Emberlene's Daughter, The Jedi Generalist

She gave him a look there before everything went around them. "Well things can happen." She stayed there seeing the being coming at them mostly to greet while they were all looking around. Before she could see a lot of other parts here until she was looking at other things here. She could see some fo the other people who were around. "Welcome, welcome lady jedi." Matsu was looking at them and they stood there for a moment, she could make out some of the other details of their outfit and it dawned on her what they were doing. "Ah you are one of the confessors." She got a nod and motioned with her hand indicating for Joshua when they were being led around. "The confessors on thois world are different, no names and they hear the sins of people who seek to be purified. Though most wear different outfits." She was going and sitting down by the small pool of water she could see the reflection of herself and the others in it as below the water different gemstones glittered. "This is the crystal pool, where some of the first jedi we met several thousand years ago put their lightsabers and crystals."

The Jedi shot her a grin in response to her look. "I'm almost offended you never asked me, if you were looking for a volunteer" He joked, the grin turning wicked for a moment before he would turn to move on, indicating that he was merely speaking in jest. Not that Matsu wasn't bad looking at all. Who knows what he would have done as a Knight had she asked? Not that it mattered at this point.

But it was nice that he was finally beginning to address Matsu more as a friend, than just as his former formal Master. They were equals, now. It was better to start treating her as a friend and a colleague, than someone he had to hide and be stiff around.

He would tilt his head as she would have her conversation with this "Confessor" but he would nod his head and just listen along, taking in what information that he could. He found himself peering into the pool...

She was looking at him for a moment longer until she had set herself down boiw. Starrig at the pool until her interest was piqued. Getting to see some parts of the pool as it extended out. Where there were crystals and more until she spoke. "You should be careful what you think Josh, there are many who might seek to take advantage." She said it with a small look on her face before she was moving and getting some of the ideas now. This place was so peaceful compared to some of the things that she had been. It was like breathing in a whole to world of the force when she could really feel it. Before the jedi master stuck herself there when she looked up and around at some fo the trees.

"Oh really? Do go on" He would tease Matsu right back as she would proclaim that there were those that could take advantage. He would only smirk in turn, seeming amused at Matsu's proclamation and seeking for a bit of clarification in turn. He would relax as he would stare down at the pool for a moment, curious about what may be staring back at him.

Either way, it didn't seem that much stared back for the moment. So all he could do was ask questions... And make quips.

Her eyebrow raised up until she was looking over at some of it. The sound of footfalls coming when a hound or something that looked like one came into sight. The silver horns on its head and sleek black fur blended in with some of the shadows and slivers of light for a moment until it stood tall and ready. Like a massive wolf with a large tail and horns. She could see some fo the other creatures that were around now in the trees, the water from below and gave a small nod of her head. "THis is a far more peaceful place then I thought, where would you recommend we head to next for exploring?" She was curious about what they might be able to do or discover but the being was standing there and offered a smile. "Well we have a castle, an old on on the coast. Near the bay of tears. Many ships have crashed there and been smashed on the rocks so there is a collection that has been connected with small platforms."

He was disappointed when she didn't humor him with an answer. Instead, the sound of footsteps would stop them from speaking further. He would quirk a brow as he looked toward the source of the noises in turn. It was a creature of sorts... And he only now began to notice the others around them. Matsu would decide to change the subject, driving a light chuckle from him before he would look over when she asked what he wanted to explore next. He would shrug in turn. He didn't know what was here or what was in this planet after all.

"The old castle sounds interesting" He would admit after she made her suggestion.

SHe was looking at it and there was a lot she could think about, exploring an old castle could be something when she was looking at the one guiding them. "Alright, tell us what you can about it." She was curious when she rose up and they were being led through the forest. "It is older then most of us know, built on a foundation that is different but not completely. One of the old towns on the coast uses a similar foundation and there are secrets there many don't even remember.... but the storms that are on the coast, are made to smash ships. We are not even certain if there is a time there are no storms. The castles were said to be built over and over, becoming more and more grand but for thousands of years they would be washed away. Until someone designed a castle that could withstand the storms and allow them to get in and see all of the destroyed ships."

He listened to the briefing about the castle as they got moving, quiet, silent, just listening and learning. He didn't have much to say in turn, he knew. What could he really say? All he could do was just that, learning, listening, keeping silent and seeing what came of it. He was curious about this castle though... He was always fascinated by them and the secrets that could be hidden within them.

He still had a few snarky cracks he could make, some sexual as well, but he didn't know if that was Matsu's sort of humour. So he didn't speak of them for the moment, deciding to just remain quiet for the time being.

Matsu was walkling with them and getting an idea for herself about this castle about what there was she might discover and a place that had been fashioned to withstand storms that destroyed so many others had to be very formidable indeed. Where she was really looking was what there might have been. "Are there other places like this, structures around the continent or the world that are feats of wonder?" She was curious to try and learn what she could as the woman looked at her and spoke. "Yes there are, several. One is to the north, a realm whewre it always snows and ice butterflies can kill any who enter. There are cities built on the caves of crystal and ancient crypts from older jedi as well as others."

Josh walked behind Matsu, and was tempted to make some kind of flirtatious but platonic joke to crack about earlier, since he knew naught would come of it, but decided to hold off on ideas for later while they were being guided. Either way, he would listen as Matsu would ask questions of the guide, looking at the structure up ahead with a curiosity in his eyes.

