The War on Hapes (Year Long RP)

The rock Adenn took cover behind rumbled as a spray of blaster bolts hit it, Adenn returned fire with his rippers, hitting nothing but the ground around the commandos "shab," he spat "can't get a shot." He holstered his rippers and took out his railgun and charged it up, when he released the trigger it sent six rods next to the commandos. Taking hin chance to move Adenn ran towards a closer rock, using his jet pack to push him faster, he turned off his jet pack and slid leaving skid marks in the dirt "this isn't worth the pay" Adenn said adjusting his position "just not worth it" Adenn would have left the fight, but with the commandos covering his position he couldn't.

With an ear shattering explosion the right side of the drop-ship was torn away to reveal empty air, most of the occupants managed to grab onto something before they could be flung through the gaping hole, two of the infantrymen were not so lucky though "Sh*t" shouted another trooper who had managed to secure a hold on a handrail as the ship began a tailspin, "my co-pilots gone, I can't stabilize it" shouted the pilot, "Calm down and focus on putting this thing on the ground" said one of the three Sith warriors that occupied the ship, turning to a fellow warrior he began shouting an order "Theron, when we hit the ground I want you on point", "Right, keep the troopers inside of this thing, it should keep then alive long enough for..." Began Theron but the rest was lost to the wind as a second missile crashed into the ship tearing the vehicle in half, the forward portion flew for a few seconds before smashing into a enemy fighter and exploding, luckily Theron was in the rear half which unluckily was heading straight towards the ground, bracing the moment before impact allowed Theron to remain inside of the wreckage, the second one though flung him out of it and onto the hard ground, when he came to a stop he groaned and slowly sat up, looking around he spotted the capital a few miles from his position, sighing he stood up and tested his legs before starting a brisk run to the city while listening through the comms in case any other warrior was stuck out here.

Karking righteous fighter, Miles thought to himself. He had no regard for the safety of the Jedi, his armor appeared sufficient to withstand any damage the pack could have done physically, but if it exploded, then he would have been in trouble, the fuel would have ignited and made his day very bad. Miles was willing to take that chance to stop the Sith. He radioed to the local Republic comm channel hoping it would reach the Jedi, Keep him moving if you can, I am setting traps and explosives along your perimeter, give 'em hell Jedi!

Miles moved about as fast as he could, under the cover of smoke, steam and rain, preparing his traps. He had already laid out a few charges and found a remote turret and synched it to his HUD. Now he was on to a broken speeder, and set a charge on its engine, and taking the few grenades and ammo left in its storage. After he moved to the last remaining AA battery and set the auto-targeting computer to follow the three floating lightsabers, synching it to his HUD he ensured it would only fire if he allowed it. Once he was finished, he moved from the smoke into view of the two Force-users, drew his vibrosword and axe and readied himself for the fight of his life. He would need to utilize the CQC training he had received about facing Jedi/Sith in order to survive.

The battlefield is where the masters are separated from the rank beginners. Daxton sneered as the soldier slipped from view into the clouds of smoke and steam, thinking that would obscure the Sith Master's vision. He didn't even need the advanced optics display on his hud to track down the enemies life signs, his eyes were glowed a sickening green aura as he engaged his Force Sight.

As soon as he began laying down the charges, Daxton laughed in amusement at the pitiful attempt to ensnare him. Did the soldier forget that he was standing in a field of superheated earth, the cooling lava alone would trigger any explosives before they posed a threat to the Sith. Possibly splashing the Republic soldier and burning him badly as well. Well not it mattered, it was his funeral anyway. So Daxton decided to focus on the more immediate threat of the prancing Jedi.

@Miles Varden

Typical of Jedi, they were too arrogant and gullible. Did this adept, this worm think that Daxton was playing by the same rules? Striking all out without probing the defenses was sure fire recipe for disaster as he was about to find out. As the Jedi leaped into the air, activating his blades and engaged in the falling leaf maneuver, Daxton's blades replied by spinning faster in the circular arc, leaving an backtrail image of circles of pure energy, the hilts a blur as they spun faster and faster.

At the height of the arc, Daxton leaped to meet his foe, his hands seemingly unarmed, the armored fingers clench like fists, his three spinning blades accompanying him as he struck, Malice in the lead, followed by Respite and Pride. Just as the blades were all about to intersect, Malice's red blade unexpectedly winked out, the hook hilted handle striking across both the blades of the Jedi, causing them to wink out of existence as the Cortosis interacted with the energy blades. Then a second later the red blade hissed back to life, as it tried to score the Jedi before he could recover from his weapons deactivating. Respite and Pride, struck high and low, the former stabbing at his victim's left shoulder just below where the ball socket was, while the other slashed at his stomach, with the intention of ripping the flesh and spilling his insides across the landscape.

