"What do you mean, they are not fully autonomous?..." She replied to her droid's analysis of the two faster approching bleeps.
"Are they manned or or they missiles?...come on, answers!...I need answers, TK!" Sure, she had dealt with sith smart missiles before on Alderaan months before to be exact, during the sith attacks on her home world.

Be de beep de beep...it then not only confirmed they were unmanned fighters but their trajectory revealed slight, however minute flight corrections, indicative that they were possibly piloted remotely, for the most part.

"Yea?...Shoot..." Marina increased her speed, keeping well her distance from the two fighters. She were still not ready to punch it...or as some pilots say, 'Putting the hammer down' for she was here for one reason; and that was to help those devastated by these senseless attacks.

"...and the larger vessel?...what of the larger vessel?...how they get launched from that?!..it's smaller than ours for Pete's sake!"

They hadn't apparently. What her sensors first picked up had been the two unmanned ships passing the other vessel just as the Mariner's sensors red flagged the bigger ship. Visually it had appeared like the two smaller fighters had split from the larger. But TK had an acute direct sensor information on the readings, hense its usefulness as an astro-mech droid to a pilot.
So what was the other ship doing following the two smaller fighters? What was it's angle if it wasn't engaging like the other two?

Be de de be do...TK had summed up the fact that the larger trailing ship had to be the manned control ship that coordinated the droid fighters. The most probable sum of the facts were that it was the control ship that remotely operated the fighters.

"Shoot me again..." That's all Marina had to hear, as her hand was ready to slam the so called hammer down on her boosters. And as the gods would have it in an effort to test her steel, the alert of live fire coming from the fighters blared its warning for her to slam that hammer hard.
Only...

...only that at that very instant, a green flag.... no no, two green flags...maybe more had popped up on her HUD and monitors before disappearing again, as she had already passed over that sector doing Mach-5 by then; for Marina had been working, easing her thrusters, holding back fully slamming/engaging her full thrusters. She had only worked it in keeping well ahead of those droid fighters who were in the process of trying to narrow their distance to her.

Be de beep de...TK announced, as it informed her of the life readings they had just passed below.

"Banta fodder!.... I saw that!" She grit her teeth, staying the hammer strike. She reserved herself from laying it down.
"Marked it?...TK, did they get marked?!" She desperately asked as she vectored to her port, rolling to avoid the laser fire.

Tk confirmed it had marked and recorded the coordinates, giving Marina now room to maneuver and possibly ditching these two toys that had been sent over to play with her.
Her current position, as she had attained earlier before the fighters showed up on her HUD, was that she had been near Juniper Canyon...a labyrinth of fissures, caverns and cliffs... if one were looking down from the countless edges of plateaus of the canyon.
She had flown through there before, and with [member="Lady Kay"] no less...or as Marina had permission from the Queen of Commener to call her; Cessy.

"Yes yes, I got them....I see them. As long as we're ahead at this distance, you keep to the override roll thrusters.... you know the extent of my limits, TK.
I point, you roll...or....or whom which ever one gets the need to do first....Arrrg, you know what I mean!...
Now shut up and fly!" Obviously, talking and chewing gum..er, talking and performing evasive maneuvers weren't her stronger points. But she certainly was one hell of a pilot.

"I'm aiming to go back for them, not aiming for a long dance number with these play toys..."

Climbing up the big staircase in one of the bunkers, Lori weaved her way passed through the scores of citizens as they all were heading down to escape the assault from above. But like a fish swimming up river, she was going against the tide.

Before she headed up the stairwell, she had grabbed a satchel and stuffed it full of items from the armoury and infirmary. More than likely they'd all need some warning if the Sith were to come through the tunnels. Sure they had some blast doors to help slow the intruders down. But they needed something more that could cut through the boomings from above.

The higher to the surface that she went, the less people that she saw. By now most had already evacuated Chasin City, the Palace and Senate Hall. Should the shields fall and the enemies find the access points, they needed to be stopped. And what better way to do so than some nasty traps?

Lori worked her way through one of the tunnels and finding a nice fork in it, she plopped down her satchel and started digging through her satchel, pulling out some items including tripwire, a small blowtorch, a bucket of tar, 4 inch wide paintbrush and a box of 2 inch long nails.

This was going to take a while, but it'd be worth it. Her trap was simple to execute. Have 3 tripwires installed along the tunnel within a stride of one another. Paint the ground in tar with nails stuck into it facing upwards. Then two more tripwires were to be installed at waist height, connected to the blowtorch which was facing whomever tripped the wire. In her mind if they didn't trip into the tar from the first three tripwires, the blowtorch would surely cause them to stumble backwards, get caught in the tar and ignite it all.

To ensure that her trap wasn't so easily seen, Lori used her blaster and shot out the lights, bathing the tunnel in darkness once her trap was all set.

The Chasin City that greeted the Padawan as her convoy wound its way through the streets and up towards the shield generator was a far cry from the city that she remembered from her last visit. In the place of laughter and bustling crowds, furtive citizens ducked their head with every blast of the turbolasers striking the shield. gone were the markets and the happy shops where she remembered slipping through the crowd, window shopping as she spent the afternoon teasing [member="Caedyn Arenais"]. The city seemed smaller, lesser for the loss of that happy spark of life which had seemed to infuse it on that day. The walls of the shops, now standing without laughter and people didn't feel so welcoming, cold and constrictive their weight of the fear in the city seemed to press in on the Jedi as she rested her forehead on the window of the truck and sighed.

