The Demon Within (Siobhan)

Mirien nodded, "Together it is, darling." She said softly. Glancing around the room, Miri found herself agreeing, "Perhaps a hotel? Or would you rather be at the Villa? And a movie would be good. Keep our minds busy and settled on other things." She said quietly. "And I'm not in the mood for one of those either. Perhaps something a little more action flick would be good for us right now."

"Action flick sounds good. We can mock the crappy tactics and overdramatic dialogue," Siobhan snarked. For some reason in the movies Jedi and Sith kept talking each other to death. Then again, they also did that in reality. It was all, 'Come to the dark side and gain unlimited power', 'No, I serve the Light. But I shall not kill you, for then I'll become you!' Sometimes reality was incredibly stupid.

"Let's go to my suite. I took that...manling slave you liked with me. He's a good footrest." Totally not being sexist here. So, having finished her meal and her martini, she paid the waitress and then got up, limping out of the cantina. Presumably they had attracted a big audience earlier, but she did not care much. They were plebeian after all. Or nameless NPCs, which was sort of the same thing.

Cora sighed heavily, "Love is awful." The blonde said sadly. "It's done nothing but get me hurt, or the people I care about hurt." Sadly that was the story of her love life, filled with far too much pain to the point that Cora had no urge to ever fall in love again. Not when it came with such heavy risks. It just wasn't worth it to her any longer. Not at all.

She gave a small nod, "I guess that's true. They do care. I kind of forgot about that sometimes." A sigh followed, "I've not even seen Coryth since she came back from wherever she had gone to. But we do go way back. I saved her life when she was just barely a knight, no older than eighteen herself. And me not much older. And she saved mine. We've kind of been odd friends ever since. At least, until she disappeared from the face of the galaxy. No one seemed to know where she went." A shrug followed as she took a last gulp from the glass, finishing it off before setting it aside.

Reaching up, she laid her hand upon Eileithya's on her heart and just holding it there. Cora nodded again, "I certainly hope so. I really miss him. Miss my family. Been alone for a long while, and I hate it." She said quietly.

Another sigh, "I also bought a planet's worth of nerve gas to help aid my revenge." The girl shook her head, "Not that I've actually been so bold as to use it since I purchased it. But, I still planned to have it, to use it. Hell there was an arrest warrant out for my head on that one in Omega." Another shrug. "There was also the building that I blew up on Hapes. And the Senator's office on Coruscant. He was helping the Sith but still far too many innocents died in that. There was an Imperial front company on Coruscant too. Though the name escapes me right now." She said with heavy sigh, regret creeping into every word. "So many innocent lives."

She shook her head and leaned forward, pressing her head into her hands, "I am so lost. So very lost from the person I was before all this started." Cora finally could hold her emotion back no longer and started to sob heavily. So much had weighed on her shoulders for so very very long. It was hard to escape now and just a reality that she had to deal with and accept. Getting it off her chest was bound to help a little but it was still her burden to carry.

Eileithya stiffened when Cora mentioned the nerve gas. On the one hand...she appreciated her honesty. But on the other there were clear limits for her. She believed in redemption, but within reason. If you had used it, I would end you. Ashiranism was a militant faith according to which you earned either heaven or the damnation of hellfire.

However, she did not avert her eyes from Cora. There was innocent blood on the Priestess' hands as well, and the woman lying in bed before her was not a terrorist, but a lost soul. "Yes, you are lost...you are deep in a dark pit, but you can dig yourself out. You are already starting to, even if it does not feel like that,," Eileithya finally spoke, and without any hesitation pulled the human into an embrace when she began sobbing. There was a titanic weight on the blonde's shoulders and so Eileithya reached out to wipe some of the tears away, but other than that just held her.

She briefly considered using her empathy to try and soothe Cora, but then rejected the idea. This was the sort of catharsis the woman needed, even if it hurt her. To stifle her emotions would not only be wrong, but a crime. "I believe in you, dear. So does the Goddess. That is why the demon was purged from your mind. You have a second chance now, if you only grasp it. I will not let you stumble again. No matter your sins, you are not lost to the abyss."

The tears flowed so easily and freely. It had been a pain that she'd been clinging onto for a good decade. It was long since time to let it out, let it go and recognize the things she had done for what they were - terrible, terrible events that shouldn't have happened at her hands.