But those were only the feint moves, Daxton's real attack as about to strike as he launched several of his Force Tentacles at his victim. Force Tentacles were the manifestation of Daxton's mastery over Telekinesis, each was a finely tuned, combination of Force Push and Pull, excerted with fine control that it was as if the Sith Lord was wielding an actual physical appendage to do so. Each tentacle was about the size of a ham, and struck with an impact of runaway truck skidding across an ice field. The strikes would be coming from all directions, bashing the Jedi across the back, neck, legs and groin before he knew what had hit him. "And for some reason, I thought you would be smarter. Well goes to show you I could be wrong." Daxton sneered back in retort as he struck. "Seems to me all you got going for you is a motor mouth, you inbreed country pig farmer!"

@Tracyn Ordo

Landing on his feet, Malice and Pride, Red and Blue blades immediately went to his hands as he prepared to finish off the Jedi before he could recover. Unexpectedly something slammed into his head, causing the HUD to jostle and buzz as it tried to readjust. Turning towards the source of the annoyance, Daxton spotted a soldier wielding a smoking rifle.

Most of the damage had been soaked by his personal shield, and the helmet itself was alchemically treated to be even harder than vaulted Mandalorian iron, but it still annoyed the Sith that someone would dare strike at him in such a cowardly fashion. Pointing a hand at the crust of lava near the soldier's position, he used his mastery of telekinesis to rip the crust apart, spraying the area with liquid molten lava in retaliation.

Blessed are the peacemakers
With the blades coming at him, Tracyn simply tossed them aside, letting the hilts fall outwards and to the ground, ready to be re-activated when he landed. The blades coming to his chest and shoulders were grasped in the palm of his crushgaunts, and pushed outward. The blades went away from him, harmlessly. Tracyn rotated his body in an upwards fashion to avoid the last and final blade, and spun his feet to avoid being caught by the blade coming through him. The blade which he couldn't remember the names of went between and skimmed his armor, creating a light scorch mark but nothing more. Tracyn used the fact that Daxton lost focused for a moment to use the force to cast aside the weakened tendrils, due to the tendrils requiring full and massive concentration, something that Bane didn't have the time for now.

Tracyn also took the time to land in front of him, and hold out his palm. Daxton had to focus immensely to bring up the lava from the Earth's surface, just enough for Tracyn to land about two meters in front of him, and pull back his hand, and then release a massive, powerful force burst towards Bane."Eyes on the birdy."Tracyn retorted simply, as the force burst went for the inattentive Daxton Bane. Force bursts were known for their sheer power, and Tracyn didn't use the massive one, he concentrated on the smaller, deadlier form. It hurdled towards Bane's lower sentence mass, upon impact, would cause the most internal bleeding, and carry him the farthest. And due to the fact that Bane was now foolishly putting his effort into making magma come up from the Earth, Tracyn took the rare opportunity to catch a Master slipping, in such the heat of combat.

S O V E R E I G N
Factory Judge
I watched with amazement as my shot hit the man in the head. I knew how to use a gun, and how I could easily use a rifle, but I didn't know that I was that good? I stood there in amazement as the Sith turned towards me. And his hand raised. Before the lava even had reached the surface from the mans power in the force, I could feel the slight rumble in my feet. I started to run. Run towards the Sith, not caring that he was the one causing the attack against me.

I could feel the licking of heat against my feet. and I knew that the soles of my boots might be melted slightly. Even so, I still ran. The jingle of the gladiator rifle in my hands, and the few mags of extra ammo, made a chorus of sounds with every step towards the man. Slowing down slightly I raised the rifle and aimed. At the last second I stopped and aimed a shot to the head once more.

BANG!

Meta had seemed to have arrived late. The fighting had already started, the war and death took away from the peaceful beauty of the planet. That was reason enough for him to be here. It was paramount that the fighting would end before any more than necessary deaths happened. That, not including the Sith of course. Killing any one of them would be doing the Galaxy a favour. However, Meta's thoughts were interrupted by the clashing of blades. The grunts of men in battle and the sensation of battle and conflict running through his connection to the force. Meta sensed two very powerful individuals ahead, he began to increase his pace, before he came to a clearing to find two lone warriors fighting. One clearly a Jedi and another a Sith. This wouldn't be Meta's first time fighting force users. But definitely his first with a lightsaber. He used the force and commanded the weapon to his hand, the blade latched to his hand as if he held a strong magnet. However, this was simply the use of the force. The green blade ignited in his hand, he rushed to the field of battle. Keeping an eye out for any signs of Sith Magic or anything of that sort. He covered half a mile of ground in no more than a minute. Reaching the two contenders of the battle, he stopped a few steps away from both and held his blade in a defensive position.

