Objective two:
Mr. Sala, the Corosian Phoenix handler is very worried indeed. Members of the Silver Jedi have been asked to help with an investigation concerning the theft of three Phoenix eggs. These eggs are rarities, as they are only laid every 100 years. The safe return of the eggs is very important, as the mother is growing distressed and even losing her feathers!

Please meet Mr. Sala at the exhibit for more information, he should be along shortly!

[There will be DM'ed elements to come for Obj 1 and 2!]

Ugohr Poof

The Traveling Gungan Salesman
Objective: Menagerie

After spending so much time on Manaan in an attempt to get them to make some space for a Pizza Hutt joint inside a submersible kolto-producing platform, Ugohr was more than happy to see live, land (albeit non-sentient) animals again; since he never had any interactions with non-sentient animals other than as merchandise, thanks to his food business, the Gungan was curious to see what the menagerie held. But he was going alone, without any of his staffers, and just look like an ordinary Gungan for the purpose of this trip to Amar. Now, he would be doing so on his own dime, and leave the corporate barge behind, and just travel on space liners. Now that he was at the ticket booth, he was lucky that it wasn't an amusement park in the style of the Project Aralia, about which he heard a lot of different things. Such as flash passes, food passes and other items that complexified the pricing scheme of the park. Here it was a very simple operation: just the age and that was the end of the pricing story. When it was his turn to get to the ticket booth, the Amari cashier asked him one question:

"May I take your order?"

"Una general admission for una adult"

Objective 1: Menagerie

Did they think her tamed?

Probably not. [member="Jyoti Nooran"] was keeping her on a tight leash. Almost literally. Samka reached up to touch the collar around her neck. It was proof of her position as their prisoner and an insurance should she attempt to fight back. But she had no plans to do so today. Time could still be bided until better opportunities emerged. Besides, Jyoti did not have to grant permission for this little field trip yet the Jedi Master had done so. As a show of good faith in return, the Ren would not cause trouble for today. The opportunity would instead be taken to get to know her captors a little better.

And to get some fresh air.

The collar aside, Samka was in relatively good spirits. The girl, known to the Silver Jedi as Elizah, was wearing a free flowing summer dress to her knees while intensive make up hid the extent of the Dark Side's rot on her appearance. She remained pale but nowhere close to the ghostly figure she did normally. The zoos had never been her thing, the manmade structures and rearing of the animals made a poor imitation of nature in the Ren's view but merely being out of her room again gave her enough joy. The sights, sounds and smells of a different environment a refreshing change of pace from the cell she had been confined in.

'Elizah' gave a satisfied and very vocal sigh, loud enough for her company (or guards depending on your perspective) to pick up on. "I've not set foot in a place like this since I was..." she spoke wistfully before pausing in thought. "I must have been nine years old. The time does fly."

She spun on the spot, enjoying the sensation of the light breeze on her bare legs as the fabric bounced slightly. The little sensations of the great outdoors one takes for granted. Samka would not do so again.

A child brushed past, almost collided with the young woman as he rushed to see the Porgs at the petting zoo, exclaiming his excitement the entire time. Not even an apology, bad mannered brat.

"How sweet," she lied with a smile before turning her attention to the silver haired Jedi Master accompanying her, a brow rising to tease the elder woman. "Tell me, Master Nooran, do you too have a favourite animal you simply must dash to see?"

Objective: Menagerie

It was a full house for Jyoti at the zoo.

With her was Allyson, Josh and his own party, and last but not least, Elizah. The raven-haired Dark Sider was still very much on lockdown in the Silver Order after her altercation with Charlie, but weeks of good behavior had needed her the reward of getting some fresh air under close supervision by the Shadow. The Silver Order was in the business of rehabilitation, not perpetual punishment, so Elizah would be given at least once chance to make a amends. However, it had been made abundantly clear to the woman that if she even looked at a bystander the wrong way, then she was getting thrown in a magma cell with her name on it.

