If the bid went past 50,000 Shorn would probably just go straight to the AEL store directly and buy his own pair. Why waste money at an auction when they were on the open market?
The bids for the custom leatherwork have reached a point where, if it's amenable to you, I'd be more comfortable making the final decision personally. If it's no trouble, could you list high-end complex bids for that item without stating which one is in the lead?
One custom leather item, of any scale up to full-body clothing or armor, made from the hide of a Leviathan of Corbos, a terentatek, or a fully lightsabre-resistant creature
Right, well it seemed that the Lord Protector wasn't trying to lock her out of the running which was something, but there was a new runner and she didn't like that. If she lost here there was no guarantee that the leatherworks would have another pair or even that they would be cheaper. Why hold back when you could get the better price here? Begging at the booth was a last resort if she failed here. Might be time to hedge her bets some. Her eyes wandered over to @Ayden Cater . <From the way you're bidding I'd wager you're just as interested in preventing our friend over there from winning as you are in the bracers. If you win on a double bid like the last you placed would you care to split it?> It was a quick mental message, nothing more and quite obvious in the sender.
Actually, Na'varro had been in it from the beginning, but Shorn didn't know that Domino didn't know that. He yawned and waited for Ayden and the Black Suns leader to keep bidding. He'd probably end up dueling one or both of them at the end of this. Because it would be fun. Also because they pissed him off.
"Ninety five thousand for the gem...." an eerily reverberating female voice spoke out. She was not a creature of materialism in her new form. She only sought the satisfaction of emerging victorious, avoiding the inevitable scaling of the bid anyway and having yet another rare gem to add to her little collection intended for a very special wedding band.
Ashe simply fixed her eyes on the source of the voice when she heard the word 'gem.' This would not do at all. It so happened upon her that her savings held little value aside from material to her as well, while the sentiment behind the purchase and use of the gem literally meant the same as her very reason for continuing on after death. "One hundred and fifty."
