Reason for Modification: Solan has redone the ties of the Item to work for his successor much in the same way that it used to work for him. Passing on the item for story purposes.

Affiliation needs altered to simply say "Charr" As it is the name of the new character.

Under Specifications, this needs added in.

"On the deathbed of Solan Charr, the Gem was restructured in his final moments, retaining his spirit and transferring its command to his successor, giving her, and only her, its benefits. The Gem would continue to operate as normal from this point on, but would no longer answer to Solan and only to the new owner, who goes by the name of Charr."

  • The barbs and edges of the spike can hold their sharpness for long periods of time thanks to the mullinine lining.

  • The crystadurium-reinforced tip of the spike can withstand extremely high pressures.

  • The grip is shaped to fit comfortably into the hand of human and near-human species (though custom grips can be made upon request). Unless damaged beyond repair or destroyed, the grip can be reused; one merely needs to replace the spike of the weapon, and the CQSC is ready once again.
Strengths:

  • Overly attached bombfriend: Once the charge is in place, it’s extremely difficult to remove.

  • Sneaky: In the thick of battle, one would be hard-pressed to distinguish the CQSC from a bladed weapon of some sort.
Weaknesses:

  • Seriously overly attached: You miss, you can go again. But stab anything other than the intended target, and the charge will be wasted.

  • Go hard or go home: In order to prime it properly, the CQSC has to be stabbed into the target with significant force.

DESCRIPTION

The Close-quarters shaped charge was designed with the practical melee fighter in mind. In modern warfare, close-quarters engagements are a widespread occurrence – in battles where many Force users are involved, it could even be said to be the prevalent type of engagement.

Enter the mercenary, stage left. In an open battlefield, lingering in a duel is dangerous business. The solution is, of course, to be able to eliminate opponents with speed and efficiency; typically feats attributed to explosives. While grenades have been a staple of any war since the dawn of space age, those are rendered useless in a melee fight. An uncontrolled explosion is just as dangerous to the user as it is to the enemy.

Therefore, the enterprising melee fighter had to borrow from advances in the field of engineering. While shaped charges have been around just as long as grenades, they had always served the people instead of destroying them. Obviously, it was time to rectify this gross lack of abuse.

The CQSC is by no means the ultimate solution, but it is certainly a long leap forward. The design is reminiscent of a dagger or a combat knife, and is also meant to be utilized in the same fashion. This serves a twin purpose: one, to mislead to opponent; two, to massively reduce the time required to ‘set up’ the explosive. Ideally, the user will hold the CQSC like bladed weapon and proceed to thrust its metallic spike into an exposed part of their opponent’s body. Upon impact, the lock holding the spike and the hilt will release, giving the user an opportunity for a quick getaway.

Thus the spike (containing the shaped charge in its entirety), remains fully or partially buried in the flesh or gear of the opponent. The barbs lining the length of the spike seriously impede any attempts at removal, snagging on equipment and massacring tissue.

The explosion itself is modest at a half-meter radius, aware of the unpredictable conditions of melee engagements. Though the charge is shaped, the user is strongly advised to clear the blast range.

Reason for Modification:

Photo Bucket which I was using to host the majority of my images did a dirty on me. They now charge to use their services if one wants to link images uploaded on their website to somewhere else. Like in my case here on SWRP Chaos. Clearly not something I'm willing to do given there are many other free image hosting sites better than Photo Bucket out there. I've move my images to imgur.com and then relinked most of the images from my pages on SWRP with the new links pointing to imgur.com. However I cannot do it for things that were posted to the factory for example which are locked. Therefore any images on those pages now show a picture that shows like a speedo like picture and the comment saying 'Please update your account to enable 3rd party hosting."

Summary of Modification: Swap the text form Model to Modularity and vice versa.
Reason for Modification: Made a silly mistake when subbing the gauntlet and only just noticed it.

Summary of Modification: Replacing the Songsteel with Cortosis
Reason for Modification: After consideration I feel the weapon is severely underpowered. I would like to use the weapons against Force-user's but it is pretty useless against a lightsaber as it can be pretty easily broken. I'd like to replace the songsteel with Cortosis so at least then it deactivates lightsaber's on contact. Making it much more practical.

Strengths:
  • Lightsaber Resistant: The Cortosis used to create this blade gives the weapon the ability to go toe to toe with a lightsaber in prolonged combat, as it is capable of deactivating lightsaber blades on contact.
  • Light: Because of the Cortosis used to forge the blade, it is exceptionally light and easy to handle.
