Aboard the Star Destroyer Reviler, Velok watched through a gigantic fighter screen as the fleeing shuttle entered maximum interception range of said fighter screen -- with Republic and Echani vessels in hot pursuit.

The fighter screen around the asteroid held roughly five hundred starfighters, the combined hangar loads of five Pellaeon-class Star Destroyers. At Velok's command, two hundred blindingly fast Taral-class starfighters broke away from the near portion of the screen and accelerated for the shuttle, intending to give it some cover and engage the shuttle's pursuers.

As Wolan's squadron began heading towards Selena's, they managed to join up fairly quickly. The frigate was following along pretty nicely and would be within range soon enough.

''We're on your tail Halcyon. Give us the word when you want us to go in''', Wolan said, via comm.

Jinn Sibot

Child of the Darkness
[Nickle One - Surface]

When the Sith master showed up at the munitions facility he had ordered Jinn to begin placing traps along the perimeter, which he did happily since his strength had yet to return. While he was going about his task someone he recognized showed up, a senator from the Republic commanding a small legion of Verpine with him. The sith had watched as the master began taking out droves of bugs, basked in the insects fear as they retreated...the anger the master unleashed...it was astounding. Jinn could have stayed and helped, but the master seemed like he was doing a capital job of taking care of things himself and Jinn had yet to quench his endless bloodthirst. So he decided to shadow that other being who had made his way into the asteroid, knowing well that he would lead him to the Republican representative.

The mad dog Sith was finally catching up with the bodyguard, his form slowly making its way into the crazed lunatics sight. The fear, the anger...the emotion everywhere was absolute paradise for Jinn. He was the demon of war and the Republic was in his playground now...

Midway to Vault -> En-route to Generator space

"Kirk," he replied to @[member="Skorn Draclau"], heavily emphasizing the first "K".

Looking to his Comm Officer, Kirk then asked, "What's the news?"

"Not good," answered the worried man, "Multiple fleets are engaging our allies. The Verpine leader of the Imperial coalition is being abducted by a hostile ship. The Empress is demanding Lord Draclau's presence."

The look on Kirk's face told much about how nerve-wracking the battle seemed to be. It seemed like just a second ago they just entered the system and began to set up for battle. Now, things were in full swing and Kirk had to make a quick decision.

Turning to Skorn and @[member="Natasi Fortan"], Kirk told them, "You've permission to take a shuttle to the Vault. One of my fighters will escort you. I'm turning this ship around, so be quick."

After saying that, Kirk gave the orders to have the Dalek-class Kalakar about face and speed toward the Verpine Sith Representative - who was heading toward the Roche Hive Research Asteroid. Once the ship got underway, it blasted apart chunks of asteroids that could cause damage so that it could pass through. The smaller pieces would pose little trouble for the Star Destroyer.

Given enough time, Kirk believed he could reach the Imperial ally and protect him from @[member="Kamon Vondiranach"]. By the time he would have reached the area though, it would have been just in time to help the other ships of the Empire rather than just the Verpine emissary.

Of course, when you block a kick strong enough to break bone with... another bone, well, he wasn't sure what he hit, but he was sure enough that it was damaged now, leaving a substantial dent in the armor of the blocking leg. He pushed himself with his hand towards his opponent as his arm came up, the leg he kicked with still braced against the leg Zaiden had blocked with. The cortosis bracer on his right forearm caught the saber blow, deactivating the Sith's lightsaber as he kicked off the damaged armor back out of the path of the spear, feeling it tear through the edge of his inner thigh, a trail of blood now running down his leg. He landed on a hand and flipped back onto both feet, shaking his head at his opponent.

"The Force guides me, I have no need for my eyes to see. Your saber will do you no good here. I suggest you turn and run."

As if rising from the blackest abyss imaginable, the Infidus Diabolus II began to move into attack range to intercept the enemy vessels pursuing the Sith Delegation Transport, all sorts of fighters, interceptors and bombers screaming out of the Star Destroyer's gullet to add even more numbers to Velok's swarm. A menagerie of corvettes and frigates broke off defensive formation around the Star Destroyer to add their fire power and support to the attack, spreading out at wide intervals to try and surround the incoming ships. Kaine watched eagerly from the bridge of his flagship as the pieces on the chessboard moved into perfect sync.