Jyoti just quietly watched Elizah as she walked ahead, obviously giddy with her new found freedom. Both had exchanged their robes for something more casual, Jyoti sporting her favorite green bomber jacket and low cut jeans. At that moment, Elizah almost looked sweet, childlike in her gleeful expressions. If Jyoti didn't already know the truth, then she may have thought of Elizah as being as adorable as Charlie. She could see now how her apprentice had been so easily duped.

"I think we'll give Jason the honors here."

She looked over at Jason, who was like a miniature version of Josh at this point. He could walk and talk to some degree at this point, though it remained to be seen if he had inherited his father's sense of humor.

"Though I do fancy seeing some Porgs. I've only seen holovids and stories of them from researchers to the First Temple. Cute little things."

Quite tasty too, if other stories were to be believed, but Jyoti didn't think she could even harm a feather on one of those things.

[member="Cassius Droma"]

“I wanna see animals,” Inaya said, casually mentioning it for what might have been the hundredth time.

The girl knew that Cassius had business in the sector, but surely he would find time to bring her down to Amar. Inaya had done her research, the world was home to a race of beings that looked very much like foxes. As she had read, they captured creatures from far away places. At one time, they even made quite a profit from the trade of exotic animals. It was likely that some still did. However, the advertising of the Menagerie, a wildlife park, had caught the young girl’s attention.

A zoo was an interesting notion, but it was also a strange to the former slave.

Were the animals well cared for? Were they forced to be there against their will? Were they sad? Questions like this threatened very much to ruin Inaya’s day. But, a zoo was also something she had never been able to see before. The conflict gave way to excitement.

It was nice to travel with the Jedi pilot that she had come to call big brother, but his missions did not always leave room for a child to accompany him. This often meant that she would have to stay behind on the ship. Inaya hadn’t asked the details this time, for she’d hoped very much that Cassius might take a small detour. From her seat on the bridge, she craned her neck to see the console. They were close now. There wasn’t much time left, she had to try to entice them again.

“There’s even gonna be porgs,” She noted, eyes flickering from Cassius to T4. “You wanna see too?”

Eyebrows lofted curiously, which one would cave first? Or… would they remain stony in the face of a possible trip to the zoo?

Objective: 1

Leina was having so much fun all of the animals while she moved around looking at them. The twi'lek wore her robes and her leku twitched in excitement. She was practically bouncing though in place, vibrating through everything and she had a lot to do. Her beast taming talisman's were on her hip, she was adding and looking up the creatures on the padawan that was showing her everything.... then well there was her speakign to them. Animal friendship and beast taming were fun but learning the language of the animals was important as she spoke to one. "I think I shall name you Princess Porg and we are going to be best friends." The porg was looking at her as she mirrored it opening its mouth wider, wider wider still and both were making the same sound. Though the real question was who was copying who.

A zoo.

Allyson had never been to a zoo before and a part of her was giddy like a child. Those giddy childish feelings were well masked (for the most part) by the cool collected persona of the Corellian pilot. A day off was something precious and Allyson was more than happy to spend it with Jyoti, Josh and his kid along with something else. The Corellian assumed the third wheel – or the fourth…fifth wheel of the group would have been Jyoti’s bottomless pit of a padawan. Instead she was greeted with someone else.

Now being connected to the Force like the others, Allyson picked up on the little dark side taint that surrounded the otherwise adorable younger woman. Not asking to many questions, Allyson looked at Jyoti and shrugged. An interesting pick but figured there was a reason. The girl questioned what animals they were going to see, of course Allyson had a pick but before she could open her mouth, the Echani spoke. Eyes fell on the toddler and Allyson chuckled. “He’s the tour guide today then – sounds perfect.”

