently began to try and remove as much of the thick goop in her hair. Enter a small wince.

“They kept on pulling all kinds of things from their hats.” as she worked, she passed a glance over at Jamie.

Wait, she didn’t look too great herself. A little paler. Little did Kaile know that Jamie wasn’t too keen on wounds.

“You okay?”

"Maybe I got a bit much for what the situation called for." She said with a bit of a laugh, pulling one final bandage from the back of her pants. "Just wasn't sure which of what would be best, so I thought I'd bring everything!" Another laugh, setting down everything just in front of Kaile. The blonde began to arrange everything in an orderly fashion on the floor in front of Kaile, separating the bandages by size, the disinfectant and tape, the gauze, and scissors. Once she'd finished making sure everything was there the girl looked back up to Kaile. "I miss the circus. We used to have some that would travel and visit Naboo, they were always so much fun!"

A few deep breaths later and the best show she could put on to avoid the actual inspection of Kaile's injury in full she finally ran out of time. Looking up at it she made a face that was all telling, and Kaile seemed to pick up on it as her face flushed paler than her ghastly skin-tone she was birthed with. "I...I'm okay. Your head just..." She started, before looking down to grab one of the larger gauze pads and scissors, to size up the full size of the injury. "We need to get you fixed up, and then to a doctor to properly help you, that's all."

Jamie swallowed the knot in her throat and went about the task, doing her best to maintain steady breaths while resisting the urge to vomit while she worked.

Okay, Jamie either did not have a stomach for blood or just cuts in general.

Considering the likelyhood was the later instead of the former, Kaile decided to try and distract the younger woman. Now only if her head didn’t feel all fuzzy, she’d be apt to make a joke.

“I like the circus too.” she told her, elaborating further. “When I was younger, I thought it be rather fun to be one of them ribbon air dancers. Y’know, the ones that wrap themselves up in cloth and do all kinds of things way up high?

A rather dangerous thing and certainly required to be in tip top shape. There was strength required there. And while Kaile considered herself rather toned, she wouldn’t lie and say she was at tip top shape. Pretty average for her height, there was a little bit of extra cushion here and there. Most notably her hips. Something about apple bottom jeans.

“You ever want to be anythin’ when you were younger?” obviously the curiousity of being a Jedi was there, but was there ever something else. The faint, gingerly touch of Jamie’s hands could be felt as she ever so cautiously approached the thick mat of clotted blood. Some wiping away of the excess would help out. Maybe washing it would help? Or the sonic? Or would that make it bleed again?

Playing part of the medic was rather hard when one was doing it straight out in the field.

"I wanted to be queen." She said, laughing. "I wanted to rule Naboo." That was generally what most every young girl on Naboo wanted at some point in their youth. Even now she thought of it from time to time, living in the palace, making decisions for her people's well being, protecting the planet and helping to expand their reach and economy to the rest of the galaxy. It was an exciting idea, though the actual likelihood of that ever becoming a reality was miniscule, even with her family's status and wealth. "Then I wanted to be the best sword fighter in the galaxy. I honestly think that might be more attainable than my initial dream, as crazy as that sounds."

Jamie spread the girl's hair apart, measuring the area she'd need to cover. "Now though? I have no idea what I want to do." Jamie gently wiped away the still moist blood from the wound, exposing the cut itself and inspecting it to ensure nothing metal found its' way beneath the skin. The blonde then proceeded to cover a patch of gauze with disinfectant. "This might sting, alot." Pressing it gently against Kaile's head to ensure it covered the whole cut Jamie held it firmly. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry." She said a few times repeatedly. Another piece was added and then the bandage was placed atop to cover it, securing it with a bit of medical tape before she allowed the girl's hair to fall back over the area. "Good as....temporary I guess."

Kaile sat as still as she could - a feat in of itself - and would listen with rapt attention to Jamie’s tale. The Lorrdian was always so interested in learning more about people. Where they’ve been, where they are headed. Hopes, dreams, and tales of future goals. Even their woes. Everyone had a tale to tell. Maybe that’s why Kaile enjoyed her embedded assignments more so than simply because she was good at it.

Kaile liked being surrounded by people and their stories.

“Well... reckon all little girls want to be a princess or a queen at sometime or another.” Kaile mused. The fanciful idea was just that, fanciful, but one didn’t tell that to a little girls imagination.

The forewarning did not halt the slight grimace, but an encouraging half smil would relay to the younger blonde she was okay, along with a small fanning gesture from her hand.

“It’s fine.. It’s fine… just stung a lil that’s all.” granted, there was the barest hint of shimmer in her eyes. The Force along with having Bobo along allowed her to deaden her nerves when it came to pain, either through the Force or by force of habit. Her prisoner of war training while with the Pyre was also handy, although she really hoped she’d never have to actually put it to use.

“Thank you kindly,” Kaile said with a grateful smile. “Reckon I owe you one.” she added with a twist of her lips and then a sigh.

“Dinner at Yum Bunnies!” The slightly tacky but delightful restaurant chain was known throughout the ‘verse on every Arceneau Trade station. Sullust had one in fact.