"Ok bring bring it in were getting out of here now!" Jesta hissed into his comm. As another soldier and others came to assist it was the best time to move. Backing away and letting the several guards gang up on then Sith Jesta chuckled and put his hands up in surrender. The republic Rep was directly behind him. Looking at the rail station behind the Sith Jesta watched as another walked out from the station. But not soon after that a ship came speeding overhead from the station. "Sorry boys but our ride is here. Its been an education!" Jesta spat suddenly swinging his body around and wrapping his arms around the Vupine rep as the Transponder blinked on his wrist. Suddenly as the shuttle suddenly activated a tractor beam on his exact location. His body was quickly jerked into the air since the ship never actually stopped and threw them into the air. Taking them far away quickly as the beam carried them up to the shuttle. Looking up at the shuttle the door opened and brutus opened the door. "Miss me?" He asked. Jesta laughed as the rep was taken first and pulled into the shuttle. Then jesta next. "Never thought id be so happy to see that ugly face." Jesta joked closing the door as the shuttle headed for space. Entering the orbit.

Zaiden started laughing...and kept growing further and further towards hysterics, "My saber will do no good?! Darkestnite will never be done!! It calls forth Shadows like you Jedi spew your religious nonsense!!" With that, the shadows around his enemy began randomly solidifying and slashing at him. All the while, Zaiden rubbed his dented leg bracer. His leg was not broken, but it hurt. A lot.

Leaping into the shadows, Zaiden drew his father's scarlet saber and began slashing out well placed blows.

[Nickle One - Railstation & Hanger]

Jinn watched as the car containing the representative and the cat zipped away down the rails. Jinn watched for a second before deciding that he would give chase in his Firespray-31 docked in the hanger. "The representative for the Republic has just gone to the hanger, I'm moving to my ship to peruse." Jinn called into his commlink before jumping into another cart, holding it for anyone who wished to join him. He deflected a few rounds from the swarming Verpine, holding the door for only a few moments before letting it slam closed. The rail zipped off to the hanger, arriving in a few short minutes that was all wasted time. When he stepped out of the car he watched as the shuttle containing the representative lifted off into space.

Jinn growled as he marched towards his ship, deflecting rounds from Republic Verpine guards before picking them up with the force and throwing them into the shields of the hanger. He quickly ran up the ramp of his ship, throwing himself into the cockpit and readying the systems. Quickly the ship lifted off the deck, spun a quick cirlce and entered orbit after the shuttles.

Jaxton saw a familiar lethe twi'lek run below, then past her, and extended his hand upwards to catch the Magnaguards staff as he slashed forward, disconnecting the mid-section joint of the Magnaguard in front of him. Using the Force to increase his strength he ripped the electrostaff from the droids hand and then launched it forward like a missile, upwards, then ran forward and picked up the other Magnaguards electro staff and chucked it low towards the floor, at the twi'lek's legs, and rushed forward with a speed most couldn't equally athletically or with the Force, but only with a combination of both. His actions would force her to divert her course, slowing her down. Jaxton would catch her soon . . .

He sighed and allowed himself to see through the Force. The shadows were a small cloud of dark side energies that would consolidate whenever they went out to attack. He was struck by the first few as he tried to learn to watch for it before getting the hang of the whole thing, suffering a few cuts to his shoulders and gouged son his chest plate. However, the Sith stood out, having to exert his control over the whole thing as he did. His saber hilts were in his hands, quickly ignited as the other tried to lash out at him, violet blades crossing with the crimson.

"I think the only nonsense I've heard so far is an 'armorer' talking about how they don't know how space-ready armor is made." He crossed his blades to catch his opponents and sent a kick towards the damaged leg once more, aiming to break through the armor there.

To the rear of the Echani vessels came Seth Shorn's flotilla. As the Grand Vizier's forces moved to counter the Echani advance and secure the fleeing shuttle carrying the representative, the Praetor sought to encircle them from the rear. The flotilla screamed through space at full sublight engine speed, all power to the forward shields and prow batteries. From the two Pellaeons came an unholy salvo of proton torpedoes, thirty-two in all, headed straight for the tightly packed Echani ships. The torpedoes cut through space like the advance guard of death itself, speeding on their way to announce with violent cacophony the arrival of the Republic's doom.

In a spearhead formation, the flotilla advanced. The six Rampants formed the point of the wedge and its outer edges. Armed with triple redundant shields they were sturdy little vessels that could take severe punishment and give it back in kind. Behind them lay the Anemoi-class corvettes, all four of them, were stationed just behind the Rampants in order to act in their dedicated niche role as anti-aircraft support vessels, while behind them all the Pellaeons sat like twin giants, already unleashing their long range missiles.

