Casus Belli (Tygaran Alliance/Galactic Alliance vs First Order Rebellion of Kaeshana)

Trextan was met head on by the Ren, his violet blade turned aside as his enemy launched into a routine focussed on wide, powerful strokes. Trex stubbornly – and unwisely – attempted to meet his opponent’s assault head on. Each impact from the mechanically augmented strikes sent pain lancing up his wrists and through his shoulders. His retreat was slow, but he didn’t find an opening to halt it. When some space opened up between them he brought his saber in tight and prepared a more effective counter.

“Get down!”

Trextan almost didn’t heed the call. As focussed as he was on his opponent he didn’t hear the whine of TIE vessels screaming overhead. A soldier had to drag him down as the world seemed to explode around him. He closed his eyes tight, instinctively summoning a barrier that took the sting from the heat.

A more welcome sound followed. X-Wings from the Alliance fleet had made it down to offer ground support. Several gave chase whilst others strafed First Order positions in return. These trenches were being turned into a living hell.

Trextan should have sought out Jacen. He should have regrouped. But the hot-headed youth had found his challenge and wasn’t done yet. That blade was all too visible.

“On me!” he called and several soldiers followed him.

“Trex, wait!” called a voice, but he didn’t listen. They moved down the trench, using it as cover as the young Voidstalker cut down stromtroopers in his path. When he finally had the Ren in his sights again he slipped his sonic rifle from its strap and fired. The air shimmered as the wave rushed forwards. He didn’t even think to use the stun setting, just fired twice on full power to try and turn the Ren’s internal organs to mush, or at least give him a blinding headache through his barrier.

Snap-hiss

This time he wouldn’t meet those powerful sweeps head on, but go for more energy efficient parries and short, swift thrusts when the spaces presented themselves. A change of tactic, but there were still edges to knock off Trextan’s approach to warfare.

Enemies: [member="FN-888"], the First Order
Objective: Cut Them Down

Hide? Oh he certainly hadn't been trying to hide, and as the flames spewed towards him he instinctively barreled to his left under the walls. Theoretically he could've survived the flames, but he'd never put that aspect of his armor to the test, it had failed before and fire was something he wasn't willing to take that chance with.

Rolling through the muck he reached to his side and primed a thermal detonator and hurled it across the divide and into the trench, right next to the flame trooper unless by some miracle they shot the device midair. Now he lifted his head and rifle up and as he moved he unleashed a barrage of blaster fire at the troopers, putting fire on them in an attempt to make fleeing from the explosive all the more difficult.

The grim death’s head engraving on his visor peered ominously towards the First Order soldiers, the blasts of his rifle illuminating the opaque visor. Had these been pirates or even troops from the fallen One Sith he’d have charged their trench with a scattergun and his blades and eviscerated them by now, but the First Order’s troopers like him had been fighting or training to fight as long as they could remember, and that had made them dangerous, and he respected that. Though he’d still kill them.

"All long range fire seems to have been absorbed by their shield, Admiral. We are reading little to no damage to the hull of the ship." The sensor officer reported, continuing, "It looks like that Victory, a sister ship and one of their Empire frigates are starting to turn about to engage us."

"Continue ripple fire on long range weaponry, and close the distance. Target all three ships. We're still to their aft, let's hammer them before they can present weapons to us. Escorts out front." She ordered. The Morrow Reserve fleet began to move forward. "Sentinels and Belsar, reserve fire. All Escorts close the gap and fire all weaponry." Her orders were given calmly, with her still standing by the holo table.

Out in space, the whole fleet moved forward, towards the two Victory-X's and single Empire frigate that were turning to engage. The escorts, faster than the Sentinels and Belsar, slipped forward, giving the fleet an angular appearance. The long range weaponry was continuing to fire in ripple pattern, sending 12 Heavy Javelin rounds, 54 Heavy Mini Javelin rounds, 40 standard energy torpedoes, 92 light energy torpedoes, 12 Long range Heavy Turbolasers, and 4 Long range Heavy Ion Cannon rounds, spread as evenly over the rear of the three ships turning to engage. As the ships continued to close the distance, the other capital weaponry on the escorts began to fire at the extremity of their range. 10 octuple turbolaser canon batteries, 50 Dual Heavy Ion Cannon Turrets, and 60 cluster concussion missile pods began to go into ripple fire from the Noble class Star Defenders Kaetara and Shandar. The three Horn class Escort Cruisers, Fondor Ascendant, Sullust Star, and Atrisia Resurgent, joined their total of 15 cluster concussion missile pods and 135 quad-laser canon turrets to the ripple fire from the fleet. Bantha, Sandpanther, and Vornskyr, the three Thranta class escorts, fired their total of 36 Ion cannon turrets, 12 Hypervelocity cannon turrets, and 36 quad laser cannon turrets; while the Hammerhead frigates Erso, Andor, Malbus, and Imwe, shot their total of 16 Turbolaser batteries and 16 Ion Cannon batteries, and the Nebulon B7's Griswald, Taylor, Sawyer, Finch, and Sullivan fired their total of 50 Dual Turbolaser turrets, 50 Ion cannon turrets, and 50 concussion missile launchers.

All of this fire focused on the three ship that had begun to turn to face the fleet closing on their rear.

Actions:
1) Continued moving closer to Carlyle Rausgeber's fleet from the opposite side of where [member="Vilin"]'s fleet is.
2) Fired a feth ton of munitions at the three ships designated to turn and engage my ships.

Sardun!

The telekinetic pass over to the Jedi Master was loud, blunt, and rather short. Typical Aeron. A glance would catch her line of sight towards the reinforcements given by the massive Transports.

Bet you I can disable more of these than you.

Challenge made. Challenge accepted.

