The Wrong Side of Heaven - Republic Invasion of Alderaan (Knights, Padawans, NFUs only)

SOUNDTRACK: You’ve Seen The Butcher - Deftones

For the moment it appeared as if the pair nearest to her were locked in battle and Matsu was not one to take the glory away from someone who seemed so confident in obtaining it. Instead she turned to the entrance of that which brought them all ‘together’, keeping an ear open for the action behind her in case the tables started turning as she started towards the opening where Sith poured out and Jedi tried pouring in.

Time to stem the flood.

Her saber skills were not her strong suit though she’d gotten pretty handy using it telekinetically. With another sweep of her eyes over the face of the Temple she gave a flick of her wrist and watched the red streak of light bolt away from her towards one of the giant rounded sculptures adorning the crown of the building. She supposed that the One Sith would not be particularly happy about the use of their hard-won property as a weapon but it already looked a bit worse for wear due to the day’s events – surely they couldn’t be so annoyed!

The saber was flying, speeding through the air above the battle and towards her target when she felt…

(something coming, something coming)

…and turned on the spot, bending backwards just in time to avoid a powerful sideways swipe of a blue lightsaber, close enough for her to feel heat and the rush of air that pulled her hair to the side. She brought her left arm forward so it wouldn’t weigh her backwards and make her lose her balance as she kicked forwards, aiming for the Jedi’s knee – a sharp and completely forward kick that she was hoping would either make him tip to the side or buckle forwards. It was the latter of the two, the Jedi bending forward as his leg kicked backwards, Matsu bringing the weight of her cybernetic arm to bear as she swung up to meet his motion and crack the Jedi in the face, success accompanied by the flight of teeth and blood.

She had just enough time to turn and catch her saber as it swung back to her, flipping it in her grip so it glowed behind her back as she lifted her other hand. Guiding the piece of sculpture she’d cleaved from the building with her saber, she sent it crashing to the ground to slam in to an approaching pack of Jedi warriors, stone flying out in broken bits on impact.

Consume itself without option? For some reason that phrase clung to Sosu clouding his mind. Was the creature trying to say that Sosu would be his own downfall one day? That was insane, though the life he was leading at one point could lead to self destruction. Looking up as the next question came a smile touched his lips. "Of course."

Sosu said simply the words rolling off in a creepy tone his voice harsh and dry. Watching the jedi as she spoke his teeth clenched as she spoke of him as nothing more then a mere savage. His concentration on her cost him dearly as her force push colided with him. Sosu was lifted off his feet with a mighty burst that sent him careening backwards into the forests where his back hit a tree with a loud thud. Sliding to the ground he caught himself spitting out a mouthful of blood. "You're going to pay for that." He grumbled pushing himself back to his feet.

The pain that radiated through Sosu was only a nuissance so he called upon the Force and threw his blue saber forward towards the jedi as a distraction. Then he would call upon it to bolster his body as he ran out of the woods and jumped clean into the air summoning the blade back to himself where he would come down with the curved hilt in a downward strike while keeping the second back for defense.

Her ship popped up again, this time it saw the fight the pilot signaled he was going to fire at the R-10 tank. He moved up quickly and turned to face the tank, he then opened fire at it with all she had. Ion cannons, proton torpedoes, disruptor torpedoes and it`s repeating laser cannons. She could see the ground churn up, as it zero it aim with the repeating laser cannons. The sith truly made a death machine when they made this gunship. Though part of her had enough war already, and she hoped the tank would survive the salvo.

Flint sighed. The Jedi Knight was being punched by [member="Lieutenant Kir"], fired upon with slugthrower by [member="Commander Orin"] and his red armored buddies, shot with laser beams by [member="Elaine Thul"], and challenged to a fight by [member="Salvor Arnex"]. Even with the help of allies ([member="Di Mancini"], [member="Oka Osaa"], [member="Camellia Swift"]), not even the most powerful Jedi could have possibly dodged all those attacks.

His writer sighed too. Being busy with RL during invasions was a downright depressing thing.

