Jinn Sibot

Child of the Darkness
-Shuttle Engagement-

Jinn looked around his ship, this was the last chance he had. No longer could the sith use his weapons to take out the representative, he would need to do something that any other man might consider drastic. He stabilized his ship and headed straight for the convoy, he directed all power into his shields and engines, letting the life support systems and all other functions slowly fail as he put on the additional apparatus on his mask that would allow him to survive in space. He continued to barrel the ship towards the convoy, doing his best to avoid the rain of fire from the frigate as he charged towards them. He primed all proton torpedoes and mines and set them for self destruct. His ship was now a barreling Kamikaze that nothing could stop.

Jinn opened the back ramp and used the force to keep him grounded and create a shell around his body to keep him pressurized as the vacuum of space tried to suck him out into the unknown. He kept the ship on course, giving the engines one last thrust before diverting their power to the shields. Now that all power was to the shields nothing else on the ship worked, but it would keep its momentum. The ship was to close to the shuttles for them to dodge anyway. Jinn quickly stood from his seat and ran to the back of the ship where he threw himself into space, spinning around and shoving the ship forward with a force push for good measure. As the ship came within just mere yards of the shuttles..its payload detonated. A brilliant blue and green display of lights shot into space. The payload would ensure that, at bare minimum, the Republic Rep would be sucked into vacuum and that was only if he was lucky enough to not be obliterated.

Phylis noted the odd way the Sith ship was moving, mechanically, the way it was accelerating...it was going to do a death charge!

Cursing her luck Phylis swept in, knowing there was little she could do to stop this kamakaze strike. However, she did have her own missiles, and as the Sith fighter got closer she fired a full salvo of two missiles. They hit the Sith ship just as it was about to impact and detonated. A huge fireball flamed out into the vacuum. her missiles had helped divert and detonate the enemy ship a fraction away from their lethal velocity. Therefore while Jesta's ship would be damaged it would not have been utterly destroyed.

She did wonder though as she swept past Jesta's frigate...where was the Sith?

Jesta

Special Agent Joker
---ABAORD JESTAS FRIGATE.---

"AHAHAHAHA, NOW THIS GUY IS A SOLDIER!" Jesta shouted enthusiastically. The man had launched his ship towards the shuttle in a attempt to blow him and the Rep up. How brave. But sadly Jesta always came prepared. Pressing. Button on his wrist Jesta watched as one of the ships canons fired directly at the ship as the Sith jumped out the back. Before the ship got anywhere near Jesta the canon shot through the ship and all the torpedoes and mines he fired all at once. Causing a explosion that Brutus simply evaded by flying up but the blast was so powerrful he felt the shuttle shake and things begun to fall off. "Damn damn damn!" Jesta said falling to the ground and bouncing around. Well that worked. Jesta had his shuttle fly up to his Frigate, going into the hanger the shields activated and anything that tried to come through would be vaporized. Jesta made sure no one was hitching a ride on his shuttle and he stepped out. "Mission accomplished." Jesta said walking off his shuttle and having his squad escort him to the crews quarters. Jesta turned around and ar brutus who was kicking the ship. "THAT DAMN SITH REUINED MY SHIP!" He screamed. Jesta looked at it and saw the damn shuttle was completely destoryed. Jesta laughed. "Ill buy you a new toy brutus." He told him.

Siobhan gave pursuit along with Phylis, witnessing the kamikaze run. While she could not stop it, she had her share of missiles as well and immediately launched a salvo as the Sith fighter closed in. Her missiles struck the fighter as it was closed in on Jesta's ship, further intensifying the effect as it was enveloped by a large fireball. The impact of the missile strike helped divert and knock the Sith ship away, just a bit further from a proximity to Jesta's ship that might be considered lethal.

Of course, where was the Sith? But no matter the Representative was safe and that was what counted.

"Nice work, Siobhan, Jesta. Permission to come aboard the frigate? My ship needs a few dents ironed out...."

Mission accomplished...for now.

Jesta commed in. "I do not mind however make sure the sith dosent hitch a ride on your ships. I have my crew in the hanger woth rocket launchers so if he tries he will die." Jesta told him. Standing at rhe hanger and watching to see if snyone tried to fome through. His pistol at the ready.