She'd enjoyed her time here, and the loss of that memory was a painful pill to swallow. She had no doubt that after this, after the Sith grew tired of this posturing and went left the citizenship would return and life would find it's way back. But it wouldn't be the same, not for many years, not until they had exercised the scars and demons left after coming under attack in this way. It was perhaps inevitable, but the melancholy direction of her thoughts led her to think of her friend, wondering what Caedyn would be making of the state of his city now. The boy had seemed so excited, so full of life when they had talked before while he was showing her around. His love of the city clearly visible in his eyes. To see it come to this must have been a big blow to him. Without a doubt, he'd either be here or on his way. Without even thinking about it the girl reached out with the force, frowning as she felt something, a familiar presence in the direction of the palace. She could at least remember that much about hte directions of the city, but...she knew that feeling, she'd felt it before. Someone with a mission, someone set on a task...which in an environment like this with the Sith and their allies haunting the seats could prove to be deadly. The Padawan took a deep breath, tapping the lieutenant on the shoulder. "Tell Master Nooran, I'll join you in a few minutes. I need to check on a friend in the city."

Then she was gone, slipping out of the moving truck, the repulsors in her boots absorbing her impact as she turned to a nearby speeder, fingers deftly bringing it to life as she turned in the direction of the palace, the heads up display on her sunglasses refocussing to set out the path towards the palace that dominated the skyline of Chasin City. She had to at least make sure Caedyn was alright.

stay inside the speeder, guards I want a perimeter set up around this speeder.

Stardust started for the tunnels, she said both sabers into her hand as she came open the entrance and stopped spotting two sith and looked like soldiers. She growled a bit and let them feel her force signature, it was like a dragon that had its hoard attacked and was now furious! She stepped forward once then hit her comm to speak to her allies

we have sith inside the tunnel, repeat with inside the tunnel....I'll deal with the ones I have before

With that she turned her attention to them and thumbed her sabers on, a dazzling black and white flash before them as she looked two each one with a piercing gaze

you have sealed your fate stepping foot within this city, I have no issue with you personally however

She pointed a saber at them

those who dare fly the flag of the soth empire and walk into this city shall be treated the same...no trial for you as your sentence is decided....death

Why that she stepped forward again and started charging for them with a roar

It was unfortunately a little embarrassing that when Caedyn stepped outside of the Palace doors, he realized that the Place had it's own individual shield separate from that of the connected Chasin City. "Bugger" he muttered under his breath, feeling a little frustrated though understanding it. If the City were to fall, the Government may yet survive, though too the Civilians were being moved underground regardless. Still, precautions and all. Commenor wasn't an aggressive world so he supposed it made sense to have back-up plans. Returning to the Palace interior, the young lad would seek out the closest entrance to the underground labyrinth, incidentally though not intentionally bypassing his Mother through an alternative route that was most confusing in all his haste and desperation to get topside once more and make a scene for the bastards breaking his home-world...

"LORI!" his voice suddenly cried out as he found her, already going about her traps and means of making life difficult for any unsuspecting Sith or schutta that wanted to bring harm to them or their people. Moving to embrace her in a tight hug, he was so glad to see her alive and well, at-least for the time being. "Mom's somewhere down here too, I'm so glad you're alright...-I need to get up top and help our troops keep those shields intact...-Dad's also been captured by the Sith Leader; You coming?!" he spoke quickly and without pause as he continued to walk towards the way out. His words were rushed, tone stressed and just as he was about to reach for her arm to pull her along, he suddenly stopped dead in his tracks.

'Who is that?'.

Someone was trying to reach out to him through the Force, a familiar presence though it wasn't his Masters for [member="Asha Hex"] was thankfully nowhere near the world of Commenor nor their neighboring worlds to be engulfed in all of this madness. "Asaraa..." He whispered the name to himself as he realized his new friend and recent peer among the Silver Jedi Order was there somewhere within the City above..."Sorry Sis! I gotta go, stay safe!!" Caedyn had suddenly changed his tone and turned on his heels, moving to run further on through the bunker towards the entrance out into the Capital City. In truth, it was probably better that [member="Loreena Arenais"] stayed back where she could be safe. Caedyn wasn't arrogant or nothing but he was prepared to take on this fight as best he felt he could be, where as she was his Sister and he wanted to protect her, to keep her out of harms way.

The sight of Chasin City remained similar to what he remembered, no broken or burning buildings as of yet, however there was a roof of fire far above that littered their Deflective Shields with the bombardment from ships reigning munitions down upon it in an attempt to break through. The Army that seemed to be attacking them was relentless in this, yet so long as the Shield Generators held, so too would their defenses.

Fear.

It fell off of [member="Lady Kay"] like a rolling fog as his blows slammed down the blades sparking brilliantly as the two colors met. It was almost humorous to see the massive blade collide with her own, its great length provided him with an exceptional amount of reach, its curved nature caused the angle of his strikes to change just enough to throw his enemy off. But Kay was smart, quick, her blocks parried his strike. But just like he had expected her to do she made her break, firing a wrist blaster at him while they were locked in battle. If it were any other enemy he would've needed those precious moments to deflect the bolts giving them only a few more seconds but for someone skilled in the force, it was a massive amount of time more than enough to get some distance between you and your target.

Only he didn't fall for it.

The Lord of Lies didn't block the bolts with his lightsaber and they came right for center mass, only to veer unnaturally around him and collide into the walls of the tunnel they were currently inside. The state of the art magnetic coil system deftly deflected her bolts. The dark side flooded his body and he tapped into the force speeding his run through the tunnels that led to the senate hall. For a man his size the Lord of the Sith was startlingly fast. He was able to keep within a somewhat close distance to Kay as they made their way up and into the back halls of the senate building.

She would find no help here.

[member="Mythos"] had gone through this building with a fine tooth comb clearing out or outright killing anyone that might've been left inside or around it. He was a highly trained, highly skilled ruthless combatant with his path starting under the tutelage of the Queen of Shadows @Darth Ophidia, the covert style of killing came naturally to him and he could tell from the bodies when he first passed through they were no doubt killed by the man's rudis. They were precise, quick blows he didn't intend on wasting any time. As the pair emptied out Kay would find herself in a long, large back hall. Down the long hall to the far left there was a access door that led to the hallway where an exit was. Only something was off, something was wrong.

It was shielded.