The best the blonde could manage was to scoot herself closer to Eileithya and wrapped her arms around her, and just let her tears continue to fall. Being held in that moment, was just the thing she needed. Anything to help comfort and soothe the pains she was feeling. Such a heavy burden upon her shoulders. "It doesn't feel like it at all." She managed between sniffles. "I feel trapped." Cora whispered tiredly. A lost soul, feeling more and more lost by the moment. "I don't know if I can ever get out of this.... If I ever can change. I just, I feel doomed to what fate has already handed to me, like it's all I'll ever have."

Though Eileithya's calming presence in the midst of her sobbing, seemed to at least help ease a little of her suffering. At least she wasn't having to go through this alone. A calming voice, a soft touch went a long way with Cora.

"I don't .... I don't know where to start. I don't ... just don't know." The blonde wasn't even bothering to try and wipe her tears away, though grateful that the redhead was helping her in that regard. "I ... I don't know what to do next.. Or even now really. It's just, all so much, too much for me to manage alone. I can't do this alone." Her shoulders rose and fell with a heavy sigh. Her tears didn't show the slightest sign of stopping any time soon.

"Are you sure? Sure that I'm not too far gone?" A question she had to ask. Something she needed to hear the answer to.

The Goddess loves you child. Even if you cannot love yourself. But Eileithya did not say that at this juncture. It was doubtful that Cora would believe that anyone could love her for a long time. It did not help that she refused to allow anyone to. But she would know in time. She would see the radiant light. It would not burn her.

"Yes, I am sure," the Priestess said very firmly. "You may not believe you can change, that your path is set and you are damned. It's understandable...but wrong. If you were truly vile, would you be asking these questions? Would you feel remorse and be struggling to change? No, you would not. It will not be an easy path. Or a cheerful one, alas. The path to redemption is lined with thorns, but it is one you can walk. You just need to let yourself. There is no grand plan, no road map, we can take every day step by step,"

"Indeed we can. Though sometimes I think they mimic the real Jedi a little too much. Exception Coryth." Mirien said with a shake of her head as she slowly rose to her feet.

She nodded, "That sounds good." It was better than the alternative of being stared at here for the rest of the evening. "Oh, did you now?" That was a prospect that interested her a great deal. "I hope he served you well in other aspects too. He's good at a quite a few things." Walking right beside Siobhan, Mirien at least seemed in a moderately better mood, over how she felt in the bar. With some luck, a movie might set her in a better mood.

"Agreed. Especially their tendency to try and talk Sith to death instead of actually fight. Or suddenly turn traitor because they've 'fallen in love'. Bunch of whimps," Siobhan said scathingly. Recent events had only increased her dislike of most Jedi. Excluding some special snowflakes like the short stack of fire. This was probably one of the reasons why revelations about Mirien purging Jedi in the past did not bother Siobhan that much.

However Mirien's next comment made her blush, her cheeks acquiring a light scarlet hue. "Yeah, he is indeed. Obedient, likes being humiliated, got nice muscles," she said, feeling a bit embarrassed. She blamed Mirien and Coryth for infecting her with a desire to occasionally have straight sex. Well, Eyrecae had said that variety was the spice of life! Anyhow, they would eventually arrive at the suite and Siobhan opened the door, walking inside.

It would not take them long to find the aforementioned manling slave. The Eldorai male was built like a bodybuilder or boxer, though he was not absurdly muscled to the point of being unattractive. Siobhan liked it when her manlings were ripped, but not obscenely so. Needless to say he was bare-chested, though have no fear, kiddies, his...private parts further down were covered since he was wearing pants. Admittedly these were rather tight and figure-hugging, but you get the picture. "Mistress Valdier, Mistress Kerrigan, welcome home. I've cleaned the house and made your bed. Would you like some wine? Or a foot massage?" he asked submissively, bowing.

Cora sighed heavily, shifting against the Eldorai. She had heard the words, but she'd not really been able to find the words to respond with. So for the moment she remained quiet and let the tears keep falling.

It took her a while before she finally found anything she could say at all. "I ... I guess that's true." After all someone truly reprehensible didn't feel the things that she did. They wouldn't have been sitting there sobbing or feeling remorse and pain for the things she had done. Someone truly reprehensible would have used the nerve gas the first chance they had. Cora didn't. Even she couldn't stomach it, but she nonetheless did buy it. Still it was a small step in the right direction. And she had managed to resist Vahri's attempts to get her to use it as well. It seemed even the blonde had limits.