Twelve FRT-01's fired upon Reavers while the laser cannons fired upon infantry that tried to assault other positions. As did the eight8 F4L-AW's. All of which would find themselves in a violent telekinetic path of multiple FRT-01's tanks being picked up by the Zeison Sha telekinetic and slammed over and over again into the F4L-AW's.

Zeison Sha were powerful telekinetics, and it would be apparent as [member="Michael Sardun"] joined her in the fray moving from the Northside towards the rest of the incoming transports, tanks, and vehicles. Powerful blasts would hit near the woman, prompting her to roll and duck away from the explosion, but shrapnel still managed to strike at her. Bruises were sure to bloom under her armor as were the protest of muscles. However, adrenaline was running hot. There was no rage, no anger. Just pure, focused, concentration. Siobhan had taught her that back in the Pyre.

When blasts came her way, she used the FRT-01's tanks as shields, swinging them up and them blasting them back onto the delicate legs of the F4L-AW's, every intention of disabling or destroying them so as to stop them dead in their tracks. The massive blast of the distant Sabercat got her attention.

Every stride was purposeful, as were those of the other Omega Pyre Shadow Masters and soldiers on the ground as they too fought with the First Order soldiers.

Every piece of ground claimed one step at a time with no slowing and no mercy.

What the TIE Interceptor had done was to allow Choli to overshoot her, which now had the rogue promptly in the First Order pilot's sights.

"poodoo."

Her warning pings came. They were like Klaxons in her ears along with R4's shrill cries.

"I see it Arr-Four!"

[member="Sara Lee Jones"] wasn't the only one with tricks.

[ Got someone on my six Rogue Two! ] Choli communicated to her Wingman.

[ Do dey xaeo, Nlekora Kam. Soc kuklo. ] «I see her, Rogue Seven. Moving up.»

The Force surged through the pilot, heightening her senses, awareness of her position allowing her to focus.

Right.

With a pitch of her stick, Choli made a power dive, resulting in a 90 degree vertical turn that would boost evasion from direct fire weapons and evade lock on missiles.

Sara would find Rogue Two adjusted to come at her tail, locking in for another Brilliant missile aimed to home in.

Red Squadron soared in the air, continuing their strafing fire and dogfighting with Ludolf's forces below. Red Eleven and Red Twelve did not break away from Bolt Flight.

Red Four and Red Eight, on the other hand, were not so lucky.

Both were struck by Bolt Flight and were one with the Force.

"Commander, ship coming out of hyperspace behind us."
"Thank you Lieutenant, launch the fighters, and bring the denials to assist against their fighters. Tell the Subjugator to engage that Star Defender, We will support when needed."
"Aye Commander." Halsey keyed in the orders to the comms panel, and the ships started to make their move.
"Commander Piett to all gunnery stations on the Indomitable focus fire on the last of their Thranta classes. Helm move us broadside, and hit and to give a shot at that Trimiran as well."
The helm officer nodded and started to make the course corrections the Commander ordered. Aran look out into the battle, this was far more intense than the Ssi-Ruuvi, but he was ready.
"Ensign, tell Jager squadron to focus the Trimiran bridge, with everything they got. Get Obsidian Squadron running cover for them. The rest of our Starfighters engage those A-wings, I don't want them anywhere near the Indomitable."
"Aye Commander." The Flight officer responeded.
Aran rested his hand on his chin, thinking how this battle could be won, or possible how he could force the retreat of this Alliance fleet back over to their side of the galaxy. Lieutenant Halsey walked over beside him to stare out at the combat unfolding. This could both be a beginning to a great career for both of them or then end of a decent career. Only time would tell.
"Lieutenant get me the Commodore please."
"Aye sir."
"Commodore, we have been engaged by what seems to be a reserve fleet, I've taken out one Valor, and crippled a Hammerhead, focusing on their last Thranta at long range, hope that will assist you out. Commander Piett out."
Aran walked over to the comms console himself, and keyed in an order to the Daggers to start harassing any starfighters than got close to the Indomitable. The two Daggers moved in closer with the Indomitable, this way the Command ship could assist them if they came under fire.
"Commander one of the denials reports heavy fire from turbolasers. Also Missiles inbound."
"Understood, get the Daggers to try to shoot down the missiles, have that denial try to get out of there we will take care of that Nobel. Also have all Denials and Daggers activate their EWAR, make sure they can't jam us."
"Aye Commander."
Halsey keyed in the orders again quickly. Aran made the right choice making her his XO, she became a great asset to him, and could almost think tactics out quicker than he could.
"Commander, we have some minor damage to the engines, some of the missiles got though the screen. As for everything else Commander shields are holding but if this is sustained we have a problem. "
"That's alright, we should still be fine for the time being."
1x Resurgent Class, FIV Indomitable Turning Broadside to attack both the original fleet, and the reserve that has shown up. (Minor Engine damage, shields holding but will fail if continued assault.)
1xVictory X FIV Subjugator Moved to engage the Command ship for the reserve fleet.
3x Denial Class Escorts Set to engage any fighters/bombers that make runs on the cruiser, and Resurgent. Turned on their EWAR to prevent jamming . (One taking fire.)
2x Dagger Class Escorts Formed up near the Resurgent to prevent bombing runs. Turned on EWAR to prevent jamming

Jedi Service Corps & Allies [member="Anya Venari"]

The New Jedi Service Corps arrived at Dusk along with the Eldorai counterparts. Makeshift defenses, barricades, heavy weapons emplacements and flak had been set up by Angelii and Kar'zun along with the deployment of an Aspis shield. With the relocation of all refugees from the northern lands to the gathered cities of the east, the ruins were quickly becoming packed with bodies of both civilian and defensive forces.

The set up of the Darksky would commence here, as another layer of protection around the area. It would just take time.

"Master Qel-Droma, you are needed by the Angelii Commander."

Rhen gave a nod.

There was so much to do and so little time. Perhaps he would meet with [member="Anya Venari"] there.

