The Coronation of Baroness Magrath

He had been scanning the room for several minutes now, nothing interesting turned up so far, perhaps this wasn't the opportunity he had been hoping for. Suddenly he heard footsteps very close to him and glanced over to see where they came from. His eyes landed on shoes, feminine shoes, they quickly slid up the frame of the person speaking to him and landed on her face. Before him stood the Queen of Taboon, looks like his lucky break.

"Ray Valerio, Mandalorian Warrior from as you can guess, Mandalore." He introduced himself with a smirk. He took her hand in his and quickly shook it. She might not have been Mandalorian, but any queen deserved respect to some degree. He released her hand from his and looked up at her.

"Anything I can do for you, Your Highness?" He asked in a willing manner. If he was looking for job opportunity getting himself kicked out for disrespecting a queen wasn't an option. Besides, perhaps she had a job or two to toss his way.

Queen Jaira got an idea when Ray asked her that question. "Are you good at tracking people down?" She asked. Captain Arathilion heard this and quickly glanced her way before looking away.

He grinned behind his mask before responding calmly. "I'm quite skilled at tracking." He replied, confidence on his tone. This was going better than expected, so soon and he had already found a possible job. He folded his arms over his chest before speaking again, "I assume you need someone found." He spoke as he thought over who the queen might want eliminated, the possibilities were endless.

"I don't know if this is a type of job you would be interested in, but I need an excellent tracker to find my son, who went missing a while ago. I know you are probably the type of man who only likes doing dangerous jobs, but I had an agent in my planet's intelligence agency track him but they lost him too much. The only thing they could figure out is that there may be a possibility that he may be a Sith now and will most likely be with other Sith. But I refuse to believe that, because what Republic citizen would want their son to be a Sith?" Queen Jaira said. She took a deep breath. "If you do this job I will pay you handsomely."

He pushed through the crowds forcefully to get closer to the Baroness. He scanned the crowds around him, keeping the hood over his head to conceal his face. He listened, trying to tune into any nearby conversations. He attempted to use the force to sense something but wasn't concentrated enough. He felt out of place in the celebration and had tried to be professional about his mission but his hate for the dark side often got the better of him, making him more susceptible to recklessness.

Keep your head down and stay quiet. He told himself as he pulled the hood further down to hide his face and the single braid that labelled him as a Jedi. Well, a Padawan. He attempted using the force once more, not being able to sense any danger. Although he couldn't be sure if that was just his faulty skills. Thinking he was right, as always, he had gone ahead of his master to spy on any suspicious activity. He didn't think this assignment was as exciting as previous ones they'd had. There was no fighting, no skills needed at all really. His eyes darted from one person to another.

He was a bit thrown off by the request, he wasn't hunting a target rather he was just looking for someone. The queen's son had run off and her agents weren't able to keep up with him. It seemed that he was being sent on some errand for a noble. Then came the part that caught his attention, the prince was a sith. Surely the sith would be able to put up a good challenge, and even more than that she claimed he would be receiving a nice reward for capturing her son.

"If he refuses to return with me, would you have me bring him in by force?" Sure he was supposed to keep the boy alive but if he complicated things then Ray could always rough him up a bit. A few bruises and broken bones wouldn't do too much harm to his prize.

[member="Jaira Jorel"]

Jaira smiled. "You can use force if he refuses to come with you, but I just don't want him dead." She said. "My son's name is Wes Jorel. I will pay you a commission cost right now and I'll pay you the rest after he's in my possession. How much would be a good commission for you?"

The black and red flecked eyes of the Sith Lady continued to scan each guest that arrived from her shadowy position, taking note that the Light Side was being represented. If they came here as observers or friends of the future Dutchess, then no harm would come to them. However, if their intentions were to be disruptive then they would find themselves dangling from a noose. So far, everything seemed to be in balance. The only reports she was receiving were the mandatory check-ins from the Fenrir Guardsmen, outside and inside the building. Then she saw him.
A Jedi, she knew their particular stink anywhere, began forcing his way toward the Baroness. He believed his movements had gone unnoticed but to the contrary, several eyes were on him. The young, blonde teenage boy even tried to conceal his face but it was already to late. She had stored his facial features to her memory. Then, to her amusement, he tried to call on the Force a second time; causing her to smile and shake her head. He wasn't very intelligent. The poor boy was broadcasting himself on every Force users radio, and the Sith Lady would not be the only one to take notice of his arrival.
Darth Venefica grew bored watching him and turned her attention back to the other guests. The Fenrir Guardsmen hidden among the crowd would be keeping a close eye on the Jedi boy, if the other Sith Lady wasn't already.

Arms still folded over his chest, Ray nodded his head as was given authority to use force on her son. His target was given the name Wes Hotel, though aliases may Benin place to prevent his mother from finding him. Still, the sith were usually fairly easy to track down. They had a tendency for showboating their superiority and often enough you could follow a trail of corpses to a siths front door. He would need to gather a bit more information, possibly employ a second hand on the job.