The Senate Hall was designed to hold high profile senators and individuals among the Commenori Systems Alliance, and because of this it had many defenses to contain and keep assailants from reaching certain areas to keep the senators safe. These same shields were now still online. In the time since they left the Nerean Crownguard had accessed the security room and were now in complete control of the buildings defenses and shields. Every outside door was sealed, and after they stepped out of the tunnels the door shut behind them and a ray shield activated.

"Did you think that would actually work against me my apprentice, fleeing the scene? No one knows you better than I do. There will be no running. You will face my judgement for your weakness." He said once again activating his lightsaber he began moving towards her. He outstretched his other hand and a destructive blast of crimson lightning tore from his fingertips, the stench of ozone and copper filling the air as it surged towards her. But there would be no reprieve as the Shadow Hand followed right behind it, renewing his vicious assault with the massive blade. The reach he was afforded let him deliver his titanic blows without her having enough reach to strike for him within, not at the distance he chose. He knew his enemy well he trained her, fought her before, he knew in the many sessions of training what she was capable of. In this fight he chose to remain in complete control, to force her on the defensive and batter her down with his greatly superior strength. Every blow was another store of stamina just to throw off, every strike she would defend against costly.

Bringing his legs up onto his chair, Sebastian wrapped his arms around his knees as he watched the scene unfold on the projection. Static busied the communication equipment, muffled by screams and low booms rippling across the front line. The cries of men filled the camp from the relay, shouting desperate orders to their comrades as they were blown to pieces beside one another. Sebastian pulled an arm from around his knees and slid his hand into the pocket of his puffy, military breeches, where he stroked the compass he ritually carried on his person.

Now was not the time for set theory. He shook the images from the aerial footage from his mind and swerved around on his chair. Tapping the console, he sent the the droids out for a further sweep of the Western trench and hooked up their controls to a navigation computer, which took automated shots of the situation on the front line. He felt the light touch of Matsu's hand on his shoulder and winced slightly at the sensation, not that the gesture was not welcomed. He pulled his hand out of his pocket and turned the compass around in his lap, his gaze limpid as he watched the computer screen reflect in surface of the needle.

As Matsu spoke, the orders imprinted on his mind, repeated and analyzed to every point, until he began to formulate the most efficient approach. He would be manning the comms and feeding data to the forces sent out to disable the shield generator, along with Enyo, who would be guarding the fort. Swallowing a gulp, he exchanged a glance with the impressive cyborg and managed a coy smile. His life and the lives of the other operatives were in her hands. When Matsu finished explaining the details of the mission, he looked up at the Sith Lady and nodded.

"Roger, m'lady." With that, Sebastian slid the compass into the pocket of his double-breasted jacket. "I'll start by relaying the coordinates of the Easternmost generators to Section 13." He raised two fingers above his forehead in another mock salute.

Pointing to the terminals on the other side of the room, Sebastian directed the other operatives to their stations. He pulled his headset onto his ears and adjusted the mouthpiece, then organized an encrypted message containing the entrance points beneath the Easternmost shield generator, along with the coordinates where Section 13 would meet Matsu and the Sith Forces. Scrambling the numbers, he rearranged the message into indiscernible characters, which would be unrecognizable to the Commenori sensors. He patched through the signal and received the status alert confirming that Section 13 had received the message.

"Section 13 have received the coordinates, they're on their way to the Easternmost generator via the sewers." Sebastian decrypted the message as the code arrived and read the response aloud. The agents at S13 were destined to meet Matsu and her forces in the sewers. "Contacting General Vexen now." He affirmed. He swiped a window on the screen, then hit a button and patched through the signal to Vexen's channel.

"General Vexen, this is Agent Thel reporting under the command of Matsu Xiangu. She is accompanying a team of Sith Forces to the Easternmost shield generator via a route which I've mapped out through the sewers." Holding the mouthpiece to his lips, Sebastian relayed the information. The crash of shells exploding crowded the static as he listened for the General's voice. "I'm patching through the map." He said as he released the mouthpiece and set his hands on the keys. He brought up the map he had prepared earlier. The route was mapped with a line running from the base to the access point, with the coordinates flashing.

"There are two main access points to the Easternmost generator, one through an old mine shaft and another through the sewers. I deduced the shaft as unable to withstand combat and too deep for the Sith forces to travel through in the amount of time we need for them to reach the generator." The encrypted message traveled over the signal, only to be reorganized upon reaching Vexen's channel. Sebastian patched through the map, which arrived on the communication equipment of both Vexen and his troops.

"Lady Xiangu and the Sith forces will be using the route through the sewers to disable the Easternmost generator. Enyo Typhos will be guarding the base here." There was a pause as Sebastian took a moment to catch his breath and allow Vexen to absorb the information. "Agents from Section 13 will be accompanying Lady Xiangu." He continued.

"General Vexen, we need you to target the Westernmost generator while our forces head East." The message ran across the signal as Sebastian spoke, hoping that the General would be able to hear him amidst the chaos unfolding on the frontline. "I'll be providing intel and logistical support on all fronts, Thel out." The message terminated with a pop of static. With a sigh, Sebastian pushed his headset around his neck and turned to face Matsu. "Message relayed to the General, m'lady." He nodded, then placed the headset back on ears and listened for Vexen's response.

The task ahead of the small mathematician was indeed a challenge, one which he determined to complete at all costs. Should communications go down, the mission would fall into disarray and Sebastian knew that he would answer for any mistakes. There would be no mistakes.

As Enyo left the base, Sebastian deployed an aerial droid to scan the area for any enemy presences. Monitoring the footage from his keyboard, he maneuvered the droid around the outskirts of the city. The sensors picked up on a figure approaching from within the deflector shield. The droid captured footage of the man, which was sent to Sebastian's computer. The network scanned the image for any match among the databases of enemy factions and came up with the profile of a neutral Force-user. Sebastian sat upright and opened Enyo's channel.

