Silara leapt off of her perch beside the Academy wall, her hood falling back to reveal her short blonde hair and bright
green eyes, as she held both of her hands out on either side of her, slightly forwards and away from her, while using her the telekinetic abilities of the force to pull both of her sabers from her waist to her hands, igniting the two immediately as her fingers wrapped around them firmly. One saber was of standard length in the blade, and a bit shorter in the hilt, with an icy blue core, while the other was a clear shoto with a white core and a pinkish-purple hue in the surrounding outline. Making quick work of a few soldiers wielding blasters, her footwork like dancing and her swordplay a rapid exchange of long jabs with her blue saber and quick stabs with her pink shoto. Her combination of Jar'Kai and Makashi gave way to the death of the three nondescript soldiers as she cut them down while deflecting their blaster fire. Not hesitating for a moment, the Vahla-Hapan hybrid quickly dashed across the chaotic battlefront, weaving in and out of debris as she deflected stray blaster-fire and hurled smaller rocks and obstacles out of her way with synchronized movements of her curled fists as she struck out on occasion with her sabers, crushing multiple soldiers and some vehicles as she moved along.

Arriving some ten meters or so from where the [member="[/SIZE][SIZE=12px]Countess of Báthory"] had began her duel with [member="Tugoro Taidarious"],
reached out with the force to sense around her, to feel for her surroundings in such a manner that she had done while observing her master, [member="Darth Veles"], during their training, in which she revealed an inborn talent for using several techniques through the force, though a connection between saber techniques and sword play was never established, she more than planned on making it a part of her own personal combat technique. What she had found was actually mildly amusing to herself. Rather than finding the calm, sedated, and rather bland feeling most Jedi and their contemporaries seemed to harbor through her sensory abilities, what she found instead was an intense distaste and almost a rage that throbbed through the force like ripples in a pond, bringing her attention to [member="Kian Karr"], though she also found herself feeling the distinct presence of yet another Jedi nearby, though she could not quite figure out where they were, possibly being too far away to accurately tell. In either case the Sith apprentice bound out and into the clearing, using the powers of Force Speed to very slightly increase her overall speed and athletics to narrow the gap between her initial location and Kian's, though the tree-shattering roar from [member="Mantorok"] stopped her in her tracks, still a safe distance from the Jedi.

Kir walked over towards the Jedi.

The ship that was thrown at his brothers missed him completely of course, he was several meters away from them. Thus, unhampered he wandered over to the Jedi. Every massive step seemed to thunder and resonate within the courtyard. The duracrete beneath him cracked and broke. He slipped his S-11 from his back and set the rifle to stun.

He knew that it was better to knock the Jedi out of the fight permanently by stunning him, rather than killing him. He knew that the Sith would likely want the man captured for interrogation, or possibly even conversion.

Lieutenant Kir stepped over the broken man, and fired his rifle.

Objective: Win

The Jedi expected his opponent to attack after the two strikes the Hatake sent him. The Sith only began defending against his attacks which was something very unexpected. The Padawan wanted the SIth to attack him so he could counter the attacks of the SIth and use his attacks against him. If the Sith wouldn't attack then Hatake would put him in submission using strength and powerful attacks. He reached out for the Force once again to enhance his physical strength that was already enhanced from his previous attack. Once he felt that boost that meant he had more strength he then attacked with a diagonal upward strike coming from Hatake's left and after that strike he did a horizontal slash at the torso of the sith going from left to right. And to finish his combo he did a vertical strike as he brought back up his lightsaber.

While the strength of Hatake did overpower the strength of the Sith he did felt that his arms began to tire but it would be a while before his arms would be weak from his powerful attacks.

As he ran to the temple, he heard the screams of dying, the yelling of the fighting, and somewhere out there, there was more happening. One could just open up to the force, and feel greater things were at work than just petty battles. Had to jump out of the way of a few shots, block more, and even kill a few Republic Troopers. All this blood shed, and he figured it was better to die for a cause that was lost, then to die for nothing. Finally making it to the straight away of the temple, and seeing that it was in sight. He sprinted to the temple, his lightsaber in hand, and its blood red blade humming in his ear. It was a good sound to hear, a peaceful sound in fact.