A groan of agony escaped Flint as he was punched by the red guard infront of him, in addition to being grabbed in the arm. He flew back from the impact of the punch, and could tell he had broken and fractured bones even before he hit the ground. Upon hitting the ground, the Jedi let out another painful yell. He struggled to get back up, knowing that time was precious for him. Getting back up was an agonizing task however, and he managed to barely sit up before another barrage of attacks came.

The Force warned him a second beforehand, however, that there was still danger headed to him. Upon detecting that slugthrowers were being fired at him, Flint tried to use the Force to change the direction of the slugs that were being fired. It was slightly successful, and he fell back down to the ground when several of the slugs that had been fired dug itself into parts of his shoulders, arm, and stomach.

"Hey, Jedi-dude! Front of the temple with the big red dudes! Duck, man!"

Flint had no idea what that was about, but he really didn't feel the need to duck. He was lying face down on the ground, after all. He wasn't sure if he could get back up anyways. He heard [member="Elaine Thul"]'s ship in the air, and he decided to use that as a weapon. With his unbroken, un-shot arm, Flint tried to use the Force to slam the gunship down onto the ground, right where the red armored bullies were.

Objective: Kick Butt

Bingo. She'd sent the mouthy one careening through the air and right into several trees. Of course he'd left himself open to it by spending so much time conversing with the other one. These guys didn't understand that there was a war going on and they were right in the middle of it. They couldn't just stop and chat with a foe right in front of them. Granted she was a bit of a different foe from the usual because she'd opted not to mess with the one that had actually stopped her from being attacked. That one she was just curious about.

The mouthy one got mouthy again, saying she would pay for what she'd done. Somehow she doubted that fact, but then she wasn't up against the sharpest tool in the shed in this particular case. He might eat people, but he certainly didn't get wiser for it.

The blade came swinging at her, thrown rather well, and she caught it on one of the energy blades. No, they didn't cut clean through like lightsabers did, but they could steal deal with a lightsaber. That's why old master's of the Force had turned to them when they'd got older. Easier to handle a familiar weight. Of course others had used them in replacement of lost lightsabers as well. It did the trick, at least. With the block, she looked back to him and found him skyborn, plunging at her

She was still crouched for movement, so she pushed forward and rolled underneath of him, leaving him to land where she'd just been. As she came back to her crouch, she twisted towards him, and slashed one of her blades at his back. It wouldn't cut through him or kill him, but if it hit, it would certainly leave a nasty mark.

(OOC: Nazo said to keep going for now because he doesn't think Nazo is going to be doing much fighting.)

Her nostrils would quiver at the scent of the young padawan. Her smile would widen as she would continue to take steps forward, her hands hovering over her belly along her noble walk. No weapons appeared to be in her hand, she was just simply.... walking.

"Well... I guess that depends on you." she told him honestly, as those tri-colored feline eyes would peer at him through the dark netting of her veil.

"Why are you here, child?" she asked him, as she began to alter her movements like a predator circling its prey.

Much like the Voxyn off to the left that peered at them both with vibrant green eyes. He was ready to strike, and Cyrena, radiating more force potential than the Padawan, would be the center of his focus.

Oka was busy over the forest when he saw the gunship was going down very slowly. It almost looked like a tractor beam trying to land an aircraft although it could be something else. It could be the force. Oka wondered how this was happening for such a large ship, it must be weights to carry for the one doing it. He had enough time playing around.

He would begin to shoot at the gunship to weaken its defense. Then he would send a missile to make it unstable for the pilot. He would then wait and see what damage he had done. [member="Elaine Thul"]

The young boy's feet would remain firmly planted against the ground as the lady began to stride forward, smiling mischievously as she approached. Tugoro had not made any moves for his lightsaber, for he wanted to resolve this without violence. Most soldiers were patriotic dogs that did not even know the meaning of negotiation, which lead to their deaths most of the time. The youth's Jedi Armor attire would billow slightly in the breeze as it rolled through the forest, hitting the duo gently.

Staring forward, the Padawan's emerald gaze would meet her own, it possessing a plethora of colors. It was really creepy, though beautiful in a strange way. Shaking such thoughts from his mind, the brown haired lad would remind himself that he was going up against a Sith, a Knight at that matter. The force aura she radiated was powerful indeed, Tugoro would have to train more if he was to reach her level. Sure, he was strong, however the Voxyn's attention would be directed onto her for that reason solely.