"Miss Typhos, enemy presence approaching, looks like a Force-user." Sebastian held the mouthpiece as he spoke, his voice more concerned for the analysts inside the base. He was certain that Enyo could handle herself in combat.

Kay didn't have to look over her shoulder to see if [member="Darth Prazutis"] was chasing after her; she could hear him coming. The sounds of his heavy footfalls echoed in the tunnel like a thunderous heartbeat. No matter which way she turned, or which way she tried to lose him by increasing her speed; he still followed.

The Senate Hall had guards. The Senate Hall provided her with more tools to slow him down. Or even to stop him if she could.

But as she made her way inside, her hope started to fade. The bodies of some of the guards littered the hall. Further ahead on the other side, she saw the glow of the door that was to get her safely inside. Only it was already shut and shielded.

Her pace slowed until she had come to a stop, turning to face the monster behind her. The sound of the tunnel access being cut off by the blast door and shield echoed in the dark hallway. She was trapped. It was like being in his prison all over again.

"So it's personal is it? Did you get into trouble for failing to keep me under your boot?
Or were you just jealous that I could gain so much without you or the skills you forced onto me?"
Yes, she was taunting him now as she reignited her lightsaber. She needed to get some digs into him whenever she could. Afterall, it was only going to get more difficult from here on in.

Most especially if she lost this fight...

Prazutis hit her with his Force lightning, yet the faraday cage within her light armour only dispersed the flow of energy. Still, it shorted out her personal cloaking device making her pop into view. The thing was useless anyways, for it never stopped him from somehow seeing her when it was fully activated.

His strikes with his lightsaber came hard and fast. There was little room to breath as he went on his relentless attack, his blows never wavering in strength. Her former Master was a seasoned warrior, the battles he had fought were probably thousands in number. Yet her pursuits without him standing over her shoulder were political ones, her power gained through respect, contracts and favours. She didn't need to touch on the Force at all, while Prazutis used the Force a lot. It was almost his weakness, which made her wonder if he could fall prey to the Mandalorian cure like so many had during their last Crusade. Wouldn't the Galaxy breathe a sigh of relief if that were to happen?

But she couldn't do anything about that right now. She had to somehow gain an advantage so that she could go on the offensive. Yet Prazutis was relentless, his quick strikes not giving her a single opening. As the blows went on and her blocks became more instinct, her movements guided by the repetitive nature of it, Kay found her opening to try to break the cycle. She gripped onto one of the bodies of the fallen guards with the Force, and sent it flying towards his backside.

Of course that wasn't all that she had in mind for him. It was only an attempt to give her the second that she needed to be able to go onto the offensive.

Munin, as always, was impatient to begin.

They called Vizsla a rabid dog, but in truth Vilaz was far more worthy of the title than Ronan ever had been. His mind briefly returned to the throne room on Mandalore... the wrist rocket that had started it all. So many dead. He had made a peace of sorts with Munin, but sometimes he wondered if that had been the right choice. If it wouldn't have been better to rip his head off the day he came to Ne'tra Fleet.

"We wait for Zambrano to finish playing with his food." Ronan replied as he squinted at the exchange between Arenais, Carnifex and Solaire.

It was a waste of time.

"You won't get anything of value from him, kill him and let's get this over with." The Alor of House Vizsla called on over to the Sith Emperor, before glancing back towards that city beneath them. He was anxious to start and this was only stalling them.

Some might have gasped at the way Vizsla talked in the presence of the Dark Lord. But from day one there had been an understanding between them. Kaine had rescued his daughter from the Netherworld. That had earned him Ronan's.... friendship (if that was a good thing or not was anyone's guess), but he would not be a dog on a leash like so many Mandalorians were in the Mandalorian Empire.

He would kill, destroy, pillage, as long as it helped grow and build House Vizsla.

His terms. His methods.

The grip around his beskad hilt increased as the anticipation rose. The battle had already begun underneath them. Pockets of chaos, fire, explosions. The Commandos of House Vizsla were scattered throughout the various junction points. Supporting and enhancing the assault in their own ways.

Damn it, damn it, damn it.

It had seemed like such a bright idea, to tunnel his way from one underground passage to another, effectively scurrying past the front lines. It had seemed like a bright idea, but the Force-cursed Jedi Master pursuing him seemed to disagree; as did, no doubt, the dead and/or buried alive legionnaires and Sithspawn that had gone with him.

"Master Jedi!" Duck. "I know you want my head, but if you really think about it ..." Face damnably calm, the middle-aged human thrust his hand forward, a blue lightsaber launching towards the young Knight at an incredible speed. With a rush of air, a towering grey shape threw itself before him, tackling the much smaller Jedi even as its life fled its body, its hard duraplast shell pierced with the deadly precision so characteristic of force users.

Rather than valiantly risk his life attempting to strike down the momentarily distracted Jedi, Adrian sprinted down the hallway, not turning when he heard the thud of a body being thrown into the wall. With a flick of his wrists, two thermal detonators were thrown near a supporting section, detonating moments later.

Dusting himself off after ensuring that the massive pile of rubble behind him was sufficiently untraversable, the Corellian smiled briefly, though it quickly turned into a grimace once he realized that he was alone in enemy territory and had no idea where he was going. Damn it all, why did those karking Jedi always have to show up at the worst possible time?

They had been plotting their next strike against the Sith. But as soon as they exited the Transitory Mists at thebehest of the angry Hapan Queen and her aides, they had caught commo chatter. More specific Karren was still patched into the old Jedi Sentinel Channels, and they were awash with this attack. She'd only spoken to Lady Kay several standard days earlier, and her assessment of the galactic situation had been spot on.

Commenor was under attack by the Sith.

So they changed course, and fired up their weapons and shields. The mantra of the Dark Templar ran through every crewmans head, from the lowliest mechanic, to the Power Armored Dark Jedi Knights aboard.

Kill the Sith.

This was their very reason for existence. Fanatics who would sacrifice anything, commit any atrocity, if only to make a single cut upon their sworn enemies.