Jinn Sibot

Child of the Darkness
[Floating gently though space like a cloud]

Jinn watched as his ship exploded...his father would be pissed. Well considering he stole it from him in the first place he was probably already pissed. He looked around his surroundings. He could only keep his force shell going so long until he became a victim to the harsh vacuum of space. He spotted a X-Wing flying through space, probably going to make sure no more suicide runs would be taken on the Rep. Jinn used the force to slightly pull the ship towards him, changing the trajectory just enough for it to start heading towards the Sith. One by one Jinn began shutting down the systems of the fighter by using the force to disconnect electrical circuits and power cufflinks. The ships engines slowly died and it was easy enough for Jinn to bring the ship to a gentle stop next to the man. He used the force to propell him onto the wing where he grabbed on and climbed his way to the cockpit where the pilot was trying to get his systems back online. With a stroke of his hand, Jinn opened the cockpit with the force and grabbed the man by the neck in his large hand.

"I'll be borrowing your ship, my good man." Jinn said cynically as he chucked the pilot off into space. He climbed into the ship, closed the canopy and began reattaching all the parts he had disconnected. It took some focus but it was not that difficult of a fix as it was mostly main breakers that were easy to feel with the force. With the ship back in operation, Jinn began his way to Sith fleet, transmitting a sith signal to make sure he wasn't blasted on approach.

"And here I thought you didn't like flying, Phyl," Siobhan quipped, ironically considering she had little love for piloting as well. She steered her vessel towards the freighter, following Phylis and moving in to land in the hangar behind her.

Her vessel had not taken damage, but they could the chance to plan and get an overview, which worked better face to face than through the intercom. She sent a signal to Jesta to make the crew know she was coming aboard.

Jesta

Special Agent Joker
Jesta kept steady aim on the hanger bay as a ship paged him to bored. Looking to his crew Jesta nodded. "Let them in." Jesta told them. The shield deactivated and allowed the ship to land. Once they were adored the shield would go back up. Jesta kept aim on the cockpit as his men surrounded the ship as a precaution.

Phylis stumbled out and almost fell onto the deck. She was shaking ever so slightly. "I do hate flying," she said. Her fighter had seen better days though.

"Do you have another ship I can use, Jesta? I'm heading back to G99 to help defend it in case anything happens there. Siobhan, did you want to come with me, or are you going back into the fray?"

Jesta

Special Agent Joker
Jesta kept his gun aimed at the women as she stumbled out her ship then he laughed like a maniac and put it away. "Yes i have about five X-fighters. Use them as you wish." Jesta said walking up to her and helping her up. "Also. As a small reward for your troubles ill let you pick some guns and weaponry from my personal stash. Both of you." Jesta said skipping down the hanger.

Siobhan approached and tried to stabilise Phylis a bit, gripping her gently so that she kept her balance. No, she did not try to cop a feel. "Would you miss me if I left you?" she asked innocently, batting her eyelashes a bit. "Figure I'll come along for now. Trouble's bound to pop up soon again."

He freed one of his sabers to block the second his opponent drew. He hadn't expected protection from the lightning from the other Sith, but that was their downfall. Infighting.

Using the other Sith's distraction he used his friction with the other's sabers to jump upwards slightly, bringing both his knees to his chest and then kicking outward into his opponent's chest with both feet, sending himself well back from the Sith and hopefully damaging his chest plate as well, landing with another backflip on his feet. "Well, truth be told I'd imagine you might need the help. After all, you're having issues with memory loss, too. After all, you're the one who said you wouldn't know not a few moments ago. Besides, she seems much more capable. I'd be concerned about fighting her. And I bet she doesn't need all the showy shadow tricks either." He wouldn't mind it if he could keep them bickering at one another either.

[Open Space near Generator - @[member="Kamon Vondiranach"] @[member="Seth Shorn"] ]

Jens had received his orders from the Praetor aboard the Adjudicator and was instructed to continue assailing the Echani vessels. The vessels themselves were routed and in full retreat, so this task in itself did not pose a problem. Ironically, it was the Empire's own forces that made the battlefield so encumbered and chaotic, for there were no less than eight hundred starfighters deployed against the Echani. The Lieutenant kept a sharp eye forward at all times, not even bothering to look at his radar screen which was alight with blips of friendly craft, instead focusing his sight on what was ahead of him, making sure to not inadvertently collide with friendly spacecraft.

"Prowler Squadron on my point, form up for another attack run."

