An Inn, In, An In.

@La'kuus Quelin

Oh she used more than enough force. They both could hear a dull thunk-pop as his calf was struck. Something dislocated. She could see pain shoot through him as she got up with the punch. That upper cut wasn't the end of him...yet. For all the pain, his will to fight just was too high to accept it for now. But that would soon run out!

It wasn't gone yet though, tucking his leg back in which was attacking, his other arm came to the floor. Both bent like springs and thrust hard against the metal floor to launch his upper body up, and coiling his stomach, he comes up towards her upper body. Snapping his arms forward with the motion to try and grab her shoulder and head-to use them like a laser designator for a headbutt.

Kinda funny how bad ideas become good ones sometimes...well...not good. But okay.

That sound usually meant the fight was over, but unfortunately to La'kuus usual sense, that took her at a disadvantage. The man had enough time to complete his twirl and fully grab her by the shoulders. The next motion was obvious. He was either going to kiss her, or headbutt her, both of which she did not like the idea of. With a quick motion, La'kuus kicked both her legs up to the opposing fighters, mainly to throw him off balance, but also to get a powerful 100 squat a day kick to the upper portion, where it really counted when you were in a stance situation. Should they even land, or should she even get to off-balance the man, she hoped to post a counter of whipping her arms around his to hit his elbows, in order to get him off of her and hopefully, do enough damage to end the fight.

@La'kuus Quelin

The kick landed with her gambit against him, throwing his whole attack off, and to say the least- he didn't make it. He topp!ed back with quite a bit of force as the final confrontation ended. Not bothering to sit up or move, he was fine with just laying on the cold floor. It was kinda like a instant ice pack for him. From this position she could see that the leg she punched had gone a little awry. At the knee it looked like it was disconnected, and had turned that limb into a noodle.

Meanwhile the guy himself was just smiling and breathing in and out deeply, leaning up to sit much like how a zombie would, the insane amount of pain just seem like a rainshower to him. At least by appearance. "That was fun!"

Not even a moment later he began to drag himself with surprising speed back towards the table with his upper body. Dragging his injured legs behind him like a dog or cat would their lower legs if they were amazingly lazy. With a huff he lifted himself back into his seat with only the use of his arms, and began to eat again. Sparing a moment to poke and wriggle the dislocated leg a bit. "Ow. I got a wacky toy for a leg right now."

Taking a large slice of the steak into his mouth, he begins to chew as he sets down his utensils and positions his hands over his calf and above his knee. Slowly beginning to bring the joint back together like he was shone all that long time ago. With a wet thunk, and a heavy grunt of pain from Olan, it went back to normal. Hands now messaging the areas around his knee while he continued to chew on the meat in his mouth.

La'kuus was straight at work to putting her items back in her sweater and boots once she was Olan had offically given up. She walked over to him once she was finished, taking a look at his leg. "You should find attacks that can't be too easily countered." That was all she said before sitting down in front of him. She gently pulled out her circular case and leaned back from the table, using her index and middle finger to one by one take her contacts out, just a casual thing.

@La'kuus Quelin

While La was taking her contacts out, Olan watched her closely. The man was in a great deal of pain, but he did a good job of hiding it. Except for that hazed look in his usually bright eyes. "I think I am one of those people whom blasters and guns were made for, thinkings not my strong suit." Ever playful. "Though, that is very good advice." Bobbing his head up and down. When she looked at his leg, she would have noticed it was slightly twitching from what it looked like. The muscles had to have torn quite a bit.

Motioning with his knife to a uncut piece of steak on the platter, and then at her. "Have some. Gotta be a little better tasting than those bars. If not, atleast something different."

Setting down his utensils he picks up his jacket from the seat and puts it on, leaving his holster-harness where it was. Motioning with his hand again, though this time to her lense case. "Eye issues? Wouldnt of thought it with how good of a shot you are. He made for sure his tone was not patronizing, more of his voice took on a quizzical quality.

The conversation seemed to be helping him not focus on his body as much, as the pain prevalent in his eyes started to fade. Or maybe he just was getting used to it.

Guns were probably a very preferred weapon, except when you find those people who can deflect every hit and aim it back at you. (Bad RP'er joke.)

La'kuus put her contact away in the case and took out an extra pair, fitting it into her eyes one at a time. She refused the steak. She was one of those people who could only eat certain things, every single day. Very plain and terrible tastes, apparently. "No thanks."

At the mention of her eyes, she nodded her head, though it was obvious, she didn't expect him to have THAT little thinking power. "Increases your eyesight up to fifty percent. It's ideal for sniping, or just very good aim."

@La'kuus Quelin

All he was trying to do was converse, as he began to look around a bit. Seeming to seek something to bring up so there wasn't this dead silence between them. Tilting his head to the side as he looked at her, remembering her plethora of weapons and armor. "Do you have a favorite?" Which he grabbed his old blaster and held it up for emphasis. Leaving the DH-17 in its holster and setting the harness on the table. She could see on the harness hung what looked like home made explosives of multiple designs, which accompanied the standard looking pistol and its battery packs. The knife though looked a bit more ornate, it was a straight edge mostly till the tip from the looks of it in the sheath, tilting back in a curved edge. A little sinister grin was emblazoned into the pommel and the hilt which had a little red button protruding from it.

"Been tinkering with my own for a long time. Kinda a past time for me."

La'kuus gave an honest shrug, then raised both her fists into the air to show them off. Nothing special, maybe a little too soft-looking, making them more fit for a classy woman rather than a guard. "I fight with these most of the time, so I guess they're really personal to me. Not to mention they're mine." A half smile rose and fell off her face at the little joke of her own. She eyed the man's weapons, not too interested in them. "Care to tell me about the ship?"

