KAALONIAN STAGING POINT

14%

"DIG GENTLEMEN!! BEFORE EI TAKE YER EYES!!" The Kaalonian commander cracked his whip again and looked to his fellow brethren bellow.

The Kaalonians were going ham on this tunnel, the working warriors and natural burrowers worked with a passion that was behind them. Mostly because they knew if they didn't succeed Dredge would kill them and if they were lucky only them, and if they were really lucky he wouldn't do it himself. It was considered a mercy to be shot in the back of your head by a comrade. But if dredge got a hold of you it was all over. So this was why the Kaalonians began to burrow further and further towards the republic stronghold. They set up bracers and support shafts to help keep the walls from coming down but they were deep enough to be able to work without worrying about smaller ordinance being dropped. But if one of those trees came down it was all over.

TREE ABOVE NORTHEAST BRIDGE. FIRE SUPPORT VONG

"FIRE FIRE FIRE!!" The Vong commander had his men continue to provide fire support against [member="Book"]'s and [member="Kian Karr"]'s position hopefully bring able to put enough ordinance down to remove barricades and disable shields

*THUD*

Yet another salvo of the thud bug launchers came in and smacked against republic lines. Twenty of the launchers going off in the span of a few seconds. The smoke filled the air and it smelled of blood and blaster fire. We all know the taste of blood, the smell of it. From childhood we've experienced it some more traumatic than other but we all know it. The air carried that sweet metallic smell of blood and bullets, it all blended together in a perfume of war. And it was what the Yuuzhan Vong lived for

"RELOAD!! KILL THEM ALL!! KILL EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM!!" The commander screamed and let out a battle cry that rallied the other hundred or so Vong on the trees

DREDGE

The hundred and eight Graug shifted their attention to the two Jedi scum that had imprisoned themselves in a some of light, it was a bad move to say the least. Now all they could do was hold the barrier and wait for help as the Graug put a combined effort into killing them, not to even mention the unholy malevolence that was Dredge. The Graug roared and began to open fire on the Jedi's position. The combined fire of 98 Vengeance blaster rifles roared and poured into the Jedi's shields. It didn't matter how much of a badass you were, when almost a hundred plus rifles were slamming down on a shield it made it a bit difficult to function.

"READY THE MANTICORES!!" A Graug crew chief screamed and a sick cocking sound was heard. They were getting ready to pour semi automatic grenade launchers into their shields.

Dredge stepped forward his demeanor more calm as he was clutching victory in the palms of his hands. He began to step forward and his sword ignited in white hot fire he intended to use to cut through that barrier and end the lives of the Jedi inside with fire that would bubble their fat and crack their skin.

"I told you child, we are beyond strength. You never stood a chance." Dredge said with a wolffish grin underneath his helmet.

He leveled the sword up and pointed it at the barrier, the flames of a pyrokenisis Sith Lord fired from a literal darkside nexus would be more than enough to pierce the already weakening shield.

"Now Die." He said coldly

But before he could pull the metaphorical trigger a blaster bolt flew at him and struck the back of his armor. The kinetic force caused him to throw his right shoulder blade forward and a black scorch mark stained the class ten armor of the former dark lord of the sith empire. Dredge paused for a second and that really pissed him off. Looked back to see [member="T-Eya Carn"] who had fired the shot, the armor did it's job and the hit would bruise and weaken the integrity a bit more but he was very much at peak capacity still.

"You dare?! YOU INSOLENT WORM!!" Dredge roared and a aura of fire jetted off his armor and up a few feet in the air covering him in hot blinding light. And this was where he did something tricky and costly of energy that pumped through his armor and sword. He stood at a side and pointed the blade in his right hand and his open palm at his new attacker.

"DIIIIIEEEEEEE!!!!!!" He bellowed out and fire jetted from both ends of him in streams thicker than a flame thrower and heat that could bubble skin just by standing near it and both those powers went to his two targets.

----------------

Needless to say, Kiyron was very disappointed that the first shot merely pushed Vornskr forwards. The Sith sarlaac spit had far too expensive of a suit of armor. Then he had the nerve to fling his ammunition outwards, many of the pellets striking Vong and Republic trooper alike. That was unfortunate, but far outside his control. He moved on. Vornskr was outside his capability. Especially now that the Southwestern branch had collapsed beneath him. No more troops assaulting from that way.

That Northeast mess though. He frowned at the melee and waves upon waves throwing themselves at the branch. His comms fuzzed again, indicating slicers were at it again. Why did someone not just shoot them already and be done with it?

Berserker Regiment en route. Bringing armor brigade that you wanted but didn't get.

He glowered at his HUD. Of course. The man just had to gloat at how superior his regiment was just because they had bigger guns. And an armored brigade. He hadn't been able to get one of those yet. He was working on that though. His request had been so close to successful until that backstabber claimed they were needed to protect Anaxes. Honestly. How many armor brigades did that planet need? They had armor corps there. Thousands upon thousands of tanks. All he wanted was a few dozen. Was that really too much to ask for? He'd have to cozy up to a few more politicians once this was done.