When he actually got to the temple entrance, he could already see fighting, and it didnt take a rocket scientist to know that he needed to jump in. He already saw the young woman known as [member="Silara Vantai"] was engaged, and seemed to know what she was doing, as far as he could tell, HE was the one needed something to do.
"So...who thinks they can best me? I'll give you first swing, but make it count!" He called out.

Yusan saw the blade saw the movements and cursed as he jumped out of the way and felt the blade cut into the mask as he ripped it off, screaming as the burn had hit the same burned side of his face from the bomb months ago. Staring at the man with dark, blood red eyes, it was a simple scene of how far Yusan had fallen as he gathered his balance. Now a cut, a scorched cut on his cheek that wasn't deep but the scene was far from the last public appearance of Yusan. His eyes held dark rings, darker than he could ever come to have of a healthy mind, half his face was still scarred by the burns and now held the cut from the saber. His hair had grown out and was a mess, no attempt to keep it rully in the least. He was dead for all intents and purposes as he straightened up and stared at the man. "You want to Kill me, you are going to have to try harder, because i -WONT- Die until she is free from your order." He gripped his saber tighter, his grip on reality slipping once more as his eyes shook and could not remain still, no matter what he did. He would not attack though, not yet, no right now he was pulling the force into him.

Along came a spider, who sat down beside her. Or, in this case, the spider was a black widow named Niamh, who'd positioned herself for two eventualities. Her blades were ready as he flew towards her, intending to spear him through the chest and end the fight then and there. But she knew that wasn't likely to work. The easy things never did, which was why she wasn't truly aiming for it to work at all. It was a ruse, a trick, a trap. Only one motion could have given it away, and that was the movement of her one foot to rest upon her knee.

Her intent had been a well timed kick, but with the change of outcomes came quick adaptation. A penchant for fast thoughts and knowledge of one of the greatest martial arts the galaxy had to offer put her opponent in a bad spot.

When he moved his blades to turn hers aside, she reached by dropping them and bringing her hands inside the gap created by his blades. As his knee rose upward, she pushed off a bit with her one foot, as she was still crouched, and moved the other out to touch onto his rising knee, the positioning of her other foot above her planted foot allowing this. She used his rising motion to propel her gently upwards, and out of range of his second strike, while her hands moved towards his shoulders and she twisted to where she was flipping over him, her head not far from his.

Then her hands slid inward in an attempt to grasp his neck as she used what her Master had taught her to strengthen the muscles in her arms. Using her body as a fulcrum, and the Force assisted strength, she attempted to pull him back up and around, by his head, and fling him across the way at a particularly large tree.

Melkaroth met his enemy's saber attacks with as much strength as his cybernetic limbs could muster, only barely managing to move his saber quickly enough because of its two blades. Their sabers clashed with great flashes of blinding light, with Melkaroth getting pounded again and again by the Jedi's tremendous force. The attacks, however, were breaking with the intricate counters that characterized form V combat; the Jedi was simply battering away at Melkaroth, leaving himself wide open. Holding his saber vertically to block the last strike, Melkaroth locked sabers with his opponent, pushing against his enemy's saber with all his might as it strove ever downwards towards his skull. Just as his arms were about to give way, he sidestepped, putting his saber at an angle and allowing his opponent's saber to slide down his own before swinging the opposing blade inwards and stabbing towards his enemy's chest.

Getting nervous for head on combat, he decides to get a suprise attack on the enemy. Urak stealthily sneaks past the hall they are fighting and flanks around behind the jedi that Atrace is dueling. He then gets out his lightsaber and blaster and sneaks up behind the jedi ready to strike the enemy unaware.

