VISIONS OF THE PAST (Leori)

[member="Leori Sheltrak"]

"Hmmm let me see." He closes his eyes briefly trying to remember details of the vision. All he got was a flash of a structure. He wasn't even sure if it was related to the vision.

"Not much. I saw .." He says trying to put the image into words. "It was primitive. A hut...maybe. It was in a swamp..misty..warm." He ends with a shrug.

Leori was patient and gentle with Hawk. It wasn’t easy trying to decipher visions after all. This was one of the many times she was thankful that her gift had been with healing and not with seeing. So many unanswered questions would simply cause her to go insane. The Jedi Master also suspected that if Hawk didn’t have answers that he would go mad. But it wasn’t like he could turn off the visions, if he could, perhaps he would have. She wouldn’t make that inquiry however.

When he spoke again, he had a few more clues, but nothing concrete. Still, at the archives that would at least be something to work with. She finished her caf. “Think about it on the way to the archives. Anything gives us a searching point.” With a smile, she got up from the table. Optimistic was too strong a word to use, but she was hopeful at least.

"I will. " he says finishing his breakfast. He place the empy tray on top of the trash bin before they leave. He was quiet as they go along the hall heading toward the archives. His mind kept playing the vision over and over. He was concentrating so hard he almost bumped into a few of the large plants decorating the hall.

"swamp...hut...a cave?" He mutters. "But not a cave. Strong with the dark side."

[member="Hawk Solo"]

"Swamp? Hmm." The Jedi Master paused and considered the planets that she was aware of at least. "Only Dagobah comes to mind immediately. Perhaps we should travel there and consult the archives if we reach another rut?" She tilted her head slightly. "It's worth a shot at least, and would get us moving."

The moment she said Dagobah it clicked. "Yes that the planet." He says with some excitement in his voice. It felt so right to him. "We can take my ship Kamikaze. It fueled and ready to go." Now that they had a planet to go to he wanted to leave immediately.

His mom would take of Maddie. He didn't have to worry about that. He didn't know if Leori had to contact anyone. He really didn't know much about Leori personal life. She could have boyfriend and he wouldn't know it. "If you are ready to leave?"

Leori was pleased that his mood turned around so quickly. It seemed as though he had renewed faith and optimism, which was always refreshing in times like these. "We can go now, yes. Just let me grab my travel bag from my quarters."

She always had a bag by the door, for just such occasions when she had to leave immediately. The Jedi Master led the way back to her quarters, reached in for the bag and was out again in seconds. "Let's go."

Leori accompanied Hawk to his ship, and let him take care of the travels since it was his ship. While he was getting them moving, she sent a message to her husband letting him know their destination. She didn't offer information about her personal life unless people inquired. That was because many Jedi had different views on attachments and relationships and so on.

Hawk nods and leads the way to his ship. It been sometimes since he took Kamikaze out for a spin. He lowers the ramp and walks onboard the ship. He heads to the cockpit to do his preflight checks.

He sits down in the captain chair. His fingers fly across the controls the ship's engines roar to life. He loved that sound. He get clearance from Silver Jedi Port Authority. Kamikaze lifts gracefully off the platform and heads toward space.

Moments later they were in hyperspace heading to Dagobah. "We are on our way." He hopes that he will some answers.

Leori nodded, and meditated for nearly the entire journey to Dagobah. It wasn’t until the ship left hyperspace that she moved from the position she’d maintained throughout the flight. She stretched and went to get something into her body before they landed on Dagobah, where it was unlikely that sustenance would be readily available.

After making the jump to hyperspace, Hawk fell asleep in his cockpit chair. For once he didn't have any visions..he just had pleasant dreams about [member="Leilani Paaie"] and his captain chair. It was only when the ship signal it was time to going out of hyperspace did he wake up. Rubbing the sleep out of his eyes, he pulls the levers that removes them from hyperspace.

The planet Dagobah looms ahead of them. He hopes that this wasn't some wild goose chase. He needed to get some answers. He scans the planet. "Bunch of life forms..no cities. Great." He mutters. The atomsphere seems murky and full of storms. "Buckle up. It about to get bumpy." He says over the intercom as he enters the atomsphere.

