Eve's mouth dropped open in shock as she heard Ansisa openly insult Darth Malum of House Marr . Something told Eve this was not going to end well at all, and she had best keep her opinions to herself.

"Ansisa, you just stepped in a huge pile of bantha poodoo," Eve thought to herself, as she tried to return her face to as neutral of an expression as possible, given the circumstances.

Ansisa made some threat to Annika and Annika just gave a little wave with her fingers, allowing the dark purple flames to flutter as she did. In truth she was becoming nervous how adversarial Ansisa was, her own power was growing, but could she defend herself from Ansisa, she had no idea. But the die had already been cast so all she could do was try to exude confidence and play the right part.

Stars, you stupid whore, do you ever stop?

She never did, stopping hurt the alogrithm and that hurt her credit stream. She smirked back at the other woman. "And I thought Chiss were meant to be more refined, stupid? That hurts me Ansisa." she probably needed to stop poking the bear, but the change path at this point would only show weakness.

Ansisa continued on quickly though with the insults, levelling them at the Lord in front of them. She might be able to get a demonstration of their host's power after all if the Chiss kept pushing his buttons. She had to admit though that on this occasion, her feisty blue skinned peer was right on the money about the jedi sounding platitudes issuing forth from Darth Malum of House Marr .

"This oughta be good" she said under her breath.

Two rebelled, one acquiesced, and two remained silent.

Was that what he expected? He was not quite sure. He was prepared for all to rebel really, such was the way of the Sith, to continue to rise against trepidation and danger, to survive beyond the odds, even as their numerous empires throughout the ages fell to infighting or conquest, they always survived, always escaped, always were able to rebuild and renew their strength for the next battle.

Boldness, passion, initiative. All excellent traits to have.

If they could be honed to usefulness.

It was a silent thing, but all too visible, they shook as they were made, moving in chaotic pivots on their own axis, the dark side was made manifest as in front of both Annika Starfire and Ansisa appeared the Spear of Midnight Black, the Darkshears. Pointing, directly to the forefront of one's brain, with the ability to be loosed to crack bone and grey matter, all to utterly corrupt and destroy whatever stood in its way, promising to be bloody, promising to be painful.

The owner of the spear gazed away from them both, off to the side, towards the Asa'nyx, Quintessa Zambrano , who had been a surprise audience member to these proceedings, this little bit of theatre was just as much for her benefit, as to the acolytes laid before him

All the while the only sound in the air was a dark chuckle, one filled with malice, cracking up and down as lightning strummed before the thunder.

"Acolyte Starfire, do you find this all some joke, some form of entertainment for you?" His eyes refused to acknowledge her as his words spoke, their seriousness entirely lost with the brimming energy that filled every syllable, "Chissling," The word was hissed out, its undertone echoed by a voice entirely alien, "Do you believe the Jedi have defeated across the millennia by pure chance, by pure coincidence, that there is no merit in the study of the foe that has defeated us, over, and over? Are you so arrogant, Acolyte Karan'sis'atrob, that you believe the ones you were defeated by did so purely by accident?"

The Darkshears were growing more chaotic, once silent they spun with greater intensity, emitting a sound that was below register, below frequency, an unnatural sound, but one utterly repugnant to the ears.

"This Order requires ironically enough... order, and unity, it has no use for those unwilling to learn." The band around his wrists began to warm, "So, I will grant you what you so dearly wish, draw your blades, fight to the death like you so clearly want to. The weaker will die, and we shall see if the stronger learned something," The hiss of twin lightsabres alerted all to the fact that something was wrong, heavy breathing confirmed it as such, a mirror image of the man before them, who continued to look away distantly, was breathing heavily.

Breathing behind them, with lightsabres placed by their necks, the plasma kissing the air with delight, simply begging to touch flesh.

"Or... you may fight both of us, two on two, a fair fight, no?" They spoke in unison, Malum's returning to the tone he had used thus far, the doppelganger however, hissed the words out, "What will you choose little acolytes, death by each other's hands, or death together by mine, or will you..." The chuckle now was genuine, as if the thought itself was the most amusing thing in the world, "...or will you flee?"

Malum's main form finally turned to face the acolytes, "Acolytes Firrerreo , EVE_0001 , and Marcus Dinn , feel free to do as you wish, assist, or spectate, have no fear, I am more than able to instruct and teach while in battle." He did note that it was Marcus who had given him the response most accepting, the response most intelligent, he was their parent's child at least. Knew well enough to pick his battles, and knew well enough when to take an opportunity to learn. It would serve him well. Still focusing on the two turbulent acolytes, his red eyes were glimmering with emotions unknown, all apart from one.

What Eve felt at this moment, went beyond ordinary fear. She suddenly felt a sense of utter, absolute dread in the presence of Darth Malum. Malum's casual show of his abilities, easily demonstrated to Eve just how much she yet had to learn. Involuntarily, her hand went to her throat as she swallowed. It was as if she was anticipating invisible talons slowly constricting her windpipe. Did she dare draw her weapon and fight, or would it be better to stand her ground and silently observe? Indecision rooted her where she stood.
