Destruction on Fondor [Protectorate vs. One Sith]

The gun came hurtling at Kaine, to which Kaine replied by rolling to the right as the gun by, the barrel grazing the side of his waist and deflecting off further down the corridor. It hurt like hell, anything made of beskar hitting you in such a manner would hurt anyone, but Kaine ignored it. He had been trained to be accustom to such pain, and he hardly noticed it as Jorus swung around and unloaded a Czerka HeadBanger stun wave in the direction of the hallway. Kaine raised his hands up, and as the stun blast descended upon him he absorbed the energy behind the stun and dispersed it away from his body. Sadly he could not fully negate the effects, and his entire body tingled and staggered as he deflected it away. Jorus was smart, no doubt about that, a true challenge for Kaine to test his skills and cunning again.

Kaine chuckled darkly, "Finally, a worthy opponent... Props to you, Jorus." He said quickly as his hands fell to his waist, and he unclipped two BTI-CR Ripper SMG Blaster rifles from their holsters and aimed them down the hall at Jorus. With two quickly squeezes of his fingers, the Rippers barked and roared in his hands as they delivered a twin spray of blaster bolts down at Jorus.

Vinyata used to force to sprint out of the shuttle that had deployed her. Deftly, she pulled her saberstaff into her hand and activated it. Spinning her saberstaff, she deflected several bolts from security guards in the docking bay that were responding to the chaos. Using the force, Vinyata cloaked herself and ran toward a squad of horrified guards after she force thrown her saberstaff at another squad of guards. The radiant purple blade viciously cut through the squad, their dying cries fulling Vinyata with strength. Calling upon the force again, Vinyata jumped into the center of the guards, who had formed an orb formation and were terrified at the prospect of an invisible opponent.
Using her hidden blades and martial arts skill, Vinyata dispatched the remaining guards.
@Darth Nafeas had ordered her to secure the docking bay, and so far no one was interfering.

The stun gun slipped back into its holster with practiced ease as Jorus concluded his spin. The time which @[member="Darth Vornskr"] spent getting out the two automatic blasters, Jorus spent reloading. One shell was marked with a white stripe, the other a vibrant blue stripe.

As Kaine unleashed his automatic blasters, Jorus ran left, across the hall, just for that extra half second. The twin streams of blasterfire tracked him-

Right up until the white shell fired, filling the hallway with ablative ceramic flechettes -- a blinding sandblast of them -- mixed with dampener aerosol. The ablative ceramic soaked up the first burst of fire; the aerosol hung in the air with the cortosis dust, weakening and disspating the blasterfire.

Then Jorus fired again, and it detonated in the air between them. A piezoelectric shell converted kinetic energy to an EMP on impact, and everything electronic went dead for five metres -- ten for impairedness. His cybernetic eyes fuzzed over for just an instant, but hopefully he'd just killed errything electronic in Kaine's loadout, blasters included.

Kaine frowned even more deeply, if that's even possible, as the gun short circuited. He pulled the trigger a few more times, but then threw both of them away with an annoyed snarl. This Jorus Merrill was good, far more experienced and armed than he had previously anticipated. He'd have to outsmart him, and catch him in a position that he couldn't counter. He had an idea, a bold and cunning one, and he knew that this could be the turning point in the battle. Kaine's form shimmered in the cloak of the dampening aerosol, and suddenly one Kaine became four. Under the cover of the fog Kaine suppressed his force signature to a degree where it would appear faint to those who attempted to sense it, but it would still be there a identifiable as Kaine's, and then the life-like illusions began to move. As the real Kaine unsheathed a pair of wicked hooked vibroblades, so did the illusions as well to create seamless continuity between them. The first illusion came in from the left, down low in a crouching sprint and swung his illusion daggers in to slash at Jorus' legs, which of course would do nothing at all.

The next one came in from the right a second after the first one rushed in, mirroring the other perfectly in it's attack, which would also do nothing. The third illusion lunged directly at Jorus, attempting to skewer him with his illusion blades through the chest. Finally the real Kaine flipped high, or at least as high as the ceiling of the hallway would allow, over all of them to land behind Jorus, where he would attempt to backstab Jorus with actual vibroblades.

