Fire and Blood [Iron Empire T3 Dominion of Miasma & Tera Lush]

[member="Elaesanne Araeris"]

"Oh, that's fine. Don't sweat it. I pegged you as a droid when I saw you," Elpsis blurted out. Tactful? Probably not. Could machines get offended? [member="HK-36"] certainly acted enough like a diva to make that a plausible assumption. She stiffened when the HRD touched her. Her hand's skin felt real as a warm as a human's, but it was not!

"Uh, I'm an empath. I can tell that sort of thing. Doesn't say anything bad about your skill to, uh, act human." So Elpsis elected to follow Irene and tried not to put her foot into her mouth again. So they boarded the ship, headed down a pristine corridor and then entered a meeting room.

Elpsis sat down upon the offered chair and crosser her long legs. She instinctively slouched, before she remembered where she was and straightened. She was not used to formal meetings! "So how can Firemane assist the Iron Empire? We, and our subsidiary ARGH, have a broad portfolio of weapons and devices. I think Lady Baelor saw some of them in action on Csilla."

"Thank you," Aster smiled at the medic once he cleaned her wound and changed the bandages. She appreciated that he had obeyed her order and not used any bacta on her. "May I borrow that?" she asked gesturing at the man's communicator.

"Sure," he said handing the device to her.

"This is Aster, I am safe. You know where to find me - do not relent in your efforts," she spoke into the device, her tone firm. She refused to show weakness - at least not until this was over. She needed to stay strong.

Returning the communicator to the medic, Aster leant against the wall, waiting for help to arrive. She had faith in her uncle - it would only be a matter of time until she was freed and back home once more.

There was a loud noise before Alek and his men disembarked a female in gold and red armor ran in the direction of where she had heard a wounded VIP was hoping to get them any needed medical supplies. Alek followed shortly behind the female known as Isy one of the first members of Clan Akaata and his fathers oldest friends they now served to help train and protect the young Miles. He looked around and froze as his eyes fell on the form of Aster Baelor a mumbled curse leaving his lips as he sighed walking forward he knelt before her bending his head before mumbling. "Ma'am my name is Aleksander Miles eldest son of Aedan Miles Alor of Clan Akaata. My family has been sworn to that of your Uncles as such it is my duty and honor to follow your commands as you give them. I place myself and the members of the Silver Gryphon unit are at your disposal." He remained down on one knee his head bent his helmet resting beside his knee one hand on it the other resting over his heart. The members of his security and teaching group looked at Alek than at Aster before going down to one knee as well unsure of what had transpired recently.

Irene frowned at the mention of the princess. Of all the humans the droid had met so far, that blonde-haired teenager was one of the most illogical - she had ever encountered in the short time she had been in existence. Why do you have people address you by Lady rather than Princess? the droid had once asked. Because I want to prove myself and earn the title, was the girl's reply. How do you earn something you already have? the droid wondered choosing to remain quiet. Humans are such strange creatures.

"I see," was Irene's simple reply. "What do you recommend?" the droid asked. Although it would have not taken long for her to scan the catalogue and pick out the items that would be most useful to the Iron Empire, she wanted to assess the woman's decision-making abilities.

Elpsis furrowed her brow. Is this a trick question? Shouldn't your boss have told you what he wants? she wondered. Fortunately, she maintained enough tact to hold her tongue. Auntie Sio would be cross with her if she mucked up a business deal just because the IE rep was a strange robot.

"Well, it depends on what your boss is looking for, I guess!" she said brightly. "If you're lookin' to fortify Csilla and other planets, the Tempest cannons are sweet. They can blow Star Destroyers out of orbit. Throw in the turrets, the Devastator mines, the Aspis deflector shield and you got a solid fortress," she continued.

"ARGH's got droids for both combat and construction. If you want your boys to throw down with space wizards, there's bolters, shatterbolters, shattercannons, magnetic repeaters, and Gorgon web rifles. All of them are perfect for elite troops."

"Please stand, [member="Aleksander Miles"]," Aster ordered as wrinkled her nose in pain. "Have some of your men assist those gentlemen over there," she gestured at [member="Jonas Vile"] and [member="Benedict Rotadaria"]. "And see me to my uncle. I want him to see that I am safe so that he can bring upon these terrorists the full force of the Iron Empire," she spoke with a look of determination on her face.

Filled with disgust and loathing for the men who had so cowardly kidnapped her and slaughtered those charged with her safety, she wanted - no needed - to see justice brought upon those responsible. "Ugh," she grunted in a rather unladylike manner as she stood up. "Let's go," she said with a stern expression as she leaned on the wall for support.