The comms fizzed again and he waited before sending a reply.

Approach from the North-east. Highest concentration of enemy forces there. Go berserk on them.

"Rogues, push them off the North East branch." He considered. "Or just bring it down with the lot of them." There were allies on there of course. But in a cost-benefit scenario, bringing down the bridge with so many thousands of enemy soldiers and losing some of their own was a necessary sacrifice. Better to lose them than the planet.

The Rogues responded, sweeping the Sith end and middle of the bridge with machine guns and missiles that tore into the Sith troops piling all over each other, and blowing holes in the branch, causing it to begin to creak and sway beneath the weight of all the dead and living.

"Use the Stinger's cannons!"

Throughout the canopy, four hundred Rogues darted to hidden Stinger speeders and sent them into range of the North-East branch, using their light anti-vehicle cannons to pummel the enemy soldiers on the bridge. This bridge may have been for sale, but it had one really high down payment.

Meanwhile, the troops rappelling down to the fortress landed and deployed throughout the stronghold, setting up the Judge machine guns with assault rifle support to gun down the flying pests that had infiltrated the stronghold while others hurried through it, maintaining a barrage of fire at the intruders. Others set themselves up along the wall to continue firing at the forces around and below them.

Ceasing to Scream, Kezeroths eyes glanced at [member="Keira Ticon"] and [member="Seraphina Shel'tah"] once more. He could see the confusion and disbelief on her face, It was odd seeing her here as well and yet as he predicted they now where on kashyyyk. Last time they met he did say they would be again, but so soon?! Her Presence affected his performance in combat, after couple swings Kezeroth would glance over to Keria and Seraphina checking on them both but to others he hoped it looked like he was watching out for his apprentice. Blaster Fire bounced off his chest armor and caught his attention, more wookies and republic troopers gathering about. Combined together their Firing squads targeted the Gen'dai as he took some more swings, Someone gave the order and the chaos commenced. Blaster fire sounded about and flashed toward Kezeroth hitting his armored body all around. Most the bolts of plasma bounced off and dissipated across his armor but the power behind the weapons forced Kezeroth to take some steps back. Dust Stirred making him hard to see and the Blaster Fire ceased.

In the dust and smoke two red eyes glew and Kezeroths voice boomed in a laugh.
" Hahahaha! "

The Dust and smoke cloud explode outward as Kezeroths Foot stomped summoning a strong Force Repulse to the area. Republic Defending forces stumbled and some fell on their back for brief moment, With a smile on his face and his mask slowly folding over the Gen'dai began to use Force pull targeting groups of soldiers to bring in closer. Bone Crusher sounded as Kezeroth swung moderately light causing the pulled bodies to scatter and fly about. Some died on contact and others only suffered broken bones but their was no doubt about it.... Kezeroth was making an impact. (( no pun intended )) ;)

As I rose to my feet I could see the various Jedi masters and Padawans set up against Sith. I moved to a set of cover that some Peacekeepers were hiding behind and said "I need a sitrep now". He gave his men a hand signal and said "Do you want the good news, bad news, or worse news". I scratched my chin for a second and said "All three in that order". He smirked then picked up a nearby stick and started drawing in the sand. He drew a line and three big triangles then he drew a square beside the line. When he finished he said "Good news is that were giving the hell, bad news is that they found away to take over the graug". He pointed at the square and said "Worst news is that our scouts say that a Sith is trying to outflank us and take the pier".

I smiled and said "Is that all".

He looked confused and said "Yes sir"

I stood up and said "Sounds like a cakewalk to me". Then I ran off in the direction towards the west to see about a thousand graug in my way. At the back a female Sith using the force to shield them.

I ignited my lightsaber and said "Yep defiantly a cakewalk". At first I thought to myself am I that cocky then I remembered that i'm just that good.

James was about to jump to another branch when he was tugged from his perched by the Force. He spun in his free fall and landed on his feet. Fine, if he was going to have to fight the man, he'd do so. Activating the lightsaber he had out, the white blade appeared before him, James removed his mask and tossed his robe asside. Revealing beneath the black robes, the assortment of vibroblades and two more lightsabers, one standard size and one shoto. Why would he be carrying a third lightsaber. Unless it wasn't actually a regular lightsaber.

James took up the opening stance of Niman. Blade angled up and out slightly. James stepped forwards and made an upward, diagonal slice from his right to left. Then, James followed with a straight horizontal slash, intending on pushing his opponent back, he stepped forwards with each strike.