He brought up both guns as the multiple Kaines lunged -- the empty shell gun and the Czerka HeadBanger cut down to pistol size -- and pulled the pistol's trigger as fast as he was able. Immense shockwaves of stun energy flled the corridor from wall to wall. The illusions took damage realistically, slowing, and as a fourth Kaine flipped over him, he did the same for that one as he'd done for the others.

Riot blast. Straight up, point blank.

There was a reason he'd brought up the empty shell gun: To bring it down again. The nine-kilo gun was a pain even for his Force-enhanced muscles, especially when held in one hand, so that height let him give it the extra umph to swing it down and then up again in the motion of a pendulum as he turned right.

And brought up the beskar barrel with intent to meet Kaine's crotch an instant before the Dark Lord's feet touched the ground.

On his other side, his outstretched riot gun barked again, keeping the illusory Kaines subdued.

When his lightsaber deactivated and short circuited from the cortosis within the droid, he dropped it, and let it roll away somewhere beyond the droid, and due to his positions, his robes were open and his second lightsaber was revealed, and because of that he opened up his hand, calling upon the Force to where that blade snapped to his hand and ignited with the use of the Force as well.

It had come just in time to be flicked around and glide the droid's strike past his hand, and into the ground, and because the droid had disengaged from his Sith Sword, he brought the hand that held the lightsaber back and rolled backwards away from the killer droid.

Once he had stood back up to his feet, he let himself back up some more, before he stood there, with his Sith Sword in his hand, and lightsaber in the other. It wasn't everyday that he used two weapons in combat.

Feth.

Was all that went through Kaine's mind as the beskar shotgun slammed into the phrik cup protecting his junk, and boy did that image just make men all over the galaxy cringe and hiss in imagined pain. Kaine temporarily lost his footing and tumbled forward to roll into a crouching position as his face contorted with pain, his calm and serious composure lost as a fire began to spread upward from his groin. The stun blast didn't help either, but at least he could deal with that much easier than he could a hit to the groin with beskar, and Kaine was extremely glad he already impregnated someone with his offspring before this fight. He stumbled again, but rose to his feet as his body shuddered and shook with the effects of the stun, every part of his will combating the effects of it while he fed upon his groin pain to fuel his resistance.

He turned and watched as Jorus fought to keep the illusions back, and he snarled loudly before raising his right hand directly at Jorus. From his fingers and palm came forth ethereal black tendrils of darkness that wormed and snaked towards Jorus, keen on encircling him and binding him with their hungering forms. They wanted to drain the life from Jorus, their own motions fueled by the intense hatred of their creator towards their intended victim. Hopefully the life stolen, if it worked of course, would refuel Kaine to a certain degree.

@[member="Jorus Merrill"]

@[member="Darth Vornskr"]'s black tendrils grabbed Jorus's limbs every which way, like a Vong Embrace of Pain. They burned, but they were cold too, and the part of his mind that actually had some experience against Sith Magic recognized that this was a very very bad thing. The heavy shotgun tumbled from his hand.

Feth, he was gonna have to do it. If he could reach.

Against the grip of the tendrils, he struggled to turn his stun gun against Kaine to break the Dark Lord's concentration -- and to get the double-ended light-knife from his belt. The weapon flared to life in his hand, slicing through the nearest tentacles, but they didn't vanish when he cut them, just hung from him in semi-corporeal form. One fell off limply when he sliced it in two. The HedBanger roared out at Kaine as Jorus began to gray out.

As Naefas rolled back to get some distance between the two of them HK pulled out his sword out of the ground.
Watching the Sith he sheathed his sword back and turned slightly, getting into a fencing Makashi stand. Meanwhile, keeping an eye on the dropped lightsaber hilt behind him using the 360 vision of his helmet he flicked his now free arm, utilizing his handy wrist repeater to emit a burst of bolts towards the dropped lightsaber, most likely disabling it completely for the fight and restricting Naefas' weapon choice slightly.

