The Pleasent Ball

Elani giggled softly as one man approached, scaring another away. The humor Elani found in men's egos battling each other for her was quite interesting. Her cold eyes laid upon this Admiral she has yet to have the pleasure of meeting. She smirked at him as she finished her cigarette, crushing the remaining butt in the provided ashtray. "Well, Admiral. Pleasure to meet you. I'm Elani." At that moment, she was already thinking of what she could and would do with him. As an admiral, he was a very experienced man. Experienced men always tasted the best.

She flashed a smile at him, holding her hand out for him to plant a kiss upon.

A server interrupted the two with a silver tray carrying a thin glass of red wine. "The gentleman at the bar wishes for you to have this, ma'am." he stated.

Elani turned her head and spotted exactly which man the server was talking about. She chuckled to herself and sighed. "Tell him I appreciate it." She pulled the glass from the tray and dismissed the server. "Take a seat, Admiral." she told him. She rose the glass to her mouth, pressing her soft, reddened lips tot he glass and sipping some of the wine. She moaned as thee sweet liquid slid across her tongue and down her throat. As she pulled the glass away, she left faint red lipstick on the rim of the glass. She turned her gaze back to the Admiral after this taste.

After being shamed by Cross, he didn't know what to do. He was the Admiral. Vice Admiral still isn't equivalent so he couldn't just smart off and get away with it. Rikki wouldnt want to know hes flirting would she? He forgot about it. The sith only bring suffering anyways. Or he suspected a darksider like her would be sith. Oka washed his face with warm water and took off his robes. He had a white jacket on with golden buttons. White pants as well. Oka walked out of the restroom towards Zatten but it seemed he was already dancing. How could the night get possible worse?

Kadrak took his hand as it was offered, watching Oka leave with a curious look after Cross had gone to remedy the situation. "I think Oka's idea of help and Cross' idea of it are two very different things. There might be some hurt feelings before this is all done and over with. I've always gotten along fine with the Admiral, but these two might have a bit of a rivalry going. Doesn't seem to me that she's the type you'd want to bother with anyhow. Too...serious."
She smiled and shook her head, sidling up closer to the man. "I, however, can't complain at all about my company, when it includes someone as dashing as you." With another teasing smile she took a step out towards the dance floor. "What do you say we go ahead and show the rest of them how it's done, hm?"

"Always the example, eh?"

I hid it, but I was kind of worried about Oka, too. He usually wasn't the type to storm off to the bathroom, or to hide. Even with Cross there, I couldn't see any real reason for Oka's exit. Of course, the Sith Lady was more interested in Cross, but that was just because he wasn't a Jedi or anything. Possibly, I'd be able to remedy the situation later, but there was something up, and I couldn't shake the feeling that Oka had had another reason to be angry than Cross failed wingman-ing.

I looked back down torwards Kadrak, and I smiled.

"Why would I bother with her, when you're here, dancing with me? You know I'm only half Zeltron."

As the blue-ish Epicanthix lady turned back to me, my danger sense suddenly spiked. She was doing something. Something I was subconciously unaware of. Possibly something that Oka had been smart enough to see and leave me to take care of. I took the proferred hand, and touched it to my mouth shortly, before responding.

"Nice to meet you too, I'm sure. Now what exactly caused you to treat my friend, there, so coldly? Might look boring, but he's a bundle of surprises."

I was actively searching the woman's demeanor for any clues as to the use of the Force. Some Sith had a little tic that could tell you easily when they were using mental energy. Most Jedi I'd met had to physically move in some way to activate their powers.

There was something getting my hackles up, but what?

Elani smirked as his lips met the skin of her hand.

"Well, like you said, he's boring.."

She giggled darkly and took another sip of the red wine sent to her by some stranger.

"But an Admiral. Now that piques my interests."

[member="Oka Osaa"] | [member="Cross Ikon"]

"Piques your interests, huh? Now, that's the nicest thing a Sith's ever said about me. But, I believe something's come up. Very sorry, but I have to go."

I drained the glass in front of me, and stood up. I needed to get the hell away from her. There was something going on that I was quite certain would end in bodily harm. Possibly to me. And I don't enjoy bodily harm. I nodded at the Sith Lady, and walked off to the men's room, where I assumed Oka was still trying to pull himself together.

"Oka, you still in here?"

[member="Elani Zambrano"] [member="Kadrak Jalaan"] [member="Oka Osaa"]

Kadrak glanced to where Cross had walked off in the direction Oka had a few minutes previous, presumably to remedy whatever had come up between them. 'Good. I've never seen Oka act like that before. There has to be something else getting too him other than this. He's never been one overly concerned with relationships anyhow.'
She frowned slightly but brushed it off for the moment, returning Zatten's smile. "Oh, I know. You don't strike me as the sort to go running after everything that's caught your eye anyhow, whether it's someone or something else."
She studied him for a moment. "I wouldn't be too worried about Oka. I've known him and Cross for a while, and if they're anything it's close friends. Though, I have to admit, it is odd for him to just walk off like that without another word. Hopefully it was just hurt feelings over all of this, and nothing more."