The Fleet appeared in a blinding flash, real space ripping open, disgorging them in a delta formation with DTS Dark Anvil, her own specialized Flagship at the helm.

"Contact standard twelve o clock bearing."

"Rotate prow down three quarters. Weapons hot. Air Group Commanders stand by with their squadrons. Prepare to scramble."

"Aye Ma'am, moving."

Her eyes cast over the holotank showing the battle in the distance. The Sith fleet had the planet surrounded and besieged. A massive vessel was disgorging wave after wave of fighters. Ships marked UTC and Commenor forces were attempting to punch a gap, trailed by smaller supply fleets. They were ballsy, she had to give them that. She clenched the railing harder, crushing some of it with her power fists servos whining.

"XO set Condition One throughout the Fleet. Commo, patch me through to Jaster. All vessels half burn forwards, follow the lead CSA fleets trajectory."

They slid forwards through the black, mirroring the lead fleet coming down onto the Blockade....

Their arrival was preceded by a brief check courtesy of the local Commenori forces. Thankfully they'd been pre-approved, and the speeder carrying Iakchi and his padawan, along with a few fellow Rangers, was allowed through. Men and women began taking their positions as the Wookiee led his padawan towards their master, quickly receiving their marching orders after arrival.

"You heard the boss lady," he said to [member="Saka Amara"] with a nod. "Into the sewers we go. Let's get some troopers together and grab those pods. Interesting stuff."

He looked over to [member="Charlie Nooran"] and [member="Jarael Belaerys"] as the others that Master Nooran had ordered along with them. "You all ready to take on some Sith? This won't be an easy one, but we'll make them pay for every foot of ground they gain."

The Emperor laughed, mocking and cruel.

"You don't understand, do you Veiere? Fools and dreamers believe that the Force requires balance, that Light and Dark both need to exist in the exact same quantity as the other. The ignorant believe that the Force is the Light alone and that the Dark is an aberration. Both are wrong. The Force is neither Light, Dark, or a balance of both. They fail to comprehend the fundamental nature of the Force, that it is conflict. That a light side and a dark side exist is proof of this." He turned to face the fallen King yet again, both of his thumbs hooked into the crux of the belt that ran the length of the Emperor's waist in a triumphant stance that towered over the smaller man by quite a considerable margin.

"The more who fight, the more innocents-" he almost laughed again, the term innocent was perhaps the greatest oxymoron ever uttered in the history of the galaxy, "who rise up to challenge me and my fellow brethren will only fuel the Force. The more desperate they become the more they lash out in violence, weeding out the weak of heart, of will, and of spirit until only the strong remain."

A small indicator light on the Emperor's wrist-com lit up and began to undulate with increasing intensity, alerting Carnifex in a special code that his Shadow Hand was actively engaged with the Queen of Commenor. He laughed again, "Well now, it looks like Prazutis has cornered the Queen. It shouldn't be long now before she's in our clutches once more, and this time there will be no escape for her." He gestured with his hand, the guard armed with the electrostaff taking up position behind the fallen King.

Alor Vizsla was correct, there was nothing left for the Sith Emperor to gain out of keeping Arenais alive any longer. "Or for you, my friend. This is the end of your captivity; by my right as Sith Emperor of the sovereign Sith Empire, I hereby sentence you to death as an enemy of Imperial order."

The guard prepared to deliver the sentence...

The sudden call out of her name caused her to jump as the sound was greatly amplified. Her smile grew ever so wide as [member="Caedyn Arenais"] ran up to her and embraced her. It felt like FOREVER since she had seen her twin brother last! "Snotface!!" She held onto him tightly, ever so glad that he was okay. It made her wonder if she would be able to feel it if he died. Hopefully that was something that she wouldn't have to experience for some time.

Caedyn gave her the update and she was relieved to hear about their Mom. But the revelation about their Dad caused her to let him go. "Dad's captured?! How?!
I gotta save him!"
But the mention of the generators changed her mind. [member="Veiere Arenais"] wouldn't want her to worry about him. She had to focus on the others hiding below ground.

But no sooner did Cae wish her to join him, that he up and suddenly left! Lori had to yell out after him as she ran to follow. "Stay away from the dark areas in the tunnels. My traps are there! I don't want you to get caught!!" She yanked on his arm to pull him away from taking a wrong turn. And as they reached the surface and came through what appeared to be a celler of one of the restaurants, all the noise of the battle above and around them intensified.

Lori exited the building and looked up in the sky in awe. Or maybe it was shock. Only an energy field kept them safe from destruction. And the bunkers kept the people safe from certain death.

Caedyn had already run off. Only his mention of the generators gave her any idea of where he was headed. She picked up her commlink and put in the channel for the military personnel looking after those inside the bunkers. ~This is Lori Arenais. I'm topside and going to help secure the East Center Shield Generator. I've got some nice surprises waiting for intruders in the tunnels leading to you from this side, so keep everyone away from there! I'll set up more around the generator and move onto the next. I'll be back when I'm done~

~Roger that, Lori.
Hurry and get down here as soon as you're finished.~

~I will if I can!~

~You're a valuable target. I'll send a unit your way and have them meet you at the generator.~

~I don't need babysitters...~

~They are protection,
Princess. This ain't no holo-game.~

~Yeah, yeah...Lori out.~

She shut off her comm and began to run to the generator, clutching her satchel as she did so.

Location: Silver Embassy (Palace District) > Shield Generators
Objective: Protect the Shield Generators

Directly Engaging: [member="Kor Vexen"] and whoever else comes for the shield generators we're guarding.

Now in the speeder on her way to the shield generators, Jyoti leaned back into her seat and closed her eyes, nursing a sheathed sword against the shoulder. She imagined this small bit of respite would be all she would be allowed for a while.

Jarael asked her if they could win - really, if they were going to survive - emanating with fear all the while. Upon closer inspection, she could feel Jarael’s heart full of conflict from past struggles. This was a woman who had led a hard life.