"It's war," the boy began, speaking in a rather quick and bland fashion. He did not enjoy using the basic tongue a lot, though it was a required skill when you were off Kashyyyk. He wished he had studied it more. "No choice but to be here." The Padawan would finish, his calmed mind already using it's sensing capabilities to feel any potential dangers in the area. It seemed that the duo were only, however if anything were to happen Tugoro would be ready to act.

Objective: Have fun

It wasn't to shocking to see she had blocked the saber throw, what fun would it be to Sosu if she had fallen to something that simple? Though her blades were what interested him as he took in the situation while still airborne. The sound of air whistling by filling his ears while he plummeted back to the ground ready to strike the jedi. He felt the second saber land in his palm and brought it forward where it would be a double downward stike. Though the jedi was obviously skilled as she pushed forward rolling beneath Sosu as he landed in the exact spot she had been, but Sosu wasn't a slouch in that category either. Mainly since he had spent all his time under his master learning nothing but lightsaber forms and how to use them. Using his second lightsaber he spun blocking the jedi's attack. Their blade's met with a clash and the sound of hissing could be heard the longer they stayed in contact. During this time Sosu smiled deactivating his curved hilt saber and shoving it forward Pushing the jedi away from him putting some space between the two.

Sosu had a feeling he would actually enjoy this duel with the jedi. Taking off his robe Sosu dropped the black article of clothing to the ground leaving his upper half exposed therefore removing the article so he could move around easier. Burns evident on his skin among other things such as saber burns and blaster bolt wounds. "Come jedi, let us enjoy this." He said taking the typical Jar'kai form with one blade held before him for offense with the other back for defense.

There was no pause as a single dark robed figure emerged from the crimson armored warriors rifle cradled in his arms. Leveling the weapon, the fallen Jedi pulled the trigger, the slugthrower kicking back against his shoulder as a ball of lead was hurled towards [member="Flint Dexen"]. The flash of the weapon illuminated his face underneath the hood, flashing the scars he'd earned in service of the order he now stood against.

Hopefully the interference of the shot would get the Knight to take his attention off of the gunship above, thus saving the crew and the men behind him. Or the Jedi could die, then lose focus, either worked. Garth liked to end his foes in a more personal fashion, but his time as an insurgent against the Empire taught him to take victories when they presented themselves.

Once again, Melkaroth did not respond, merely choosing to initiate their duel. While Melkaroth had not extensively studied Form V, he did recognize that his opponent was taking a heavy stance, based on brute force. That was good; in a contest of strength vs strength Melkaroth's powerful cybernetic limbs gave him a massive advantage.

Melkaroth began to attack, swinging one blade around in a diagonal slash, which would be immediately followed by a similar strike from the opposite blade should it be blocked.

Through all the commotion, Inferno stepped out from the door on top of a building. He watched as the Republic came back to take the planet from the clutches of the Sith. So far who was winning seemed irrelevant to him. It didn't matter, there would be another day after this, and he would be there too. He wore a black tattered robe, with a hood so deep, that it covered his face in darkness, even so through that darkness was a mask hiding, and shielding his face.

"And so it begins." He whispered too himself. The building was very tall, maybe three stories high. He jumped down from the building, using Telekinesis to slow his fall to a safe thud. Republic troops were all around, facing off against Sith troopers. It was a mess, not the day he liked it. It was so sudden, too quick. The Republic were acting out me anger almost, it seemed. Their prize planet taken, and they wanted it back.
"Sounds like revenge to me."
He whispered to himself.

While Idruin was hauling himself back over the edge, she caught the eye of [member="Menoetius"], caught his uncertainty, mirrored it. She'd trained him, given him his Darth name; they went back a long way, even before the Fringe. Then another Jedi tackled him, and she was back to her own fight, not a little grateful for the respite. She still might end up fighting him, but there were other targets. Ideally, she could wrap this up and take a stab at the milling mass of Acolytes in the temple entrance.

