Conquest of Alderaan [One Sith vs Republic]

Location: The Library Place at the University Place
Objective: Take on Janus! Survive the Worm!
Allies Nearby: Saki and Veino Garn
Enemies: Darth Janus and Darth Astraios and [member="Darth Hauntruss"]

Critical miscalculation, but not something that was unlikely. Niamh was not unfamiliar with Force illusions, nor was she unfamiliar with the trickery of Sithlings. That said, she'd still miscalculated the fact that this was an illusion and not the real Sith Lord. When her blade sliced through nothingness, her eyes went wide and she spun around to face her attacker head on, the lightning crackling from his fingertips towards her. This was not going to be pretty.

Of course neither was the giant worm thing, but that was a whole different matter.

Still, Janus had made a mistake as well. He'd assumed that he was only going to have to fight Niamh, forgetting about the other woman that had been with her and was slaying the crap out of his little peons when they got too close. So when he'd appeared behind Niamh, and not in front of her, and Teria had noticed this, she'd moved. While the lightning flickered out against Niamh, Teria flung herself at Janus, twirling her blades this way and that in an effort to at least throw Janus off enough to make the lightning stop tormenting and burning her charge. All she needed was to give Niamh a temporary respite.

Tracyn smiled. The Sith had let him build his power for quite some time, so it wasn't entirely difficult to feel the taxing build up of the force. He wondered how weak it would leave the man. Tracyn stepped- backwards. And up the stairs. Being that the power was a beeline movement towards him, all he had to do was raise his hands, and use the technique that Raiden Nar taught him. He projected the force outwards, and solidified in it. He used the amulet of Tel'ra around his neck, and the energy he had been allowed to store, to build a force barrier. It did not save him from the concussive force, but it would not harm him much further than being thrown around. He felt the force destruction's energy go searing past him, arcing through the steps and pushing the well made stone and metal as if it were paper mache.

Now, he had to worry about the impact.

What did Cassus Vhi'torr tell him when he was an Ori'ramikade? How to survive impacts from a grenade. He didn't have a jetpack, but he did have his skills. He focused his body on turning, and slamming into the hardest part of any given chestplate- the space between the shoulder and the pectoral area. He landed on that, and the shock and the impact were enough for him to cry out in a brief moment of pain. He rolled along his heavy durasteel chestplate, the nearly inch thick armor transferring the energy well enough. Sparks flew as he rolled for several more meters, before he pushed his hands into the ground, reactivating his lightsaber that had flickered off in the time of flight.

He looked over at the Sith, and assumed the Djem So stance.

"I bet that was tiring."

Kian's attack was blocked and he was forced step back, bringing his blade in front of him defensively. Kian smiled to himself as he sensed his padawan's safety. From his connection to his padawan Kian had been fairly certain she would counter the grip before the force push hit her. He had to take that chance, if not she would be as good as dead anyway. In fact, Kian and Ellain weren't in a much better situation anyway, surrounded as they were by the sith.

Kian turned his head sideways quizzically at the sith's words. Kian hadn't acted rashly, he had trusted in the force.

"Your words are like poison," Kian said, holding his saber in front of him in a defensive stance, "and I have no intentions of bowing to you. But I am willing to accept the surrender of you and all who came with you. If you lay down your weapons you will all be given a fair trial for the horrors you've unleashed on this world today." Kian said, meaning it.

"Look around you....this is a place of healing, a place where the wounded were cared for....looking at your work here, I'm not entirely sure what is more monstrous, that lumbering creature you've brought with you, or you." Kian said, knowing that the words would mean nothing to the creature before him.

As he spoke, he stretched out, touching minds with his padawan. Are you alright Ellain?

Enemies: [member="Darth Praelior"] and her pet.
Objective: Don't get eaten by the monster I just threw a rock at

Hmm. The Leviathan looked a lot smaller then it wasn't running at him. ... Well. The Gand quickly lunged to the side as the huge mosnter got closer, diving out of the way before he got smashed by a strike from the monster. He had his Shockstaff, but it woudl be utterly useful against something like this. And he didn't have anything with bigger firepower. The Gand slid one of his massive fingers into one fo the pockets of his clothing, pressing a signal button on his comlink- calling for [member="Kaiden 'Papa' Rohn"], and the other Havoc Squad members. If they weren't pre-occupied anyway. Shuk moved again, as quickly as possibler, as the Leviothon swiped at him once more with a clawed hand almost as large as the wrecked building they were fighting near was; only barely managing to miss the huge claws that ripped through the robings. He made a mental note to stolp throwing rocks at monsters that looked like they could eat buildings in one bite.