Jedi Archaeologist and Padawan, Ricardt Darkmourne was designated with a surprise attack on the temple. He was accompanied by fellow Jedi, Parmi. The two were responsible for a small contingent of Republic troopers, no more than eight. Two fireteams. Unlike the hundreds of soldiers that clashed in a mighty duel, they would be keeping well in cover and taking what advantage they could. It was an older style of warfare, and much largely ignored by the galactic community. It seemed throwing numbers at enemy fronts was a more acceptable approach to war than actual strategy.

The tunnels were dark, filled with cobwebs and strange flora. What little light came through shafts was questionable, as the Archaeologist was unable to physically identify the source of the illumination, but it was welcome nonetheless. Even from deep below the surface of the earth, the rumble of war could be heard, and its subsequent tremble. It was an obvious choice for him to participate in this, there were few Jedi more knowledgeable of long forgotten ruins than the Jedi Archaeologists.

Days prior to the attack, when they had convened and coordinates their plans, Ricardt had been given unprecedented access to the Temples infrastructure. There was nothing to outright dictate the passages existed, but obvious niches in the rooms caught his attention. Secret passageways that ancient Jedi may once have used to ferry themselves out in the event of an emergency. Now, he was ferrying himself in, and no worse than deep behind enemy lines. There would only be one way of retreat, and his first protocol was securing his entry point. He couldn't risk falling behind to realise his retreat was blocked.

Ricardt looked ahead, his ultraviolet eyesight allowed him to discern that no one had recently been down here, and the cobwebs and dust dictated no one had been down here for many a long year. In a sense, it was a forgotten relic lost in time. The tunnel fascinated him. The stone was roughly hewn and marble pillars held the roof from caving in on him. The pillars themselves had been carved with grace and delicacy, depicting that of animals in a tribal artistic approach.

A staircase began leading upwards, nothing more than the stone from the very earth. Ricardt paused, suddenly meeting a wall that was certainly not a part of the tunnel. It was a complete and utter dead end, or so the eye of the untrained would think so. The Umbaran Jedi squatted there, eyes sweeping across the passage. The two fireteams stood back, blasters raised. Ricardt ran his hand along the surface of the wall, his fingers dug into two cracks, he twisted his wrist. The wall began to groan and open.

Deep in the heart of the temple, a wall slid aside, revealing an ancient passageway. There stood two Jedi, and eight Republic troopers. The troopers opened fire.

As Atrace was about to finish his opponent he noticed in the corner of his eye his brother Urak, was sneaking up on his target Atrace instantly knew that this jedi no longer stood a chance. Atrace knew he had to buy Urak some time to get close to the jedi, he thrust his saber at any possible weakpoint he saw the jedi knew he was going to die to this foe but he wouldnt back down. thats not the jedi way

As Urak was about to pounce on his prey the temple shook as if the entire temple was about to collapse in on itself Atrace looked behind him only to see a jedi and a small band of republic troopers Atrace smirked Ricardt could sense the evil theat filled his foe. "hmmm it seems the jedi are going on the offensive i must say im impressed i didnt expecct a sneak attack from you jedi scum" Atrace scanned the room for weakpoints once he found one hye threw his saber at i tmaking the temple collapse infront of his previous target Atrace knew his new oppionent only as Ricardt Darkmourne he was informed this jedi may be nearby in his mission breifing Atrace gripped his ssaber and ran towards ricardt and his soldiers his crimson saber moving like a dance of death one by one the soldiers fell the blood of the troopers lined the walls making there former green color into a solid red Atrace slashed at ricardts legs "now jedi we fight"

He was perched on a broken pillar above Ricardt and threw it down at him to cause confusion. Urak then jumped down with his lightsaber pointed at the neck of Ricardt in the hopes of getting a fatal hit on the Jedi.

The echani moved out of the way evading Sosu's attacks catching him off guard but as she went up and began to flip over. He did not give her any reprieve instead he dropped both sabers and used the force to slip them into his belt while his arms reached up grabbing onto Niamh's arms and flipped backwards taking away most of the momentum from what was coming next and keeping her from breaking his neck which even then he wouldn't let go holding onto her arms so she would go with him.