A smile and she casually took a place next to the Jedi, as she walked beside Jyoti she brushed slightly arm to arm and then found her path once again. It was nice to wear civilian clothing – no Jedi Pajamas even though she’d never wear them or wearing her dress uniform. Today she wore one of her trademark white fitted V-neck shirt, spacey dog tags and all, along with a pair of short shorts.

Looking over towards her companion, she nodded. “The porgs are pretty cool, I think you can pet them in their exhibit. We should put them down on the list along with the loth-cats. I’m sure Jason would probably really enjoy the petting zoo. Maybe even uh…” Allyson blanked – she couldn’t remember if anyone told her the other girl’s name. Instead she cleared her throat and directed her attention for a moment to Elizah. “Allyson – you are?”

“Now now, this is quite a pleasant surprise, usually I am the one whom is invited to accompany you in these outings. Yet you just so happen to choose a location where I am already conducting business. You just can’t stay away can you?” Leah said from the side. The noble has been meeting with some of the people in charge of the establishment and was dressed for business. Leah was sorting a navy blue dress, all in one. Exposing her shoulders and above her chest. The lower section of the soft fabric extended beyond her knees, stopping about half way down the front of her leg. She was also sporting a handbag under her left arm and a tall pair of heels, about 5 inches.

Leah approached the familiar group of Jedi calmly, waving away the man who she had been walking with, instead heading directly towards [member="Jyoti Nooran"] to say her greetings. She would offer polite inclined of the head and gestures towards her companions and the tour guide who had also appeared.

“I was just about to leave, yet I now find myself tempted to join you for a walk around this place, maybe finish with a cup of tea, some scones and a meal later perhaps, if you think you could eat?”

She stopped a meter away from Jyoti and then crossed her arms and relaxed her posture a little as she waited for the other woman to reply. She could always head back if the Jedi was busy, they did have a lot on their plate there kinds of people.

Ugohr Poof

The Traveling Gungan Salesman
Objective: Menagerie

Once he purchased his zoo ticket, he realized that a ghost from his past on Keres I has resurfaced, while on this trip to capture panokseons, land animals that could eat ambient hypermatter. But surely [member="Leina Snowfire"] would be trying to befriend animals all over the zoo; that's why she even was on that trip in the first place. In the petting zoo, he would get to see eopies and porgs and, of course, the red Twi'lek attempting to befriend them. Yet, while he may have seen eopies on Tatooine, he never saw live loth-cats so he would attempt to pet one, knowing this is a delicate operation since he knows they can cause problems. As with many carnivorous animal species, he had to tread lightly when trying to pet loth-cats; however, there were many different zoo guests that wanted to pet those, so he could only spend a limited time on petting loth-cats; maybe he could get to pet porgs or to ride an eopie afterward. With the guests eyeing those specific animals, he feels he had no choice but to pet porgs instead, while chickatilis and other non-sentients commonly kept as pets across the galaxy were not as popular among the crowd.

Objective: Menagerie

Josh had to admit, the idea of a field trip coming from Jyoti and the Assembly like this was a bit surprising, but he supposed it was better than the dullness of the old councils in old places. They were people, not weapons, he had to keep telling himself. But he wasn't going to complain, Jason loved and absolutely adored animals and if Jyoti was inviting him and Jason to go to a petting zoo so Jason could see animals, he wasn't going to say no. Though he was surprised to learn that Jyoti herself had been working with a dark-sider, and to boot had recommended he invite Scherezade to come with them to perhaps help her get her mind off things. Despite the fact he liked Scherezade, he was a bit hesitant to let the unstable Sith or Jyoti's charge in the vicinity of Jason, but with the presence of Jyoti and Allyson in the group, he at least felt a bit more secure, enough to give it a try.