With another sigh, she drew her knees up to her chest and laid her head upon her knees. "I want to change. I do." She whispered between sniffles. "I really, just have no idea where to start." She sighed heavily, "I just know I don't want to be the person I have been. I don't like her and frankly she frightens me. I can't keep being her anymore. It's going to get me killed, and more innocents who don't deserve it. All on a path for something I'm not even sure I want anymore."

"I just can't be this way, anymore. I can't do it." She spoke softly, keeping her head against her knees.

"Cora, look at me. You can change. You can choose not to be her. I faced the same choice as well. A long time ago. It was difficult, it was frustrating, there were times when I stumbled and almost fell, but I managed. So did your friend Coryth. You can as well," Eileithya said firmly. Reaching out with her hand she gently stroked across Cora's hair. She had given up on wiping the tears away and instead just rocked the distraught human.

Briefly she let Cora go and reached for something lying inside a bag. It was a well-worn book that had clearly seen use. The holy book of Ashira. Elaborate Eldorai sigils were emblazoned upon the cover, though once one opened the book one would find that it had been written in Galactic Basic. "It is not for everyone, but maybe this will help a bit."

"It's pathetic, truly." She said with a shake of her head. "Whimps is an understatement for sure." She couldn't truly stand the Jedi any longer. Not that she ever held much respect for them. Coryth was the exception, not the rule.

Mirien just grinned seeing Sio blush. It was quite cute in her eyes. "I'm glad you are enjoying him. He was delightful for what time I spent with him." She said with a smile, thinking back to those fun moments.

Coming in to find said lovely slave, brought such joy to Mirien. Without a doubt, it was going to be a fun night. "Oh, I really like him." She said to Sio before turning back to him. "How about both. I think we both deserve such, this evening."

Mirien's mood seemed to be improving, which brought joy to Siobhan, though she had the feeling that the brunette would at some point find cause to troll her. Regardless she could not resist raising her hand and running it over the slave's muscular chest. He did not flinch when her nails scraped across it. "So do I. We definitely deserve it," she said lustfully.

"As you command, Mistresses. I shall eagerly serve under your heel," the adonai said with a completely straight face. Siobhan had the distinct impression that he was trolling her because that's what all her minions did. Ah, well, soon he would be kissing her feet. Maybe also her high heels. Regardless she gave his butt a good slap when he departed to get their drinks and then, kicked off her heels in a rather unlady-like manner and flopped on top of a couch. "Come here, dear. Movies are over there, Your choice," she spoke jovially and pointed at a cubpoard, where holovids had been stacked in an orderly manner.

Cora sighed heavily but finally lifted her head to look at Eileithya. The girl managed a nod. The redhead had a good point, Coryth had managed. And Coryth, she knew too well had been through hell and Cora didn't even know the full length of that story either. "I hope you are right." She said quietly. Truly she hoped so. It wasn't going to be an easy path for her, but she had to start somewhere. She needed to change before it became the very end of her.

Her attention was soon drawn to the book. Cora at first lifted an eyebrow, wondering what it was but soon enough it became clear as she opened the book. She glanced momentarily to the Priestess and then back to the book. "Thank you." She said softly, and shifted just enough to hold it against her chest. It wasn't something she seemed to want to let go of in that moment. "I hope it will help. I'll try anything at this point to try and help me. I just don't want to keep going the way I am."

This she could not complain about in the least. She seemed content seeing the manling's reaction to her words. She certainly was liking him more and more by the second. A smirk played across her lips, as she turned to admire him as he left the room. It was clear, Mirien just needed a good distraction from her thoughts.

Her attention then turned to Siobhan, and she nodded as she headed over to the cabinet. Flipping through the options, it didn't take her long to find an interesting flick about Jedi back in the Sith Wars, when they seemed a bit more tolerable to the brunette. Quickly she poped it in, for the both of them. Then she headed over to the couch, taking her seat right beside Siobhan. Leaning over, she was quick to rest against her bond-sister for comfort. It had been a long day for her, that much was certain. Well for the both of them. "There we go." She said quietly as the movie started to play for them and the manling returned with their wine. Ready to serve their every whim.