The entrance was tight, and only a handful of troopers were able to be cut down. Eight troopers in tight quarters could have easily overwhelmed the target in blaster fire, but they held their hands on the safety, sparing the Sith acolyte. They pulled back, dragging their injured and dead with them to let the Jedi handle the Sith. Ricardt jumped, folded his legs under him as he did so. The crimson blade harmlessly whizzed under him. The Umbaran landed with a thud, taunting his opponent with laughter, "You'll have to do better than that."

Ricardt glanced down to the dropped smoke grenade. Buffs of its foggy mist expelled from the orb. Ricardt could only smirk, for the Umbaran could see in the ultraviolet range, as a natural trait of his species. The smoke would hardly hinder him. He said, "Your eyes will deceive you. You're the only one out of luck." Whilst the two would have their sight impeded by their own doing, Ricardt would not. He activated his emerald lightsaber with a snap-hiss. He was a practitioner of the moderation form, Niman, whilst it had no direct weaknesses, it neither had obvious strengths.

Urak slammed against the ground in front of Ricardt, and even in the increasing cloud of smoke he could still see him clearly. He brought his blade up vertically, deflecting the near-fatal strike to his throat. He held his defence, and focused his mind on Urak before him. He felt out with the Force, and that which permeated from the Sith. He felt it all; Everything was in motion. Blood flowing, muscles tensing, food being disgusted, and atmospheric gases are inhaled and exhaled. He focused on his blood, a Force ability known as Malacia. He attempted to halt it for only a mere second; it would induce a powerful dizziness and nausea in him by turning their equilibrium against him. It could be completely incapacitating, but caused no damage to the body. In some instances, it could make the victim vomit.

Parmi had stalked the tunnels with the Jedi Archaeologist, for who she felt familiarity. Though she didn't know him, his presence in the Light Side of the Force and as a Jedi was a welcoming one. They soon came upon a staircase, keeping behind the Umbaran. She held tight to her Lightsaber Pike, her Masters former weapon. He had perished during the Hapes Incident. A day she wouldn't forget. Ricardt began to dig his fingers into the wall, revealing the secret entrance into the temple. She felt hesitant at first, and curious as to how he had known it so well. Atrace began to cut down the troopers, she ignited only one side of the double-ended pike. The yellow plasma burst to life. She dug in her feet, held back her free hand and thrust it outwards. A powerful burst of the Force was directed towards Atrace, a force push to keep him away from the soldiers. Although she couldn't see with the smoke, her montrals allowed her to feel the vibrations in the air, and thus their movements. She kept the long hilt across her torso, ready to defend herself as she approached her target.

The blades collided and the colors of white and red and created a pinkish color as they interlocked with each other. Hatake was still stronger than the sith and evcen if the sith pushed with his saber towards Hatak'es skull then there would be strong resistance. Then, his opponent side stepped and the blades, still interlocked, slid down. There was nothing that the Jedi could do to avoid the stab but he could divert the blade to another part of his body instead of his chest which would critically injure and, perhaps, death. With a little bit of telekinesis the Jedi redirected the blade towards his left arm and felt the lightsaber going thorugh his arm. It was a burn and a hit that would leave his useless and weak, until he received medical attention or used the force to heal some of the damage.

But, that wasn't all that the Padawan did. He then sent an upward, quick, precise slash at the arm of the sith that was farther away from Hatake.

About 20 minutes after the Jedi-led advance team (Ricardt, Parmi) had entered the tunnel complex to secure the entry into the temple, Uther followed them in with another squad consisting of three four man fire teams, and pair of speeder bikes that had been jerry rigged into mobile turret platforms. It was almost certain that they would be facing Sith in close quarters, so they had equipped accordingly. Including in addition to their normal loadout, everyone had received with repulsor packs affixed to their lower backs for increased mobility, and the gunners in their squad carried sonic beam weapons to counter lightsaber deflection. Then they all carried shields to provide some mobile cover when seizing the temple.