Shorn watched it all with grim satisfaction. Biding his time had worked. The Echani and Republic detachment ignored his flotilla and went for the big prize of the asteroid. Shorn's adamantine gaze watched the progress on the holomap. He regretted the loss of life and slaughter that would follow when the encircled Echani would be pounded to pieces from two sides, but it was necessary. Once the Empire ruled the galaxy, peace could follow. Not before.

As it was, not counter-attacking G99 seemed to be paying off. And the Echani were footing the bill.

"Officer Mordrid, open fire with all forward batteries when we are in range. Concentrate fire on single ships, do not engage at random. It seems the Grand Vizier and Lord Velok have already engaged their front. We shall drive them between hammer and anvil."

"Aye, Praetor. I will relay it immediately," replied the Weapons Systems Officer.

The mood on the bridge mirrored Seth's own. The officers all worked with silent intensity. They sought the coming battle in retribution for the earlier forced retreat. And now they would drive like a spear straight into the back of the enemy warships.

"Deploy all starfighters, the Wing Leaders have orders to harry the enemy fleet's far flanks to prevent them from dispersing. There will be no fleeing for the Echani this day."

"Incoming fighters!" one of the bridge staff shouted. "Well frak." Maiden chuckled, "So they decided to show up eh?" She had to think fast. Things were looking bad. Her ally above her was caught between 4 forces and she would soon be descended upon by a locust of fighters, even before she reached the generator. She had to create a diversion that would deal with the swarm of fighters. She looked into the holo-map and gazed into its images for some sort of inspiration. Then she spotted it, the load of missiles and ammunition the shuttle had jettisoned, she then glanced at the small asteroid and debris that hanged about the area. Iron Maiden, lunged away from the table and ran towards the commander's platform. "Activated tractor beams to maximum power, catch those asteroids around us pull them in with the engines full power sling them in front of us! It'll by us sometime and give us a buffer for a moment" she confidently called out. I won't lose her damn it. I'm not finished just yet. She then whipped her head back and shouted at the communications officer, "Send a message to the Republic Main fleet back at G99, send them the following message: 'With All-Due-Respect from Iron Maiden: GET YOUR ARSES INTO GEAR AND MOVE OUT OF G99 AND HELP US!'..." She then turned back to her main monitors. The asteroids were being pulled in and the engines roared a horrifying sound.

"Cut the tractor beams!" the bridge responded. The asteroids stopped being pulled in and with the momentum they gained from moving with the ship they slung forward towards the on-coming fighters, it was a thin screen but enough to force the swarm of fighters to be forced into smaller groups to avoid the asteroid screen and thus more manageable. "All hands BATTLESTATIONS!...Prep the guns, get point defence turrets ready and ready the fighters, get ready to scatter when I say so!" Iron Maiden was in her element, near doom was approaching and they were in a tight spot. God she loved it when this happens. Iron Maiden shouted one more command, "HOLD ON BOYS! KEEP THOSE ENGINES ON FULL POWER. WE'LL GET THERE! I PROMISE YOU"

Zaiden laughed yet again, "Who said I knew not?! I said my own armors are enough for a space walk!! I need no others!!" He smiled, knowing the man thought he was beginning to understand the shadows, but Zaiden himself didn't understand them. He only knew that they responded to his will. And the more concentrated he was the more powerful the constructs could be.

Allowing the shadows to begin swirling on their own, he kept slashing at the boy. Zaiden only allowed the shadows the energy to become their own solidified creations, letting them control themselves. Stepping around the second kick, and faked a leftward slash that would come across his chest, using the moment the boy would follow his saber to draw his cyan one as well. This he brought in for a powerful downward slash starting at the left, that would cleave from shoulder to him.

Spencer felt her heart race; she started to break the calm that she needed to maintain. Catching this early helped Spencer regain her composure and continue her work. Her father was someone she did not understand. The man put everything ahead of her, his wife, his duty, and his morals. There was more to life than this; he was the one that wanted her and her brother right? Spencer did her best to push aside the teenage feelings she felt, it was easier to communicate with Aston when she was feeling this way, even Ashin was able to read her. It was frustrating and Spencer knew that no matter how much she wanted this to work, it was not going too. Once more her father put something above her importance. Despite this being a battlefield she knew others would not have done the same. Her fingers scrapped the bottom of the meditation room as she made fists.