The Stormtrooper regiment had taken appreciable losses. But they were not out of the fight yet. Venturing further into the mountains where enemy armor would be hard-pressed to follow, they began to reform and regroup. They had to keep low and use their surrounding terrain to keep from being exposed to air attacks from [member="Choli Vyn"]'s squadron, which was still periodically haranguing them. While they may not have had air superiority on this side of the battlefield, at least they had the advantage of terrain on the ground.

Further into the mountains they went, and some units began setting up their own TI-S mortars in order to combat the array of enemy tanks and 250 Firemane troops that [member="Tempest"] had left on the enemy's rear flank. From their vantage point in the mountains, they would fire down at the enemy infantry while staying mobile, doing their best to relocate.

Meanwhile, Ludolf had set off on his own. Stealthily, he crept down the mountain again, keeping close to the rock formations and doing his best to stay out of sight. He had personally selected three other Stormtroopers to accompany him in his small assault - who were no doubt slightly offput when they were told that the Sith Emperor demanded their service. Most likely, they simply figured that the Supreme Commander had made a mistake, due to fatigue perhaps. In reality it was quite the opposite.

Ambush-style tactics were always Ludolf's favorite. He had grown tired of simply commanding troops; now, his programming had completely taken over. The Supreme Commander had reverted to his original design - that of an Agent of the Sith Empire, which had chosen him as their victim and had forcefully tampered with his mind, turning him into a cold, merciless killer.

But could he consider himself a victim if he actually enjoyed it?

One of the enemy Reaver tanks had strayed towards them in an effort to get closer to the retreating Stormtrooper forces. That would be his team's target. One of Ludolf's Stormtroopers tossed a concussion grenade in its path, providing the necessary distraction. Ludolf and another Stormtrooper crept behind the Reaver and opened fire on their turret stations - the Stormtrooper with his blaster rifle, Ludolf with his pistol sidearm. Ludolf's repeated blasts to the chest were enough to quickly take down the gunner behind the heavy repeating blaster turret, but his companion was not so lucky. The gunner behind the flamethrower was able to react in time and unleash fire upon the Stormtrooper, grotesquely incinerating him. Yet Ludolf had climbed aboard the tank's hull, and quickly unleashed a blaster bolt into the head of the gunner at point blank range.

It felt good to kill again - like scratching a long-lingering itch. By this time, his two remaining Stormtrooper compatriots had also boarded the tank, and Ludolf climbed towards the hatch. He was immediately met by another enemy crewman reacting to the commotion outside - who himself was summarily met by another blaster bolt to the head at point blank range. His body tumbled back down into the hatch, followed by Ludolf himself, who was first inside the tank. The last remaining crewman inside wheeled around and attempted to draw his weapon in time to blast the Supreme Commander. Vaas caught his arm and kicked him backwards as the other two Stormtroopers came inside the tank. The crewman lost his grip on his weapon, and the struggle immediately turned into a wrestling match on the ground as Vaas mounted him. His hands were all over the crewman's neck, and then his elbow thrust into the bottom of his chin, exposing his neck. Ludolf seized the opportunity to sink his vibroblade into the underside of the crewman's jaw; he had to shove it in forcefully to achieve penetration, but now he could feel the enemy's life dissipating beneath him as Ludolf stared down at him with cold, emotionless blue eyes.

Pulling the vibroblade back out actually required some effort. Meanwhile, the rest of the Odile Vaiken Legion was beginning to arrive outside - but Ludolf's main concern was now figuring out how to pilot this thing with what remained of his makeshift crew.

Djacen and his troops quickly set up battle lines. The center of the line held the twenty Bhesj main battle tanks, flanked on either side by ten of the twenty remaining Manticore heavy support tanks. The fifteen Hydra Anti-Air tanks were dispersed throughout the formation of Main Battle and Heavy Support tanks, actively scanning the sky for targets. The extreme flanks on the right and left side, as well as the vanguard and rear guard held the two thousand combat infantry soldiers Djacen had with him, with the combat engineers coming up behind the tanks, and before the rear guard. The Special Forces Operators had moved forward of the vanguard to designate targets for the Artillery back at the FOB.

"Alright Renegades. Lets go get some!" Djacen said over the shielded comm frequency used by his command, the obligatory verbal fluff that helped some soldiers concentrate better, and let others voice hoo-rahs to release tension. It was all about keeping his soldiers calm, especially in the face of battle. He had dubbed them after his old troop, Renegade Company. The entire force moved forward, keeping to the speed of their slowest vehicle. They moved as a disciplined mass, the infantry out front moving from cover to cover, guarding the armor from massed attacks as they made their way over the rough terrain.

"Contact front. We are within sight of the Citadel." A soldier from the vanguard called over the comms. The whole force moved in concert as it focused on where the soldier had designated the contact on their HUDs. Blaster fire sparked up as Djacen's command engaged the storm troopers occupying this section of the Citadel. Moments later, the armor spoke, sending mass driver and railgun rounds into the massed forces arrayed against them, while the anti-personnel weapons on them were more exacting with their fire, focusing on softening up the Stormtroopers defensive line. Infantry dug in as best they could, then added their rifles and SAWs to the fire.

"Don't get comfortable, soften them up, then we push!" He said over the comms, then switched to his engineer only frequency. "Firemane Engineers, I want that Aspis operational, don't activate it until I give the order, but set it up here. Alliance engineers, you have overwatch!" He ordered. The Firemane engineers got busy setting up an Aspis shield generator several meters behind the armor line. This one was rated to protect "building" sized objects. His GA engineers provided cover from any attempted flanking maneuvers as they worked.