He thought over the price for a moment before speaking, after all he couldn't go about just any prices for such a task. "Twenty-Five thousand upfront, another Fifty once I bring you the boy." He said in a manner that suggested he wasn't too interested in lowering his prices.

"I am after all hunting a sith and royalty, while being expected to keep him alive. Their will also be living expenses and transportation fees." He explained as he looked over the Queen.

Queen Jaira got out her handbag and pulled out twenty five thousand. "Here you go." she said. Then she pulled out another five thousand. "Here's for some living expenses and travel." She just started smiling even more knowing that she'll soon have her son back.

Clearly inexperienced, he made eye contact with Darth Venefica, a sarcastic smile curling on his lips. He kept his hood up, merely for the purpose of not raising any more suspicion amongst guests rather than with [member="Darth Venefica"] herself. He kept his eyes trained on her as they were aware of each other's presence. He watched the every move of everyone in front of him, carefully tracking them as he realised by now that he shouldn't use the force as he did. He kept his hand by his side, close to his lightsaber, a little edgy after he couldn't find his master in the crowd.

A smirk curled on his lips as he was handed an extra five thousand credits, he should have charged her more. Ray nodded his head in approval as he slid the money into a pouch that was magnetically attached to his belt. "The job has been accepted. I shall get in touch with you once I locate the prince, when I arrive at his location, and once he has been captured." He assured her as he began to rack his mind. He'd have to stop by various sources of information, not to mention a few taverns once he made his way closer to the target.

He gave a quick bow and looked at the queen again. "Your son is in good hands. Enjoy the rest of your visit. I'm hoping this gathering turns to something more interesting." He said as he glanced past the woman.

Noticing a hooded figure who was obviously attempting to be stealthy he shook his head lightly, he clearly wasn't a professional. He followed the figures gaze up to a woman with black and red eyes, giving off an ominous presence. Perhaps it was a partner of his? Regardless he needed to make a point of confronting the subject.

A sigh escaped the young Mandalorian lips as he looked around the room and back up at the woman curiously. Just because he had received one job didn't mean he couldn't gather a few more while he was here.

Anastasia was here with her Padawan [member="Fletcher Lorcan"] to ensure that he didn't get himself into trouble and to enjoy the party. As a Mando it wasn't often she got the chance to go to a party and dress up.

She supposed had her father still been alive Ana would have been going to such events as this all the time. There was one event that she dreamt of from time to time of being dressed up by her mother in a pretty pink dress for a party like this. She had been three at the time but she could remember twirling around the dance floor.

"Try to relax and have fun," Ana smiled lightly placing her hand on his shoulder. She was well aware of the plan but he ought to loosen up too and not look suspicious. "Perhaps something to drink?" She also was in a pretty dress and didn't want to cause a scene here. If he wished for war it was coming soon. He just needed to be patient. She had chosen to dress up but let him come in his robes since he seemed to feel more comfortable in such.

He sighed and turned around to face Ana. "Yes, master." he said, loosening his shoulders. Her being there somewhat comforted him nonetheless. "I don't trust them." he said generically, although he didn't trust anyone so it was more of an understatement. His hand drew away from his belt but he kept his hood on his head.

"Someone knows we're here now." he said, gazing at her for a moment before looking around again, more conspicuously this time.

[member="Fletcher Lorcan"] would find a hand on his shoulder, though a bit too late as the young one's Master had arrived to talk to him. The man would wait until they were finished before speaking to the young Padawan, who had been broadcasting his Force presence like a beacon, and shooting looks at the Sith that didn't conceal their presence, while making strides toward the Baroness. If the Padawan were to turn, he would come face to face with a stranger, who had his own presence concealed, but the smile on his face showed he was a friend.

He would lower himself to Fletcher's height, and smile warmly, before whispering to him. "Be careful, young one" He would speak softly. "I came rushing over when I saw you making your way toward the Baroness. The Sith have eyes trained on you, I can feel it. You're a young one, please don't put yourself, and any other Jedi here at risk" He would warn calmly, yet warmly, as if he were comforting a child. The young one looked to be in his late teens, but still a Padawan. He was around the age he was when he had become a Jedi Knight. Just a couple years younger then he had been when he received the illustrious title.

"I may not be a part of your Order, but a Jedi and another Jedi are still allies, no matter what colors they fly, and they need to look out for one another" He said softly. "Relax yourself, perhaps allow your Master to help you disguise your Force presence. This is the last place you want to draw attention to yourself" He would advise, before smiling warmly again and raising himself to his full 6'2 height.

