Ayden smiled and feigned disappointment. In truth, he had already secured a much better offer with Miss Arceneau. In the end, he really lost nothing as he contributed to the massive hike in bid pricing, which was directly beneficial to the charity and A.C.T's reputation, and he even looked better for not winning amongst the outrageous bidding war that had erupted. So it was really a win-win situation for him. Oh well, back to amusing himself.

She just didn't know how long, not that she couldn't up her bid, there was just no point right now as she'd just be making herself pay more like the other two were. Catching Ayden's smile, she acknowledged him with a nod before returning her attention to the auction. He'd proven that he was willing to throw his money around when it suited him. Unless he decided that the bracers weren't worth it, he would be a definite winner tonight.

When she heard the bid of three Terentatek hides however her eyes bulged for a second. Three? Where did a person even get so many? Terentateks were difficult enough to find as is, but three? She couldn't imagine the leg work of having to find and then subsequently kill three of the beasts. Thus why she was so interested in paying for someone else to do it for her. She decided she would need to enhance her bid.