::FOB/Artillery::
::30 Typhoons, 15 Hydras, 10 Manticores, 10 Bhesj, 4 Companies of Engineers, 4 Companies of Combat Infantry, 144 Medical Personnel, Dropships::
The Special Forces operators had a few targets that were designated as targets of interest, and the uber AT-AT's called Sabercats definitely qualified. Specially trained for long distance operation, the SFO's had moved higher into the mountains by a bit, so they overlooked all of Citadel Dawn. They were not massed, as that would defeat the purpose of sneaking, but enough of them had good views of the second Sabercat at the Citadel to lase it with several laser designators from various vectors. Each few moments, another would lase onto it, as more operators gained good vantage points.

Back at the Forward Operating Base, General Haish was standing in a hastily built command tent, honestly wishing they'd brought a prefab command center.

"Sir, we have a target for the Artillery. We have twenty-seven good locks on the same target...coming in from various altitudes. We are slim on cardinal variance, however, but we have enough to engage." The technician manning the targeting computer said as he watched his screen updating with telemetry.

"What's the target look like?"

"Wow..." The tech said, then whistled as the visual ident came back as a Sabercat. "..she's a big one. Sabercat walker."

"Hmmm..." Haish replied, watching the data evolve as more operators brought their designators to bear. "Take it out, HE munitions. Ripple fire the tanks and follow it's progress, I want as high a precision on each shot as possible, so have the gunner be sure of the telemetry and targeting data."

A few moments later, the first few artillery tanks fired high explosive rounds at the Sabercat. Then another few, rippling their fire to keep up a near constant barrage, taking reload times into account.

As that was going on, the Firemane Engineers at the FOB were busy erecting an Aspis shield similar to the one Djacen had, but a little better. This one rated to cover a city. It was set up in the middle of the FOB, offering the best coverage to both the mobile hospital and the artillery. FOBs tended to be targets of orbital bombardments and bombing runs, making the addition of shielding to be a major boon. Once it was up and running, several of the engineers remained with it, maintaining it as the shield was set to allow the artillery munitions through in the ripple effect. The GADF engineers, meanwhile, were focused on building up the terrain around the FOB, creating a more solid line of defense.

::Aerial Escort::
::24 Knights, 24 Paladins, 10 Peregrines, 6 Inimicas::
With Djacen's force on the ground and covered by AA tanks, the FOB protected by the same and a tough shield, the Aerial Escort was given freedom to pursue targets of opportunity before returning to the FOB for refueling and rearming. Almost instantly, they had [member="laira vereen"] and [member="pierce fortan iii"] on their radar mixing it up over a downed Sabercat. The gunship, astonishingly, made a full aerial stop, then shot back near a kilometer. The gunship pilots of the escort were impressed and jealous, but the lone gunship Laira flew was up against overwhelming odds, even for a pilot and ship that could do that.

"Ladies and Gents, looks like we are late to the dance...shall we crash it?" The lead Paladin said, she was met by a resounding affirmative, as they were itching to get into the fight. "Weapons free on the ties." She said, then tapped a few commands on her panel, syncing her data to the FOBs computers, so they would be able to monitor the battle. 64 member Aerial Escort Wing angled forward, Knights and Paladins forming the edge for the gunships. As soon as they were within range, they would find enemy TIEs and enter into the engagement with them, firing their munitions with practiced discipline.

With Lieutenant Van KIA, Sergeant Illarian had taken command of the Company, and moved them to the front lines of battle. She started to get the troopers spread out on the line, and have them setup E-Web emplacements for the Stormtrooper units. As well as other defensive works for when the time was needed to use them. This was new territory for the Sgt. but she always felt she ran the company more than Garett did, even though she respected Garett more than anything.
"2nd Platoon shore up those defenses on the right flank there. You there trooper *points to a slacking trooper* get your armor in gear and get that emplacement up. Let go go go, I want this to be the wall the sea of Alliance troops break upon and meet their maker."
Illarian barked more and more orders, she didn't take nothin from no one. Lieutenant Van's last words put her in charge so it didn't matter if one of the platoon leaders felt like this was insubordination or not. Illarian was going to follow Garett's words to the letter, and command this unit. She opened the visor of her helmet to get a real view of the landscape and battlefield. Things were chaos, but that was the nature of war.
"I want First Platoon to be on call for anyone who needs us for demolition support. So get your detpacks ready."
First Platoon's Lieutenant nodded, and started to bark the orders to his men.
"Third platoon send a squad over to [member="FN-888"] position and setup E-Webs for them"
One of the squads rush off towards 888's trench with the E-Webs in tow.
"Rest of Third Platoon I want you to setup a AP minefield in front of our position. Get it done ASAP."

The firestorm of the destroyed AW's was only just dying down, when Aeron grabbed his attention and directed it towards the incoming troops in their way.

Feth, where were they getting all these mooks?

"Done." A wicked grin started to play. "If I win, you let me take you out on a date."

He didn't specify what would happen otherwise, mostly because Sardun knew he would win. Call it the Jedi arrogance, call it something else entirely, but the adrenaline was flooding through his systems now and it felt good. Didn't even feel the burns, cuts and bruises he had accumulated throughout the battle.

Didn't doubt that there would be a pay-off at the end of this, but that felt very far away now.

As Aeron started dishing out damage from a distance, Sardun pushed himself off the ground and got into a run. He dashed, left to right, falling to the ground to avoid another blast from the Sabercat. That thing needed to die and die pretty fast, it was getting out of hand, even for him. For some reason the Jedi Master doubted even he would be able to take a shot like that to the face and still be standing his ground.

Once again Sardun called upon the Force, magnifying his physical strength, his durability and speed, and got to work. In between Sabercat shots, he lashed out and broke apart any armor that stood in his way. His focus was spread too thin though and blaster fire caught him across the leg.

He incapacitated the offender, but it burned like a fether.

No, not stopping now. The anger was extinguished with serenity and his arms grabbed firmly hold of another armored vehicle, his eyes were set on the gorram Sabercat. He had just fired again, there was a lull in the moment as the blasted thing needed to recharge and Sardun took advantage of it.

The tank was send flying, at the Sabercat, to take it out of the equation entirely.