HK kept in his stance facing Naefas in case he tried to save the dropped lightsaber, he would use that occasion for another strike. Otherwise, his lightsaber was glowing white at the ready.
The droid spoke up finally
"I am called the Iron Knight, I thank you for the duel and equal challenge. I promise you that you will not die by my hand today. Neither would my destruction leave an impact, for I am only one of many. Turn back now and you will be able to leave in peace, moving on to some other challenge. Continue onward and you will have to forced an army of my brothers, not just me by my lonesome."
Of course, through the message he was prepared for defense against any attacks the Sith would be able to throw at him.

He tilted his head to the side as if in question. The droid was giving him a chance to leave. And so he would take a seize that chance. Deactivating his lightsaber, placing it onto his belt and then spinning his Sith Sword for a moment he sheathed it in it's place upon his belt. "I understand your warning droid." He said with a nod. Though with a blinding speed his hands snapped upwards and from his hands issued red hot, fire. Pyrokinesis was quite useful, and currently he was using it as a last ditch attempt to literally burn and melt the droid in the spacedocks. This fight was over, and once he was done here he would continue on his way to find the prototypes and a sentient to kill.

And once he stopped his torrent of flames, he waited to see what was left of the droid, though he doubted it would just die and his lightsaber found it's way into his hand again. He held it with one hand and waited for a sign from the droid.

Kaine moved his concentration from the Force Drain to the stun blast coming his way, and once again used the respite he gained from the drain to absorb the blast like he did previously, and again he still suffered a minor version of the effects of the stun. From the energy collected from the stun, he redirected it back at Jorus in the force of a telekinetic push, meant to throw Jorus across the hallway into the opposite wall. Kaine would also try and bring the beskar shotgun over to him with a quick grab in the force, to at least relieve Jorus of one of his weapons, but he was sure the man had more tricks up his sleeve he'd neglected to reveal just yet.

HK faced infernos before, Naefas was not the first one to try and melt him, Dreadpirate Lord RC did so as well, torching a whole dock with large amounts of incendiary grenades and flamethrowers, the pirate partially succeeded but he was captured nonetheless, as a result, HK asked for his armor to be able to withstand most of the temperatures churned out by most of the napalm and fire-based weaponry, plus on usual they were bugger against droids anyway.
Other thing about the fire, it obscures vision.

As Naefas conjured it, HK propelled himself once more, he was bent on not giving him time to finish conjuring fire or get his hand on his lightsaber. The metal body went through the wall of fire like a rain, the white blade of his lightsaber led the assault as it swung in a swift strike aimed at Sith's head.
The droid followed that by sending a punch, aiming it at the Sith's chest in attempt to knock the wind out of him if he succeeded.

The fire danced around and licked at his armor, his cloak caught on fire and it flew back off of his shoulders as it scorched. Black marks covered his armor, heating it but not damaging just yet.

The crimson blade ignited outwards to meet the white of the droid. With a quick flick of his wrist, the white lightsaber was parried to the side in a means to knock the droid off-balanced. And because from a parry, more times than not it unbalanced you with your own momentum when performing an attack like the droid, it would allow him to quickly bring his lightsaber around and smack it around into the droid's hand, only to try and leave the droid in an awkward position even further. He would have to try and cut off it;s arm, though he figured it would still have cortosis underneath it's first layers. And so for that he leaped backwards once his defenses and counter attacks had been dished out.

Back-flipping away from the droid, Darth Naefas clipped his lightsaber back onto his belt, and brought his hand back towards the tail end of his amphistaff. It was time to end this droid, and this amphistaff was what he would use. And once it was in his hand he spun it around his body with a two-handed grip, before letting go with one hand and waited for the droid to come.

Using his strength HK kept from getting hit by his own lightsaber just barely, he took a step back and a pirouette, example of his training and career as Bladedancer teacher, reassessing his position.
He saw the Sith changed weapon, he had a sure grip on his weapon. He saw him take a snake-like being into his hands, which hardened quickly into the image of amphistaff. Beings he faced before during the Yuzzhan Vong Wars he was around for. He knew their weaknesses, he even knew how to kill the snake beings.
Reaching to his side he changed a clip on his bolt gun, taking it into his hand, it was his own amphistaff of sorts, clad in protective metal plating and with a bayonet at its end below the muzzle, he wielded it both as a gun and mace of sorts. Cocking the mechanism he armed the close-ranged shells inside, getting his position ready to face the Sith, his lightsaber and bolt gun in his hands.