Praelior do you want to roleplay the mosnter's attacks, or shall I? (I obviously won't badly injure it, as that's pretty much impossible)

'I.... it all hurts... i cant feel my left limbs and my right leg burns.... help.' Her mind responded to Kian, her body unmoving as it was in far to much pain to do anything much less move. Her eyes lay open as she looked at the sky above her and her right arm, the only unharmed limb, twitched as it was the only one that would respond to her commands. She could hear the sith around her, the sounds of battle, the sound of the giant creatures the Sith had, they had failed, and the Sith were stronger than the Jedi now... perhaps this was the end already.

She moved like a perfect shadow to the sith lord. The skin along her tanned-shoulders tingled as the nautolan drained the life of those above. She was all too familiar with his technique.

The tracker of few words brushed her understanding against Odium's mind as her grip tightened along the shaft of the spear.

Her passion and anger that was triggered on Korriban simmered like an underground thermal, ready to be released. There was only one thing that made her falter, made her hesitate. It was a ghost of a presence on the far edges of her senses. And it made her think of red hair.

Cale nodded in response to [member="Darth Junra"] and moved forwards into the Republic line spinning and slashing his way through their troops. The howls of pain were nothing to him anymore, yet once upon a time they'd been his motivation to stop men like him. Destiny was a funny thing he supposed. As bolts of blue soared forth his saber of red bounced them back then carved open one of the shooters. War had become muscle memory almost, which was a somewhat disturbing concept.

How could suffering and misery be this easy to inflict? Cale' s mind began wandering as he fought, forgetting for just a moment who he was, before a blaster bolt scraped his helmet jolting him back into the fight.

"Commander, Sith Troops still advancing from the Forest." A wounded lieutenant would speak up behind the male commander who stood staring through binos at the burning flames of Aldera.

"Fire on Mike Bravo, 6-Niner-Four, 7-Delta-7." He spoke into the comlink and with that, artillery cannons would begin to open fire on the edge of the treelines and into the far reaches of the forest near the various Sith positions.

"Reinforce the Republic lines with as much as we have got, send everything in." He said in a calm voice. "And then see yourself on the evac shuttles."

He approached the flickering holoprojector and observed what battlefield intelligence they had, known positions of enemy combatants and friendly targets. "Get Runners up in the air if you can and start what runs you can, danger close missions." He motioned to several points on the map. "Artillery bombardments on the back-side of enemy positions, use light munitions."

"We have to give the Republic what time we can." He said firmly to the fading holos of his field commanders.

Odium could feel presence and he could feel his apprentice's understanding of what he had done. She would understand it one day. He was a predator and he had to feed. The curse Nihilus' holocron had taught him was real and his hunger had to be satiated but with each feeding it grew. One day like Nihilus it would mean his death but not yet.

<<Can you feel a familiar presence?>> The mute said to her mind.

He ascended the ladder and pushed aside the cover before looking out at the chaos. It was beautiful. The emotional carnage was palpable and he drew on it for added strength. He climbed out and reached down to pull Quinn through and once again let her hand meet his to increase the bond. He would get her gloves one day perhaps.

<<Come let us find our friend.>> he said, << and kill him.>>

Myr moved through the palace almost entirely unabated. He cared not for the troopers that tried to stop him, they died as quickly as tissue paper against a fussing puppy dog. Each time they ran at him, Myr would become a serpent, dodging and weaving through blades and blaster fire like a snake moved through grass.

It was a horrifying sight, the way his face contorted and twisted each time his lightsaber bit into one of the men and women of the Alderaan Royal Guard.

Yet it happened again and again. The Miraluka would spot one of the patrols coming towards him, and then he would prepare himself. His lightsaber would flick and flash, and then they would die. A simple matter really, one that went quickly. There was no hope for these men, no real chance at killing Myr. A few times they came close, a bite of a blade, a scorch of the black Vonduun Skerr Kyrric, Myr endured it several times.

Yet no one was able to bring him down, and everywhere he went, he would leave behind those precarious silver orbs, their timers ever ticking down.

17:00

There were dozens of them now, each plucked from a dead soldier.

"Sir, behind you!"

One of the Sith troopers who Teria (the Echani bodyguard had somehow managed to hold her own against the squads of Sith troopers armed with repeating blasters despite being little more than a swordswoman with no connection to the Force and no means of deflecting or avoiding volumes of blaster fire) had been fighting managed to shout out a warning to Janus as she bound for him. It was a combination of this verbal warning and his own senses that tipped him off. It seemed there wasn't much he could do there, but if Tyrin was one thing, it was clever. Well, sometimes, anyway.

