A Day Gone Wrong

Stardust tool cover as she looked forward, another tank...now two...oh great...

She started running towards the ship as she yelled* hey wait for me!

She said as a round nearly hit her as she started jumping quickly away, she stopped on a crate panting as she could feel exhaustion setting in, she focused the force then started running bounding up the ramp and stopped by [member="Vinten Veers"] panting* you, owe me a lot * she said with a humorous tone and sat down*

091, not noticing this exchange, kept its focus on the oncoming enemy soldiers, providing sniper support from high above. It sight followed hostiles to their deaths, then switched to the next. The Commando Droid took down the last droid, meaning the main area of the hangar was now clear for anyone inside to escape. The pirates, now realizing that there was an enemy sniper, had made for cover behind crates.

B'enor Benjeel

Head Engineer for Commenor
B’enore Benjeel, or Ben, as everyone called him, was crammed between a manifold and an exhaust pipeline deep within the maintenance shafts of the Lady Liberty. Being small had its advantages in this line of work, not that he would ever admit to being small. He’d decided to crawl through every nook and cranny of his new charge in order to get to know her better. Expecting a routine stop, it seemed like the best time for it -- he was wrong.

One didn’t need his extremely sensitive chadra-fan hearing to notice the firefight outside, even this deep within the bowls of the ship. Speaking into a com linked to his highly customized astromech/slicer droid nicknamed Shorty (despite being the same height as himself), Ben said, “What the karking hell is going on out there!?”

“Beep, Beeeeep, Whistle, Booooop.”

“How the hell did he get us into this already, he’s either very unlucky, stoopa, or loca, and I’m not even sure which one I prefer” he said exhaustedly as he shimmied his way through the shaft.

After some unpleasant, and some rather more pleasant squeezing, Ben’s head popped up through a maintenance grate in front of a pile of crates, which hadn’t been there before, with a human and a twi’lek sitting near them, which definitely hadn’t been there before.

“Well, good afternoon to you pateesas” he said sarcastically, then, pulling himself from the hole, he ran down the gangway far enough to see Logan.

With his blaster drawn, Ben peered out at the action, which seemed to have mostly resolved itself by the time he got there. He yelled out to Logan, “Hey boss-man, we’ve got a bunch of weirdos aboard, seems a shame you should be the only one not part of the fun. Mind joining the party?”

He held his blaster at the ready to provide cover-fire, if necessary.

She listened dispassionately and unsympathetically to the Captain's sardonic plea. Rashae tapped her index finger on the console as she analyzed his hurried words. “Understood Captain. I will prepare for two. Medical out.” She said over the Com. There was a pat on the side of the med bed as it was warmed up and ready to go.

She performed a simple check on ship systems that scans for contagions and found that there were two extra bodies on board. 'Lovely' came the droll thought from her head. 'When I said two that wasn't exactly what I meant.' She thought as she raised an eyebrow.

The Doctor took up her medical scanner and a medium medkit just in case as she went down to do a precursory scan of their new arrivals. It was standard procedure. It didn't take her long to get to the cargo bay that was still opened as the laser fire became more prominent. The raven haired physician stopped before Veers and pulled the medical scanner out to start an initial scan of his form. Those Icy eyes glanced at the Twi'lek that joined him. “I am Dr. Roshae Lovous, pleasure to meet you. Please remain still for your scans. “

The voice was neutral, no nonsense business like as she performed her scans of both of them. “Thank you.” As the scans were complete. The raven haired doctor didn't smile as she performed her tasks. “What are your names for the records, please? “

She was being coldly polite. There was no need to be uncivilized after all. The question wasn't really a question as more of a requirement. When she first boarded the ship it took her far too long to straighten the records out. Most of them was droid inputted, which was fine. Those entered by a sentient was horrendous. Accurate records was important in both medical and research.

Her head turned towards Ben who was yelling at the Captain to get a move on into the ship. She wasn't even going to guess what was in that impulsive man's brain. In fact the less she knew what was in that cesspool of a brain the more sane she could remain. Ben was a funny little sentient. Rashae has to hand it to him. He knew his stuff around a starship engine. Of course his need for energy supplements has provided interesting opportunities. The reactions have been very interesting.

Vinten looked up to [member="Rashae"] as she scanned him to check for any problems. "I... uh...thank you dear." Vinten was slightly confused and still shook up from the day he had just had, not to mention the fact that his day wasn't even over. He had other work to do, and being stuck on Sriluur this long was most definitely leaving his buyer impatient. He just hoped he wouldn't sell his merchandise.

Vinten then looked over to [member="Stardust Raxis"], sneering slightly but then calming himself. "Don't worry my dear, you will get paid when I get my cargo I assure you." Vinten suddenly had a large group of beings around him, which meant that he was safer, but he just hoped that they all didn't want to be paid.