Theme: Fear by Disturbed
[media]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Fw8mf8SV50[/media]

Darkness. It was so powerful, so preeminent, that it was visible and palpable, it was tangible, and it smothered the light. The waters that it had consumed, filled, were misted and black, like an undersea tide of black blood that surged from the deep and gathered at her feet. A smile formed, her eyes widened, hands rising, and then her lips parted. "Finis." Came her hoarse whisper, so shrill, so terrible, yet it echoed across the beach, through the grassy hills above, and far into the forests beyond. Like a tectonic shake the sand and water shook, once, twice, and then three times. Eyes closing, she could feel the approaching Republic and Ession troops, the Wookies, the Graug, and the allies of the light. How bright they shone, like the very beacons of the light she shunned, much like the pallor of her flesh, and there would be nothing more delightful than to smother that brightness with an all-consuming darkness. And so she dropped her hands like an orchestral conductor and let loose the horrors of the dark side on Kashyyk. With a deafening roar not unlike the clap of thunder during a hurricane the waves of darkness ripped the water apart an lifted high into the air as a visible storm of hate and negativity, and with it came the metaphorical wind that pushed it into the shore and to the forestry within. There was no escape from its all-consuming reach for its massive form consumed the very connection to the light that the Jedi hung onto so dearly, it whispered words of despair into their ears, and it drove home the ravings of fear to their hearts. This was no mere illusion, this was no mind trick, no mental intrusion, it was the manifestion of the dark side into a visible, palpable, storm that flooded the land like a storm, the waves of darkness, and she was its eye, its voice, for while the Dark Lord still willed, she would carry his hate and his rage into a storm of despair and strike fear into the hearts of man.
30agnxg.jpg
Every word was a whisper, yet a shout and a cry at the same time. Wraith-like in nature it echoed from every direction, inward, outward, and yet from nowhere at all. The height it reached towered high above even the massive trees that the Sith sought to capture, and even the woman's allies were not to be spared from its dark grasp, for she held no prejudice to those that felt her superiority, that knew her taint, and it blotted out the sun as it made its way inland. And so approached the Sith Lord, her footsteps slow and deliberate, resounding through telepathy like a deafening boom. A flick of the woman's wrists and both lightsabers were within the grasp of her hands, ignited and at the ready for combat. Within this darkness she was like an unstoppable fury, and [member="Graxin Rade"] knew this more than anyone else, there was nothing that she would hesitate to destroy while she was focused on the battle ahead, while her hatred still flowed. So calm, so controlled, and yet so absolutely volatile was she, a storm herself. For a moment she paused.

Only a moment.

"Come to me, warriors of the Light. I will show you what true power is, why it is that the darkness cannot be contained - there is no hope for you, no hope for any of you. Run while you can, I will kill you all." Came her hiss. There would be no survivors in her wake, once she had allowed the darkness to spread she would begin her campaign, and then there would be no end in sight - she would cut them down until she was seated on a throne made of their skulls.

Detox.

To be sure, this opponent was unlike anything they'd quite encountered before. They, being Detox and Xenia. A Jedi was unlike other warriors, they were powerful with something almost supernatural. They plunged into combat, not fearing guns and weaponry like others might. Their blades, like swords of light, weapons of relative legend-- at least well known, waved about in what looked like an effortless dance of physical mobility. But this woman, even more so, was different. Her body, like that of a feline, tore itself against the NN-2 droid. It's weight staggered, heavy metals allowing it to counter weight with the ferocious attack while its brethren let loose fire. Xenia's image, as portrayed by Detox's holo-projectors, smirked with an almost gleeful grin and pulled behind cover so as to assimilate her human-like programming; it would be impossible to know if the Jedi had yet foiled their decoy strategy.

Struggling to maintain control over the situation, and all but sacrificing itself to the greater good, Xenia's NN-2 gave one last punch of powerful momentum, slamming the gun against the cat's body in an effort to shake it loose-- only to face a powerful gutting attack from the Jedi's hind legs. Metal shredded with a terrible screeching pitch before the droid fell backwards. Clearly, one of its legs had been all but torn to bits, and it swayed with an uneasy balance-- but these droids were not every droid, they were programmed to think creatively, and Detox was the pioneer of such an ambitious goal. Only pausing momentarily during the woman's reveal and transformation, Detox took note of the now exposed, amber blades. Blasters wouldn't be as effective now.

In one swift motion, the Jedi made her attack, and the downed droid responded, grabbing its weapon and holding it just above its head. There was only a few seconds time to react, but Detox was reliable enough, raising the pistol, taking aim, and firing. Say what you want about droids, but their potential was nearly unlimited when specialized in the proper areas. Calculating, analyzation of factual information, there was nigh a human alive capable of competing with a droid. What Detox saw, therefore, was not a gun raised above another droid's head. Detox saw a damaged piece lethally charged machinery, cracked and ripped open from repetitive atta-- ah, and there it was, the almost fully dislodged blaster pack, hanging over a dripping fuel cell. A single turqoise blue bolt and the entire gun erupted, metal fragmentation tearing through the air in the moments of the Jedi's approach. Needless to say, that droid would also be gone, hit with about the same amount of force as a real grenade at point blank. Dusty smoke and splinters were cast about, clouding photoreceptors. Detox would not have been able to say what happened in the next few moments, though as soon as vision returned, it noted one of the droids lay among a pile of durasteel crates and another desperately searched for anything to load back into its aiming system.