Objective: Give 3rd platoon some overdue backup

Enemies: [member="Dish"] + Grand Alliance

And what was the forecast? A downpour of proton carpet-bombing. The hardware descended upon the surface with all the grace of angels, obliterating Citadel grounds and enemy forces within the entire area. Bee's stormtroopers cheered at the spectacle. That air support had to soften them up and then some. "Now we move in, clean up." She remembered the unit under heavy fire that she'd heard from.

She brought her platoon back into the ruins of the Citadel in tight formation, keeping a low profile despite the devastation around them, and swiftly finishing any dazed GA stragglers in their way that miraculously survived. When she neared the trenches, she halted her unit and signalled them into cover, mindful to avoid detection from any infantry ahead. She saw a mobile trooper's IFF tag stop and turn to grey, their vitals going flat without a sign of blaster fire, revealing an enemy position in a trench. The friendlies in the opposite trench ([member="FN-888"]) probably saw her unit's tags approaching before she brought them up on comms, speaking quietly into her microphone, though the sounds of battle ought to cover her voice. "3rd platoon, this is 6th platoon moving to assist."

Shots rang out from the nearest trench towards 3rd platoon. Approaching the situation with subtlety, Bee used her HUD to paint waypoints and divide her platoon, moving in at points on both sides and behind the enemy's trench, with hopes of flanking him. She told her team to stay low, keep quiet and stick to cover. One more point she placed just on the hindward lip of the trench for her pair of flametroopers. She joined her riflemen at one of the sides of the trench to get eyes on the hostile (Dish)... just one, and marked his location. When they were in position, those with a line of sight aimed down into the ditch. Bee herself lined up her shot. "Weapons free." They opened fire on the supersoldier, and the flametroopers' Incinerators roared to life, spewing twin streams of blazing conflagrine-14 into the trench. The troops to the rear were ready to [member="Dish"] out suppressing blaster fire, intending to close off that route.

Location: High orbit over Kaeshana, enroute to Citadel Airspace
Objective: Link up with FO Forces
Allies: First Order
Enemies: Galactic Alliance

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=je03N9pApxg

It was just a party down on Kaeshana's surface, the Alliance doubling down on sending more soldiers to their deaths over a doomed planet no one cared about a week ago until the First Order raised its cute red flags. They were persistent, she would give them that. The FO seemed to have a hold on the naval situation, while ground forces were being bombarded with a constant stream of reinforcements from the Alliance, so she decided to refocus her attention on ground ops and lead personally lead the operation planetside.

Far away from the action of the naval action between the First Order and the Alliance (and the Imperial Remnant?!), Face appeared over Kaeshana in high orbit, leading a pair of Kyramud from her personal Fang fighter as an escort. The battleships stuck around long enough to disgorge their compliment of Shaadlar, basilisk, and starfighters, then jumped out of the system to rejoin the main Tekkadan body.

A pair of LSR had jumped under the cover of the detachment, splitting up to do their own reconnaissance mission in the system. The rest of her ships would be held in reserve in case the Alliance sprung up some more fleets.

"We made it safe and sound," Face reported to Shockley as she guided her troopships through a calm gap in the turbulent atmosphere of Kaeshana. She had left him in command of the ships as her Exo. "Have fun keeping my chair warm."

"I'm just having the time of my life." he responded drily. The rally master wasn't a happy camper being cooped up playing babysitter.

"Alright, gang," she addressed the landing party as she leveled out just under the clouds. "The Alliance has been getting away with its rear echelon remaining untouched. That changes now. We're going to make the airspace too hot for them to land anything big, and destroy whatever hardware they've already dumped on this mudball."

"Transports, bombers, and riders, get low. I want the attention of their AA on our fighters."

When they came into range of whatever air defense systems that the Alliance had put into place, she would use her fighters as bait to trigger them into revealing their positions for destruction. Once a corridor had been established, then it would be open season on Alliance ground forces at the rear and along the front lines.

The airspace was now quite congested as a massive air battle was underway, but as FO and GA were currently at parity, she could probably work without too much interference. However, if she peeled off some fighters from the front, then that just worked in her favor to relieve the pressure from the FO army.

The brilliant missile adjusted course. As it was a homing missile, it wouldn't be so easy to deter. However, the TIE Incterceptor was fast and could just maybe pull off not getting hit - until it struck the chaff and the sonic concussion along with the shrapnel would go crashing against the delicate TIE interceptor.

Green fire went flying through the skies, painting the blue of the sky with streaks of green and red.

R4 gave another screech and beep, doing his best to start fixing minor damage beside him.

"Okay, okay! No, I am NOT trying to get your shot up!'

A sudden snap turn and the TR-20 X-Wing gave a quick 180 degree lateral turn, boosting evasion with the advanced maneuverability suite it had.

Red Squadron continued the fight against Bolt Flight, while more ground fire would hit the storm troopers regiment at [member="Ludolf Vaas"] ' s location. They caught sight of the movement moving into the mountains and Red Seven, and Eight took to picking off those units.

"Admiral, a message from Commodore [member="Vilin"]"

"Patch it through"

“This is Vilin to Thuku and Gould. I cannot turn about without giving the enemy this flank. I need a heavy cruiser diverted to take on that Victory X. I’ll deal with the Resurgent.”

"Fourth Fleet, this is Therapy Command. I'm afraid that the enemy is massing on my flank, I'm on the right of the main Alliance battle line, you're at the other end"

"Enemy escorts incoming! Forward shields are down! Light damage reported to the bow"

"Divert half the power from the aft shields to the forward shields!"