“Their wings are amazin’.”

"It's funny, when you think of little girls imagining themselves as queen you typically think of them as spoiled kids, sitting on a throne, being served by those around them and deciding what fun things to do with their day." She cocked her head to the side, blonde locks dangling just over one eye. "But my parents had been grooming me as a proper lady since I was old enough to learn to talk. I understood the importance of the queen, her position, and that it wasn't just a party." She gave a quick nod before continuing. "I wanted to help the people, to do what was right for our world and to make sure that life on Naboo was as perfect for the highest of nobles as it was for the poorest of us." A naive goal perhaps, but even the purest of hearts had to believe the impossible to achieve the unbelievable. "I don't think I have a chance at it, obviously, but I would give up a lot of freedoms I have now to serve my home."

With Kaile at least temporarily patched up Jamie gave her work a once over before collecting the trash and discarding it. "You don't owe me anything at all. Don't mention it." Returning she dropped her bottom down into the cushion of the couch and gave a delighted grin. "But food when we get there sounds good. My appetite has returned post-life-threatening-encounter."

Another cheesy grin.

"What's your favorite?" she would ask. Her head still hurt. It would give a slow throb that would pulse along her cranium. The pain pills were working, and if Bobo hadn't been near her, she'd be able to use cruticorn. But Kaile was rarely the sort to consider using the Force first to help with her needs. Not when she could have the comfort of Bobo and a little bit of conversation to at least keep her awake.

The critter in question skittered from one shoulder to the next. His tiny little claws digging into Kaile's skin. His scales as he brushed against her seemed to be even more fuzzy and soft. Such a curious contrast. A finger rose, sliding across the lizards back as he cuddled on down to perch by the crook of her elbow.

"Food that is." a blink, then a sudden though. "Allergic to anything?"

"Favorite food?" That was the million credit question. Jamie loved food. It was something of a miracle in and of itself that she somehow didn't weigh more than a bantha. To her credit she did quite a bit of physical activities to keep herself well enough in shape, even if she was hardly what one would consider a professional athlete. "Honey melons are my favorite. There used to be a man who would come to Theed every three or so months with a harvest of melons. I would always buy four or five of them before he shipped off again. My mouth waters thinking about how sweet and juicy they are."

She wondered for the longest time why the man never simply grew a melon farm on Naboo, he always spent quite a bit of time on the planet before heading off. It seemed like a silly choice to leave and come back, always selling the same fruit, if he was making such a good living on one planet. Perhaps it was simply a way to keep demand high.

"But no," She started, lifting a finger. "No allergies. At least, none that I am aware of. Then again, the lack of travel I suppose plays into that."

Honey melons?

Okay, Kaile could relate to that. Fresh fruit was rather expensive for a spacer. So the few times Kurt and she could nab some, Kaile took advantage. As the main cook for the duo, Kaile enjoyed making sure that they had plenty of meals and a good mix of dry and preserved meals along with what she could make fresh. It was a good thing that with Kurt’s job, that meant that the courier had plenty of stopping points along the way to keep the fridge stocked.

Food was one of the things Kaile would allow herself a bit of leeway when it came to making sure they were within their budget. Since the Lorrdian didn’t have to pay rent, she wanted to ensure that at the very least Kurt didn’t have to worry about food. Not to mention, they always had fun working together as they set up. It was one of the treasured times Kaile held dear.

“I love strawberries.” Kaile admitted, her single indulgence that was ever so rare. Kurt had surprised her at one time though, with a small little box full of the fresh, plump, fruit. They had been sooo divine!

“Too bad they are so expensive though,” she sighed a bit woefully. Bobo shifted, then nuzzled a bit closer. Kaile’s finger in turn would now stroke along the side of his scruffy jaw.

“Don’t be afraid to try anything new!” Kaile advised, a half grin later. “Never know what you just might like.” the dull ache along her head continued to wane. Yeah, the painkillers were helping. Maybe she would be good enough to go under a sonic in a bit? She doubted that the Jedi would be too keen on seeing her with a bloody shirt, and she really didn’t want to make anyone fret so.

“What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever ate?” Kaile asked her, curious. She’ll sit here for a few more before asking Jamie where the refresher was at.

Jamie considered what Kaile had said for a few moments. Throughout the girl's entire life she had never heard the phrases too expensive, or can't afford. Both of her parents had come from wealthy families, which, when they married, secured that combined wealth much in Jamie's own favor, being the only child. Anything she could have ever really needed or wanted was realistically within reach. Hearing Kaile say that something like fruit was too expensive seemed almost foreign to her, though she wasn't so naive to believe that certain commodities in the galaxy were more plentiful in some areas, whereas in others they were almost unheard of.

"Strawberries are delicious as well. My parents used to combine a plethora of fruits into a sort of salad for big banquets."

The weirdest thing I've eaten? Jamie knew exactly what to say, "Everything my aunt Pauline used to make. She was an oddball. Half the time I never knew what it was I was eating, and I was too afraid to ask. I was always taught to eat what you're given though, so out of politeness I never questioned it, or declined. Sometimes that was harder than expected."