“I won’t lie to you, we face quite the challenge. The Sith have managed to establish a firm foothold planetside, and Chasin is surrounded. However, the defenses of the Commenori on the ground is strong. The Sith don’t have the logistics to maintain a sustained assault, so if we can hold, then we can make it. We also have a strike team on the way, which will help.”

She opened her eyes, now looking at Jarael with a tight smile, touching the Arkanian’s shoulder to instill her with
confidence.
Charlie asked a question about their final destination, which made her smile fade. She had thought she had told her apprentice beforehand.

“We’re heading to one of shield generator stations to defend it against attacks...they're the only thing keeping the city from being glassed.”

At the edges of her mind, she could feel the beginnings of some kind of intrusion. Battle Meditation. She resisted the connection and [SIZE=11pt]backtraced[/SIZE] the source.

It was coming from Josh, cruising alongside her speeder on his bike. She trusted him a lot more than others, but would still refuse his BM. The Echani carried many secrets in her head that she wanted few if any to know, which is why she usually refrained from engaging in any sort of melding. Still, great for anyone else who accepted his gift. Alerted to his power, she could now perceive it like an
ever-growing web, linking the minds Silvers and Commenori alike to boost morale and coordination, something the defenders needed dearly at this important juncture.
A few minutes later, and they were at the station for the power generators. The area was already swarming with soldiers and their vehicles, busy erecting barricades in and around the station’s block.
“Look sharp, it’s showtime people.”

She hopped out of the
[SIZE=11pt]airspeeder[/SIZE] for the main entrance of the station, sword in one hand, and helmet in the other. The Commenori had already been notified of the Silvers’ arrival ahead of time, so she only had to go through a quick check in before she was brought to an officer in the lobby. A thin middle-aged man with salt a pepper hair and a severe expression.

“General Nooran,” he greeted with a nod. “I’m Colonel Califf. We’ve been expecting you.”

“It’s a pleasure. There aren’t many of us at the moment, but I think we can help.”

“Some Jedi are better than no Jedi,” he replied with a small chuckle. “We also have some Forcers of our own.”

“We’ll definitely need them. Where do you need us?”

“Well, the shield is holding [SIZE=11pt]for[/SIZE] now, so we’re good on the surface I think. Our most vulnerable spot would be anything coming from underground. Reports from the front mention the Sithties busting out all sorts of contraptions to get under the city. Now we got motion sensors down in the tunnels and sewers, and emplacements being set up in a block radius, but we could stand to use some more muscle down there. Then I wouldn’t mind having a few of you in the main room for the generators.”

She looked away from Califf for several moments, closing her eyes in concentration. Shatterpoints bloomed all underneath her, confirming the Colonel’s concerns. Farther out she could feel even bigger ones, but she limited her focus to the station. She had one job here and would trust her allies to take care of the rest.

She opened her eyes and looked back on him, nodding. “We should be able to manage that much. Do you mind if I hang out in the command center in the meantime? I have a strike team on the way, and need to finish coordinating with them?”

“Sure, I need to get back to business myself. Thank you, General. Just have the rest of your people come to the lobby, then Captain Thule will get them sorted out on where to go.”

He stepped away, Jyoti noting how he walked with a small limp, then she turned back on the Jedi and Rangers gathering before her.

[SIZE=11pt]Iakchi, Saka, Jarael, and Charlie, I want [/SIZE]you to head underground with two squads and set up up the Casper pods we brought from the Embassy. Those will be useful in case we catch any Sith playing Spelunky. Josh and Asaraa, take the rest of the Rangers to the generator room. For [SIZE=11pt]now[/SIZE] you will be our last line until the strike team gets here.”

She remained in place to answer any questions, but she was getting antsy. All around her, she could feel the Sith and their ilk closing in on the city.

[SIZE=11pt]No matter what what obstacles were thrown up, sooner or later her sword would be put to work.[/SIZE]

There was no Force Bond, no, but the closeness that he had forged with [member="Lady Kay"] over the years had forged something. Something that made him feel as though something about her was amiss. Something horrifically painful, far beyond just the siege of her world. He didn't know what it was, but he had a bad feeling about this. There was... Darkness in what he could sense, but from what? From what was around her? Or from Kay herself? With so much flowing throughout this world, it was difficult to tell, truly. Josh did his best to focus both on the road in front of him on the speeder bike, as well as on maintaining Battle Meditation. The morale of those on the CSA side and for the Silver Jedi would increase, they would find their coordination being ever tighter. A necessary thing in a large-scale battle such as this. Yet despite it, he managed to keep his thoughts - his pain - under close guard. Nothing from him could be felt except for the effects of Battle Meditation. Their opponents too, would feel it's grip. It would de-moralize, and de-stabilize their enemies. Josh was not holding back. Not when they needed to save as many innocent lives as possible.

Josh would dismount the speeder and follow behind [member="Jyoti Nooran"] as she would converse with their allies. He remained quiet, focusing more on keeping Battle Meditation active. Only when she would order for he and [member="Asaraa Vaashe"] to head to the generator room would he nod his head and give a respectful bow. "As you wish, Master Of The Order" He spoke calmly, his eyes a hard steel. "May the Force be with you".

He would motion toward his apprentice, Asaraa, and head for the generator without delay, along with any other remaining Rangers.

The darkness that enveloped his entire world had finally come for Xevek Rakama only a couple of weeks prior, his fading sight in his one remaining eye finally losing its fight as it crumpled beneath the strain of the Dark Side being used so liberally within his person. However, even if now all his eye saw was not even darkness, a state beyond that of a simple absence of light, as a clouded haze occluded the amber iris, the Assassin was yet to be fully blinded. Indeed, since his sight had finally failed, Xevek had found himself seeing more and enjoying what he saw all the more. Before his mind's eye, the Force painted a picture, a scene set by the outline of objects coupled with the married strings of the Force that spoke of futures passed and yet to come, possibilities too numerous to count. The world he now looked out at was a world of beauty for the Iridonian; a world of the Force that was no longer tainted by the ugliness of the physical.