Even Jedi were mortals...

Xenia.

“Does it snow on Hoth?”

She didn't really give a response, but her body language would convey just about as much; if not more. Rolling her head and eyes round in the same direction and sucking a sarcastic giggle down, Xenia's eyes never once left the screen. From where she was, little could be said of Jedi battles and warring droids. Her world was much more moronic at the moment, a never ending rhythm of numbers, symbols, and oddly used letters. Sure, enraged beasts and defensive enemies blurred all around her in all technicality, but she couldn't be tasked with focusing on them and the codex screen. "Yeah, well, just get that access point open. I'm about to blooww yerr miiiind." Ha, just wait.

A joyous release of air popped from her lips as she broke through the first real obstacle of coding a virus. The initial set up of the code itself. Actually defining the program's functions and responsibilities. Naming it, giving it purpose, and breeding it into perfection. The second step would be modifying it to fit whatever access point it would be using, and the third would be to successfully release it. "D-Done, I'm done--!!" she started in a breathless rush, "retrieving code boarding information--!! faster, fasterrr, oh-my-god-go." Banging knuckles against her screen at what might have been a slow loading bar, she did finally make a check of her surroundings. [member="Matsu Xiangu"] was nearing, but she was unable to see anything more before looking back down. Load complete, finally. Slicer Objective(s):
Slicers-- Cryax & Xenia

1. Virus coding. It was only a matter of time before Xenia was able to construct a coded monster virus, built to be launched into Republic command and fry them from the inside, thereby gaining access to previously encrypted, enemy files. Fast fingers continued to pile coded number atop coded number. Such things were rarely very quickly created, relatively speaking, and even after completion it would require an entry point-- one Cryax would have to clear primarily himself.

2. Back door access point. Additionally, it would not be long before [member="Cryax Bane"] ripped through the enemy's cyber defenses, with as much help as Xenia might could offer. And when that time came, they would be granted access to a much more central grouping of networks; with a virus' aid. All the hardwired information. Schematic details, troop layout information, channel access sequences, and pseudo-administrative control over each section.

Not merely as much value held in rank as much as the title having induced the first spot of confidence for Kana to display in a very long time. Perhaps enough to radiate in the way she acted. Confidence, pride and a lust for revenge was not jedilike behaviors but she was willing to shelve the term ‘jedilike’ just this once.

Well, obviously she didn’t but she really, really wanted to.

Gray eyes followed the man intently as he closed the gap once again and she couldn’t help noticing that applying the force to speed yourself up seemed to be one of his favored opening moves. Personally she only had as much of a grasp of it to get out of sticky situations. This felt like such an occasion and Kana readied herself accordingly.

Her saber erupted in a green beam of light. This fight would be different. This time they were both armored. This time her opponent wielded both of his sabers. She grunted in disappointment; a dual-saber combatant. If there ever was something Kana truly despised it was fighting those.

Visible emotions drained to prevent herself from broadcasting too much about what went on in that mind of hers. It was a time for focus, of endurance. The sith lord’s sabers came at her from below and she grabbed her saber in both hands as she quickly proceeded to go for a low block aiming to swat away her opponent’s sabers before backing off to do a repeat-task of the second saber as it reached out for her shoulder.

The overpowering strength behind the strikes as the sabers clashed pinned the form down as the Fifth Form. However, which variant it was escaped her. She had basic training in it, she knew what it was capable of but not much else.

She had to think. Speaking from experience she could safely claim that using the second form when faced against the fifth could be painful since wrists could only cope with so much force on their own. The choice made itself as she held the saber in a horizontal guard across her chest for a second.

A horizontal slash from left to right would find it’s way towards Reverance’s waist in an attempt to cut him in two. Leaving as little room as she could for the counter-attacks that the fifth form relied on she proceeded to go for an overhead slash to cut him down on the vertical befor backing off and entering the same horizontal guard as before.

Her strength was nothing compared to her opponent’s. Letting him tire out felt like the right decision. What was that saying? Endure and overcome? Something like that.

As Armand continued to fight among the Ession Peacekeepers, most of whom looked not much older than eighteen, he made sure to give himself plenty of room so that he didn't unknowingly slice into an ally. The light saber was so much different than the blades he was used to fencing with on Hapes. The power and momentum alone made him feel clumsy and unsure of his footing.
At this point in the battle, he and the Peacekeepers were covered in sand and blood. As a Vong warrior rushed up and cut a Peacekeeper cleanly through in a diagonal motion, the body crumpling before him, Armand rushed up to the vile creature, with both hands on the hilt of the lightsaber and swung into the warrior. His saber bounced right off the Vonduun crab armor and Armand hit the ground with a thud. As the Vong jumped up and nearly crushed Armand, the creature was shot in the armpit, right into the gills by the arrows of an enormous Wookie who was nearby. The Vong fell writhing in silent pain. The wookie rushed up and kicked off the Vong's helmet and the Hapan padawan who had scrambled to his feet, drove the lightsaber right into the Vong's head and into the sandy ground below. Both of them were sprayed with its black blood.

