Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi

I'm more interested in the set ABOVE the burnt tree of Jedi stuff.
Seems more established and core world then anything we have seen in the newer stuff yet.

In the wake of Carrie Fisher sadly passing away, fellow 'Episode VIII' actor Oscar Isaac has shared a candid BTS snap and message:

She had no patience for pretense or small talk. She saw through things, at a different angle, with the gritty wisdom that comes from the hardest lessons. And, man, did she make me laugh. Will miss you dearly, Carrie.

I will say that a friend of mine had the right ideas about what we could hopefully see:

Rey training with an old and disgruntled Luke Skywalker, she needing to be the key to bringing him back into the light.

Finn working with the Resistance OR possibly just trying to make it on his own while still winding up in the conflicts; basically realizing he can't run forever.

Kylo Ren's training as a Sith mirroring Rey's while also answering some questions about him and Snoke

Captain Phasma should come back and basically be the Boba Fett to Finn's Han, wanting personal revenge against him for humiliating her as he did.

And of course any other sort of info or lore explanation that'll show where the next installment would be going

Hopefully they answer the real question

What happened to 3PO's arm? While it likely fell victim to Star Wars obsession with cutting off arms (which is on par with Disney's obsession in general with dead mothers)

Also well hoping for some cool Luke moments that might mirror a mixture of Yoda and Obi-Wan when they were training him. He is like that to Rey minus forcing her to carry him on her back.... although deleted bloopers of this scene could be hilarious.

Director Rian Johnson teases a few bits about 'Episode VIII'...

“I want it to be a blast and to be funny and to be a ride the way ‘The Force Awakens’ and the original ‘Star Wars’ movies were,” he said.

Johnson also shared more about the journey that Rey (Daisy Ridley) will take as she begins her training under Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill). He said that Luke will be the “emotional entry point” into the film and that he will explore what empowers the newcomers from “The Force Awakens” and what makes them weak.

“I wanted to know more about each of them, and that doesn’t just mean information or backstory,” Johnson said. “Figure out what’s the most difficult thing each of them could be challenged with now — let’s throw that at them and dig into what really makes them tick by seeing how they handle that.”

[member="Darth Carnifex"] It can mean so much...but let's watch the 'Luke Skywalker dies' speculations come flooding in.

Love the read SW title too. VERY omnious indeed. Death? Dark Side? Mixing it up a little in the Photoshop department? Who knows.