Hahahah I was joking with you, but if you wanna pay me I can't turn that diwn at all

Upon exploring the ship more, Ponyboy found a group of people. Ha huge smile would grow on his face. The courier walked between the people until he found a nice place to sit...a crate.

He would look around, there were a few people he didn't recognise... actually he had no clue who anyone was. The boy sighed, where was the captain of the ship.

He looked over to [member="Vinten Veers"], and was about to say something before a man fell from the ventilation shafts. This made Ponyboy leap from the crate, the chit was scared out of him. Falling back onto the floor he would quickly get up.

"What the hell!" He would cry out as his heart rate jumped.

"Do you like scaring people half to death?" Ponyboy said as he felt his chest.

"WHAT IN NINE HELLS WAS THAT ALEX?"

"I guess that new add-on works real swell, huh?" the former Rogue smirked back to [member="Logen Brunner"] referring to the Ground Buzzer they had installed just prior to this job. She really only wanted to make em dance a bit not break out into song too.

Russo watched the cockpit's security cam feed of the boarding ramp with interest… Seemed the Lady Liberty was going to be taking on passengers. Hopefully that was a good thing because the operation could use all the extra credits it could. Keeping the used freighter going was costing an arm and a leg not to mention give the old girl an update.

"Close her up Brunner so I can take off! We're going to have company real soon like," Alex interjected as the scanners showed the local authority bringing around their security cruisers.

Ben heard a crash behind him. Swiftly looking in that direction, he saw a human man? Boy? He couldn't quite tell, and another human man laying on the ground.

"Oh, for the love of...", he exclaimed once he saw the hole in the ceiling.

Turning back toward the captain he complained, "Now there's more of them! They're falling through my sweets patogga's ceiling and multiplying faster than an orthodox lepi!"

He glared in the direction of the man who had fallen through the ceiling and who was now sprinting in the direction of the helm, his large, gleaming black eyes narrowing to a blade like edge. Seemingly much more concerned about the destructive chaos growing within the ship than the action outside it he turned back toward the captain and yelled, "I'm telling you, we've got to get out of here before I start scratching my itchy trigger finger and blasting people messing with sweets patogga."

Sweets patogga was his nickname for the Lady Liberty, and huttese for sweetie pie.

D'vok moved relativley quickly to the pilot's room, drawing his blaster. "I suggest you stop right there, you pirate scum." He aimed the pistol point blank at Russo. "Tell Zylod he'll get his money in hell."
Location: Lady Liberty's Cockpit

What the frak?!

Alleycat didn't honestly anticipate this development by [member="D'vok Windroamer"], but none the less the pilot would deal with it. Startled yet able to think clearly from all her years of military training, the former Rogue's brandy brown orbs quickly picked up the man's reflection in the cockpit's transparisteel view port standing behind her with his weapon poised. He appeared to be acting alone so it would be him against her unless a knight in shinning armor came to his princess' rescue since the brunette had pushed a button nonchalantly on her wrist comm indicating SOS.

"Okay buddy… You got me there. Just take it easy," Russo said in a conciliatory tone. "I'm just going to put this datapad down real slow like, 'kay?" she added, arms going out to the side of the pilot's chair with the pre-flight checklist in her left hand; of course taking her time to buy time, and hopefully not getting shot point blank.

As Alex started to do so she caught a small glimpse of a copper red dome-top rolling into the cockpit quietly in behind the man. The Taanabian bit her lip to keep a smirk off her face. This was going to be good…

The R2 unit's electric pike snaked out from it's front panel. Rusty then would attempt to deliver a concentrated nerve impulse to a spot on this nerfherder's leg that would stun him.

The increased volume of bolts smashing into his cover was a big hint that he was a focal point to the pirate's aggression. He looked back towards the ship and can see the chadra-fan yelling at him. Obvious he was trying to coach the old man back to the ship so they can take off, but it was the other words that escaped the rodent like mechanic's mouth. I pang of anger and confusion rose from the pinned downed captain. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN THEY ARE MULTIPLYING?" He yelled back to Ben, hoping his voice can carry above the sounds of violence.

It was time to escape, he can hear the engines purring and the ship primed to go. It tickled his heart string a bit as his crew was willing to wait for him, even as hell was trying to engulf them. He took that as a genuine sign of loyalty. "Alright old, time to hustle!" he preached to himself, trying to pump himself up for the long dash he was about to make towards the ship.

He took three deep breaths before thrusting himself up, then running towards the loading dock. He could hear the pirates behind him letting off with their weapons. He could feel and see the bolts crashing around him. It was going to take a some corelian luck to get him back to the ship unscathed.