Suddenly, he could feel a new dark pulse like an undercurrent through the battle, shaking the ground and drumming in his ears. This pulse was extremely strong, in fact so strong that the drumming became a deafening roar in his ears. It drowned out the sounds of the battle around him. The dark command to surrender and kneel moved through his being and turned his stomach so that he almost buckled to his knees and vomited on the battlefield. But he grit his teeth and focused his mind on anything else but whatever was penetrating his being with its pure evil.

Flint was a tad bit late to the party as usual. He had ventured out of the stronghold hours before the invasion had begun, and had been scouting the nearby area when the One Sith forces arrived. Since then, Flint had attempted to communicate with his fellow Republic combatants back in the stronghold to get the latest information on where he could be of use. However, his comlink wasn't working for some reason, and he wondered if the enemy forces had done something to deliberately disrupt the Republic's communication in the area. ([member="Cryax Bane"])

For a moment, the Jedi Knight reached out through the Force to sense where the closest fighting was taking place. Upon detecting the presence of two powerful Force Users battling not too far away, Flint sprinted towards that direction. As he approached where the fighting was taking place, he could hear the sounds of lightsaber blades clashing. Flint then saw, just several feets away from him out in some sort of a clearing, green and crimson blades waving around as a Jedi Master and a Sith dueled.

As he got closer, he recognized both of the combatants. One of them Flint recognized as a Sith he had briefly fought against, during the skirmish at Zeltros. The Sith was powerful, the Jedi Knight knew, as it had taken both him and the former Grandmaster Watts working together to fight him. The green lightsaber wielding Jedi, he realized, was Master Kana Truden, who had been recognized as a hero from the battle at Manaan. Chances were that the Jedi Master probably did not recognize Flint. Regardless, he was still determined to assist Truden in taking down the Sith Master. As he burst out of the clearing, Flint saw that they were both wearing armor, unlike him, who was wearing a simple Jedi tunic and robe. Oh well.

Flint's cyan lightsaber ignited from the hilt on his right hand, and he rushed towards the battling couple from the left side of the Sith. Placing both of his hands on gripping the hilt, Flint swung towards the Sith's head, twisting his torso from right to left in order to provide greater momentum to his strike.

Gherron saw what the massive Sith was about to do. If he succeeded, he would likely char-broil both him and his padawan, or worse, skewer them with that sword of his. They had to move. "Rael, I think it's time to go. When I give the word, head back to the stronghold." Having said that, he would wait until the last second, when the shield was just about to burst. On that second,l he would drop his hands and scream, "Now!", before bolting for the tree. Once at the base, he grabbed hold of the branches and began scaling upward along the wall. Soon, he was scratched in several places from the branches, but he managed to push on. The others needed as much help as they could get. Eventually he would find himself at the top, gazing down at the battle below him.

We give and we take
We bend and we break
But that's just the life that we've chosen
This sinking ship will not be abandoned

The ongoing battle around her slowed. It was if time was halting, and she were but a spectator to the world. Strange, she thought. What does one do in this situation? On the one hand she was mid-combat with another opponent attempting to kill her, and yet, that was the furthest thing from her mind at the moment. It was apparent that [member="Kezeroth the Malevolent"] was not here for the Republic's best interests. She looked on as he ended the lives of those around him without hesitation or regard. Her hands began to shake of their own volition. Why!? For one who claims to hate the Sith you sure don't seem to have a problem aiding them in their CONQUEST OF ANOTHER KARKING PLANET. She could feel her frustration growing rapidly with each swing of his massive weapon.

Sera's eyes snapped back to reality as [member="Keira Ticon"] sprinted forward with speed and grace, slashing towards her head. She raised her left handed saber to block but was taken a bit by surprise as Keira leapt up and over her. Seraphina felt a sudden abundance of pressure against her back before having an opportunity to turn around, which forced her body a handful of steps forward. Correcting her balance by allowing the momentum from the Force Push to transition into a full twist layout, landing with more dignity than she had left with, she faced Keira to reassess the situation. "Clever." Truthful, honest, and to the point. She had yet to encounter anyone who employed such a tactic.

Kezeroth needed to be handled. She had no idea how, but he needed to be none the less. She was sworn to protect the Republic, and there he was, killing the very ones she was there to protect. She snarled in frustration. She was caught between a three dimensional pull. On one hand she needed to deal with Keira, on the other she needed to stop Kezeroth, but the third scenario was what was really eating at her. She simply didn't know how to react to him. He didn't kill her before, he had every opportunity to. Why?! What is his motive? She sort of wished he had just finished the deed earlier. She didn't want to fight him, not out of fear, to which she had plenty of for him, and not because it was obvious suicide to fight both of them at once, but because she felt some strange connection to him now, and yet, he was leaving her with no real alternative. She couldn't simply stand there while he obliterated life after life.