Janus pivoted, standing profile to both Echani. He kept one hand still directed at Niamh, continuing to pour electricity into the first Firedancer he had encountered today. He directed his other hand for Teria as she bound for him, preparing to hack him to pieces. She almost got close, but it didn't matter in the end. Lightning shot out in cackling waves from his formerly free hand, enrapturing Teria just as he had her charge. Two streams of lightning for two people. More ridiculous things had transpired, to be sure. This didn't rank among them. The consequence of this was that it took the vast majority of his focus and the intensity of both streams of lightning fell drastically.

To these two, however, the change in intensity would be negligible. It would still hurt like all hell, and Tyrin reckoned they would both lose consciousness if no one managed to stop him. By this point the Umbaran had surrendered himself completely to the Dark Side, drinking deeply from the pain and suffering surrounding the battlefield. He could feel the hatred and anger, the fear and suffering. It wasn't something he normally liked to bask in, but considering the situation, he would do so.

And it made him that much stronger than these bothersome upstarts.

To put it simply, it's hard to hit a moving target. Teria was an ever moving target, and, well, she did have a Force connection, and she was aware of it, she'd just not received official training. Regardless, she was now caught in the grasp of the lightning, which caused her to convulse and fall to the ground, her double-brand dropping along with her.

Niamh had had enough of this. It hurt like hell. A little less with him attacking Teria as well, but it still hurt like hell and she didn't like it much. Her hands were spasming, but she suffered an ounce of will to bring the hand around that had gone for her blaster before. She leveled it at Janus and popped off a couple of quick shots at the man. Well, it was worth a shot. She didn't have a lot of options available to her at the moment. It was either do this or probably die.

"I'm not... dying... today..."

Pausing, Maverick took a moment to admire the beast that was towering over him. It was nothing like the one that he had come across [member="R.E.A.P.E.R."] This monster was Capable of destroying building with one swipe of it’s hand. His attention on the beast then broke as he could feel others around him through the force. Curious he began searching the area for those around and happened to notice a rock flying through the sky at the monster. With a raised brow he watched it travel on for the monster. Turning back down he was searching for where the rock had came from, then found what would appear to be a two on one. He recognized one of them as Darth Praelior from One Sith. The other two he only assumed to be jedi.

After realizing who the two jedi would be fighting he really didn’t show much interest joining. He was sure the sith could handle herself on this situation. He was going sit back and watch the show, seeing what kind of knowledge he could absorbed from the fight, but his force sense caught on to someone else, a more feint life that was near. He could tell that they was in a weaker state. Turning his gaze away from the fight that was about to start and towards the location of the pressence he muttered to himself as he began walking towards them. "A live subject could do much better than all of these dead one."

Helios' wicked spears found themselves leaving the Eldorai's hands and were violently spinning throughout the corridors of the massive palace as the Sith Lord's aurete eyes scanned every hall he went through, looking for the Palace's armory. The spears themselves spun almost uncontrollably as they moved at incredulous speeds, slicing enemy soldiers in half, and in idle time destroyed the walls that neared Helios as they scraped, sliced, and simply destroyed everything around Helios. Although the ruckus that the conjured weapons incited were fitting for the opponents he faced, he needed much more firepower to raze the palace itself, which is why the Sith Lord had taken the time to pluck explosives off of the fallen soldiers he'd slain along the way.

He worried however, that they wouldn't be enough, until finally the elite unit of Soldiers he'd arrived at the Palace with found him and approached the Hand of the Dark Lord.

"M'lord, the Command Center was overtaken and defenses were lowered. We gained access to the armory!"

All 4 members of the Elite Unit brandished sacks on their backs, presumably filled with explosives. The lead held a sack in his right hand, Helios guessed it was for himself. The ghostly Eldorai didn't know how the Command Center had been infiltrated and taken over, but it was a great move regardless of whom the individual was. The lead of the Unit handed Helios a bag and together the 5 of them descended into the lower levels of the Palace, intent on setting explosives that would detonate at least within the next twenty five minutes. Helios gave the elevator a long hard stare, before deciding not to trust it's faulty electronic nature especially in this setting, and instead the squad raced down the nearby stairs.

Taral stood before the gates of the palace, his burning orange eyes scanned the area as Thief was held loosely in his grip. There was no way for the Demon Sith to approach through stealth, or hide his presence. He was a behemoth of a sentient, standing at 2.5 meters and his visage did nothing but mark him as one of the Sith. Whispering as he looked around, "Bogan bring me victory, and bring destruction to my enemies," Taral let out a little prayer before he leaped up to the top of the walls. Cracking the stone walkway with his weight as he landed, Taral looked about and smiled. Guardsmen stood in shock and Thief sang in his hand as he spun and whirred. Vicious strikes of pure power and little finesse brought each guard down as their blaster fire singed his armor plating. Laughing as he slew the guards, Taral reveled in the blood lust as he grabbed a guard's head and threw him towards the ground below. Quickly following, Taral landed on top of the now dead man and roared.