Initially, the mission seemed to be going fine as the advance team was able to enter the complex undetected. His squad maintained radio silence to avoid detection, relying on hand signs as they marched down the tunnel. However, that all went out the window when Uther heard the echoes of blaster fire. Whether by design or accident, they were now fighting. His comm came alive with status reports and screams from the troopers that had accompanied the two Padawans. Drek, they haven't even assembled and they already had casualties on their hands.

"Red Team, this is Blue Team leader." He opened over a secure line. "Moving up time table, two minutes until rendezvous."

Uther jumped on comms to alert the second wave of reinforcements to pick up the pace, then ordered his squad into a sprint to close the distance with the advance team. Even for fit troopers, that was a tall order for the heavily armed soldiers, but the repulsor packs did much to reduce the load. While they were making excellent time, Uther was afraid the troopers under the Padawans' command were going to be wiped out.

Ashin Varanin

Professional Enabler
OOC/ As it's four days since any of my opponents have posted, I'm moving on.

IC/
DESCENDING INTO THE TEMPLE FROM ABOVE THE ENTRANCE

Ashin took stock of her injuries. Minor burns to left arm and face, bruising on her left side where she'd been chucked against a stone wall pretty hard, and a stiffening right wrist that seemed like a sprain. As she descended into the temple, she focused on her limited healing skills. Acarus and the Gen'Dai had fled, and she'd left Idruin behind. Couldn't fault the kid, though; he'd taken as many serious injuries as the other two put together and kept coming.

But everyone had limits.

Her healing arts were the Force equivalent of finger painting. She verified, at least, that she wasn't seriously injured. Sore but functional, tired but not exhausted, she moved deeper into the temple and hung down through a ceiling vent to get the lay of the land in all directions.

The entranceway had become heavily contested since she'd made that first assault, in the time that she'd spent fighting Idruin above the door. She recognized [member="Matsu Xiangu"], but Fringe had a longstanding tradition of assisting both sides in your average war, without hard feelings afterward. Fringers had fought Fringers before.

And this one had something special.

Ashin dropped from the ceiling vent, ten metres behind Xiangu's fight with [member='Memorial']. A solid hit took his mask off, and Ashin smiled faintly. Who'd have thought she'd be Yusan Fenn's port in a storm.

She had little intention of playing fair or honouring a pre-existing duel; this was war, and war had its own rules. Her free hand rose, her gaze bored into the back of Matsu Xiangu's neck, and she put her full strength into a straightforward blood choke. A Force choke worked one way against an equal and another way against an apprentice or a non-Forcer; to do this against Xiangu required her to recognize that her opponent could find a counter within moments, to say nothing of a Knight's natural aura of resistance. Ashin's intention, then, was to put maximum pressure on the carotid in the moment allotted her. Not enough to put Xiangu down, not at all, but perhaps enough to provoke dizziness, confusion, broken concentration.

Amateurs committed massive power to game-changing, battle-ending ultimate moves, and tired themselves out. The experienced understood that attrition was king, that it was better to get in five grazing, transient blows than one solid strike. And she'd been the Dark Lord of the Sith in her day, washed-up has-been though she'd become. With Force Choke, and in other, more specialized ways, she halfway enjoyed that game -- and in this day, that was always something of an unsettling thought.

Urak, being dazed, knew the risk of being in open combat at the moment, he grabbed his flash bomb and threw it at the jedi. Urak, as the opponents were blinded, slunk back into the shadows behind rubble and broken pillars. Now that he was out of sight, he clicked the stealth-field on his belt to turn him practically invisible. The technology on Urak's stealth-field was an advanced sith assassion technology, there was no way the jedi could see him now, despite his earlier vision. Urak kept to the shadows staying out of sight, and silently, but surely, sneaking up on the troopers from behind. As Urak got close, he threw a plasma grenade at the Republic Soldiers, and the explosion was enough to put them to rest. Urak silently crept back into the shadows out of sight.