Oka had walked back in after seeing nothing "fun" was happening. He figured if he stayed in there long enough, the classical music would go. Oka walked over to the window about to grab his sabers with the force out of his ship but Cross walked in. "Yea... sorry for being such an annoyance. I feel clouded when I go to places like this." he said turning around completely at him. "I sense you're nervous. What happened?"

[member="Cross Ikon"] [member="Elani Zambrano"] [member="Kadrak Jalaan"]

"Yeah, I know. I shouldn't worry. Let's just dance for a bit, maybe talk about something else."

I grinned again, and attempted to actually dance. Something I hadn't done since Zeltros... Somehow, I managed not to actually step on Kadrak, but it was a close thing. I still felt a chill from the Sith Lady, which struck me as odd. Usually, Dark presences didn't leave such an imprint on me, as I'm pretty dark, myself. But there was something wrong, and I couldn't place it.

"That ice queen is kind of creepy, though... She's consciously using the Force to create a chill. It's messing with me a little."

[member="Kadrak Jalaan"]

"Your sweet Sith Lady there is doing something. Not sure what, but I felt trapped. She's consciously weaving something around herself with the Force. Even I can feel it."

I pulled out a bottle of cognac, and handed it to Oka.

"Drink with me for a bit. Since Rikki's not here, you're the only one I can sit and talk to. What do you think of that guy who came in with you? He doesn't strike me as Jedi material. Especially not for the Silvers."

"Thanks, I suppose a small drink won't hurt. Wouldn't want to get drunk and get played with." he said pulling off the cap with the force. He didn't have anything close by that could pop it off. "Zatten? He can read your mind sometimes. Only if you're weak, like tarkans. He doesn't usually label people, if he does, there's a good reason. I traveled to Hoth recently... and got two new sabers." he said sipping what seemed to be strong alcohol. He started to say random stuff without detail. He was clouded but the alcohol helped. He sipped more.

Puffing on his cigar Joran watched as both men left the woman alone at the table to go meet each other in the bathroom. Perhaps they came here together or were hoping to leave together. Joran didn’t judge, everyone had their own tastes. Right now Joran’s was a pretty girl abandoned by two inquiring suitors. He grabbed his own glass of wine and made his way through the ever growing crowd toward her table.

“Scared them off huh?” he jested flashing a charismatic smile at the young woman. “Do you mind if I sit?”

"So that's why you don't drink... Makes total sense, now."

I drank deeply, and grinned at Oka.

"You really did want to talk to that lady, didn't you?"

Cross's Gold-skinned Princess
Rikki strode into the room, clad in a silky red gown with no sleeves and a bottom that extended to the floor in a sort of pool around her feet. It was a very well-fitting dress that accentuated her figure and the boldness of the red tattoos that covered her face. She didn't spot Cross immediately and instead began slowly walking about. This is what she got for being late. Having to walk around like a fool to find people.

"Yea... can't trust people even under the best security." he said handing the drink back. "I've had enough.." He thought about the question Cross just asked.

"Kinda, but I believe strongly in the Jedi way. But you know, I'm a rogue too..." he paused. "My life is pretty empty. Always going on another mission or a battle. I don't get to relax like this often. And as you see, with a clouded mind, relaxing probably isn't the best choice."

[member="Cross Ikon"]

"No relaxation, eh? Remind me to bring you back to Lubang next time I go there. Disappear for a week, and you'll feel way better."

Deciding to leave Oka to his now-drunken babble, I looked outside the door of the men's room. And I saw my girlfriend walking around. Go figure. I was going to have some fun now, dammit. Rikki was looking the exact opposite direction from me.

So, I elected to sneak up behind her. Possibly a dumb idea, since she was Force Sensitive, but whatever. My gaudy tuxedo didn't make a sound as I walked slowly up behind Rikki, grabbed her around the waist, and grabbed her left hand.

"Hello, love. Nice of you to drop by."

Seeing that Cross left, he figured it was time to come out too. Oka made it way to the bathroom door and fell down after coming out. His vision was blurry and he started getting angry every step he took. What was going on with him? Probably the drunkenness or the anger he held inside. A man was dancing and bumped into him. Oka let out all his force and the man went flying across the room. "Next time... I'LL KILL YOU." he yelled walking towards the food bar. The security was watching him. Closely.

Cross's Gold-skinned Princess
Rikki could sense Cross coming, so it wasn't so much a surprise as a relief to feel him take her waist and hand. "Sorry for being so late. I just couldn't find the right dress. I'm still not too sure about this one. What do you think?" As she spoke, she twirled out of Cross's arm while still holding his hand. Her skirt billowed and shined like red water around her legs.
[member="Cross Ikon"]

"It's amazing. Red suits you, very much."

I let Rikki spin around one more time, and then I grabbed her other arm. I grinned, and gestured to the dance floor, where the music was still pretty slow.

"Shall we? You can step on my feet all you want."