Josh walked with the group, wearing a black leather jacket over a casual blue t-shirt, wearing pants and shoes far from tight-fitting though his size certainly made it look like they were. In regards to the others here and what they had seen, he almost never walked around not wearing his Jedi attire, but this was an exception. Using a product he had found, Josh had managed to speed back the growth of his hair, which was now the same length it had been before he had cut it short for the undercover mission. To the relief of many, especially Srina apparently. His hair had been pulled back into a braid again, so Jason or an animal didn't tug at it by accident. Below him, holding Josh's hand was a child with short blonde hair and brown eyes who looked to be closing in on about three years old. At first his expression had been shy, but he had slowly begun to come out of his shell and show a curious side when the animals began to come into view.

Josh smiled as he let the girls talk about where to go next, and would bow his head warmly when they would offer it to Jason. Though when one of them said "porgs", Jason's eyes lit up. "Porgies?" The child would pipe up, one of the few times that he had spoken around Jyoti or Allyson. Josh would chuckle a bit. "Jason and I actually domesticated a porg some time ago, after it got stuck in the ship's hull. Decided to keep it to let it keep Jason company. He adores porgs" He would explain. "So that's certainly a good start" He suggested as he would lean down to be eye level with Jason. "Jason, do you want to go see the porgies?" He would ask the child, who would begin to rapidly nod his head. "Yes!" Jason cried out as the excitement seemed to radiate all around from him, the child's excitement rising to the point he had started shaking.

He remembered then that his meeting point with Scherezade was close to the exhibit as well, he'd almost forgotten where. Suppose that worked out. Josh pointed toward the sign that led to the porg exhibit. "The porgies are that way, Jason. Lead the way?" He suggested to the child as Jason would begin speed-walking toward the direction pointed, the Jedi Master breaking out in laughter as he was struggling to keep a hold on his hand and keep up with the child.

She looked like crap. She felt like crap. She didn't know why she'd agreed to come to this zoo thing. There were animals. Everywhere, animals. The Sithling knew she was supposed to love animals; her own mother had owned a magnificent zoo in her back yard when she was a child growing up on Spira. Scherezade had the memories of it and what it looked (and smelled) like, courtesy of her grandmother. But she herself... With the exception of a single special cousin type of a rancor she had hugged, had never actually touched animals unless it was to kill them, and it usually was to kill them because they tried to kill her first. Two fur coats had been made out of such stupid animals.

But this... This was a zoo.

Josh had managed to convince her to come despite her protests, and there had been many of those. Eventually though, she gave in, and they had agreed to meet next to the Porg exhibition.

And apparently, they were not going to be alone. She could sense the Force presences of others, despite being very clearly intoxicated and looking like crap. Her hair looked like it hadn't been combed in two weeks (it had been more), her face looked like it hadn't been scrubbed in a month (it had been less), an the bags under her eyes as well as the sickly hue of her skin thanks to lack of sleep and proper nutrition stood out like a sore thumb in this place of many many animals and all the happy shiny people.

Scherezade unhooked her water-skin (filled with liquor) from her belt and took a nice long swig.

She was going to kill Josh for this later.

"Elizah," Samka offered a polite curtsy with a smile to the Corellian woman as she gave the name the Silver Jedi had come to know her by. "A pleasure I'm sure."

Samka was vaguely away of the company of today, having grilled Jyoti prior to arrival. The woman speaking to her was Allyson while the blond man was a Jedi Master named Josh accompanied by his young son Jason. Beyond names, the Ren did not know and nor did she care unless they were going to be potential contacts.

Or adversaries.

"I assume we're going to see the 'porgies' then," Samka's pronunciation of the child's nickname for the popular animal lingering in the air as the father and son pair speed walked to their destination. "I don't understand children," Samka commented off-hand to Allyson with Jyoti distracted by a newcomer. "If the boy has a domesticated Porg why come all the way out here and be excited about more of them instead of the other animals on offer?"

She stopped short of outright insulting the boy, it wasn't his fault he was a child. They all were once. Even she was an idiot at that age.

"I'd follow now but, er," Samka tugged at the collar on her neck then nodded in Jyoti's direction, "It's not wise for me to leave her line of sight."

