The Resurrection of the Jedi Council

Hello Everyone!

I'm sure many of you have already noticed (and those who haven't, you know who you are!), there are some changes occurring in the Jedi Order.

In conjunction with the Grandmaster, and following her capture on Manaan, the Jedi Council is being re-established. For more on the IC decisions that are currently being discussed please go to :http://starwarsrp.net/topic/47284-reformation-and-regrouping-jedi-council/

The council that is being established will consist of [member="Aaralyn Rekali"], [member="Corvus Raaf"], [member="Ryan Korr"], [member="Phylis Alince"] and myself.

Know that we are all eager to start working with everyone for the betterment of the Jedi Order and for the defense of the Republic and that our PM boxes are always open!

People shouldn't get too excited about this. This is not a change to the current processes. If a decision would have gone to the GrandMaster then the Council (in her temporary absence) will discuss it. That's what happened before really. Decisions were never taken in isolation - and were, to be honest, few and far between.

So if you did something before as a matter of course, please don't think you suddenly need permission going forward.

I don't think we're trying to reinvent the wheel by any means.

It also opens up RP opportunities for all those involved within the Jedi Order and to those who were led astray and have returned.

*shrugs* I just see more chances for bigger, better stories.

I agree with you 100% and honestly I never noticed we didn't have one. I mean councillors are the most prestigious people and we need them in order to fight all the Voices and Hands of the Dark Lord (Seriously, this guy would be the perfect one man band.) Plus, they are pinnacles of the order and I love it.

Glad to hear such positive comments. The Council is a way of ensuring decisions are made but Kiskla's philosophy (as Corvus sees and repeats it) is that we are and always will be a meritocracy.

For the record - the GrandMaster decided on the composition of the Council in a thread effectively posted before her capture. It's on the Jedi boards.