Maximilian, together with the rest of his squadron, strafed Kamon's vessel and pelted its hull, unleashing any and all torpedoes and turbolaser fire within their capabilities upon it. Individually they were insignificant, but aided by an entire Battlegroup of Imperial fighters, they became like a swarm of angry hornets, mercilessly chipping away at the Echani vessel.

The original two hundred starfighters which Velok had dispatched to defeat the Echani had succeeded wonderfully, chasing the Echani back towards G99. And they had been joined by over two hundred starfighters belonging to Praetor Shorn's vessels.

The remaining three hundred starfighters continued to form a fighter screen all the way around the small, shielded, armed generator research facility, under the watchful protection of Velok's five Pellaeons. Three of those ships were now oriented to face Stahlmann's force, which was directly oncoming.

Meanwhile, finally unopposed, the shuttle containing the Sith-sympathetic Verpine leader entered the safety of the main fighter screen and docked with Velok's command ship. Also, Velok's Pellaeons tractored the flung asteroids away; the facility's own turbolasers destroyed the remainder.

"The Republic dropships punched through our screen -- fighter screen, continue to engage." @[member="Iron Maiden"]

"Orders to all fighters of the separated detachment. Let the Echani run. The pursuit has taken them a good way out; instruct them to loop east and hit the rear of Stahlmann's force as it bears down on our main fighter screen. @[member="Rytek'irk'intrano"] is in perfect position to hit the fleeing Echani vessels."

OOC: Based on what Phylis described in the OOC thread, here's my estimation of the battlefield. The red line is what I'm ordering, though of course it'll take a bit to get in position and Stahlmann has plenty of time to counter.

Jinn Sibot

Child of the Darkness
[Near Seth's fleet]

Jinn kept thinking of how we was going to replace that ship of his. It was an old design but he knew it was still popular with some small groups, perhaps he could buy one and have it outfitted. Jinn had nothing but money saved up from his days as a mercenary and Deathwatch, he had no need to use it most the time so it just sat around and collected dust. Well, now he had a reason to use it.

As jinn made his way back to the fleet, he began seeing the affects of the Echani interference in the area. Their ships were being hammered away by the Sith fighter forces. Jinn smiled at the death and destruction as it took place before him. The Echani began to run and Jinn heard lord Valek command that they be allowed to retreat so that the fighters could attack the rear of Stahlmann's force. That would be easy enough for the Sith who was currently flying an X-Wing. Jinn took the initiative and began his way to the rear of the enemy force.

Which was all Skorn had really needed from the Moff. He nodded and turned to leave only to come face to face with Natasi Fortan. Her face felt familiar but her name was lost to him. Skorn tried to recall the name, The Empress had said something about having one of her best infiltration agents with him on this. Time being of the essence, Introductions had to be hurried through.

A solitary shuttle departed the Chiss's capital ship. Inside, Skorn was poring over what seemed like maps. Natasi Fortan. No sooner had they gotten out of comm range with Kirk's ship that Skorn relayed new orders to the Pilot of the Shuttle.

"Pilot, make for G99. We are not going to the Vault. We need to infiltrate the Fighter facility."

After a few standard protests, the man turned the ship about and set course. The maps Skorn was going over were steadily detailing the battle as it progressed. Both sides were putting everything they had into this, with the fighting being concentrated around Nickel One. Hopefully, they would be able to get through to G99 because of that. He looked up, to glance at Natasi. It was hardly a plan, more of last minute arrangement. But sometimes one had to count on luck too.

"So, how convincingly can you mimic a Republic ensign?"

G99 - Inner Bay
@[member="Kalia Vondiranach"], @[member="MSE-007"]

"Puzzlement: this does not fit with logic, MSE-007. However, the Master - how I despise him - gives no mention to keep you from disassembly. Complete your programming."

The booming, synthesized and dischordant bass rumbled from the vocabulator of the terentatek. It and the company of stormtroopers fought their way through the mining tunnels, encountering little resistance of note.

The mining tunnels belched forth death. A ragged company of Imperial Stormtroopers floated out of the tunnels and immediately began setting up E-webs in order to lay down suppressing fire while they readied for the assault on the interior of the asteroid. Their armor was nicked, dinged and scratched. Some of them were so blaster burned and covered in grime that their pristeen white showed through only in small patches amidst otherwise battered plastoid armor. Yet this ragtag band survived the tunnels below. They could survive what lay ahead. What was more, they had desolation on their side.

