Moving Right of Generator Asteroid Towards Open Space (Away from Seth's Flotilla and to Velok's physical left)

Kamon smirked. These Imperials did not know the specs of these vessels. Sure they resembled, in size, the vessels of their Republic counterparts, but there was a major difference between them: speed. The point ships of Seth's flotilla, though smaller than the AFAS, were slower than it. The IFAS was even faster than the AFAS, which allowed them to outrun the approaching storm of weaponry, and what little did get to them hit off of shields.
The main problem here were the fighters. The ships kept in tight, Kamon using the provided meld for information and direction of all crews. Point defense weapons flashed and danced, and torpedoes were launched at the enemy fighters. There were a lot of them, but the Echani vessels were moving on a course that would take them out of the safety zone the fighters required.
Then came @[member="Spencer Jacobs"] once more.
Daughter, listen to me. Hear me and my plea to you. All I have ever wanted was to be a father. I expelled every shred of energy in my body to conceive you with your mother. But when I did, I was as happy as I have ever been. I could feel the both of you growing within Satara's womb and I was ecstatic. But I had to leave in search of my siblings. Kalia and Corbin were lost to me and your mother knew I was leaving. I wasn't sure I would ever see you. I was nervous that day I introduced myself to you. I'd missed so much of your lives...
The ship rocked and he grabbed the back of a chair to steady himself.
"Turn further away. More distance from the fighter line if you please. Continue to return fire."
He reached back to Spencer.
You have grown. You are a beautiful, powerful, spirited young woman and I will not command you to do anything. Do you want me to stand by and lecture you as Darron used to? Or do you want me to love you and wish the best for you? I love you, Spencer. I will not ask that you like Hanna, but she was in danger, as was your unborn sibling. I cannot be there for you all the time, Spencer. I wish that I could, but it's not possible. You have a brother I must also see to and a sibling on the way. Have I screwed up? Undoubtedly. I don't know how to be a father. I missed all of your formative years which was where the learning would be done.
We need to learn to communicate. Neither of us appears to be very good at it. Fort starters, we need to spend more time together. I do want to spend time with you, and I do love you. And no, I would never kill you. Fight to stop you if necessary, yes, but I would never kill you. I cannot kill my children. I love you all too much for that. Spencer you mean everything to me. That's why I'm concerned for you. I don't want to lose you. I hope you can understand that and give your father another chance because he's an old fool who is walking blind.
"Sir, they're trying to close us off, but they're not fast enough to do so. Orders?"
"Continue to head on this course at full sublight. They won't catch us, but I'm happy to keep them busy chasing us and expending their ammo. Have the tractor beams grab any passing asteroids and sling them towards the Generator Asteroid. They'll probably blast them, but it can't hurt."
"Yes, sir."
Speed. The greatest of weapons were made so by their ability to move. Powerful ships that were slow meant little against many smaller ships that were too fast to be caught.