Once more you put something ahead of me. So if it comes to it you will kill me, is that what you foresaw when you went to my mother and begged for her to help you conceive my brother and me? I hate Hanna, I hate that she’s of more value to you; I hate your duty and your self-proclaimed Grand Master title. Darron Wraith has been more to me, doing his best to try and bring me back to the light. He’s the true Grand Master. Kamon, I wish you never had come to tell me you were my father. I was happy dreaming of who he was and how meeting him would be one of the best days of my life.

I put you on a pedestal and was disappointed because I am not important. I am just in the way.

Spencer heard Avicus’ voice in the back of her mind; he wanted her to feel love. He wanted her to put that into the force with her battle meditation. It was difficult to find that love, Kamon unknowingly was destroying her from the inside. Spencer took a moment and searched her mind and heart finding things that she loved, but nothing fitting the right mold. She found one thing; she found that piece of love that she needed to hold on to, the one thing that kept her going. Holding onto it she kept it for herself as her own motivation. No one else needed to feel this, it was hers to cherish.

This writer blames the need to sleep for the fact they have woken up to seven (!) extra pages.

Still, if this writer judges correctly...stuff happened, and now the strange furry assassin was trying to get the Verpine off Nickel One. We shall assume that Phylis has been doing things...and making snide comments and stuff, and only now assumes her true and mighty place.

"Right, let's go! Siobhan, let's cover their retreat! Get to your ship!" They were left to ensure that their ally got away unmolested, and thus they had to keep the Sith away whilst the transport headed back to G99. Swiftly returning to her fighter, Phylis climbed in and took off, taking an escort pattern around Jesta's ship as it started to power away....

SPACE, coming in from the north east of Nickel One, hoping to cut off the Sith representative's retreat.
@[member="Iron Maiden"] @Kaine Zambrano, @Velok, @Rytek'irk'intrano,

The incredibly complex battle was raging when the Republic warship 'Indomitable' moved into position. It was too far away at that moment to directly engage the Verpine's transport, but it was close enough to open fire on the Sith warships, coming in from the flank. If they did not redeploy at least one capital ship to counter the Star Defender they would be flanked and enfiladed....

"Roger that, Praetor," Maximilian responded to Seth. "Moving out."

His squadron detached from the flotilla and investigated - and found all hell breaking loose. It seemed that the Echani spacecraft had been unleashed upon by a horde of Pellaeon-class Destroyers, and was now completely surrounded and separated from the rest of the Republic Fleet. Maximilian's squadrons only added to the mass of forces that descended upon the Echani ships. He piloted his fighter between a slow-moving asteroid; it was a nuisance, but a minor one. As of now, the Empire controlled this area of space.

"Prowler Six, engaging," Lieutenant Jens announced as his TIE's laser blasts destroyed a turbolaser battery on the hull of Iron Maiden's ship.

Velok squinted at the battle display. His flotilla, the main defense fleet of the Sith base, was comprised of five Pellaeon-class Star Destroyers. He detached three, still well within the all-encompassing fighter screen, to specifically reorient to face Stahlmann's incoming vessels.

It was, as before, a waiting game. Would Stahlman plow into a cloud of five hundred starfighters and face three Star Destroyers head to head, or would he, like Iron Maiden, break away?

NICKEL ONE - SURFACE STATION

Tyrin witnessed something he would never fully be able to wrap his head around, and he merely observed in a manner most would describe as flabbergasted. What had just occurred was not ridiculous, ludicrous, or even lunacy. It was unfeasible, impossible! But it seemed the laws of physics, nay, reality itself had taken a brief vacation from its duties in order to expedite the retreat of his quarry. As he watched the shuttle whisk away, his target in tow (despite having vanished from sight earlier), he was joined by a number of other Sith Assassins, lead by a Sith Lady. He wanted to appreciate the compliment, but he was duty-bound to rectify it.

"I didn't train them, but I am flattered you thought so. It matters little, considering what a disgusting failure this was." Tyrin grimaced, ordering his colleagues to regroup with him. Perhaps if he waited, the laws governing reality would take another brief vacation and enable him to transform into a space-Rancor with Cortosis skin and jet engine legs, allowing him to give chase to the shuttle. Tyrin paused a few moments, but he had no such luck.

"Still, perhaps it is not too late to help elsewhere. The Munitions facility may still be under siege, or perhaps we can find some Republic sympathizers to slaughter yet. Space itself is probably a madhouse at this stage of the battle, so I doubt deploying to another asteroid is feasible."