As the Jedi made his move, so too did Miles. The Jedi jumped up, batted away the floating sabers, landed in front of the Sith and sent out a blast at the stomach of the Sith. Miles used his jump-pack to propel himself at an intercept vector if the Force strike succeeded. Miles planned to strike the Sith with his vibro-weapons. If not, Miles would have another position on the Sith to attack. Miles had registered a few of the charges in his helmet as being critical from the lava river changing course. He set off a few intentionally to avoid chain explosions. Miles steeled his mind to prepare for the engagement he was involved in with the Sith and Jedi. Miles had spent the entire day trying to defend Kilo, but now, he just wanted to destroy this Crimson Cork-head. Miles despised the Sith and all of their 'powers'.

Triggered by the release of the dark side energy, the Orbalisks latching on his body dug in deep and injected more venom into his system, triggering an adrenaline rush as the toxins flowed directly into his bloodstream. Daxton's blade held low and ready close to his body as the soldier charged at him.

Closing the gap was tactically unsound, as this put him within easy reach of a pair of Daxton's tentacles which raced unseen to meet him. As the man raised his rifle to fire, one tentacle grabbed the barrel and yanked it violently to the side, causing the shot to go wild, while the other tentacle wrapped itself around his leg and yanked him off his feet with enough force to send him sprawling on his back against the hot ground.

Gaminara

Senator of Empress Teta
Gaminara Bennett felt a growing unease as she took in the surroundings of her home planet. Due to the thick mist she had troubles with landing her ship on a remotely safe ground and now, as she observed the flying stripes of lava and echoing gunshots, she thought that perhaps it was a mistake to come here. But her home needed her help and the thought was banished from her mind when she heard growing sounds of battle from somewhere near. Determined, she gripped her blaster pistols and run towards the sound.

As she stepped onto the battlefield she saw two men battling with lightsabers and a few others involved in the fight. This wasn't her usual cup of tea but as the Sith threw a soldier to the ground she tightened her jaw and ran towards the fallen man, hoping the menacing Force-user wouldn't pay her any mind. The ground beneath her feet was hot as she reached the soldier's side.

''Are you alright?'' she asked while taking a defensive stance.

Miles felt a mass of pressure and power absolutely pummel his chest, and tossed him like a pebble. He tried to utilize his jump-pack to orient himself but to no avail, instead he tumbled awkwardly to a sliding stop about 10 meters away from the Sith. Managing to maintain hold of his weapons, he rolled to his hands and knees as a woman in exquisite, royal drab ran to him asking if he was alright.

With a winded sound behind his voice Miles replied, I've had worse, but I've had better. What are you doing here? This isn't exactly where you should be right now. As you can tell, it's hit the fan and is all over the place. Miles stood up, brushed the clods of dirt and ash off his armor. He looked down to see one of his shoulder pieces lay on the ground, broken. Along with a long crack running the length of his chest plate. His systems read 80% intact on his HUD and his jump-pack was only slightly dinged. Miles looked to the lady, stay back, it's not safe here. He activated his jump-pack, and launched back towards the fight.

A lit lightsaber in either hand, Daxton stood arrogantly against the blasted landscape. As much as it was tempting to grind his blades into the flesh of his defeated foe, the Sith Lord recognized the presence of other combatants close by. Now that he held two of his blades, there was no need to keep the third blade airborne. Switching it off in midflight, he summoned it back to his belt as he surveyed his surroundings with a wary eye.

Spotting the other Force User waiting in a defensive position, he cracked a smile, as he drew a breath between his parched lips. He was getting tired, but he could still handle himself rather well. Plus the other members of his speeder unit were still mopping up any stranglers on the battlefield. As soon as they were finished they would converge on his position to give him support.

"Seems like not all you Jedi are as dumb as that ox." He said to @Meta, his voice indicating that he was slightly more impressed with him that he had with his recent victim. "Perhaps you will be even smarter and see that there is no way you can win. Steath you blade and back away. There is no need for you to die as well this day. If you leave now, you have my word that I will spare your life. Consider this a gift of one Force User to another." The coyful words seemed rather reasonable, although Daxton still held his blades at the ready to defend himself should the other man prove to be pig headed as the first.
@Meta

Having effectively incapacitated @Zack Danheir, Daxton's HUD flashed a warning as soon as the jetpack wearing soldier entered his threat zone. Maintaining his Vaapad stance, Daxton waited for @[member="Miles Varden"] to enter within striking range. Malice held at the ready to deflect and parry any attacks he might make while his blue tinted blade hissed hungrily, waiting impatiently to strike either at the man's joints or to strike at the backpack itself as he flew by.