@La'kuus Quelin

Drinking in what she said, he laughed gently at her joke. "And I gotta say, those gals got some power behind them." Tilting his head at her query. "Well, from the beginning or...just a rundown on this bird?" Reaching over to pat the floor with his hand, obviously very attached to this ship by the way he looked.

@La'kuus Quelin

With a nod he leaned back and ran a hand through his mess of hair. Having completely forgotten about his pain. "Lets see. I have upgraded the guidance, fire control and shield distribution software from its factory standard. Other than that, its prettymuch a base model YT. Its not like the eleven or the twelve hundred, not as heavily armored or armed. It doesn't even come with barely the same space. But unlike its older cousins, it has the maneuverability of a fighter and the shield capaciter to handle a good scuffle. Atop of that, even though it can't go to light speed at distances outpacing its older counterparts in endurance-it though can get to places quicker. Hard to explain. It just can outrun most ships in lightspeed. Problem is, the drive overheats if you try to jump to many times.-"

Pointing to the gunnery chair for the laser turret, he continued.

"-as you probably saw, the turret has gotten some upgrades from its rock-blaster counterpart. Atop of that, the radar on the Avalon is still considered one of the best on the market."

Then looked about. "Other than some simple additions. That is about it. What you see is what you get...most of the time."

Something seemed a bit sinister about how he said that last bit, but he showed no real physical signs of it.

His ship was more than what La'kuus had right now. In fact, with her lack of any crew at all, she would be surprised if she got to pilot her own ship, well, that more than a royal transport. With everything the ship had, she was sure she didn't want to be with it for the rest of her time. Probably skip a few adventures on it here and there until she made a big plan to join something and get actual things from it. Credits, for example. Lots of them.

At note to the lightspeed functions, La gently tilted her head to the side. It had been a while since they jumped, perhaps the engines cooled? "How long does it usually take for the light-speed drives?"

@La'kuus Quelin

Olan had no clue as to her intentions, he may have cared or not-but so far, he was fine with offering his home for her to stay until she wanted to leave.

Turning slightly in his seat, he repositioned his injured leg and locked eyes with her for a long moment. As if studying something there. Then just began speaking. "Depends on how far you go. At max distance, gotta let it rest six hours. Small jumps, you can do every fifteen or so minutes. We're gonna be here a few hours, so we might as well get some rest in a bit." Breaking eye contact to begin finishing off his food. In-between cutting pieces and eating.

"Do you have any idea what you want to do on Shadda?" Taking a bit of his food and chewing. "Other than the usual that is...making money." A chuckle escaped his lips before he took the final bite of his steak.

La'kuus gently spun around in her chair as she thought of what she wanted to do. Maybe buy a few things, have a fight... She didn't quite know yet, but she wasn't tired. She gave a shrug in the end, turning to face Olan. "Probably go shopping. What about you? What do you want to do?"

@La'kuus Quelin

Leaning back in his seat he rubbed his chin. "First I gotta make a delivery when planetside. Will give one of my handlers a call before arriving planetside to see if there is any work to be had. Want me to keep an ear out for any jobs for yourself?"

Then he leaned his head back. "I might want to hit one of the markets myself soon as well...need some replacement parts." Thinking out loud this time around as he spoke. Still rubbing his chin.

[member="Olan Teff"]

She quietly waved her hand as if to dismiss Olan's idea, then suddenly stopped it in mid-air as she came across a thought. Flicking eyes back at the man, she gave a silent nod. "I am curious to fighting tactics of the locals... Perhaps if you come across something involving a fight to be had, you could give me word." That chin must be very soft on the other hand. She kind of wanted to stroke it too.

@La'kuus Quelin

Its been about six weeks since you shaved...need to clean up a bit.

His mind wandered off for a moment, only returning back to the present as he noticed her hand stop waving off his offer and her words following after. And indeed, his beard and chin was soft, and yes, he kept stroking it idly as he replied.

"Then when I talk to my handler I will inquire into any rough jobs that would include some action...maybe even mention some explosions."

With that he stood up and cleared the table of the detrius of his meal, turning to limp his way to his room. How he was walking was some sort of miracle or it was extreme force of will. "I'm going to act like an old man and take a quick nap, make a call, then we can continue on our way." He had barely reached his door as he finished his sentence.

@La'kuus Quelin

Olan returned the wave with one of his own and a smile as well. Disappearing into his room quietly to change out of his clothes and rest a bit. Spending a good twenty or so minutes staring at the ceiling of his packed room for awhile, and now also having a snuggle buddy in the way of a broken out drone, Danny. Probably looked quite wacky as he held the thing by its scareb like head.

-------Three hours later------

For a bit, La might hear voices coming from Olans room. Their quite hushed even when up close to the door. But it sounds like the voice and Olan were having a discussion about...flora of some kind. Plants of all things. How warm it needed to be and how much fluid was needed for them to survive. Then it got quiet.

------Two more hours later (If not stopped or confronted)------

With a whish, Olans door opens as he yawns a little. Wrapped in clean clothes once again, but definitely far more form fitting today...well, right now. Black shirt, black pants, his boots and his jacket...and a leg brace on his left leg. "Alright! Time to get this party started!" Seeming quite peppy after being through what many would equate to a 'Rough' day.

The rest La'kuus gotten wasn't much, and she didn't need all that much. Being a worker like she was, from birth sleeping an average of four to six hours, she didn't often get more time than she needed for that kind of stuff. Though the sounds weren't confronted as they came from the room, La'kuus did open her eyes from her thinking as the man walked in.

She adjusted in the seat to sit up, looking at his new state. Looked... cleaner. Somehow. "Alright. We're going to do another jump?"