The other two Knights had, it seemed, evaporated, and Ashin couldn't blame them -- they'd taken an awful lot of hits, most from each other. Nothing compared to the tenacity of the kid whose red-hot gravel had just scored parallel lines across her cheek, a kid who was starting to resemble hamburger. Her Force shield took a fraction of a second too long to materialize. In rising, it sheared through the fireballs, and she closed her eyes and threw up her arm against an onslaught of flames. She smelled burnt hair, burnt skin; pain flared through her left forearm, and for a shameful moment she put that pain and indignation and anger into an instinctive counterstrike, linked to her arm coming down within the protection of her raised sabre.

He was getting close; she went for closer. Her mental grip lashed out to grab his neck in a precise blood-choke and drag him onto the most expert Shii-Cho guard in the galaxy. Her blade, upraised between them, flicked down at his right collarbone. She wasn't aiming to kill, just bestow enough peripheral wounds to put him down for the count. If that meant taking a hand, so be it.

"There is always a choice, mon cher," her voice would purr out to him, walking closer to him. Three meters now.

"To live." Her voice would flow with sugary sweetness. "To love." the sway of her hunter's skirt molding to wide hips, where pantaloons would hide under the much lighter skirt for ease of movement. "To kill."

Two meters. He would be able to make out her pale alabaster skin beyond the black veil netting. "What is your choice, mon cher? To fight? Or to stand down?"

Crimson lips would curve, "Tell me... why are here?"

She was hit with a Force push from her opponent, and sent careening backwards. Unlike him, she didn't just fly backwards all willy nilly. When she hit the ground, which hurt, she rolled, but she deployed the hilt of one of her sabers to catch the ground and allow her to flip back to her feet, skidding backwards along the ground in a somewhat half-crouch. Something in her back had popped and a hiss of air escaped her, but she ignored the twinge of pain she felt.

While he took off his top, which she suspected was supposed to intimidate her, she did not remove clothing. Let him continue guessing at who, and what, he was dealing with. Unlike her counterparts, she had not learned to fight after becoming a Jedi. She'd learned to fight almost as soon as she was born. And she was a Firedancer.

She didn't respond to him as she shifted, tucking her right foot against her knee and holding both of her blades full forward. This might seem really odd, but she had a reason for this. Instead of pushing the Sith away from her, the ball of energy formed behind him, and she used it in an attempt to pull him towards her. She was aiming to impale him upon her blades.

The Jedi had thought that physical force that was being incorporated with his saber would overwhelm the Sith opponent; he was wrong. As soon as Hatake stepped forward and positioned his hands high at his head and had his lightsaber in a downward position pointing at his left he could feel the strength of the Sith from blocking his first strike. This made Hatake stumble backwards, losing his balance but he still blocked the next attack positioning his saber in a vertical position.

After regaining balance he positioned himself in the opening Djem So stance and called upon the force to enhance his physical strength. After feeling a boost in his body he then attacked the Sith vertically which in short words was known as the falling avalanche. After the strike his saber trailed behind him and then attacked again by simply slashing horizontally at his torso. The strength between the two duelers would be even but that could easily be changed if either Hatake or his opponent would enhance their strength.

Kian Karr was kneeling in the middle of the clearing, his breath coming in slow and unsteady. He could feel weariness closing in on him. He could hear the battle around him raging on and felt the approach of the voxyn. It wasn't the beasts force signature, that they could hide, but rather it was the subtle thud that it's heavy legs made as they touched down on the ground. Kian knew he should do something, but he couldn't. Weariness and his injuries had left him helpless. Sensing the weakness of its prey, the voxyn prowled closer, walking almost casually toward the Jedi Knight.

Kian braced himself. He couldn't see the creature behind him, but he imagined it was preparing for the pounce. "NOW!" A shout rang out and Kian set into motion, moving so fast he seemed nothing more then a blur. He leapt high into the air, using the force to carry himself up into the trees. The moment his arms touched the branch, he threw himself around to the opposite side of the tree's trunk to shield himself. The ground where he had been sitting erupted in flames and heat as the detonators that had been placed there by the small unit of soldiers with Kian ignited and lit the night sky alight. Immediately blaster fire rained down on the voxyn. The beast roared in protest, amazingly still alive even after the detonators had torn at its flesh. The voxyn reluctantly gave ground as the blaster fire tore at it. Some bounced harmlessly off of his scaly hide, while others bore deep into its flesh.