He hit the bottom the ramp, smiling as the pirates had worse aim then stormtroopers. He was about to turn and give them his famous smirk before he felt a burning sensation penetrate his right ass cheek. "Ahrrrrrr!" He growled, stumbling up the ramp then propping himself against the wall. He pressed a button and the loading ramp began to close.

"Take off Alex!" The wounded captain would order over the intercom to his over qualified pilot. Logen would look about, see the added numbers to his cargo. Seems there was more then one twat wanting off this planet. "You all better have some form of payment or we are gonna have some pleasant words" Such was emphasized that the captain was in no mood, especially since he was just shot in the ass.

"Doc!" He sighed, he wasn't going to hear the end of this. " If you got moment to spare, i have something delicate that i need you to look at"

"Kriff!"
D'vok wasn't expecting the Electric shock. His leg became numb, he dropped to the floor, his gun falling to the ground, and discharging once. The shock was disorienting, but not enough to completely incapacitate him. He swatted at the R2 droid, attempting to knock it over.
"Damn pirates! You'll never take me alive!" D'vok exclaimed furiously.
D'vok tried to get up. In an instant he realized that the nerve impulse had rendered his legs useless, and flopped to the ground as he attempted to shift the weight to his legs.
"How much is he paying you? I'll triple it if you get me off this god-forsaken planet."
D'vok pointed to a door leading out of the hangar bay.
"I can't go back there! I can't! They'll kill me!"
D'vok took a look of despair, as his eyes darted quickly from his gun, to the woman.

Vinten's head was spinning. There were so many beings appearing everywhere on board the ship. They were like bugs, crawling out of every crack and crevice. He was surprised they could all fit, especially in the one room they were all converging on. Then, the only person that he actually knew was meant to be on the ship came running in. Vinten could notice [member="Logen Brunner"] had a slight limp to him, signalling that something had happened. Funny enough, the first thing he mentioned was payment, not his injury. This was a person that Vinten could obviously see himself getting along with.

"Have no fear, you will get your pay." Vinten knew exactly how to deal with these people, especially these were his kind of people.

Then he noticed that someone was missing. His droid! [member="CD - 091-BB"] was not on board and that was the only bodyguard he had that was extremely loyal. Vinten turned to the ramp, hoping his droid would board before they took off.

091 realized that all the other combatants on its side were gone, and the pirates were advancing on the freighter. It raised its rifle, shooting down the two closest pirates to the freighter. It jumped down, batting one of the pirates over the head with its rifle. It threw down the gun and jumped into the vehicle.
"I advise we leave. Now." 091 droned, twisting around and blasting another pirate who was approaching.

They didn't provide names as protocol would require. Her head turned to the a body crashing through as for some reason he thought he was invisible. Rashae couldn't scan him before he disappeared towards the front.. bow.. whatever the Captain called it. Her face became colder and icier as the minutes marched on till their illustrious grand leader came falling up the ramp. How in the galaxy does anyone fall up a ramp? There was a mournful and martyred sigh from the Doctor.

Once Logen Brunner gave the command to Alex to take off, he came limping up towards them into the cargo bay giving the not so veiled threat about payment. This was a business vessel and it didn't run on charity. Rashae saw no issue with this none what so ever.

"Doc! If you got moment to spare, i have something delicate that i need you to look at"

“Of course, Captain.” Her scanner was already out as the readout indicated damage. “And here I thought I was going to have to put out a celebration of no one having holes in them this time.” She had to get at least one barb in as she tilted her head towards his rear end in a very analytical clinical fashion. His heart rate was up unnecessarily. He was generally a very fit middle aged man, but wounds tend to stress things. Rashae took out a hypo delivery device and prescribed a light dose of pain killers into his neck. “That should get you up to medbay. I got her warmed up.”

She was at least professional despite the cold nature. It was a wound no matter how it was received. Rather the rest of them followed or not to med bay was beside the point but she motioned to usher the Captain to take the lift to head to her office. Her head would turn to the others. “If you could please excuse us. “ There was no smile or wait for good byes or any other pleasantries since they didn't even bother to give a simple name. Incivility irritated her.

It took a few minutes to get to the medbay. She turned to the Captain and casually as if asking for a drink or for a cookie. “Take your pants off, please.” While she prepared cleaning materials, sterile tools, bacta, and other items. “I could cut them off but I believe those are your favorite.” The glacial eyes could cut steel as she turned at the side of the medical bed. “Come now don't be a baby, Captain. “ Her foot started tapping impatiently.

She waved him off idly not trying to be rude but to get her breathead, she gathered the force around her as she focused it through her, she felt her energy cone back as she stood up and watched the man run..to the hanger

Oh kark

She followed just in time to see the Droid jump on, she sighed then chuckled as she looked the Droid over

Well call me blind but you my friend are a relic

She laighed and patted it's metal shoulder before looking to the man

Is that all?