Stay strong. Endure it for a little longer, she reminded herself as she thought of uncle. There will be plenty of time for tears later.

Alek looked at her before nodding to his men gesturing over calmly as he moved towards her carefully. "You heard her boys get to work. Do you need assistance Lady Baelor?" He stood nearby one hand resting on the grip of his first pistol the other held out to her as he looked around carefully his pale silver eyes taking in everything around them. He keyed his comlink on and quickly broadcast on a secured channel. "This is Commander Miles I need the location of the Iron Emperor I have someone whom would like to meet up with him as soon as possible." After he finished speaking he slid his pistol from its holster using what little knowledge he had of the force to reach out around them hoping to get some kind of sense of their surroundings as the six Mandalorians with him moved towards [member="Jonas Vile"] and [member="Benedict Rotadaria"].

Jonas made way to allow Alexander and his men to move on through. It had started to grow quiet. Perhaps the Chiss had given up on attempting to retake this position and the princess. Maybe Jonas scared them off. Whatever it was, it was quiet enough to get out of there. "We need to move now. While it's still quiet." Jonas sheathed his lightsabers and tried getting Benedict on his feet, using himself to prop the Rodian up. "Can you lead us out of here Miles? I'll try to keep this one breathing."

His cousin, niece of Isamu who also was his cousin, was abducted by ruthless terrorists. The man held a a strong grip of the value of his family and this act performed by these lawless criminals would receive his fury and brutality. Efficient and tactical fury and brutality that would scare the living feth out of them before they could draw in their last breath.

Lyle with his elite unit of Iron Black Ops agents, dubbed Delusion Squad, all donned a prototype armor that was forged and crafted by the smiths and engineers of the Iron Empire. It wasn't the type of armor a regular conscript of the Iron Army would use and be stressed by the front lines of war, but it was designed for special personnel that were hardened soldiers yet had more skills and merits such as infiltration, sabotage, assassination, and other talents.

"Sir, Lady Baelor has been secured by one of our own. Shall we go and reinforce them, or should we focus on eliminating the rest of these hostiles," Lyle's lieutenant said him.

"What do you think, Kern? Our primary objective is to bring her back to the Emperor. After that there'll be no obstacles to lay waste on these scumbags," the Agent replied back. He went on an encrypted comm link to the unit that had Aster in custody. "This is Delusion Leader; we are coming in with reinforcements on your location."

With that said and done, the Baelor gestured his men to follow his lead on the location of his cousin.

With a frustrated sigh, Zeradias examined the large battlecruiser that had entered the system and engaged. This surprise was hardly expected from the admiral, though how could it be? For a fringe attack force, how they could afford as much as they had was a surprise in it's own. The battlecruiser was a stunner though, and ultimately a mystery.

"Send in the heavy cruisers and engage.", he ordered. "Do NOT destroy the ship. Disable it and board it when able."

Zeradias wanted to know the truth behind that ship. There were too many chances at discovery on it to simply blow it to smithereens. The navigation computers, manifests, and even the crew would prove to provide invaluable intelligence if all went well.

"Gryphon 2 element moving to engage."

The situation should be resolved by the time his invited guest from Corondex Arms would reach the system. Oh the hubris, if he were to host the merchant from the bridge of his captured vessel.

Aedan Miles sat on the bridge of the Demon one of the trio of Shinigami-class Star Destroyers he had brought with him today to see how the Iron Empire handled things. Due to their Durinium hulls his ships were hidden from sensor scans and he had his hacker access the Iron Empire's communications channels and was watching their movements. He knew that his crews specialized in boarding so he started to move the trio of ships forward sending the signal for his men to get to their drop ships. He turned and nodded to one man who sent the signal that would activate the IFF signatures on his ships and open them to the view of everyone in the system so at least they knew that someone else was here. Sending a quick message to the commander of the force Aedan grinned as he attempted to open a channel. "Hell Vice Admiral Mant this is Aedan Miles ex Pirate King I am here to rejoin my son and offically join the Iron Empire I have three ships in system we are moving into position to flank this battlecruiser and once we are in position I shall personally lead my crew to board it for you. After all who better to board a ship than a pirate?" The pirate king let a dark smile cross his lips lightly as he looked towards the ship ahead of him.

"Sir, transmission coming in. Unable to identify or trace whereabouts.", the communications officer called out. "They're asking for you directly, sir."

Though his expression did not change, he was puzzled who this it could have been. Approaching the telecommunications receiver by the captain's chair, he nodded to the comms officer, signalling for her to patch them through.