He pondered the offer, but he'd never be able to forgive himself if he backed down. "I'd rather be a fool than a coward." He said, defiantly as he held his position. His blade glimmered in the light. Daxton Bane, Meta had heard of Daxton Bane. He knew he was a user of Vapaad, so this would be a one way fight. Meta raised his blade in the form of Djem So, although Daxton had one disadvantage. Vaapad fed off of the opponents darkside, when Meta himself had his darker emotions contained and Vaapad was weak against force attacks. So, if Meta played his cards right. He might survive this encounter, he kept his blade steady and allowed the force to stream through him. He remained steady, his body entered a state of numbness as the force flowed through him. His muscles tense and ready to spring into action.

Miles landed with a thud about 15 meters away from the Sith, He set off a few charges he set up, the shrapnel would spray the area behind the Sith. He decided then to make a move, jumping up and towards the man, he spun, drew a grenade, keeping it clenched in his palm and triggered the remote controls for the AA battery, he tracked himself and fired. The missile fired from its housing unit, screaming up in an intercept course for Miles, but it wouldn't reach him in time, he would be at the Sith when it caught up. At the last second, Miles planed to redirect to the side of the Sith, drop the grenade and the two explosives would take care of the rest. The Jedi who had shown up late would hopefully get to the Sith slowly enough to not be caught in the blast. He simultaneously set off the rigged turret to fire full auto on the Sith's position.

As for any remaining speeders, the Republic troopers had laid out charges on random vectors and when the speeders reached the proximity trigger, soon became balls of slag on the scorched chunk of dirt the area now lay upon. His troopers would fight to the bitter end if needed, Miles was proud, hoping that he would be able to personally congratulate each one of them for their exemplary service and fortitude.

The major advantage of speeders was the fact that their superior speed and maneuverability over other land based targets, that and the fact that they could fire weapons on the fly. A few of them got caught in the blasts, before they began mowing down the survivors that still stood their ground. Their high speed coupled with extreme maneuverabilty made them hard targets to take down.

As the soldier fired a projectile his way, Daxton crossed his blades so that they hissed with malevolent light, and then sent a Force Push wave to deflect the missile towards the location of @Meta. "With allies like that who needs enemies like me?" Daxton quipped as he prepared to deal with their simultaneous attacks.

@[member="Miles Varden"] was armed with a vibroblade and axe, so the only way he could have drawn another weapon was either he spouted a third appendage or he had dropped one of his weapons to do so. Either way, Daxton was more than ready to deal with him once he got into melee range.

In silence, a hooded and masked figure looked down below on the battlefield, it was chaotic, bloody, and ruthless. And of course, at the center of it all was force users, it was always force users. Beside him stood two of his men, one on either side, both carrying Mark I Bolters. With his hands behind his back, all the mastermind behind all the anti-force user uprising in recent years gave a simple nod to both men, who in turn, rushed forward over the cliff edge. As they zoomed towards the ground the flipped themselves around so their feet faced the ground and fired their jetpacks, slowing their descent so that they would land unharmed.

A small smile tugged at Aequalis' face behind his mask. Let us begin He thought to himself as he turned on his heel and walked away from the ledge, while his men both rushed towards the battle, intent on on prying the force users from the surface of the world and bringing complete equality.

Meta dashes out of the way of the rocket, using the force to increase his speed, dodging the rocket with ease. He skidded and went into a crouch as the rocket flew off into the distance and exploded. Then, taking no note of the sith's comment. He locked eyes with two jet pack users coming towards them, and behind that a man on a cliff edge. Then, in that moment he turned his concentration back to the sith; he took a moment to prepare himself to fight whatever was on its way and the sith. Before once again taking the position of Djem So. Raising his blade over his head, he awaited both of his enemies.

The two men only smiled under their helmets, which resembled that of a mandolorians. They raised up the blotters and fired, the two explosive bolts flew towards @[member="Meta "]followed by two others in quick succession. The weapons were designed for the sole purpose of killing force users, and if Meta called on his abilities to try and stop the weaponry, the results would be extremely...explosive. But it was his call, either way he was moving.

Meta quickly took note of the weapons the two jet packing soldiers were using and the ordnance they carried. He used his augmentations to dash to the side of the blasts. Neither of the four of them harming him as they hit the ground near the Sith. Meta took his chance, using the force to pull one of the men from the sky and into the ground. His body went jet pack down, slamming the jet pack into the ground and causing the soldier to bounce helplessly. "Want to take care of these guys first?" He offered the sith, Daxton Bane with a smile behind his mask. His body slanted with his blade in a defensive position.