Finley Dawson

Guest
Location: Corosian Phoenix Exhibit
Objective: Interviewing Mr. Sala (Objective 2)

There was a case to solve, but Finley couldn't help but admire the pair of adult phoenixes on display. Up to that point, he had only read up on the Corosian Phoenix on the holonet, but now in the flesh, he found them to be even more impressive than he had imagined. The avians were tall and slender like a swan, with a vibrant plume of deep reds, golds, and violets that shimmered like fire. He could see why they shared the name of the same mythical creature of legend.

It was truly a beautiful sight to behold, but the viewing was bittersweet as he could feel a great deal of stress emanating from the phoenixes as they flitted about restlessly. Meanwhile, a flock of Kiros was massed at the border fence separating their enclosures, studying the scene with a sense of wonder and curiosity. He glanced at the flock, meeting the gaze of some of the squat birds, earning a few chirps in acknowledgment.

He couldn't help but grin in response. Smart little buggers, equal in intelligence to a small Youngling. If he wasn't already on business, then he would have spent some quality time with them.

"Mr. Dawson," a soft voice called out from behind.

Finley turned to come face to face with a graying Amaran. It took him a minute to recognize the vulpine as Mr. Sala, as all Amarans looked so similar to his human eyes. He was finally able to ID him from his clothing, identical to his reference photo for the assignment.

"Yes that's me," he said, then offered a small bow. "How are the parents holding up?"

Sala stroked his whiskers as he looked past the Jedi for the Phoenix enclosure.

"Understandably manic. It's a good thing they can't actually project fire, or this whole exhibit would have probably been burned to a crisp. It's been impossible to move them to begin our investigation. That's why we were hoping the Silver Jedi could help."

Finley nodded. "That's why they sent me. I should be able to coax them out no problem. Exactly how long has it been since the theft?"

"About a day. I fear that we may be too late, but those eggs are a delicate item that requires careful handling, so they're not easily stowed away for smuggling. That may be our only saving grace."

"We can still try and hope for the best. Now let's get started."

Location: Corosian Phoenix Exhibit
Objective: Interview Mr. Sala (2)
Partner: [member="Finley Dawson"]

Charlie found herself not at the petting zoo as she had hoped, but instead she was going to be working the day everyone was on a fieldtrip. Possibly because she got a 98 on her investigative test instead of the usual 100 marks she had been getting. Her mind wasn’t fully focused on her studies as of right now, there were other things going on and she wondered if that was the reason why Jyoti hadn’t let her participate in working with the dark sider she had apprehended. The more she thought about it, her more her lips pouted.

Still, she knew there was a reason for it and her Master was the wiser on this matter. Didn’t meant that Charlie couldn’t silently disagree, but it did mean she had to listen and follow what she was directed to do. Today, she found herself eating an ice cream sandwich and heading into the closed off phoenix display. She wandered and admired the birds until someone called someone else’s name. Looking over her shoulder there was another with her, his features were like her and she wondered if they came from the same place.

Curiosity piqued as she slowly wandered over toward the man and the old man who she assumed was Mr. Sala. The shorter girl stood near the two men and then quietly interjected as well. “The Silver Jedi sent me as well, I’m Charlie.” A small smile spread across her face as she introduced herself. Introductions were always odd for the girl, not having a last name, most wonder what they should call her when being polite. Hopefully she could avoid that here. “You said the eggs aren’t easily stowed for smuggling? Can you describe them to us? Possibly if you have pictures as well that might help.” Charlie wasn’t quite keen on what these eggs would look like – in her mind she figured they were just very decorative chicken eggs.

Objective 1

In a pleasant surprise, the gang bumped into Leah, apparently on business at the zoo. Jyoti knew the Galidraani Countess was loaded and could probably buy up the whole thing if she wanted.

She took a few steps forward to reach out to pat Leah on the shoulder and smile. "No, we'd love you to have you with us, if you don't mind walking with the group. Looks like our first stop will be the petting zoo if Jason has his way."

