The Pleasent Ball

Elani scoffed at the man as he walked away. His claims of her being a Sith were questionable. Not like she was showing any signs of it.

Perhaps he was just afraid of a woman with power. Elani pouted slightly as she was left alone. And then, her admirer from across the floor had joined her. She giggled at him as he mentioned scaring the other men off. "Seems so. Don't ask me how, but men seem to be very intimidated by me."

She shrugged and motioned towards the other seat. "Please, do." She flashed a grin at him and picked up her glass once more. "Thank you for the drink, by the way."

Oka didn't know what's gotten into him. He nearly killed a man. The security almost detained him, and what was next? He made his way over to the food bar and fell over after trying to sit. "Cursed drink." he mumbled getting up and sitting in a chair. The night was still young but was Oka able to handle it?

“some men struggle with the idea of a woman who is both strong and attractive.” he claimed as he took the offered seat. “and your very welcome.” he raised his own glass and took a drink. There certainly was something going on with this young woman. Something about her had him intrigued. Perhaps it was the way she captivated the room while making very little effort to do so. A room filled with affluent and beautiful women dressed in beautiful dresses and every eye focused on her. She handled her attention well enough. Polite words and pretty smiles could take a girl like her far and she seemed to know it.

“Joran Del-Finn. And you are?” he introduced himself

Rik'Tani

Cross's Gold-skinned Princess
Rikki grinned, and pulled Cross out onto the dance floor. The music wasn't incredibly slow, but they could still slow dance to it. "Did I ever tell you how dashing you look in expensive clothing?" She said into his ear.

I grinned, and looked down to lock eyes with Rikki.

"I don't recall you being so fond of feeding my ego. Is it my birthday, or something?"

I winked, and stuck my tongue out.

"Of course, you look way better than I do. I'm just indulging in a horrific little mental image I had."

I leaned down to touch my forehead to Rikki's. Then I saw the still-drunken Oka throw somebody a few feet across the room. And then nearly collapse as he attempted to sit down at the bar.

"Don't look now, but Oka's an angry drunk, I guess."

Cross's Gold-skinned Princess
Rikki chuckled. "Always when we're having fun. Trouble just follows us around like a dog." She murmured. Glancing over at Oka, she sighed. "We'd better calm him down before he tears the place apart." She gave Cross a quick kiss before taking his hand and bringing him with her to the food bar. "Oka, you feeling okay?" She asked.

I followed Rikki by the arm, and grimaced when I saw Oka. Guy was a fucking wreck, just to look at him. I grabbed him by the back of his collar, like a kitten, and turned him, so he faced me.

"Oka... How drunk are you? Throwing people across the room."

I looked up at the bartender.

"Get him a coffee. Something strong."

I put Oka back down on his chair, and glanced at Rikki.

"And here I thought we could drink or something. Clearly, a great deal of optimism on my part."

"The hell I'll drink coffee. Water... water... just water. And I'm fine. The drunk level is about over nine hundred. That is a number right?! " he said standing up heading towards the entrance. "Getting fresh air Admiral." he yelled running towards the entrance. He was all over the place. This started to be a horrible night and now its gonna end a horrible night.

Kadrak smiled and nodded, beginning to dance along with him. The music was still slow enough that a slow dance wouldn't be inappropriate, but she went along with him. "How about how dashing you look in that tuxedo of yours? Or maybe how beautiful you seem to think I am in this dress, though I still prefer a decent pair of pants and a shirt to this. Skirts are out of the picture too, apologies if I got your hopes up. Though I might be persuaded to think differently." She grinned and looked to him.
At the crash from Oka throwing a man across the room she blinked in surprise, pausing in the dance, hand flitting to her side where her blaster would typically be holstered, sighing quietly when she remembered it wasn't there. "Well, it seems like he's had his fun for the night. Now I can see why he doesn't drink." She watched as said man ran out of the doors, glancing to the woman from earlier now, noting the male sitting across from her. "And it seems that ice queen of yours found a friend."

Kyrie Monroe

Huntress Extraordinare!
The doors leading from outside and into the ball room opens once again and enters another figure. Kyrie was dressed in a long black dress that stopped just above her ankles that where concealed by wrapped black high heeled shoes. The plunge trim along the top of her dress was decorated by some form of fur and concealed behind a long black cloak. A formal dress hat sat tilted a bit too once side as her raven black hair flowed out and down to her shoulders. A small smile crosses her dark blood red lips as the campaigned colored eyes watches the others as they began their introductions.

“Thank you.” She aid kindly to the doorman and nods before walking further in with a faint click as her heels strikes the hard smooth stone floor.

"Dammit, Oka."

I rolled my eyes, and looked at Rikki.