"Vice Admiral Mant.", he answered curtly, introducing himself.

Greeting him on the other end of the call was none other than the man that made him suspicious of the Iron Empire's own Commander Aleksander Miles - his father, Aeden Miles, a man who had made himself infamous in the galaxy for his treachery and betrayal of the Galactic Republic in their defense of the Mandalorian Crusades. However, when introducing himself, it sounded as if he abdicated the mantle of 'pirate king' and sought to not only join his son's side, but pledge his fealty to the Iron Empire. And what better way than to make an entry than by aiding the biggest skeptic of him, Zeradias Mant?

The older Miles verbalized his intent to fulfill the vice admiral's wishes, almost singlehandedly without the ships of Battlegroup Gryphon needing to endanger themselves in the conflict. Zeradias was not so trusting as the former pirate king would have hoped though.

"You will do no such thing.", Zeradias responded firmly. Though he was never objecting to other people using their own resources to further the cause of the Empire, but a character with the suspect history of Aeden Miles was too much for him to overlook. He would not have a ship within his grasp commandeered by someone who might seek to do the Empire or it's people harm.

"You may assist in the disabling of the vessel, however you will not under any circumstances board it. After the vessel is disabled, you will shut down all weapons and prepare to be boarded by Iron Imperial forces. Am I understood, Mr. Miles?", he said with a calm, yet hostile tone.

After receiving Aeden's answer, he would call for his comms officer and officer of the watch. "I want you to find out how he bypassed Iron Imperial encryption. You have 24 hours to report."

Dismissing them, he looked out the bridge windows to see the ships engaging. In space warfare, the destruction was almost beautiful.

Aedan chuckled to himself before he strode forward spreading his arms wide as he looked forward the other two ships drifting apart and away from each other before there was a momentary pause and silence before from the rear of the battlecruiser the three Star Destroyers opened fire turbolasers lancing forth as missile launchers launched their payload of bio plasmatic missiles into the engine area of the ship. Yes there would be severe damage but Aedan could guarantee that ship was going no where right away laughing as he saw the ships weapons stutter as it was suddenly fired upon from the rear seemingly from no where the three ships sporting IFFS that reported them as the following. DRS Demon, DRS Werda and DRS Death. The three Shinigami-class fired ceaselessly as Aedan watched his opponent turn and try to bring their weapons to bear. It would soon become clear that Aedan relied mostly on brute force where as his son relied on deceit and tricks in his combat methods. Aedan sighed boredly as he turned and walked towards the hangar to get his men to stand down and turn their weapons back into the armoury last thing he needed was some foolish soldier to say the wrong thing and upset his crew. Almost all of them had gone through the needed rituals to become Vod in the view of the Mandalorians and all of them were from the same clan. Clan Akaata founded by Aedan Miles as a source of solidarity among his men they were all family and family never turned their back on each other.

"Keep your head down and stay behind me", he whispered to the young girl. He was certain she could take care of herself, after all she is a member of the resistance and has been for some time, they did not know what they would be facing once they entered the streets. The response he received was to be expected with a disgruntled grunt and although she did not push pass him, the girl remained by his side.

Theo turned the latch on the door and opened it, a stream of sun light entered the room followed by silence. It was too quiet for a street in the resident quarters of a city. He looked across the street, up the side of the opposite buildings, the windows of which all closed and nothing, no sign of life. There was no sound, no noise of traffic no bustling people going about their daily lives not even any creatures.

He reached for the hilt of his lightsaber, curled his fingers around it as he stepped out first. His force senses on high alert, searching for anything that would give him some guidance to the situation. Finally he ran to the opposite side of the street and began to make his way north, according to the scanner the center of the city was in that direction there had to be something or someone there.

The two ran for a short time and had not met with any resistance, until the sound of crunching feet hit their ears, and they were coming toward them. Theo grabbed the girl by the arm and pulled her into the first door he found that would open, found a window that looked out to the cross street and wait to see who would pass by. He could senses the presence of ten people and as they passed he notice they are armed and wearing armour .. and on patrol. At least that is how it appeared until they reached the corner and the leader split them, they are not on patrol, they are searching for people.

No response came from the so called ex-pirate king, at least verbally. Zeradias snarled as the man ignored him, almost eager to prove something. As if a small favor in the spur of the moment would overpower his misdeeds of the past.

Looking to the executive officer of the Retribution, the flagship of Battlegroup Gryphon, Zeradias gave his next set of marching orders.