Turning back to Keira, she lowered her left saber horizontally close to her midsection, the right saber pointed low towards the ground as she gathered a bit of Force energy herself, using a portion of it to increase her own speed as she lunged towards her opponent, the remainder to direct a Force Push of her own against Keira's saber arm. The objective was to knock the saber arm back just enough to leave an opening in her defense to where she would slash her own right handed saber up in an attempt to knock the blade from Keira's grasp, while the other was lifted in a feigned attempt to prevent Keira from leaping overhead. She needed to engage Kezeroth to get his attention away from the others, they stood even less of a chance at subduing the mighty Gen'dai than she did, and hopefully, somehow, her intervention would halt his rampage for at least a period of time.

Suicidal? Probably, but she had to try and gain both opponents attention.

Kira would start to move a slow circle away from Soliael and warily watching the woman. She gave a shrug. Despite the chaos, Kira wasn't one to go for the jugular. Having previously saved the lives of Sith, it was clear she took the whole 'every life is precious' quite seriously.

"I do have a big mouth," she'd say with a rather cocksure grin. She was a teeny thing, and her hands appeared relatively free of hindrance. Yet at her hip was a red and white speckled tubular horn -- was that a lightsaber hilt? Rather unorthodox to use a living creature's talon for such a thing, but Kira did.

"Gets me in trouble," she'd flash a seemingly impish grin.

"So here's the deal -- You turn yourself in, and I will make sure you are safe."

"We're in too deep." Stanley protested.

Book's shields dropped rapidly each time one of the Sith soldiers fired at him - which was happening quite a bit. He pitched a roll that felt like absolute murder on his leg to take cover behind a splintered crate.

The Sith was closing again. He leveled his Shattergun on one of two directions she might approach from this angle, and frowned as something went off in his visor.

"We did our job, Dreadguard. We held the line until reinforcements alive. No point in dying for it."

Book blinked in confusion, and parted his lips to ask what Stanley meant, when his reserve air tanks suddenly depleted. The air tanks expelled outward with such a force that he was propelled upward a just above Vrag's lightsaber, and sent tumbling over the bridge.

It was halfway down that he blacked out from the indescribable pain coming from his leg.

The entirety of the branch began to buckle and break, mighty splinters of wood rupturing up from the fracturing point just ahead of him. Vornskr did not care for his own soldiers that were now doomed upon this collapsing structure, and instead fed the Force to empower his legs to work harder, and run faster than ever before. With a shove he threw anyone who got in his path completely out of his way, some of them even tumbling over the edge before the branch even began to fall. However; now that time was nigh, and with a mighty grown the entire thing began to give way, and the resulting tremors nearly sent the mighty Sith Lord sprawling. Still his footing remained true, and with a mighty leap he propelled himself over the widening gap between the section that was doomed to fall, and the stump that remained connected to the fortress. His jump was short, however; and while he did not land on the secure ground beyond the gap as he had intended, he did manage to find ground in the ruined remnants on the face of the stump.

Grabbing hold on one of the many ruined ends jutting out from the wood like spikes, the Sith Lord quickly reoriented himself as to where he and his forces currently stood. Many had perished during the branch's destruction, but many more remained on the smaller branches down below. They still scaled the massive trunks of the trees to try and flank the Republic forces, but the were getting wise to his tactics by now, and had mobilized their own forces to counter the flanking. Still, it would not matter. Vornskr had his eye on a different prize than this stronghold or these few trees, but that would all come to light in due time. Vornskr reactivated his lightsaber as he closed in on the one individual who shared his peril at this moment, a man with an eerily familiar, yet not so familiar, face and a sky-blue saber that beckoned for him. A declaration of challenge to the Sith Lord, and who was Vornskr to deny him?

First, he extended his will through the Force to strike at the wood in the general vicinity of Shule, causing it to crack and splinter with horrendous violence, and then explode outward in a hail of splinters and pulp. Then, he closed the distance with great swiftness belying his imposing stature, and unleashed a barrage of chops and jabs with his lightsaber, utilizing his personal style but focusing heavily on the Djem So aspects. He wanted to use his strength to batter this Jedi off from the precarious perch they found themselves on.

She caught a brief sight of Khan Ra moving up the bridge as the forces seemed to be more occupied with the developments on the beach than the enemy that was at their front door. Turning to Faye Terrik, the Knight said, "We need to move cautiously up the bridge. We are outnumbered but we have the element of surprise. I want you to stage your attacks, setting up perimeters along the bridge. We can't let this bridge fall and if we can mange to hold this...we will give our allies a clear path into the city on the eastside. Also, keep an eye on your backside. If you feel you are being overwhelmed, then retreat up the bridge. Hopefully by then we have broken a small breach for you to get in. I'm taking five soldiers with me."

Darth Venefica chose five snipers with her. The snpiers would serve her better for her attacks, giving them the time to pick off the enemy while keeping themselves hidden by the debris on the bridge. She looked over at her Apprentice. "You will stay here and assist Faye Terrik. Treat her orders as if I gave them to you personally." She turned and headed up the bridge to see about making an opening for them.