"Roger, roger"

"Trench batteries, fire at the Chargers and the Corsairs, port dorsal batteries, engage the Vanguard, starboard dorsal batteries, Excubitor missile batteries, engage the Scylla"

Hmmm... the Relentless has retreated? But the missile fire has been ineffective, she thought when she saw the Relentless being transformed into a half-eaten sandwich. Also Carlyle has made his advance towards Therapy Command. The First Order has lost two Imperator-Xs, time has come to make them lose a third one. Yet, as both fleets began to use and deploy attack craft, and that Carlyle's escorts are the only bits from his fleet to make it past the Darr Itah, which she decided to leave alone. Thus far they managed to cause limited damage to the shields of the Trimaran and the Hero of Coruscant, which were, understandably, higher-priority targets for the enemy escorts than the Dahrtag was. Meanwhile, the Dahrtag exchanged fire with one of the Victory-Xs, thereafter designated as VD-1. Also, it took heavy fire, and damage, from what units the light enemy units could muster. In one last-ditch effort, it diverted all power from the weapons, and other non-essential systems, concentrating all its shield power to the forward arcs, coming in and crashing upon the Scylla's bridge tower, now within standard turbolaser range of the Excubitor. By now an assortment of escorts, such as the Chargers, Corsairs and Daggers are all over the place; 28 assault concussion missiles and are expected to impact the third destroyer after the Dahrtag hits the bridge tower and explodes against it. And 21 more are trained at the Scylla by virtue of the three Volksgrenadiers being fired at it. Also 12 Lusankya shots are being fired that way, in addition to 12 Nekogal and 6 Bulkhunter shots each on the Scylla and the Vanguard. Likewise, the Chargers and the Corsairs are being fired upon by hundreds of turbolaser shots fired from the rapid-fire turbolasers, soon to be added by other ships firing their trench turbolasers at them. Given the fast nature of the escorts, other enemy ships, or even attack craft, may be taking fire not originally intended for them, and everyone acknowledged as much.

"Hypervelocity cannons, Trimaran, fire all available weapons at the Vanguard! Hero of Coruscant, use your trench batteries and target the incoming Daggers! As for your missile batteries, aim for the Victory designated Victor Delta-1! And one dorsal battery"

"Roger, roger" the captain of the Hero of Coruscant acknowledged.

"Nebulons, concentrate all your fire on the Daggers! Dreadnoughts, advance and aim for the Victory designated Victor Delta 2!"

"Acknowledged"

"Group 1, group 2, make your attack runs on your designated targets and then return to the fleet. All other squadrons, prepare for incoming fighter attacks!"

"Admiral, which targets are our designated targets?"

"Group 1, target the Vanguard, group 2, target the Victory designated VD-1"

That's a lot of different targets, but the fighter groups designated as Groups 1 and 2 attacked their designated targets, coming under heavy fire, and unleashed what proton rockets they could at their designated targets' bridge towers, and swiftly returned to the fleet afterward. While the Trimaran unleashed 50 assault concussion missiles they called Morcuses, and hundreds of turbolaser shots have been fired at the enemy escorts. As for the dorsal batteries of the Hero of Coruscant, the port dorsal battery fired on the Victory designated VD-2, while the starboard battery fired on the other Victory, here designated VD-1. Also, the point-defense of all these ships began picking off TIEs and especially bombers, hoping to intercept as many enemy attack craft as possible, and the remaining bombers left behind mostly used one squadron to attack each frigate they could that arrived within their range. But this was the early rounds of battle, and fighters would furiously engage each other, while point-defense was more focused on the bombers because they were a lot slower and thus easier to pick off.

From cover through cover, the squad advanced carefully as they monitored the area with all the fancy sensors on their helmets. The two scouts ahead had not reported anything as of yet. This did not mean that Jude would carelessly stroll through the streets. The F-11D in his arms as he carefully monitored the area not only with his eyes but with the Force.

That is why his eyes widened in shock along with pain when the familiar sound of metal hitting metal struck his kneepad. The duraplast cracked but was able to prevent the pellet from piercing. The kinetic power behind the it was immense and Jude fell back as if struck in his knee by a hammer. Another sound of pellet fizzled but deadweighting down on the ground had saved him from another strike. Sweat immediately broke off his brow but his experience as a soldier quickly made him roll to chunk of thick duracrete that did have no holes within it. Not the biggest cover but being flat on the ground was a plus.

"Contact!!" Jude gathered all the strength to report to the rest of the stormtroopers that moved in an echelon formation. "Two o'clock!"

That's all the information he could gather from the trajectory the pellet had arrived. No sound except for the supersonic 'echo' of the pellet meant it was a shatter gun or some other weapon utilizing electromagnetic firing mechanisms. Was it a sniper ? It most likely was. The worst of it, though, was that Jude, nor the stormtroopers, had any idea of the enemy. Jude could not even feel the enemy in the Force. This was very troubling. If it was a sniper, then he had insane skills to strike Jude from a sniper's distance through a tiny gap he had not noticed in the previous cover.

Or insane luck.

No. He had to be closer. There was no chance Jude was believing this sniper was 1km away.

The shuffling quick movements of the stormtroopers as they reorganized and focused their complete attention at two o'clock.

"Nothing, Sir." One of the scout stormtroopers reported through the comlink. This whole situation was becoming baffling to both the squad and to Jude. Was he near enough to be flanked or was he further away ? Their phantom menace was somewhere there and had at least some sort of visuals on the stormtroopers.

"Look at any two o'clock positions that could have had direct line of fire towards my position." Jude ordered. "Shoot at anything that moves. " He declared still lying completely flat on the ground.

"Detecting miniature sound textures on my sensor, two o'clock, four story building. Can't pinpoint anything, could be the blizzard." The other scout reported from his cover.

"Captain, orders ?" The sergeant of the squad's voice came over through the comlink. Jude remained silent for a moment. There was a lot to contemplate on to but he did not have the luxury of time. "Call for air support and order suppressive fire on the building the scout detected abnormalities in the sound pattern. Move to encircle the building if no precise fire is registered."