"Send the pursuit line to intercept. Heavy cruiser line to the opposite of Mr. Miles' forces, weapons free."

The droid nodded simply at the redhead's suggestions. "I see," she replied simply and paused for a minute before she continued. "It would be in the best interests of the Iron Empire that we procure technology to fortify those planets under our protection as well as items that will help us in combat with Force-sensitives."

Finally opening the catalogue, Irene reached for a pen and paper and began to list the items she had been recommended. All defense turrets, planetary shield, graphite grappling guns, HypnoGaze, Leovi's Wings-Class Personal Jet Propulsion System, Wrist Mounted Flamer, Electro-Cestus, Gados Electro-Flails, The Bobcasters/The Shattering Bowcasters, Bolt Guns MK 3 "Heavy Bolters", High Velocity Kinetic Firearm- Mass Driver-1, High Velocity Kinetic Firearm- Rotary Cannon-1, High Velocity Kinetic Firearm- Semiautomatic Rifle-1, High Velocity Kinetic Firearm- Shattergun Rifle-2 The Magnetic Repeater, "Lady Fingers" OP-BHP, Plasma Energy Firearm- Blaster Staff- 1, APE Boltgun Ammunition, and Wrist Bolter.

"Is this acceptable?" the droid handed the list to the redhead. From the length of the list, it was obvious she had little experience with money.

The droid managed to really unnerve Elpsis by...handing her a piece of paper. Yes, this writer is dead serious, dear reader. The firemane was physically blind and thus unable to read anything the fiscally inexperienced machine had written down.

"Uh...could you please read that out for me? I'm blind, so I can't read it," Elpsis said a bit sheepishly and flushed strongly. Her skin began to resemble her flaming red hair. This was really embarrassing for her. It made her wonder whether Auntie Siobhan had given her this assignment just to troll her.

KYREN VANCE - SOLDIER IN THE IRON EMPIRE
LOCATION - MISAMA, SURFACE
OBJECTIVE - INFILTRATE THE MAIN TERRORIST STRONGHOLD AND RESCUE ASTER ROSE BAELOR
POST #1
Holy hell did his head hurt.
Kyren shook his leg free of a fallen hunk of metal, doing his best to avoid the burning flames. Once he was free of his prison, he turned his aching body to the right, searching for any survivors of the crash. He found none, only much unluckier souls crushed and burnt within the Corvette.
He gasped as he stood to his feet. For a moment, his vision was blurred. His legs threatened to topple from underneath him. Only grasping the side of the hull kept him from toppling down. Breathing slowly, he limped his way forward, emerging from a tear in the Corvette's hull...
And into the mouth of hell itself.
Ships burned in the atmosphere, as Iron Empire and terrorist forces clashed on the ground. Blasters and screams were exchanged from both sides. Behind them, the planet burned a furious red. This was a conflict unlike any other, one that Kyren had only chanced to see once or twice in his life.
It was glorious.
Then, Kyren remembered his mission. He took out his comnlink, broadcasting on Iron Empire channels.
"This is Kyren Vance. Our corvette was shot down attempting to land. Were the other teams successful in securing the target? Do you require support?"

Glowing green turbolasers pierced the black vacuum, dissipating into the shields of the large battlecruiser. The might of the Iron Imperial Navy alone was too much for the vessel to sustain any hope of victory, but augmented with the surprising addition of the elder Miles' vessels, they were damn near invincible. As missiles sailed into their targets, unleashing large fiery clouds of impending destruction, the battlecruiser met the force of it's opposition with equal ferocity and firepower.

Zeradias looked at the battle unfolding before him, and with his hands at the small of his back, did an about face and proceeded to his private quarters aboard the Retribution. It was time to report to the emperor. He was confident that he would be pleased with the progress of the Iron Imperial forces, though the presence of the ex-pirate king might cause some undue anxiety due to his checkered past. This would be a discussion that they would need to have again in the near future.

As he sat in his office chair, he turned on his holotransmitter and began paging his emperor. Clearing his throat, he gazed into the emperor's blue figure as he began.

Aedan Miles watched as the shields flickered on the enemy ship he quickly stepped forward pointing towards a place just above the engines. "Target there and disable the hyperdrive we will have it repaired before it is time to leave. Also contact the rest of the fleet and have them remain outside of Iron Empire space for now I feel like I am going to be dragged before another ruler in chains soon." He chuckled as he returned to his command throne sitting down in it one leg kicked over an arm as he leaned against the other arm watching his ships target their hyperdrive farther disabling the already damaged vessel.