"So there's more of them besides this? Interesting" He would think aloud as he continued to walk, thoughts more on what's at hand and less on pranks.

"Oh yes many more, it is said thousands but many are not certain." Matsu was following and the woods opened up onto something she was not completely expecting. The sounds of the waves crashing against the rocks, the high walls and citadel of the castle as the black stone was overgrown in many areas but still you could see people standing around. In robes and their own outfits where she could see it. The place wasn't terribly gaudy and compared to some of the others she had seen here and other different places. Seemed more built for form and function then looks as the massive wall was against the ocean and its storms. "Now that is something to see." She got a look and a nod of her head. "Yes, it is something different compared to others but some of the oldest structures have many different histories."

"Thousands? Well, I suppose they wouldn't know every location that's on this planet... Otherwise it'd get sort of boring if there was nothing left to explore" He would respond, chuckling lightly in turn. He noted they seemed to be nearing a seaside, which really was his preferred locale of choice and the ideal place that led to him picking his home in that sort of area.

"Do you have any info on those histories, perhaps?"

"Hahaha yes, this place though usually has a near constant storm and winds that make travel even with starships impossible." She was pointing out to sea and Matsu strained her eyes for a moment before focusing with the force to look out at it. THere were many different ships there, together and forming a massive ring almost before she was looking at parts of it. "It started sometime tens of thousands of years ago, a single ship being paired with another and another as it grew and more ships crashed. They were sealed and made to be sea worthy so it became its own continent and could last against some fo the storms stretching outward towards one of the islands turning the open area into a more protected bay with defenses on either side as other ships need t come in. The castle itself is within one area of the building, the sea wall is there and the tower it has is massive, with the common areas, royal chambers, kitchens, stables and all of the other areas in the tower so you don't have to walk around in the storms,"

He listened as Matsu would note the "near constant " storm and winds that makes travel, even with starships, "impossible". He would quirk a brow then as he looked toward where the old Master was pointing. "Well, that's not exactly a good thing. I mean, yeah, it's cool that the ships formed into something passable, but if even one of those ships were to sink, it could start a chain reaction, what with one likely supporting the other, and in turn one supporting another and another and another..." He trailed off, before shrugging his shoulders.

"It doesn't sound like the safest place to visit, that's for sure. One wrong move and you're stuck in the water in the midst of a storm. Not many survive that."

Matsu was looking at him there for a moment, allowing the force to go out while she searched with it. Staying where they could here though as she looked out at it. "Perhaps but it has lasted this long, try to look at the bright side for once not just how things go wring. You'll have more grey hairs then I do." She said it with less of a smile but was heading into the castle with them as she could see the massive sea wall that was thick stone and metal. Something that if the water and wind slammed against it this wasn't going to budge before she was speaking. Here and now though she could also see some of the stone closer now. "THis is interesting." Her hand was going over it, black marble infused with veins of crystal she could feel the force in and there was metal reinforcement. "Someone has talent when it comes to their force engineering."

[member="Matsu Ike"]

"I do look at the bright side. Beautiful place and all" He responded as he shrugged his shoulders in turn. "But I didn't live this long by not being cautious either, y'know? I mean, you're so cautious you've gone out of your way to learn damn near every Force trick in the book just to prepare for everything" He joked, a small smile crossing his lips in response.

He would walk behind her as he looked out at the castle walls that were enclosing around them. It was here that he realized he could be a bit claustrophobic... Unless Shmi was the one being pressed against him, I mean.

She looked at him with a raised eyebrow for a moment. "Would you rather I be like others and become helpless in a way that I am not really able to do anything?" She said it when she was looking at him and walking through the castle there was something to see and she looked at more of it. "Besides, a jedi is always learning to limit yourself it almost an insult when there is no reason not to check out what you can do. You might find you have talents that you never knew about. You might find you aren't the best pilot but you understand how to fix things, you might not be a saber expert but you suddenly learn you know how to craft and think of equipment to help the other jedi. It is all a matter of being trying."

[member="Matsu Ike"]

"No worries, Master. I'm completely aware" He would respond. "And no, I'd rather you not be like the others. You're unique the way you are, and that's why I go to you when there's something to learn. I won't get the same experience from others" He would add as they walked. "What I'm saying is you're clearly very cautious yourself."

He would look up at the castle, curious about what it held in store...

Matsu was leading the way with more of it, a chance to go and see parts until she clasped her hands behind her back and they came into the castle. Different women going around, young children who were helping others as well as what looked like a one armed armorer constructing a suit of armor that they could see. Scaled gold and crystal that gleamed in the light, her senses tingling as she shifted senses to see the force work going into the armor and inscribed where it was. To strengthen and turn the armor from something that might be ornate to something that would be more then prsentable to anyone that wanted to be seen almost as royal.

(It's been over a year, time to wrap this up in the next post handful? Lol)

The armor piqued his interest, as the Jedi would look toward it, watching how it changed as the armorsmith worked with it. His eyes darted toward every moment movement and every little thing that seemed to be slowly making the change. He was aware of all that was going on around him, of course, that was part of his training... But the armour had his interest piqued.