No reply followed but an immediate execution of the orders. If Jude's gamble did not pay off, the stormtroopers could be out as ducks in a duck hunt but if it did - their mysterious threat would be besieged on all sides.

The squad popped as minimally as possible from their covers and poured rain upon the building, with the most noticeable suppressive fire coming from the heavy blaster repeater of their machine gun man. Jude retained his position for this moment. If it was just one enemy, their numbers could prove vital if they were able to locate the phantom.

Within the Communication Tower

So death had come for all of them at the hands of the Mon Cal Sith and his allies. Each of the rebel commandos who had been dispatched to take the Communication had been dealt with, and the last remaining survivor found himself at the complete control of his assailant.
There was no will stronger then that of the dark warrior controlling the solider, his young face twisted into a featureless wall of complete submission.
“General Kira Vaal of the Underground, Rebellion movement and Strategic Intelligence Service. The Rebellion is seeking to sow disruption through the First Order cause and allow the freedom of the oppressed under their unlawful control.” The soldier stated with a completely expressionless voice. “We were ordered to obtain control of the communication tower in order to dispatch vital intelligence to the Alliance Fleet and to Fulcrum.” His eyes began to roll as the radios began to transmit a message from another nearby ally…

Rebellion Commando’s Currently En-Route.

“Get me a signal.” Kira ordered to the nearest Rebel who was carrying a larger communicator then she was, the only unit that was currently picking up the message of [member="Ryan Korr"]. “Doesn’t have to be encrypted or anything, just patch me through.”
A thumbs up was offered.
“Korr this is Agent Vaal, SIS.” She spoke down the comm hoping that he was hearing her. “I read you. We are coming in towards the tower from the West. I had a team dispatched to fortify the tower but haven’t been able to get a message from them since we started our approach.” The actual tower itself was dominating the view before them, what lay within was a complete mystery to all, but the feeling on the air was dread. “We are going to advance and investigate.”

As she did approach the tower was silent and full of fear, her commandos moved into a scattered formation, weapons raised and ready as they advanced. Kira had her own blaster drawn as well, skin still shivering from the bitter cold that seemed to be fading slowly.
She signalled her men to prepare for a breach on the entrance, even with her abilities unable to tell what would await within…

HK-36

The Iron Lord Protector (Neutral Good)
Character: Adventures of NPC Greycloak "Iron-Borne"
Location: Battle for the Citadel of the Dawn, Chassing Ludolf Vaas and his retreating troopers
Objective: Keep on hunt after the stormtroopers retreating into the mountains
Allies: [member="Siobhan Kerrigan"], [member="Tempest"], [member="Aeron Kreelan"], [member="Nima Tann"], [member="Michael Sardun"],
Enemies: [member="Ludolf Vaas"]
Forces: 1 Greycloak, clad in Protectorate Power Armor, and chameleon cloaks, armed with Magnetic Revolvers, heavy Magnetic Repeater, generic blue-crystal lightsabers, and Spear of Rae.
5 Mobile Weapon Platform Spider Droids, Light Models, all armed with MD-1 mass drivers directly under his command

The droid that fired at shots with its sniper rifle, one of the Greycloaks named "IronBorne", watched in satisfaction as Vaas ducked behind cover,

krhk-kch

It pulled on the lever by the rifle's trigger and cocked it back in place, causing its chamber to whirr,

whmmr,

As it reloaded, putting more pellets into its revolving chamber to prepare it for another burst. The droid's scanners and trackers had enough time watching through the scope to have a better look at Ludolf before the machine fired at him, he glanced to his brother-copy,

"My scan tells me that is their current Supreme Commander."

The other Greycloak only glanced back briefly as currently it was busy with its lightsaber activated, swiveling blue blade here and there, making quick accurate motions of Soresu to swat aside any blaster bolts that would dare to come close to Siobhan with deadly accuracy, sending them either safely out into the sky or ground, or back at the trooper that fired them,"

"Your scan is not wrong."

The machine confirmed what it checked as well with its scanners and database, motioning out with its head towards Ludolf,

"Track him, I got this handled."

The Greycloak nodded to its copy,

"May the Force be with you."

The other droid rotated his lightsaber, smoothly capturing and reflecting a continuous stream of blaster bolts from a repeater before jolting its hand away to recover it from the impact,

"And also with you, go with Machine God's glory."

And so the droid took off into the battlefield, running as fast as only a droid could, his grey cloak flapping against the wind, the repeater sniper shattergun held tightly in his left hand, other armaments clinking softly as it moved in its older Protectorate Power armor, mud, snow straying from the blizzard, and blood of friends and enemies alike staining it and muddling together into a gruesome painting of war as it caked and covered the suit's pristine nature and previous insignia of his homeworld and the GA.

it was like the world itself exploded around the droid, there was the usual rain of fiery death that were plasma bolts fired by both sides, his trackers were the only reason why he was not hit by a stray shot just yet, able to see their trajectory and calculate a path to evade them. Occasional slugthrower whizzed by as well, nothing the Greycloak couldn't handle, and then there were the higher caliber weapons being used on the field.

Artillery shots exploded around the already battered field, whether they came from one of his allied groups or another Sabercat walker the machine could not tell anymore, and neither did he care. His only objective, his goal, was to survive the battle and help the GA hold this world so that Kaeshana could remain in the hands of the Eldorai and rebuilt by the Tygaran Alliance. At least that was his perception of it, he left propaganda slinging to propaganda slingers.

One of the stormtroopers retreating turned around on heel, hearing the machine's footsteps and raised his blaster rifle, in quick, practiced movement the Greycloak pulled out his magnetic revolver from his holster, aiming at the trooper from the hip and squeezing the trigger twice.

Khrak-khrak!

There was the noise of his armor shattering as the stormtrooper was struck by the hyper-velocity pellet in his chest, shattering his armor plate and caving it inwards from the impact, and just below his neck, as he flew back from the impact. The revolving chamber of the pistol turned with a soft whirr as it reloaded and it was pushed back into the droid's holster.