Halfway up the bridge she caught up to Khan Ra. "Love your enthusiasm. We need to create an opening right there," she said pointing to a small section being guarded by five Wookies and five Pubs, who were unaware of the enemy and talking among themselves. They didn't put much protection on this side since they thought the small force led by the brave female Jedi would do enough to prevent them from getting this far.

"I want you to target those wookies then lay down suppressing fire," she ordered her men. As they moved into position, taking covering behind some debris, their rifle barrels aiming at the wookies, she said to Khan Ra, "The Pubs are our goal. When the snipers fire...we charge up the bridge quickly using their suppression fire to keep them pinned down. We need to move quickly...that is key."

After activating her hilt and settling herself in the Dark Side, she nodded at her men; and five shots rang out simultaneously.

Targets locked in "Blue" informed him. "Angels... follow my lead single file, two torps each in the shield generators, two each in the top of the bridge....we'll be going fast so you wont have much time to shoot. May the Force be with you." with that he double checked the target lock, and rolled over highside into an inverted dive, punching the throttle to the stops. The gravity of the planet, combined with the massive acceleration from the engines launched the ship forward with startling speed. This acceleration would have the effect of spreading the fighters apart as they followed him in. This would give them a little more time to line up the shot. The ship loomed, hulking, and massive as he closed in. Almost there...now! Keanu rapidly double tapped the missile launch button. Releasing two torpedoes at the generator. Before he had a chance to see whether it hit or not, he pulled up adjusting course and releasing two more missile to lance down into the top of the bridge. The fighter flashed by the ensuing explosions skimming above the carriers surface. Only now did he realize that he was in a veritable storm of anti aircraft fire. He pulled back on the throttle activating retro thrusters to slow down. He planned on hugging the surface of the carrier to avoid the defensive guns.

Summary: Missiles Away!!!

"Copy that, Chatter," she replied, smiling as she realized that she had essentially just received her callsign--'Blue'. Today was a good day to be a starfighter in the Galactic Republic. "Going in."

Tucking behind and beneath her squadron leader, Sressechka dropped her thrusters, cut her elevators down, and flipped the ailerons for the briefest of moments, pitching her fighter downwards and rolling upside-down to help counter the G-forces. Angel Five then gunned her XJ-9 for the doomed capital ship, propulsion and gravity working in conjunction to bring her craft down at a terrifying speed. There were only a few seconds to launch the torpedoes, but this was the kind of moment the twi'lek pilot was made for, and she handled the target switching with the dexterity of the talented and learned stunt pilot she was. Both pairs of torpedoes fired, and both pairs of torpedoes hit their marks.

Angled below the ventral hull of the Sith carrier, Sressechka was in perfect position for an Immelman maneuver. Her fighter sank below most of the flak, though one round did scorch an ugly, black streak across her bottom starboard S-foil. But once she had made it underneath the ship and was past the anti-fighter defenses, she was home free. Rolling her fighter back to right-side-up, 'Blue' yanked the yoke back with all her strength and brought the fighter into a momentum-aided ascension. "Making another pass. Are the hits confirmed?" She needed to know if another strike at the bridge was necessary, or if the day was nearly won and her physical weapons should be conserved for other uses.

NPC Action

Location: Gates leading out to the beachhead.

Objective: Bring the Boom

Controller: Graxin Rade

Amount: 1000 Peackeepers (500 arriving with Joshua) 987 Graug warriors, 217 Wookie warriors.

(9000 Peacekeepers reinforcements arriving at the behind the AOL in drop ships. Peacekeepers reinforcements will be exhausted upon their arrival.)

Opponents: Darth Arcanix's main force

Summoning The Waves of Darkness was both reckless and remarkable. Graxin's much smaller force would be effected as soon as that blanket of pure darkness fell over them.

Luckily, the Army of Light were not the only victims. The Sith forces stood between the AOL and its allies, and that slight moment of time before the darkness reached them, they had the advantage.

Some of the younger men turned tail at the Sith Lord's dark onslaught. The more experienced veterans stood their ground, and settled down into a kneeling position. Graxin held fast.

One in every five of the soldiers carried a Ravager. The Ravager required a short charge up time, and then fired a beam of energy so powerful that it could annihilate tanks. More than enough to tear through the Vong Crab armor.

"Hold." Graxin roared over the monstrous thunderclap of Vitium's power. "Hold."

The Wookies roared in protest. The waves of darkness were upon them.

"Fire!"

The Ravager cannons all charged as one. The simultaneous explosion of energy shook the earth beneath their feet. Bright red beams of explosive energy shot forth in the hundreds toward the Vong hordes of Darth Arcanix.

Then the waves came over them.

(TLDR: Peacekeepers formed a firing line. Opened up with Ravager cannons on Arcanix's forces. Waves of Darkness now crashing over them.)

PC action:

Graxin hastily erected a force barrier around himself. It was in no way perfect, but it was enough to keep the effects of Vitium's attack from rendering him incapable of fighting.