It was through his newfound sight that Xevek was able to navigate the Base with ease, seeing beyond what normal sight would grant him, peering through walls and observing all who moved around him simultaneously - even though more finer details, like writing, were lost upon him. It was also the reason behind his slow pace as his cloaked form navigated with ease around the bodies in his way - the cane he held constantly just missing the feat of those that passed him as he threw away his concern for physical closeness so that a more efficient (if only by moments) path was walked. Instead of just feeling the death and pain that hung heavily within the Force and feeding upon that source of Darkness, Xevek was watching the very threads that wove the tapestry of the Force shiver and twist with the heavy sludge of the Dark Side as it grew in strength around Commenor.

If this was the first time he had ever experienced such an event, Xevek was sure that he would have been overwhelmed by the sites he now could bear witness to without distraction now that the shackles of the eyes were cast away - a limited field of vision, the incapability to see what persons might be beyond walls and the inability to literally see into the Force to name but a few. However, whilst it may have been the first time his body had been struck blind it was not the first time he could remember such an event happening to him. After all, the memories of who he had once been before his death, before he - Xevek - had been born from a phylactery, hung over his mind like a heavy blanket of shadows. In his prior body, he had been struck blind, left to learn how to see as he - Xevek - was now meaning that experience with how jarring the sudden burst of sensory data might be, even from a so-called sixth sense, was all that was stopping him from curling up in a ball with a migraine for other migraines to envy.

However, it was not his new form of sight that busied Xevek's mind as he slowly approached the gathered group of Darkness that he aimed to meet before they left the Base, but, instead, his focus was split on two thoughts (though not split equality). A small part of his focus was devoted to figuring out who he was - Xevek Rakama as he currently was, [member="Darth Lykos"] as he was before his death or an amalgamation of both - as it had been since the memories of the Unseen Shadow had reasserted themselves. But, the majority of his focus was on the orders that he had been informed of Section 13 receiving.

As a member of the Sith Assassins came a certain set of orders, above even those of his admittedly meagre role within the Saraaishash, and, as such, those orders would be carried out sooner than he had planned. His duty was simply, the seizing or execution of sapient resources that would serve to either be a boon to the Empire or would encourage the surrender of Commenor to the Empire. And now, with a group of Sith heading up members of Section 13 and others assaulting the generators of Chasin City's shield, Xevek saw an opportunity to advance his plans by days at the least. A contrast to even a few hours ago when he had thought he'd have to wait out the siege before acting. As such, it was the group that had given the order, who would be leading the assault against the Easternmost generators, that he sought to meet before they wandered too far.

Rounding the corner, robes barely disturbed despite his long - if slightly slowed - strides, Xevek was met with a group of Dark Presences contained within shells of bodies. Cocking his head slightly, an odd sight he was sure considering the bone mask that he wore upon his face still, Xevek slowly categorised those that stood before him to see if they matched against the memories of himself or himself/Lykos. In the end, all but one were unrecognisable, but it was the one that goaded his unseen reaction. Matsu Xiangu was a woman he had rarely interacted with as Darth Lykos, and that he had never interacted with as his current biological shell, but, she was a woman that he respected and, in some form, admired. In his past life, he had once sought to learn from her, to uncover whatever secrets she would allow him to when it came to the field of Sorcery. That avenue had never truly flourished, his death following not too long afterwards if he recalled correctly, and, yet, recognising her was enough to draw a truly wolfish smile to his lips beneath his mask.

Acting carefully and purposefully as part of a small game inspired by his wolfish grin, Xevek executed a bow similar to the one he had used to greet Matsu once, years prior, curious to see if it would be enough to spark a memory or, at the least, a suspicion. In the end, his greeting was nothing more than a small but polite incline of his shoulders, sightless amber eye glaring at the location where he saw the centre of Matsu's Presence within the Force to be, along with a brief utterance of the title Lady Matsu. Following his quiet greeting to Matsu were more silent ones to the people he did not recognise, nothing more than the incline of his shoulders, and further quiet ones to those he did recognise, a very small number of minimal bows and uttered names. Among the latter was the greeting of Khonsu, a warrior who had bested him some time previous in the Tournament held for the Empire's entertainment, and Sebastian.

"If you will pardon the rudeness of my interruption," stepping aside to let one unrecognised individual pass, female from her scent, Xevek approached slowly, his sightless eye peering from one hole in his mask whilst the other served as a pit of shadows, "I could not help but overhearing you plans." Emotionless and stoic, Xevek's voice revealed nothing as he came to a stop a short distance from the others, the apathy that so often clouded his hearts strongly represented in his growled voice. "Would you be willing to accept another body to aid you in the completion of your goals? Lady Matsu, forgive me if I am wrong, but, you seem to be the one corralling this group, your voice the one issuing commands. What say you?"

Veiere's time had come. No longer was there time to plan but that which he was forced to act in order to ensure his and his families survival if he had anything to say in the matter still. While [member="Darth Carnifex"] spoke down to him, he felt the movement close in on his back. Every moment they exchanged words, every minute that the Dark Lord of the Sith spent proudly displaying the fallen King to his brethren hoard, teasing the scene of his home-world in flames...-The longer Veiere had been given to seek an escape, and to find his center within the Force around them.
"By my right as Sith Emperor of the sovereign Sith Empire,
I hereby sentence you to death as an enemy of Imperial order".
The Force surged to Veiere Arenais, sensing the impending blow of the Sith Inquisitor's Electrostaff before it struck. Foresight gave him the opportunity and Veiere's experience and instincts followed through to deliver the rest. Turning and rising to his feet, his hands found the center of the weapon before it could be used against him. Leaning in, his right elbow came to slam against the helmet of the Sith with enough force to stagger, using then all his strength to rip the weapon away from his would-be executioner and bring it to bare in a wide arc across the head, dropping both the staff and the Guardsman to the surface of the observation deck.

