The Magrath Family White Tie Formal

"Just thinking of some things that've gone on recently." She sighed, thinking over her previous deals with the Mandalorians - in particular, how they had fucked her over when she just wanted to do some simple business. And as [member="Baroness Magrath"] made her official utterances, Circe siled, eying her over. "She's one hell of a woman, isn't she?"

Dral looked [member="Baroness Magrath"] over.
"Yes, she is. I have to say, I've never been in the company of royalty before, even a Baroness or a Queen."
He chuckled.
"It's not what I expected. Not bad, just not what I expected."

"He's my first apprentice. I'm not exactly sure if I am able to take a second or not. It is interesting that he prefers Makashi above the other styles, or so it seems."
Armand seemed nice, so Nefertari asked "Would you care to dance?"

"Such is understandable... I do hope to meet her, though. I have business to discuss on behalf of my employers." A half-truth, but so long as she could further the interests of her business with Ayden, she would be successful.

"I would be delighted," Armand replied with a bow. He took her hand and led Neferarti to the ballroom.

"Hope you don't mind The Hapan Waltz," he said, not giving her much time to respond before moving their feet into the step-step-close pattern.

The Hapan Waltz, a dance Nefertari learned dancing on her father's shoes when she was little. (OOC note: made this up on the spot)
"So, where are you from?" She asked [member="Armand Temi"]

"I work on behalf of a technological company. Emeritus Industries is what it's called." She smiled, giving a soft grin as she looked the Mando over.

"What about you?"

Armand maneuvered the Jedi around the ballroom. She seemed to know the Hapan Waltz fairly well, which impressed him.

"I'm from Hapes," Armand replied. "But it's not really where I spend most of my time."

He tried to say this in a humble way but he wasn't sure if he was coming off as the typical arrogant Hapan.

[member="Nefertari Sovint"]

"Lately I've been spending my time on Ession and in Wild Space," he replied, trying to impress her a little. It wasn't often Armand got to dance with a Jedi Knight after all.

Once the music ended he gave her a regal bow and clapped at the string quartet. He still could hear his older sister's voice in his head commanding him to move around the room and meet more of the dignitaries that were were so prevalent ronight. He said, "It's been charming to meet your acquaintance. I do hope we get to meet again in similar circumstances."

He nodded his head in goodbye and reluctantly walked away, moving closer to where the Baroness and Queen of Naboo were situated.

It started at her head as it softly nodded before flowing down her neck, along her torso and ending at her hips. The Baroness bowed as a gesture of greeting as she was accustomed to doing so when she was approached by or had approached a new acquaintance. It went so far that even the nexu that followed its mistress was trained to offering a sweeping bow, much like a rider on its tamed creature might train such a beast to preform. The one thing that remained constant though were her golden yellow hues that never lost contact with the eyes of the subject she was engaged with at that moment.

"It is a pleasure to meet you Taeli Rae. I would gladly entertain the idea of meeting after the soiree."

Her answer wasn't a direct refusal of the proposition, nor was it a binding agreement. The words were spoken as such merely because of the fact that the Baroness was expected to entertain multiple guest afterwards and was unsure if she had time for each and every one of them. With a gentle bow to dismiss herself, her eyes once more fell upon the Queen of Naboo. Approaching her softly, she gave a smile before a silent nod with a bow. As if they were age old friends, the Baroness slipped her arm and hooked her elbow into the crook of [member="Feena Mason"]'s.

"Who might this young man be dear Queen?"

Perhaps it was too friendly for a woman of her station, though she did enjoy some closeness with others. It wasn't often that a Baroness was able to hold a soiree and remain the center of attention when a Queen was involved.

The Eternal Queen
At last, the very woman the Queen had been dying to see. Bright silver eyes caught the eyes of the Baroness and a smile found her lips.

"I was just asking the same thing. We have not yet been introduced," she answered, unable, for the moment, to bow back while the Baroness had her arm, "but the other gentleman here is my husband, [member="Keter"] Mason."

She gently touched the arm of her tall blond companion.

"Keter, this is [member="Baroness Magrath"], who was kind enough to invite us here tonight."

"I work on behalf of a military company." She smiled. "I'll say little more than that."

After all, the more she referenced it, the more interested they would be... and traces could be done. Traces Circe neither needed nor wanted.

Damien wandered about the 'bash', eyes hardly moving from one particular person: Pandeima. He ought to go to the woman, and speak with her so as to at least attempt to let her know it-

Sir, I attempted to find her, but she is currently busy with the Baroness Magrath. Drake said into his mind, interuptting all thoughts as his massive body hoofed its way closer.

"That is fine Drake, I have all the time in the world." Damien said, then lowered his voice as he asked, "Will you accompany me? Have my back if I need it?"

Of course! You know this! The massive body of the centaur-scorpion twitched, his tail swishing and flinching in the air behind his body almost of its own accord.

"Good, we are going to bother a woman I nearly brought death to." Damien said as he began his approach of his old ally - what was that feeling? Optimism? He found himself hoping to bring about a better alliance between them, one unhindered by the simplest of betrayal such as he had done to one he believed he had owed something.

Keter

The Renegade
The blond made sure to bow his head the proper amount to show the respect expected of him. He wasn't fond of being forced to bow - he liked to do it on his own terms. It was so theatrical and fun! BUt when it was expected...well, it sucked all the fun out of the act. Still, he wouldn't embarass his wife here.

"[member="Baroness Magrath"] ," the blonde said in greeting, and chose to rmeain quiet. He knew enough from dealing with those in power that you only spoke when spoken to. The powerful liked to talk, not always to listen. So, smiling politely, he stood half a step behind his wife, her ever present and loyal shadow, and listened.

Dral shrugged.
"Mercenary work, mostly. Fighting's just about all I'm good at."
He began to look at [member="Enigma"] differently. This was getting interesting.
"A military company? Hmm. Perhaps they could use another brute mercenary?" He asked with a grin.

"Not really that specific type of military company..." She paused, thinking a bit further. "Though I would gladly recommend you to some of the people I know..." Of course, she chose not to mention that the options, one or the other, were either the biggest mercenary-like organization in the galaxy, or the Sith, but he didn't need to know that.

Not now, anyways.

Golden-Yellow hues glanced over those that approached and those that remained. With those still approaching and beginning to form a small circle, the Baroness took a breath before allowing a smile to grace her lips as she nodded her head in response. Her arm remained in the crook of the Queen's elbow, as a means to "save" [member="Feena Mason"] from other such interactions if it were inquired, and vice versa. The Baroness merely hoped that the Queen understood the posturing as well. Hearing the voice, she did all she could to hold back the slight giggle that was working its way up. The Baroness was clearly knowable just from appearance, and the simple fact that a large nexu remained at her side, keeping those few it thought dangerous at bay. For that night though it was content with purring and rubbing against her leg while its eyes darted from one potential prey to the next.

"It is a pleasure to meet you all."

The Baroness spoke as she stood silently for another moment, just watching and waiting. Her own attention brought to those around her, as she had lost track of many other guest. There were eyes though and those eyes were focused upon [member="Lord Daemos"] and the beast that moved with him. After all, the Baroness had invite her guest due to her position as remaining a neutral host, and there was to be no trouble beneath her roof.