Still, the subtle whisperings of her corruptive voice were enticing. Perhaps surrender was the best option...

"Your men charge into battle. I have the Graug, Grax'thor. The witch is yours." Shlurk rumbled.

The Graug looked more than a little shaken, but he stood fast. Shlurk had experienced the effects of the waves of darkness before, as had Graxin, on Telos. They knew what to expect.

It was the lesser Graug, the Wookies, and the Peacekeepers that had issue. A portion were frozen in fear. A few even dropped their weapons and fled the battle.

The majority, though disturbed and lacking focused, remained.

"The Sith are on their last legs." Graxin boomed. He had no idea what was happening at the tree, but he could only hope the beach was their final attempt at breaching Kachirho.

The Archlord focused on strengthening his personal barrier. With it, the whispering became a dull buzz rather than comprehensible words. The sharp pain and the sudden anxiety mixed with feelings of dread were lessened to a manageable degree. It was in no way perfect, but Graxin could try to rally his men.

"Joshua." He said in greeting to Dragonsflame. "Pleased to have you with us...do what you can my friend."

He offered his fellow Jedi a small smile, though it went unseen with his helmet. Rusken was doing his part, and even Armand was off fighting the Sith.

It was Graxin's turn.

Though his connection to the force felt muffled, it was nothing compared to that initial feeling of complete disconnection. He could fight Silara for whatever it was worth. With hope, that would stall the waves of darkness, and tip the scales back over to the Republic.

He stalked forward toward [member="Darth Vitium"]. The Peacekeepers, Graug, and Wookies parted for his approach. He made a point to give the Vong warriors and their allies a wide berth.

This was between himself, and Darth Vitium. It was time they'd finished what began on Csilla.

"Well." He shouted over the boom of the waves of darkness. "You've certainly grown in your ability my dear."

He took a moment of pause to observe the woman he knew as Silara. Stunning as she had been the day of their conflict on Csilla. Stalwart in her devotion to whatever her dark gods might be. Reckless, as he recalled how she shattered the factory on Csilla with raw emotion. The same was happening here, but now he had a chance to try and stop it.

That, and perhaps, see what made the woman tick. Her final words so long ago were still clear in his mind, and often kept him from sleep in the night.

"You cannot begin to comprehend how much I love you right now, watching you struggle like a worm in the mud!"

He swallowed heavily, and settled a single lightsaber in his hand. The cyan blade hissed as it came to life. Now was not the time for hesitation.

"I do hope you've missed me." A match was retrieved from his belt, and ignited on his forearm plate. The faint flame flickered in the darkness, but slowly, it began to grow, reflecting a sharp amber light off the visor of his helmet.

"I have such a sensitive heart."

Khan Ra

Monster Cat Redefined
Location: Kachiro City (Moving up the massive tree trunk bridge to breach the city on the east side)
Objective: Objective A
Allies: Darth Carach | Faye Terrik | Alicia Drey | Darth Vidar | Anja Aj'Rou | @Darth Venefica | Shuduc Macar
Enemies: Corvus Raaf | Kira Liadain | Soliael Devin Talith | Meric Nadun | Anastasia Rade

Khan growled under his breath as he heard Venefica coming up the bridges, but quickly quieted. He did no want to share the glory he was hoping to gain... However, she and her snipers would be useful if there was a significant amount of straggling defenders... He would have to make sure she would not take his share of the recognition for taking the city... By the look of it they might be the heroes of the battle. Of course that's what he told himself, anyway.

Khan looked up from the foliage at the waiting wookiees and republic soldiers. Another delay... Then again if Veneifica had not come he woudl have had ot sneak around them, wasting more time. She and her snipers were proving useful already. Khan kept his eyes ahead on the ten guards as the Sith Knight at his side gave orders to her soldiers. His grasp tightened on his vibroblade. Five soldiers were all that stood in their way before claiming the city? He heard no sounds of fighting behind the gates... This might be easier then he had even thought.

As soon as the snipers fired in tandem, Khan moved quickly towards the men, hoping to take them by suprise. Khan swung his blade towards the nearest's neck, hoping to end him quickly. However what he thought were his sword handling skills and what they really were were two very differnt things. As he swung he failed to center the sword properly, meaning the edge of the blade hit rather then the blade itself- doing slightly more than denting his neck guard. However, their Wookiee friends dropping from sniper fire followed by two Sith leaping from no where still suprised the troopers well enough, and the suprise combined with the sudden knock sent the trooper stumbling back. Taking the opening, Khan gathered the force into his palm quickly, sending out what he hoped would be a push to fling the trooper off the bridges. Once again, he was overconfident in his abbilities, and the attack did little more than making the trooper stumble further. However out of sheer bad luck the stumbling trooper's foot caught a small crack in the wooden bridge, sending him finally falling backwards- straight off the bridge. This was where Khan was lucky to have Venefica and her snipers with him; he would likely have been shot long before he disposed of only the first trooper- let alone the other four. Of course, he didn't see it that way.