A black and brown beast floated up from the mining tunnels behind the stormtroopers and settled to the ground with a thud. Sev3n's matrix processed the new environmental factors. Gravity, atmosphere, durasteel., and permacrete all were analyzed and new combat algorithms began to spin within Sev3n's processors. The terentatek clutched its giant mace and began stamping forward. An automated defense turret swung to fire on the terentatek. The giant monstrosity raised its mace on high and brought it down with ground shattering force. The turret shattered in to a one thousand eight hundred and seventy eight pieces - by Sev3n's rough estimates.

More turrets sprung up. The terentatek began playing whack-a-mole.

Elsewhere - G99 Outer Bay

The first of the Khan's dropships landed and unloaded several AT-STs, which immediately began to open fire on the laser cannon defenses guarding the interior. The walkers, though feebly balanced, packed a wallop.

Back in the Inner Bay

Sev3n finished negating the last turret in the grid. It stomped inward. The Master's orders were clear. Destroy. The terentatek began to rampage about, careening into a squad of terrified verpine soldiers and scattering them all in a single swing of its mace. Broken bug bodies flew through the air, leaving yellow smears in their wake.

3rd Company of the 211th began opening fire with their E-webs while the terentatek drew fire to itself. Bugs died in droves. Imperials, despite the many centuries, still seemed to have little regard for collateral damage. Members of their bomb squad began to ready charges so as to place them about the facility in the event of a retreat. They would not leave the fighter factory in the hands of the Republic. At least, not in one piece.
G99 INNER BAY

3rd Company of the 211th might have had E-Webs, Sev3n might have been a Terentatek, but MSE-007 was the harbinger of desolation. His repulsorlift sped him along, his blaster attachment fired almost without ceasing -- he killed and, furthermore, he killed.

Until he found your average, ordinary maintenance shaft.

BLATTT*

Carry on. Your harbinger shall prepare the way.

The mouse droid zipped into that access tunnel and ascended on its repulsors, searching for any kind of a diagnostic nodule. Seeing as MSE had long familiarity with every kind of relevant thing, it found said nodule quickly. Rerouting certain functions and permissions to allow him to open doors for Sev3n -- well, that was a slightly more difficult thing.

Hovering inside the maintenance shaft, MSE made some big doors open.

Space near Generator Asteroid
@[member="Velok"], @[member="Seth Shorn"]

As planned, Kalakar and her escort eventually got close enough to the battle near the Generator asteroid to get a visual on @[member="Kamon Vondiranach"]'s ships. His star destroyer blocked the path between the Generator and the Vault.

Not having any knowledge of the little father-daughter bonding moment, nor caring, Kirk ordered, "Launch all fighters and bombers! Objective is to destroy the entire enemy vanguard."

Ten combined squadrons of TIE star fighters and bombers raced toward the Echani ships.

"Prioritize the smaller attack ships," commanded Kirk, which was what he used to identify the Interceptor-class Fast Attack Ships.

As Kamon thought, speed was a deciding factor in space battle - yet another justification for Kirk's love of star fighters. With the Kalakar easily matching the speed of the Interceptor-class Fast Attack Ships, Kirk kept his main ship at a distance as the incredibly fast TIE Nexus fighters rushed forward to pave the means for the TIE Havoc bombers to do their job.

Moving towards the space between Vault and Nickel One
@[member="Rytek'irk'intrano"]

"Enemy forces bearing left. The other forces have broken off."

"Fire on that capital ship. Use our size to shield the remaining functional IFAS, and wish the Moon's blessing on the crews of the other three."

The weapons systems of the larger AFAS opened fire on Kirk's vessel. Though the AFAS was heavily damaged, the IFAS vessels had largely shielded it from prior onslaught. Its weapons systems were largely functional, though shields were damaged. It opened full fire on the Kalakar, while still pushing ahead towards the open space where it had a better chance of meeting up with friendly forces.

Unbeknownst to Kamon, the three Fighter squadrons had decided to disobey orders. Sometimes he loved the Echani fighting mentality. They appeared from where they'd broken through and began to mix it up with the Imperial craft. Khonsu and Sin squadrons were their best. He hoped they could hold some of the fighters at bay, or at least drive them back and away from the two fleeing vessels.

"Have the EMBU's load the shuttles and move all non-essential personnel to the escape pods pending evacuation orders."