Reaching out with all his will-power, his left hand called for the nearest blade of the Emperor's lackeys; the hilt of his enemies Lightsaber being pried from their belt and flying into Veiere's hand with a sudden scream and flare of Crimson Energy, wasting no time in activating the weapon before turning upon Carnifex himself. Djem So. Strike hard, strike fast, strike to kill. He hadn't forgotten their present company, but the Emperor was the priority target there. [member="Koda Fett"], [member="Macharius Solaire"], [member="Ronan Vizsla"] and [member="Atlas Kane"] would no doubt seek to rush him, yet with all his strength and anger, Veiere brought the Lightsaber bearing down upon the Dark Lord with a vertical slash intent on cleaving through his torso.

This was not Carnifex's world to be giving such Orders. It was Veiere's.

"I've no idea, I haven't seen him in forever!" Caedyn replied to his Sister as they both made their way topside. His relationship with Veiere Arenais was estranged at best; his Dad had sent him off to train under [member="Asha Hex"] and the Je'daii Order at the age of twelve and while Caedyn cherished his time with the Je'daii and his Master had become one of the most important people in his life, his Dad's wish to distance himself and his history as a Force User from Caedyn left a lot of questions to be asked. Couple that alongside Veiere's treason against the Systems Alliance and his responsibility for seeing their Family split apart was more than enough to leave a deep resentment in the heart of the boy for all his father done.

By the time the Twins had made it out into fresh air again, their back-up was already waiting for them. The Fringe Unit was part of Commenor's elite, a strike team designed for small, swift and precise objectives where an Army would otherwise call to too much attention. Caedyn hadn't expected them, yet glancing to his Sister, [member="Loreena Arenais"] seemed less surprised. Lurch was their Commanding Officer, a name as ugly as his face as far as Caedyn was concerned, yet it didn't stop the man from being an absolute weapon!

"Your Highness', we've been instructed to escort you both" he informed the Twins just in time for [member="Asaraa Vaashe"] to come into sight; "We don't need it" Caedyn agreed with his Sister on the whole baby-sitting matter, "Move on ahead to protect the Shield Generators, they're more important" Caedyn spoke firmly despite his young age and smaller frame compared to the soldier. For he and his Sister both, this was the first War-Time experience they'd come into; small scale battles were one thing and they'd both seen death before but the complete and utter destruction of their home-world was beyond anything they'd been prepared for.

The Force quivered.

A flurry of movement, actions too quick for the Human eye to perceive, sent the guard sprawling onto the observation deck with a heavy thud and crinkle of broken glass as the guard's faceplate was shattered from the blow. The snap-hiss of a lightsaber soon followed, bathing the entire deck in a haze of crimson light. There was the fallen King, broken free of his restraints and surging through the air to attack the object of his ire, the sole perpetrator of his most recent miseries.

The blade sang through the air and the Emperor simply stood there, watching as it fell towards him as time slowed to move at mere fractions of a second. He raised his hands, fingers held tightly together with his palm thrust outward as if he was moving to catch the blade.

And catch it he did, or at least, he appeared to have caught it.

In reality, the Emperor blocked the blade with his hands which were now visible coated with a sheen of shimmering energy that stopped the weapon dead in its tracks. The fallen King swung again, and the Emperor's hands moved to block it again. Back and forth as Arenais vented out his fury upon the Black Iron Tyrant, but to seemingly no avail as the Emperor seemed content to block each and every futile attack with a frightening degree of casualness.

And he didn't even reach for his own weapon.

The Force was his weapon.

And he bent it to serve him.

A telekinetic repulse followed the last swipe of the fallen King's lightsaber, sending both him and his weapon flying towards the metal railing that encompassed the platform's edge. Then the Emperor's fingers broke rank, curling like gnarled branches towards Arenais as familiar crimson lightning spewed forth from his fingertips to bounce across the metal surface on a direct path towards Veiere.

Towards the edge of the platform.

The Crimson Lightsaber appeared to have little effect against the Dark Lord's power in the Force, [member="Darth Carnifex"] utilizing what Veiere could identify as Tutaminis in order to keep the blade from making physical contact with his target. Several more strikes were made, all of which were once more intercepted by the Emperor's own hands before a concussive wall of energy slammed into Veiere in retaliation, sending him sprawling backwards, rolling once over before coming to a stop just shy of the observation platforms ledge.

A dark and tremendous power flowed around the Sith Lord, followed by an eruption of electricity hurled from his finger-tips. Carnifex was no longer toying with Veiere and the strength behind the blast made that more than evident. Veiere couldn't afford to hold himself back if he were to survive the encounter, and so he lifted the Sith Lightsaber, calling upon the Light of the Force to be his aid, his saving grace.

The surge of electrical energy arced towards Veiere, he of whom sought to apply Tutaminis in cooperation with the Lightsaber itself, the Lightening drawn to the stream of energy emitted from the hilt while the King of Commenor's left hand reached out towards the Emperor, [member="Koda Fett"], [member="Macharius Solaire"], [member="Ronan Vizsla"] and [member="Atlas Kane"]. He too held a great faith in the power of the Force; Carnifex had forced a change in Veiere over the display of power and death he had wrought upon Commenor. Now with what seemed like he had nothing to lose, all of his hope and want to protect his people, his family, came flowing through his arm and igniting a blinding spark from his free hand.

Force Light swept across the entire platform. From below, it would appear as though something of immense power had exploded, yet this light wasn't physical nor destructive to the body; it swept over all who weren't able to protect themselves. Those bathed in the Dark-Side of the Force may have found their connection and strength within such madness temporarily removed of them, yet every ounce of Veiere's strength focused on blinding them all that he might escape with his life...

...And so, he did. Veiere Arenais turned and with the weapon of the Sith still in hand, he threw himself over the side of the observation deck in a desperate bid to come away from this all with his life still intact.