"I hope it helps you, dear. It is not for everyone and it is not perfect, but to me it was a candle in the darkness. If you took an interest, you'd be one of the very, very few non-Eldorai who do," Eileithya said. Cora would get to be a special snowflake again! "It is written in Basic. The old guard would consider that a sacrilege, but there is a reason they're old fossiles." Totally being orthodox here. "But I think you should rest for now. This has been a day of tribulations for you, in many ways. I can stay the night here with you if you like."

The two lovely ladies of the 'dark is not evil' sisterhood were being so adorably domestic. It was these simple moments that Siobhan treasured so much. It had been a long day, now they could finally relax. She could only hope that they would still be able to have moments like this in the future. Banishing the nagging pessimism from her mind, she snuggled up to Mirien, giving her a kiss on the cheek and resting her head on the woman's shoulder. It felt so sweet and comforting, like they belonged together like this.

Very soon the vid began playing. As was common, at the start there was a dramatic announcement with bolded, capitalised letters. 'IT IS A TIME OF WAR IN THE GALAXY. ACROSS THE STARS THE VALIANT ARMY OF LIGHT FIGHTS A DESPERATE STRUGGLE AGAINST THE EVIL SITH. CAUGHT BEHIND ENEMY LINES, JEDI YSANNE..." and so on and so forth. Good vs. evil, evil superweapon of doom that must be destroyed, Jedi must resist the allure of the dark side! There would be plenty of action in the flick, which pleased Siobhan. Fittingly it began with a dramatic action scene.

"I don't mind the old Army of Light. They actually got things done," Siobhan muttered to herself. She had long concluded that Jedi Lords would be fun. "Yummy, that chick is cute. Nice arse. Maybe I should get to know her actress," she commented, referring to a female Jedi with some rather fetching...assets. The manling slave returned with their drinks and after handing them over went on his knees like a good minion and began lapping loving attention on their feet. He was clearly a special manling since he was able to concentrate on one foot each. Multitasking was not something the average man was any good at.

Cora nodded, as she reached up to dry her eyes. "I appreciate it." She said quietly. A smile coming to her lips for a moment to hear what Eileithya thought of the old guard. A soft sigh came, "I guess I need to rest." For it seemed she wasn't the only one who was having a long day. At least now, her mind was quieter. It was almost peaceful for the first time in a long, long while.

"I'd like it if you'd stay." Quite frankly Cora didn't want to be alone in any shape form or fashion. Not then, and especially not when she feared that if she was ..... She'd spend much of the night crying herself to sleep. And that was something she couldn't handle on her own right then. "I just, really don't want to be alone."

"Alright, dear. I shall stay the night with you then," Eileithya replied quietly, giving the blonde a soft kiss on her lips. Presumably they then got freshend up and washed. One imagined that people did that sort of thing in this Galaxy, though it is usually skipped over because it is not very interesting. That done she climbed back onto the bed and slipped under the covers. The Priestess was not endowed with gravity-defying pillows like Siobhan, but she was still comfortable to snuggle up against and so she wrapped her arms around Cora. "Rest well, dear. Goddess knows you need it."

"Thank you." She said softly in reply. The kiss, surprised her a bit. Though maybe it shouldn't have. Eldorai, certainly are different. Not that I mind it.... Still, it wasn't quite what she was expecting. After cleaning up for the evening, Cora returned to the bed, and crawled in under the sheets. With the Priestess joining her, she was quick to scoot over and lay against her. It certainly helped to keep her calmer as she shifted and laid her head upon the woman's chest. Listening to her heartbeat, helped to lull Cora into relaxing at last.

"Good night, Eileithya." She said softly as she closed her eyes, hoping that sleep would come quickly. That was something she certainly needed, rest and a good night of sleep for the first night in ages. A night where she didn't have to share her mind with Vahri.

If Cora embraced the true faith, she would become a celebrity. One could only hope that the Goddess would not fail her people, since they were about to lose their homeworld. It would suck a lot if they lost Tygara as well. "Good night, dear." And so Eileithya likewise fell into a slumber. In her case it would be a peaceful one. While Eileithya did not have melons, her chest would be quite comfortable to lay on and she would hold Cora through the night as the hours passed. Hopefully it would be a peaceful sleep for the blond, especially after all the tribulations she had been through. She certainly needed a good rest.