Within minutes the beast was down and, if it wasn't dead it soon would be. Lifting his hand Kian conjured a whirlwind of force energy and it propelled the poisonous mist away from the soldiers in the area. Many already wore breathers, but he wished to be safe. Dropping down to the forrest floor, Kian turned toward the officer.

"Good idea," Kian said, "using me as bait." Kian inclined his head in respect toward the grizzled man.

"To be honest, I didn't think it would work." The man said and smiled at him.

"Well it did. So let's go kill some more." Kian said and turned away. He had sensed his friend [member="Tugoro Taidarious"]'s crash and was worried for his safety. Heading off toward where he sensed his friend, Kian quickly came to where his friend stood, but he didn't leave the tree-line. He wanted to see what was going on, lifting his hand in signal, the soldiers fell in behind him and took cover. There was a women standing before Tugoro, and from the look of her, she was Sith. Kian's grip on his lightsaber tightened, but he made no move to attack. He wanted to see how things would pan out, and he didn't want to give up the element of surprise he hoped he had until he had too.

Melkaroth raised his saber horizontally above his head and then quickly bought it down to his side, blocking the second strike with his other blade. The strength of his opponent was impressive, and it was clear that overpowering him would be difficult, so Melkaroth changed his strategy. His enemy had been staggered by his first few attacks, so he was clearly channeling the force to increase his powers now. It was a good trick, but not sustainable; Melkaroth's cybernetic limbs did not tire, while he doubted that somebody augmenting their strength to match his own could keep it up for very long. He allowed himself to go on the defensive, blocking and countering when it was necessary to hold his ground, but not attempting to kill his enemy.

Sosu was enjoying the dual a maniac smile on his face. It had been literal decades since he had actually enjoyed himself in a fight. Even more years since he had actually had a challenge. The jedi flew away giving Sosu some breathing room yet he didn't move or rush her standing still in the same spot remaining calm as ever as she regained her compulsure. The surge of force behind Sosu did catch him by surprise. Trying to fight back against it to no avail he went with the flow having the surge of force carry him forward.

Holding each saber in a now reverse grip Sosu brought them together where they crossed into a X before deactivating them and stretching out his arms so they would be within the jedi's swords before reactivating them and spreading his arms wide so that he could split her blades and save himself from being impaled by them. This wasn't it however as he would raise his knee to meet her jaw before raising the other leg and lashing out with a kick to her chest using his vampiric strength.

Maaaaaaaaantoooooroooooooook....

The hissing within the mind of the beast grew ever louder as the Chistori took step after hypnotic step through the forest. The creature's yellow eyes were glazed over, the lights were on, as they say...but...no, wait, there was somebody home...who, are you?

I aaaaaaaam theee wiiiiiill of theee Daaaaaaaaaark Looooooooooooord....

Untrue, you are a parasite of the brain, manipulating this hapless beast. Wait, hold on. Did you just answer the narration, or were you reaffirming for our big purple friend over here? You're in his head, mate, not ours.

Mantorok wasn't meant to be here, his location of defence had been elsewhere, he had stood strong in his crab armour, amphistaff coiled around his arm in wait, pounding upon his own chest, practically salivating for the taste of war. He lived for battle, for bloodshed, to be caught in a whirling maelstrom of blood and limbs. Mantorok was a beast of war.

But it was not to be.

Maaaaaaaantooooooooroooooooookkkkk.....

A haze took over him, and without even knowing it the Sith Knight had began to trundle off into the unknown, his considerable feet not his own. That was before the battle even began and now his great walk had taken him to a destination of interest. Had it been where he was intending to go? You'll never know.

Waaaaaaaaaake uuuuuuuuuuuppp...

He snapped back into life, back into control of himself unknowingly in range of [member="Kian Karr"] and band of merry men, and in his confused state frustration grew. Was he going mad? Surely he was.

“GRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGHHHHHHHH!!!”

Well that's going to get everybody's attention.