Indeed, the toddler excitedly declared his desire to see the Porgs in the petting zoo after Josh asked. It was a kodak moment, but Jyoti turned back on the group to watch Elizah go in on Jason, criticizing his choice.

The Echani was left cringing. The woman could speak all prim and proper yet possessed the tact of a bone saw. In between verbal jabs, Elizah admitted that she didn't understand children, and at least on that assessment she found some common ground with her dark counterpart.

"It's pretty simple," she began to explain as if talking to a child herself. "Porgs are familiar, and he associates them with a positive memory, so of course he'll want to see more to simulate that experience. Most sentients are creatures of habit, especially as younglings."

From Elizah, she looked over at Scherezade near Josh, who looked and smelled like she had been rolling around in a dumpster. To add insult to injury, she was casually chugging down alcohol like it was still happy hour. The woman wasn't at all what she had been expecting. If that's what she had looked like at the nightclub with Josh, then she had many questions for her friend. (Well many more.)

Growing up in the old Jedi Order, Jyoti had initially thought the Dark Side made people dysfunctional, but now she had started to believe that it was already dysfunctional people attracted to the Dark Side. She and Josh both had their work cut out for them.

"Porgs it is!" she exclaimed loudly, trying to encourage an atmosphere of levity. She settled back next to Allyson, her personal oasis within the motley crew of clashing ideologies and hygiene practices, then waited for Josh and Jason to lead the way.

[member="Samka Derith"] [member="Scherezade deWinter"] [member="Josh DragonsFlame"] [member="Leah Winsclav"] [member="Allyson Locke"]

Objective 1:

There were a couple of unfamiliar faces that joined them, both complete opposites of the other. Allyson watched as Jyoti spoke to another woman who sounded just as prim and proper as the dark sider they had on a leash, but before Allyson could introduce herself to the first new arrival another came through like a wrecking ball. Blinking, Allyson had recognized the woman from the night club on Zeltros. Though the only person that knew she had been on Zeltros that night was Jyoti – so she couldn’t give too much away with her expression.

Allyson once again tried to do the introductions thing, but the woman decided she wanted to drink from her water bag – which smelled just like alcohol. Deciding against it, she would wait for Josh to make introductions. Hearing Jyoti explain children made the Corellian laugh under her breath, the woman made children sounds scientific. Seeing that Jyoti returned beside her, Allyson looked at the Jedi and shook her head. “Only you could make the minds of children sound like a science documentary, but it made complete sense.”

“To the Porgs!” Allyson finally letting that giddiness shew as keeping hidden finally show. A grin spread across her face wider than it had ever been. “I’ve only seen Porgs on tv, this is going to be fun to pet them.” Looking at Elizah, Allyson smirked. “Maybe we’ll find one to sweeten you up.” It was such an odd group of people, but looking back towards Leah, she shrugged and waved the woman over to join the group. “You should join us.” The group seemed to be heading towards the Porgs and the petting zoo, she remained besides Jyoti, staying close to the Echani woman. It was making out to be a good day off.

Ugohr Poof

The Traveling Gungan Salesman
Objective: Menagerie

"Looky! Chickatilis! Sniff, evil chickatili!"

Ugohr was thus petting a chickatili and even putting his webbed hand in front of a black chickatili's nose, in hopes of getting the animal to sniff his hand while smelling the body odors Gungans emit. But he has realized that he mustn't have the chickatili sniff his webbed hand for too long or else there would be consequences: he still managed to get the lagomorph to sniff his hand for about ten seconds before he could move on to the plains area of the zoo. And yet, these were still animals he already saw at some point, either on Naboo or elsewhere: even banthas he had the chance to see around Mos Osnoe when he last went on Tatooine. To say nothing of the bursas or shaaks; last he did see bursas around Rellias, he did see them close by cerrabores. Cerrabores being animals that also lived in Naboo's swamps, much like bursas, while shaaks were more abundant near Moenia than around Rellias. Nevertheless, these two species were from the same planet, he wanted to see animals from other planets, and not simply animals from his own homeworld...