He quickly flicked his lightsaber hand behind his back, hitting few grenades, smoke grenades to be exact, couple of them were sent towards Naefas, their contents not yet emptying. One that was attached to the droid's back began to emit smoke as the droid began to move, charging towards Naefas, the smoke cover quickly following him, threatening to fill the whole corridor with smoke. HK could see easily through the cover, could Naefas?

Apparently Fondor was being attacked...again. Yes, Siobhan obviously had heard about the Atrisians - or Imperials, there had been so many claiming to be the Empire that it was hard to decide on one - attacking the planet and being forced to perform a humiliating retreat. Presumably she had watched the whole affair on holo-telly from her villa, away from Fondor. Her time with the Protectorate, her last position being that of an Exarch, had ended when Tegaea had to resign from the office of Lady Protector due to an assassination attempt.

Since then she had not looked back. She kept contact with some former comrades who were with the Rebel Alliance, including Jorus, who apparently still had a reserve commission in the ODF. But her life was no longer dedicated to the Protectorate, and she was happy with that. For varying reasons she did not care much for the great space empire, she had moved on and felt no allegiance to it. However, by chance she had been on the planet, word had reached her of the attack. Sith, Fringers, whatever, it made little difference to her really.

So here, she was, on the orbital station, emerging through a blast door, just in time to see Jorus - she had picked up on his force signature after landing and followed - engaged in battle, THE shotgun being unleashed. Yes, it had to be capitalised. Always. Anything else was blasphemy. She felt force surge through the Sith Master her former comrade faced, feeling as he unleashed his powers. Responding in kind Siobhan exerted her telekinetic will to seize the Sith by the throat in a powerful, crushing grip, without a word leaving her lips, gaze cold. If there were two sorts of forcers, those who listened and those who shouted, then she was firmly in the latter category. There was no refinement to her actions, no subtlety, pure battering ramming, but it was battering ramming that could bring down walls. As she sought to seize the Sith and lift him off the floor, a powerful blast of telekinetic power was unleashed at him with the force of an invisible hammer, the air shifting as the power coursed through it, meant to slam into him with concussive force across the hall and smash bones. Her lightsabre sprang into her hand, the blue blade dazzling into existence, her other holding a boltgun.

Clearly she could not stay out of the action for long even if she wanted!

Kaine suddenly choked and suffocated as the new challenger to the playing field gripped Kaine is a powerful telekinetic choke hold, and flung him down the hallway away from Jorus. Luckily his phrik armor again absorbed some of the punishment he would have received when the pure hammer of telekinetic force knocked into him like a literal battering ram of pure power, sending him sprawling across the durasteel floor over and over again until he came to a stop at the opposite wall. Every inch of Kaine's body screamed in agony, and he was sure he had just broken a rib or two, not mention the possibility of compound fractures across his body. He coughed up some blood, staining the front of his phrik armor crimson as he warily rose to his feet, and brought his secondary lightsaber to his hand and activated it's crimson blade.

"Not very nice, interrupting the quality time between me and my prey. You will regret your transgression..." He said through clenched teeth, but he knew who he was up against pretty early on. There were reports of her power from the Battle of Metalorn, and Kaine had doubts he could match her on her own playing field, so he would have to play a different strategy. Suddenly from the left turn in the corridor junction came forth a squad of Protectorate guards, who leveled their blasters at Kaine and prepared to open fire on the Sith Lord, when suddenly Kaine extended his right hand out to them and muttered ancient words under his breath. A dark aura surrounded the guard's heads, and they suddenly looked upon Kaine with a new understanding as he warped their minds to see him as a Protectorate commander. Kaine pointed down the hallway at Siobhan, "Get her men, she is a Fringe invader!" Kaine had warped their minds to see Sio as a Sith, and thus they immediately sprang into their misguided actions by forming up and opening fire at Sio.