"I don't even want to know what happened in his brain tonight. I'm not drunk enough to contemplate drunken Jedi, yet."

I shrugged, and sat down at the bar.

"And it's about damn time I was. Two whiskeys, please."

[member="Rik'Tani"]

I grinned down at Kadrak. It was too bad she didn't wear dresses, because I thought she looked absolutely stunning. But if she didn't like them, then she didn't like them. Oh, well. Better get a good look while she was still dressed like this.

"You look stunning in this dress, Kadrak. But I don't think you have to wear it to be stunning."

I grinned, a bit like a wolf, this time.

"And I don't think you should wear skirts around me, unless you want me to be distracted, thinking of ways to get you out of it."

Oka decided to pick up stuff with the force so he'd be tired but that didn't happen. Instead he passed out. Oka went into Jedi work or what he calls, deep meditation that happens a lot to him. A Jedi master came to him in it and said to be smart and stop being a fool. He woke up ten minutes later normal.

"We might have to test that theory of yours sometime, you know. I can't say that it's impossible for me to be persuaded into wearing another dress or a skirt, if a certain someone asks nicely. And you know, all of this talk and someone might think we're together. Not that I mind the idea, especially since you don't seem to. In fact, you might just earn yourself a kiss, or maybe even me wearing a skirt just for you." Kadrak winked, gently squeezing his hand that she still held. "And you don't have to be dressed like you are for me to think you look positively handsome. Though I can't say I mind the look of you in a tux."
She glanced to the bar and then to him with a smile. "I would be flattered if you'd allow me to buy you a drink. I probably won't be drinking much tonight. Too many people to worry about, and this isn't a cantina with your typical drunks. But, seeing as how you get more sober the more you drink, for you it shouldn't be a problem."

[member="Zatten Black"]

"A reversal, huh? The beautiful lady gets the guy a drink. I won't argue with that."

I winked, and gave a crooked smile.

"I've earned a kiss? Oh goody? And a skirt. I'm perfectly content, then."

Kyrie Monroe

Huntress Extraordinare!
Continues onward over towards the bar. A small sigh would escape from between Kyrie's dark blood red lips as she continues to watch a few of the other attending parties converse. Once arriving, she would smooth out the back of her dress while taking a seat and flashes a small smile towards the bartender. "Just a whiskey on the rocks." she ordered the slid a couple credit chips over towards the tender.

Oka was normal again. He didn't know how though. Deep meditation always got the worst of him. But he didn't care, normal he was again. Upon waking up, he walked back into the ball. He sat down by Cross after making his way to the bar. "I... think I'm fine now. But you never know, the sith always call us Jedi crazy." he joked ordering red wine. Hopefully, he could handle himself. Oka saw another woman a few seats down. He didn't greet her, since his luck with women has always been dry. A few lessons from the Admiral? He joked in his head.

With a smile of her own Kadrak bent as if to straighten the low-rising flats she wore under her dress, coming up with a credit chip in her hand and a smile on her lips. "Now, before you ask, a lady never reveals all of her tricks. Besides, with it being this early, I'm sure you'll get the chance to see a few more. Let's see about getting you that drink, shall we?"
She looked to Zatten with a wink. "If you keep it up, you might get that kiss early. Or two. But you know, now that I get to thinking about it, I'm not too keen on keeping a number on things. This is us we're talking about. Anything could happen, after all." She stood on her tiptoes and pressed a kiss to his cheek, smiling afterwards. "That was just the beginning, I'm afraid. You are stuck with me, you know." Another wink.

[member="Zatten Black"]

"'Stuck' implies lack of intention on my part. I'm certainly not stuck with you. I couldn't think of anywhere I'd rather be. And I'm sure I'll find out where you hid that chip, one way or another."

I winked at Kadrak, and laughed when she stretched up to kiss my cheek. I had basically forgotten to shave for the past couple of days, and it was definitely showing.

"Anything, huh? Another kiss would be nice, for starters. Maybe in the general vicinity of my mouth, next time? I know you can aim better than that."

[member="Kadrak Jalaan"]

Kadrak flashed a grin and shrugged. "Well, I don't reveal my tricks to most people. I suppose I could be persuaded to give it up, especially if the person asking happened to be you. But I was under the impression that you knew plenty of tricks yourself. Certainly you know how simple it is to tuck something away in a shoe, whether it's something as simple as a credit chip or an object of a more dangerous variety. I'd definitely be willing to teach you, however. Doubly so if you ask extra nice." She winked.
"Hmm, well, when you put things that way..." She stood up on her tiptoes again, this time reaching up to gently pull his head down a bit before pressing a firm but soft kiss to his lips, slowly pulling away after a moment with a slow, easy smile. "Now. Was that any better?"