It was then that the bombing run came from the FO, their bombers swooping in to deliver their payload, some succeeding as the explosives struck the ground, eliciting out screams from both GA soldiers and the unfortunate Stormtroopers caught within carpet bombing, others were shot down by the X-Wing, Y-Wing, and Whatever Else-Wing the Alliance put into the skies, the air superiority craft soaring overhead with the scream of the jets following it, the AA emplacement had their way with enemy craft as well. But even when shot down, the bombers would plummet into the ground wildly, impacting into the ruins, the mountains, the unfortunate GA ranks, and the retreating Stormtrooper lines, it was not really something one could control, it was all up to random chance and the Force, and with impact came the explosion of the payload they carried aboard before delivering it.

Either way! The point is that there were a lot of explosions all around that touched both sides. One bomb was on a trajectory to struck very close to the sprinting droid, so he dashed to the side, slipping into a nearby duracrete ruin as a rain of mud and shrapnel came over them along with the fiery tongs and loud crashing BOOM of the detonation.

Within the ruins the droid saw somewhat safe remains of a hallway that ran parallel to the retreating stormtroopers, their movements seen through the blasted-out window frames.

Suddenly there was a movement next to him, he jolted to the side, turning, his hand on the gun as he looked down. There laid a stormtrooper, his legs trapped under a stone pillar, either forgotten or left behind on purpose he lashed out towards the droid, perhaps he still tried to fight, perhaps he begged for help.

The Greycloak had no time for it as he pulled his hand back and launched it forward with a loud CRAACK of the man's visor, damaging his helmet. It was probably not enough to kill the soldier, but it was enough to knock him back out.

The machine was about to move on on his quest when he stopped and calculated. With a mechanical grumble the Greycloak turned around, his hands reaching to the stone pillar that trapped the unconscious stormtrooper's legs and heaving it off of him, freeing the soldier. If the man was lucky to survive this long, perhaps he would be lucky to be found by his team or a medic. Either way, he would get no more help from the droid as HK took off.

Finally the droid saw Ludolf once more as the man in the chaotic battlefield. The machine quickly put his rifle up, taking aim with the shattergun as Ludolf jolted to the side, hiding behind a boulder, the droid cursed, the angle was all wrong. He looked up, there was a remains of a second floor above him, another window to take a shot out of. Problem was, there was no floor. The Greycloak dashed over to the nearby wall, metal claws extending out from his hands and feet, the rifle was slung over his shoulder. He pounced on the duracrete wall, digging in the talons, the claws, as he climbed higher and higher. He finally got to that window, anchoring himself between the two walls in a corner, claws digging in nice and deep. He slung the rifle off of his back and put it against the window sill, aiming once more.

This time the shot was clearer, and Ludolf was seemingly just standing there behind the rock, reloading his gun. Little did he knew Ludolf was having some sort of vision or a flashback. The droid took the aim, steadied himself and pulled the trigger.

The pellet cut the air as it launched from the barrel, it all looked so beautiful, the trajectory was perfect, the curvature just right, it headed right for Ludolf's throat. But then just before it hit its mark, a stormtrooper ran right into it.

Khrak!

"Ooooooh!"

The trooper fell to the ground as the high velocity pellet hit him right in the groin, collapsing inwards from the impact and sending the shards of his armor into him,

"Oh no."

The droid said softly as he pulled his photoreceptor away from the computerized scope to watch the stormtrooper writhe on the ground, hands between legs,

"That may be a war crime."

It was pretty clear that the machine accidentally blew certain bits off of an enemy combatant while trying to get Ludolf. Who, he just noticed, was on the move again.

"Oh feth you, Force!"

The Greycloak muttered annoyed as its claws within the feet retracted and it slid down to the floor before dashing out into that hell to get back on the hunt.

The rest of it looked pretty similar, the HK droid trying to stalk Ludolf and assassinate him only to get there just a second too late, narrowly miss, or hit another one of his troopers by accident instead of him, all of it apparently more or less unnoticed in the chaos of modern galactic warfare.

It would have all been pretty comical if it didn't include so much death and destruction.

Finally there came a moment when Ludolf decided to board and commandeer a Firemane tank, out in the distance the Greycloak just dropped to its position behind cover of some stone and rubble, its chameleon cloak wrapped around him and the camouflaging mechanisms engaged to render the droid more or less invisible to the troopers in vicinity.

"FO Supreme Commander spotted commandeering a Firemane tank, I repeat he is in one of our tanks, requesting anti-armor support on the following coordinates."

He sent out a transmission to their other allied forces.

Thankfully Abregado landed some anti-armor spider droids who took part in taking down Ludolf's Sabercat AT-AT, now that the beast was downed, little did they knew two more were just around the corner, the skittering mobile anti-tank cannons were picking new targets, a stray tank or artillery weapon that got too close, blowing open enemy barricades so their forces could move in, bombarding enemy ranks for crowd control, the usual.

When they received the coordinates for anti-armor strike called against Ludolf and his makeshift crew they skittered in the direction, it seemed that in the chaos of the war, and since they have not done much and kept to the cover ruins provided, they went more or less ignored so far by the enemy forces, so the full complement of five light droids were available to answer the call.

However, it would take them some time to move to the called position, so it was by the time when Ludolf would finally figure out how to steer the vehicle that the first 2-3 shots from the mass drivers equipped on the spider droid mobile weapon platforms would be sent towards him, with somewhat moderate accuracy, perhaps hitting next to him, or the outer armor at an awkward angle, or perhaps they got lucky in their mobile bombardment and they would hit the tank well enough to damage it from the get-go.

Either way, Ludolf had to think on the spot to either counter the droids, get out, or have all five of them begin firing the harsh hyper-velocity anti-armor salvos at him from their mass drivers.