Today would be a good day.

Inside the bowels of the worm, the flesh giglgled and moved as the worm moved to rupture beneath the University. Inside the darkness Huantruss hissed out to [member="Saki"] from the shadows of the rows of teeth that ran down the worms throat. "Surrender? Sorry child, but, there is too much work to be done to surrender." Shadows moved and bounced about. "Now if you excuse me child." Hauntruss suddenly emerged from beside the young jedi knight. Her arms flung forward and the force that had been swelling in them for some time then exploded into two arcs of lightening in a violent brilliant display. As the lightening struck Hauntruss gave a dark shout.

Protective force or not, she would break the shield that was preserving her mental state with even more powerful Sith Curse. "Qâzoi Kyantuska!" The dark Sith curse rang out in the force and ate its way into the very being of the Jedi Knight. An ancient Sith Mind Suppression curse, designed to paralyze an opponent with untold dark pressure. Hauntruss belowed once again, "I don't have time to play with you, so now Jedi...I will break you!" The curse would overload any protective force barrier with all of Huantruss' supreme dark magic.

At this moment in the chamber in front of the archives, the worms mouth broke through the floor and lunged over a bit to open its gaping tunnel of teeth for Hauntruss to exit.

Spasming from electrocution typically made it harder to aim than usual. Most bolts went wide, scarring the ceiling and walls, but one of them found their mark. A glancing shot against Janus' lower back. Pain flared up from where he had been struck near his spine, his robes and light armor doing precious little to protect him from the blow. His focus snapped, before being replaced with a blinding rage. The lightning faltered momentarily, before flaring up once again with a greater intensity. This time with a notable bias for Niamh as he doubled his efforts to incapacitate her over the bodyguard.

He was not about to be outdone by this petulant little worm and her BFF.

Well, it was worth a shot. She spasmed and the blaster fired randomly all over the place until it couldn't fire anymore. She collapsed to the ground, her energy blade beside her deactivating. Teria was then left on her own, the lightning not as bad directed at her. She tried to move towards her charge, to protect her further, but she was forced down to her knees. Still, she tried to crawl towards Niamh, intending to lay atop her, and, at the least, protect her from an unsolicited death. If possible.

It was all rather disappointing really.

The Jedi punk had high-tailed it out of there when she suddenly realized she was dealing with the ultimate of ultimates--that's the penultimate, folks--in the Sith army. The Black Lancers had things under control. The faster you shoot, the deadlier you are. Though being a Jedi had its perks. Bottlecap and his squadmate had to dive out of their post in the window when an entire speeder came hurtling at them. They had a moment of silence for the E-Webb. Then they moved out and borrowed another one from another stormie. Did you see how bald that chick was?

What. Was that.

The galaxy's most gigantic maggot had suddenly shoved its disgusting head through the doors of the university and the Black Lancers were expected to follow? Ugh. Bottlecap muttered inaudibly about all the things he had seen. Why did Sith have to go that route? But it was the Empress, so... okay. They charged on, spilling into the school.

They were instructed to kill all inside. At this point, TK-4441 was unsure if anyone was actually alive in here. But another Jedi freak was still kicking, trying to ward off the buckethead assault as well as this hippie Sith guy. Bottlecap nearly laughed his butt off while twisting the new gun in place on its stand. "Sithies..." But the Jedi was killing his bros, and that was not cool. So first priority was to take her out.

Stupid Sith beat him to the punch, doing his magic wand thing or whatever. Now who would Bottlecap fight?

Coffee break!

Nevermind. Darth Hauntruss had showed up again. It was time to kick it old skool. Bottlecap and his squad abandoned their repeater blaster for some other squads to put to use in holding the entrance. He and his men brought out their OS-1 rifles and approached Zankarr, ready to accompany her to their objective. "Lead the way, Empress." You know what that is called? Loyalty.

The edge of her spear poked from the opening first, secured by a strap along her back. Fiery-gaze glowed briefly as her hand made contact with the olive-green skin of her master. He was her drug, a dark something that even spice had nothing on.

.:The redhead is not close. But he stands out among the rest:. The mental line of communication she shared with Odium came as natural as breathing. She released his hand and her head-jerked to the side as she unsheathed and lodged one of her daggers into the throat of a charging enemy trooper.

When she was melded with Odium she would kill anyone for him. But Korr was a stumbling-block. She owed the redhead a debt from the caves and there would be no honor in doing otherwise. She frowned and silently mulled over these thoughts as she pulled the dagger from the man's throat, scarlet blood splattered across her mocha-skin.
