Purely aesthetic. Beyond the fact that he would be able to hit harder with it, I don't plan on adding any combat attachments to it. ICly, I plan to have Zangoff beaten within an inch of his life, losing an arm in the process. This would replace his lost limb. Okay, so we can put lighting aside in that case. What if it were plasma, covered by a force field? In this case, maybe whoever touched the plasma part would get a slight burn, like with training sabers. How well would that work? @[member="Kära Vi'dreya"]

It sounds like an awful lot of fussing from an IC standpoint just to get a new arm. I don't think there are any rules against it, but it's not really practical either. Look at it this way: you'd have to constantly keep the energy going, which would eat through credits, all for aesthetics? It could be used against you in PVP too. I don't think it would be practical but to each, their own. As for the mechanics of it, you'd have to speak to a resident tech-head to figure out some viable way for it to work.

I just saw the image when I was looking for a new avatar, and it seemed a interesting idea to incorporate losing an arm to get something like that, since I was planning on the 'getting beat within an inch of his life' even before then. Anyway, I do want him to lose something. (I just have a habit of putting my characters in danger) How practical would it to make this into a full mechanical hand?

It's a lightsaber gauntlet, and perfectly in the rulebook as far as canon is concerned.

Good. I'd like him to struggle a bit. He might not even use the blade at first, and try to get used to having a mechanical hand first. One last question, then. Would this require a dev thread? @[member="Kära Vi'dreya"]

My Character carries around a Guitar every so often. and I was wondering If I needed to create a submission for it. Though it can hide a Lightsaber in the Neck of the guitar, it could be used as a weapon (just bashing peoples heads in, like they say, a smashed guitar sounds better than un-smashed) So would I need to make one for this guitar?

If your guitar doesn't slice the air when you hit a power chord or control the minds of ropos during a moving chorus, then it's really just a guitar with a hidden compartment. Don't clutter any more than you need to to cover your own arse. :p

The likelihood is yes, however there is a lot of tech in that forum at present and your submission is new in comparison. Patience young grasshopper. :)

Now what if I said that I had learned how to control the force through Music? (Anara Valnor taught me and the best that I can do is hear the music force and amplify my sounds)

That has nothing to do with the guitar itself. As it stands, this is just a guitar as stated above. Amplification of noise etc is not due to the guitar, but your abilities through the Force. Therefore the same response shall be given; it's not needed. Don't needlessly flood the Factory. :)

Is it your specific guitar that gives you that ability?

Fabula is an amazing duelist, but she'd be just as good with any other lightsaber. She's more comfortable with her own, but they aren't what gives her her abilities. Likewise, your guitar is a tool through which you channel your (shudder...) musical Force mojo. If the guitar is what gives you the ability, then it's a tech sub. If it's just an instrument like any other, then there really isn't any reason to do another tech sub.

EDIT: Sniped! Curse you, Kära!