The light-knife was ripped from his hand as he and the fallen shell gun went flying, tumbling. He was barely conscious, his HeadBanger almost out of charge. The shell gun, empty, found his hand as it always did. The tentacle marks burned on his neck, his arms -- and he felt cold, empty.

Yeah. This one was a loss. There were worse fates than losing to an Emprah.

He tried scrambling to his feet; didn't work so well. His lightknife was gone somewhere. The air was still thick with cortosis dust and anti-blaster aerosol, and he sneezed furiously as he found his footing in a side door. Sio was trading heavy blows with Kaine. Jorus leaned against a wall, raised his stun weapon at the mind-trickd troops, couldn't make it work -- empty after all.

This was alllll Sio.

Illusions were a beautiful thing. Terribly useful for causing chaos and mayhem. There was something thrilling about crawling into the mind of another, driving them insane, turning them against their fellows or making them see things that were not there to drive them into the depths of madness. This was one of the things Siobhan was not good at. At all. Truth be told illusionists tremendously annoyed her. Except Coryth Elaris, her favourite short stack of fire. Somehow she had never gotten around to getting Coryth to train her into dealing with mentalism better.

Regardless Omegan soldiers coming from the left turn fell under the spell of the Sith master and, their minds warped and corrupted as they were like wax in his hands, levelled their blasters at her and fired. This was annoying on many levels, for one it would mean risking splitting her attention as blaster bolts came spewing through the air, Siobhan bringing up her lightsabre to deflect blasts, the Force amplifying her speed, but even so a blaster bolt grazed her cheek, another slammed into her shoulder, absorbed by the heavy armour she was wearing, but nonetheless caused her bolter to fall out of her grasp as she was pushed towards the wall. It was fortunate that she had acquired a shiny piece of ultrachrome armour of Sith design while participating in the raid on Styx, though her distraction probably gave the Sith master more time for whatever else he had in mind.

Someone else, someone more moral, might have felt hesitant at exerting their powers on former comrades. After all, the Omegans had not asked to be turned into meat puppets. More to the point, more than a decade ago Siobhan had actually been corrupted by a Sith spirit. The Butcher, however was not a nice person. Otherwise, Roche would have gone very differently. So as a cry of pain left her throat she acted, telekinetic power coursing through her as she stretched out with her powers and unleashed a pure shockwave of telekinetic energy, blossoming into a force explosion, the flash of pain and cold fury spurring her on as she dragged the wave across the hall, an omnidirectional blast of concussive force meant to sweep towards the Sith and the misguided Omegans. Area of effect damage was a beautiful thing after all, amidst the wave the broken droids the Sith had wrecked from earlier would be pulled from the ground into the air and hurled, the ground and walls shaking as the blast tore through.

Kaine smirked as the soldiers began to swarm Siobhan, some of them even landing decent shots on the Battering Ram, but alas it was not enough! True to her form, she lashed out at the controlled guards with her unparalleled telekinesis, but Kaine learned that this was the way to defeat her. To escape her devastating wrath, Kaine dived into the corridor the guards had previously came from, pressing himself against the wall as the maelstrom of power raged in the corridor where he previously was. However; Kaine did feel the wrath of her power as pieces of body parts and droids flew madly around past him from the turbulent storm Siobhan had created. Metal shards even slashed against Kaine's armor and face, but luckily he was wearing his phrik armor and he suffered nothing other than bloody cuts across his face.

When the storm subsided and the corpses of the guards flopped wetly to the durasteel floor, did Kaine make his next move. First he amplified his force to boom out into the corridor where Siobhan was lurking, "Such power! You would be better off working with me, instead of against me... Just think of what you could accomplish with the powers of the Dark Side!" It was that gnawing darkness that crept at the edge of Siobhan's mind, Kaine probing for defenses in Siobhan's mind as he continued talking. "Join with me, and together we will unlock the true power trapped within you. With no limits of restrictions!" Kaine was undoubtedly sure that Siobhan would flat out refuse him, so many of them did. It was hard to find willing converts these days, such a shame too. Suddenly Kaine slammed his considerable mental power against Siobhan's mind, a fear as black as the void attempting to take hold of her mind and send her into a horrified panic.