Leori had just finished eating and was on her way back to the cockpit when Hawk came over the intercom to let her know it was going to be a rough ride.

Less than a minute later, she took a seat next to him and strapped in. The view was not promising that much was certain....

Hawk tighten his grip on the yoke as the ship bounces around in the atomsphere as they descend. "Hope you didn't have a big breakfast." He comments as the ship lurches to right than left. It was like they were riding on bucking Taun taun. The ship was all over the place.

"Son of..." He says as a lightning bolt hits the ship frying the control panel. "Lost the scope. We are flying blind." He says as tries to manual switch over to secondary power source.

"This is gonna hurt." He tells Leori right before the ship crashes into swampy murky surface.

Leori chuckled, bracing herself on anything she could get her hands on. “Me? A big breakfast. No….”

And right as she finished speaking, a bright flash struck the ship. That couldn’t be a good thing. Blind.

He warned her that the landing was going to hurt, but the descent was already accomplishing that. The ship ultimately crashing into the swamp rattled her brain within her skull a little bit though. Impacting something with her head might have done that too.

She tried to blink and shake it off. It was taking a little longer to do so than she hoped. Could be a mild concussion. “Are you alright, Hawk?”

The Jedi Master tried to stand up but found it a little more difficult. She had to pull herself up and lean for a moment to get her bearings back and to get the spinning and ringing to stop.

The ship hit the bottom of the swampy water. Driving the mud onto the cockpit windows. Kamikaze was buried nose first into the muddy bottom of the swamp. The impact slam Hawk into the console. His chest hit from hitting he steering yoke.

"Yeah I think so." He says getting up. He reaches out to steady Leori. "How about you?"

[member="Leori Sheltrak"]

"Yes let's get out of here." He says. He sniffs the air. He didn't smell any fuel or coolant leakage so he wasn't worried about the ship exploding. He walks ahead of Leori helping her along. Just as he get to cockpit doors, the ship shifts. "Frak." He exclaims. "I think we are sinking."

[member="Hawk Solo"]

Leori was most grateful for the assistance. She was starting to suspect that she might have done some damage to her ear drums since her equilibrium wasn't stable and the ringing hadn't stopped. But, this was neither the time nor the place to try and patch herself up. The ship sinking wasn't going to help any either.

"Well, let's get out first and worry about the ship sinking when we're not inside it."

[member="Leori Sheltrak"]

Hawk frowns slightly. "Ok." He glances back at Leori. She didn't seem to steady on her feet. "Might be faster if I carry you." He goes to pick her. "I'm serious. No protesting."

[member="Hawk Solo"]

Leori blinked when he picked her up. It seemed so sudden, though she knew he'd been speaking. She couldn't protest at the moment anyway. "Okay..." Her eyes closed for a long moment before opening wide again. She needed to stay awake. "I will need to rest and heal before I'll be of any use to you Hawk."

The Jedi wasn't particularly worried about the ship, because she was certain that if they combined their efforts, they could salvage the ship.

[member="Leori Sheltrak"]

"Don't worry about that now." He says as he carried her through the forward compartment. He grabs the first aid kit near the ramp door. The ramp door slides half way open. "Frak." Hawk mutters as he used the force to shove the door the rest of the way.

He jumps down off the ship. Landing into soft mud that goes all the way up to his knees. He wades through the mud over to a small group of trees. The ground looked much firmer over there. Once there he sets Leori on the ground. "How bad are you?"

[member="Hawk Solo"]

Don't worry about that now? His words confused her. As he forced the door open and waded through the muck, she pondered how it was possible for her not to worry now. But she couldn't make any sense of it...

She found herself on solid ground, and shifted herself against a tree. It helped that the ground and tree were solid and not moving, it meant the spinning would pass eventually. Hopefully the ringing too. She could hear Hawk softly, most certainly more muffled than he actually sounded. She focused on his face to try and make out what he was saying. Then she shook her head a little. "I think I'll try a healing trance and try to restore my balance."

It would take time. He would have to keep watch. Hopefully they were alone in the area....