She could smell that stench from a mile out. Leah did not want to be rude to Jyoti's guests, but she would have ended up unloading an entire bottle of perfume in her face, probably throwing in a lighter to burn that hair away too. Stopping the smell from festering. So the noblewoman would hang near Jyoti, arms folded behind her back. She did not appear to be in any rush. However behind all of her outward appearance, her inner self was positively squealing at the opportunity to pet one of those Porgs.

She was going to totally and utterly purchase herself a flock of the damn things, she could just keep cuddling them again and again. They were so damn adorable.

Objective: Menagerie

The words of [member="Samka Derith"] did not escape Josh's notice, and while he did not tell her off like he wanted to, he would turn to look at her with a gentle smile.

"I don't understand children myself" He would admit. "Maybe that's why I don't understand you either."

A cheeky grin crossed the sassing Jedi's face as he would let Jason lead the way. It wasn't long before the appearance of [member="Scherezade deWinter"] was evident as he would greet her with a warm smile. "Hey Scherezade" He greeted as he approached. He didn't shake her hand, or hug her, or touch her in any sense like the others might have expected considering what he'd said to Jyoti about her. Scherezade didn't like touching.

Turning toward Jyoti and the group, he would motion toward her. "This is Scherezade, a friend of mine. Scherezade, meet Master Of The Order [member="Jyoti Nooran"], [member="Allyson Locke"], [member="Leah Winsclav"] and... The small one is Elizah.

And this..." He would trail off as he would motion down toward Jason. "Is my son, Jason."

Ordinarily, Jason would likely be shying away from new people. But he'd just seen the porgs. And the child was shaking in excitement, tugging on his father's hand. "Daddy! Daddy! Porgies!" Jason cried out as he would point toward the porg exhibit. "Porgies, porgies, porgies!"

Josh would laugh in turn and nod his head. "I haven't forgotten" He said, giving Scherezade a smile and a motion to follow as he would let Jason take the lead toward the exhibit.

Cassius smiled to himself as Inaya asked for the thousandth time during their trip to Amar if she could go see the animals. She’d been patient for a twelve-year-old who was still developing after years of servitude, but even Inaya had her limits. Cassius didn’t have to be a Jedi to tell the girl was restless. They were close enough anyways – time to give up the ghost.

“Well, Tee-Four,” Cassius began to flip some switches, putting some mechanisms into motion that would be needed in the next few minutes. “I guess we can’t keep it from her forever.” With one more button pushed, the Stardust Melody continued on its course as Cassius swiveled in his chair and stood. “Come on,” Cassius motioned to Inaya as he walked out of the cockpit, T-4D4 following.

They made their way to the port-side docking entrance, and Cassius opened it to reveal a new creation: the shuttlepod. For a long time, Cassius had been looking for a small enough shuttle that could fit in the docking collar of the Stardust Melody, and he ended up just designing one himself. Named the YT-XE, it was only around four meters long, and only sat three people, but it would be very useful in the future for scouting missions.

Kneeling down so he was eye-level with Inaya, Cassius said, “Alright, here’s the deal. I have to go on a very important mission on Amar. In the meantime, I figured you and Tee-Four could go look at some animals. You have to promise me to be very good though, alright?” He pointed at her to accentuate his words.

This had been the plan all along. Just a few days ago, Cassius had been asked by a conservation group on Amar to investigate some possible poaching on a wildlife reserve separate from the zoo. With his psychometric abilities, he was a good fit for the job. He had a small hope that he could wrap this up quickly and join Inaya and T-4D4 later in the day, but he didn’t want to make a promise he didn’t have a certainty of keeping. Besides, it’d be good for the droid and the girl to bond… as much as droids could bond.