His gaze would turn to his Master, [member="Anastasia Rade"], someone he recognized from readings he had done during Iella's invitations toward him for the Silver Jedi. Josh was one to research the beings of an organization before joining... Though his reason for refusing her was more along the lines of not wanting to be under roof of someone that could command him anymore. He had lived his entire life like that, and he had served only to have it thrown back in his face.

He would greet Master Rade with a warm smile, taking her hand daintily and kissing it, in a royal matter. Joshua was here as a noble, after all, even if he disliked being regarded as one, but acting like one was the best way to keep from drawing attention to himself. "Miss Rade, I have heard about you" He would greet with a smile. He would gaze around for a moment before leaning in a bit and whispering toward her, to wherein no others could hear. "I apologize for the intrusion, milady, on you and your Padawan. I came to warn him about the dangers of making strides toward the Baroness and getting the Sith's attention. My name is Joshua DragonsFlame, Jedi Master. I don't belong to an Order, not anymore, but I continue to watch, serve and protect the Jedi from afar, no matter their colors. Please, be careful, and watch over your Padawan. I can sense it, the Sith.. Are everywhere. I don't trust a single person here, but I'm here to gleam information, as you likely are as well" He would whisper quietly before leaning back once the introductions were done to resume this charade. "It is such a pleasure to meet you, Miss Rade" He would speak warmly, friendly, as if pretending he had never given his whispered warnings. It was a bit sudden, he had to admit. But... He just wanted to protect them. As was his duty, Order or no Order.

As he concluded his agreement with the queen, Ray began to weave through the crowd. Most people moved from his path as the Mandalorian approached the hooded man. Suddenly a woman appeared at his side and placed a hand on his shoulder. She was beautiful and wearing a fashy dress, her blonde hair curtained her pale face.

He had already drawn to near the couple to alter his course, it would be apparent he was approaching them. "I have to admit, your suspicious behavior caught my attention." He spoke calmly to the young man, ignoring the woman as if she were not there.

Ray looked the other male over for a moment, "Who might you be?" He asked curiously. Suspicious characters usually made decent hired help, they weren't often missed if things... Didn't go as planned.

He turned around quickly to face [member="Joshua DragonsFlame"] once he felt a hand on his shoulder. He opened his mouth to say something, perhaps ask who he was or what he was doing but Joshua had beat him to it. He hesitated for a moment before realising he was a Jedi Master and opting to stay silent. "My apologies." he said, standing tall as not to look weak or small compared to the taller person. "I didn't realise at the time that it was so... public. I wont do it next time." he inclined his head respectfully to the master before looking away. He knew the Jedi must have been wise, he could tell by the way he spoke. He always felt so insignificant compared to the real Jedi.

Feeling rather ashamed and embarrassed after being warned by another Jedi, one who wasn't even in the same order, Fletcher turned his gaze away from the two masters and back to the Baroness, purely out of curiosity now. He had his back turned to the pair and seemed quite out of it. Though he stayed close to his master this time. He frowned when he saw a stranger approaching him. He stepped back and looked at [member="kingray13"], up and down. "I'm Fletcher Lorcan." he said definitively, regaining his composure and looking at the man. "Why? Who's asking?" he was naturally suspicious of anyone he didn't know. Though it was better to be safe than sorry.

((Just realized it had sent me back on my writer account :\))

It seemed this kid was drawing a lot of attention. He had a small groupnforming around him at this point. A man and woman had both approached him, and now were chatting to the side. Of course they held no significance to Ray as of now. He stopped in front of Fletcher Lorcan and looked him up and down. He didn't seem all too impressive, however if nothing else he would make a good meat shield.

He was a bit surprised that the boy had given his name so easily, many would be weary of a Mandalorian in full gear. "I ask because out of everyone at this gathering, you appear most suspicious. Tell me, what's your business here?" He asked with a hint of curiosity. This place was simply begging for someone to collect the work available, and Ray intended to do just that. With any luck he would be adding onto his list of targets before the coronation came to an end.

He muttered something under his breath, he had been told he needed to work on his tactical skills. He remained level headed and didn't seem at all intimidated by the man. "I'm here under Jedi orders, it's no business of yours." he said calmly. He drew his hood down and folded his arms. It wasn't very often he found a Mandalorian interested in his affairs.

A smirk tugged at his lips beneath the helmet, "A Jedi, huh? You realize there are sith all around us, right?" He asked with a sense of humor. Sure they didn't all have signs over their heads that announced sith, but it was easy enough to assume that they were here and here in force. He thought on it for a moment before asking, "I can only assume that they are also Jedi?" He asked as he motioned towards the other two Jedi behind the boy. It was beginning to make sense, they weren't just a random group of spectators, the Jedi must have been planning an attack. Looks like this might turn out a bit more interesting than he had expected. "Might I ask what the Jedi are planning? ". He glanced around the room, how many others were secretly Jedi? This could get real interesting, real fast. He'd just have to watch and see who the more valuable ally would be.
