One of the Golden Companion's Company commanders called out, "We got incoming!" The rounds from storm troopers slammed into the area around the two columns of the Companions. Iron Maiden called out to her veteran soldiers, "Take-cover!" Maiden's column flung behind a parked shuttle while the other column moved to another beside them. She watched as her Jedi comrade was attacked by a Sith warrior. peaking around the corner she noticed a heavy contingent of storm troopers storming down the only exit along with a detached force holding the exits entrance in a bottleneck manoeuvre. Her bull-horned helmet turned back to her team and she called to all her companions. She could see them feeling unusually apprehensive and rather worried- almost consumed by doubt. "HOLD IT TOGETHER BOYS! THIS OUR FIGHT REMEMBER! SHOW'EM WHAT WE ARE MADE OF." Her boys were tough and not weak minded, years of war turned them into machines. Besides doubt was no match for Iron Maiden's booming voice. They'd follow her to the pits of hell.

She paused and let out her commands, "Croaker, Raven you're companies are with me" she then turned her head across to the other column, "Stormbringer, Goblin! Take the other companies and supply suppressive fire over those storm troopers! Make'em scatter into smaller formations. Fire a RPG round at'em mess up their advance" The two company commanders called out confirmations, turning about the appeared across the other side of the shuttle they were taking cover in and began to bombard the advancing storm troopers with blaster rounds and a single rpg round which burst into their ranks. Maiden turned to Croaker and Raven, "Call up the repeaters and set-em up here and supply that position with support fire. Croaker hold the position with the repeater's, Raven, me and you are gonna force an opening for us to advance in." Maiden calmly and coolly explained, while blaster rounds exploded around them. Croaker called out, "You got it." and Raven nodded. Maiden picked up her Z6 and Raven gestured for his company to follow her's. Croaker spun about and beaconed the repeater teams to set up two repeaters opposite side of the side of the shuttle Maiden and Raven ran off to. The repeater's stands were placed and while the Croaker and his company supplied even more suppressive fire. The repeaters where placed and activated in quick time and began to fire into the storm troopers creating a kill-zone in space between the access hallway and the shuttles.

Meanwhile, Iron Maiden and Raven appeared around the other corner of the shuttle and began to "blast'n'flank", as Maiden called it. Pulling up her Z6 she held her stance and the rotating gatling-like barrel began to spin and let out a mechanical hum. She looked across and noticed a Sith Warrior yet to engage her Jedi ally and was moving with the troopers to reach her. Activating her magnetic adhesive instalments in her gloves she aimed at the Sith warrior [@[member="Lucien Cordel"]] and growled, "Alright space wizard, EAT LASER!" Pulling the trigger a horrifying barrage of blaster rounds exploded at the Sith. She knew some would be deflected, but the Z6 spat out a enormous volume and in rapid intervals, it would be a very skilled Sith to deflect all of them. Raven then moved in behind her to set a rpg team, that fired into the group of what appear to Vong and others who were approaching the Jedi.

En route to G99

Natasi reviewed the maps, her eyes tracing the same lines that Skorn did. The forces looked evenly matched, but that didn't bode well for either side. As far as Natasi was concerned, even odds of victory wasn't nearly enough. The Empire's dominance ought to be completely unquestioned. Her dark eyes flicked over to Skorn after a moment, and she resisted the urge to throw in her lot with the Pilot's desire for caution. They would be traveling a dangerous route, to be sure, but what the Empress commands the Empress receives. She set her helmet on the bench beside her and leaned closer to examine the maps. One of the lines contained a fighter pilot named Maximilian Jens -- her father's heir and the only thing standing between Herevan Hold and a complete stranger. She hoped he--

The question distracted her, and she felt a little distraught. "A Republic ensign?" she repeated, her voice heavy with an Imperial accent. She quickly attempted to mimic the voice and bearing of what she thought a Republic ensign would have: slightly less formal than her Imperial counterpart (the Republic and their egalitarian delusions, honestly, but that was for another day), but still reasonably professional. "Uh, Ensign Jaran reporting for duty, sir. How's that? Is this going to involve costumes, because I didn't bring any." She picked up her helmet and fidgeted with it nervously, glancing back to the map anxiously before looking up at Skorn intently. "What are you planning, sir?"

GENERATOR ASTEROID HANGAR

Stormtroopers died, cut down by a single man. That Republic operative. Roa watched it all as one of the Sith moved to engage the Jedi. Roa left them to their matters. He circled around the shuttle to deal with the operative. Holstering his pistol and grabbing his ACP scatter gun from where it hung off on the shoulder strap, Roa fired at the man. The trigger clicked and a packet of accelerated particles dispersed in a shotgun blast toward Monty and everything else within six feet. He would be lucky indeed if he could dive away from that, but then he managed to survive two platoons shooting at him. Roa smelled his own pheromones in the air. Adrenaline and excitement. Quay smile on him, he would kill this man!

The Republic forces burst through into the hangar and began to engage the stormtrooper platoons. The Imperial Lieutenants immediately returned fire while setting up hasty-fighting positions behind durasteel crates and small vessels.

"Aim for the fuel tanks on those shuttles!"

Blasterfire whined. Bolts of plasma whipped through the air and smacked into the shuttles which the Republic forces were deploying behind. One of the stormtroopers got a lucky hit and a shuttle went up like a torch. A very explosive torch that sprayed shrapnel in all directions.

"THERMALS OUT!" called a lieutenant.

Thirty stormtroopers grabbed the thermal detonators on their backs, activated them with a twist, then tossed them at the incoming republic forces. Thermal Detonators were explosive due to the baradium, which when triggered, would cause a fission reaction. They were, in essence, miniature hand held nuclear bombs, with a twenty foot blast radius. Five feet inside the blast radius would literally incinerate to ashes anything it touched. Desperate times and all...

Lucien was able to deflect many of the maidens bolts and used the troopers to absorb the fire but he was hit in his left arm he yelped in pain the rage and pain advanced his connection to the dark side.He tossed a dead trooper toward the maiden the charged at her Sabre drawn swinging for her arm,"First i deal whith you then me and this army will kill your Jedi baby sitter" he barked.

Monty hid in the cover of the transport as the brazen merc advanced toward his position firing an advanced shotgun. It chipped away at the heavy durasteel machinery and a bolt missed Month by mere centimeters. Lucky. Lucky him. While most around him died he survived. He mused in his darker hours how lucky that actually made him.

A shuttle exploded on his twelve and he used the opportunity to reload and fire precisely at the man with the shotgun.

NICKLE ONE - MUNITIONS FACILITY

There were about four or five things that ever happens in the Galaxy that amazes Brunswick: One of them included Force-User lightsaber battles. He watched in awe as the two Jedi Knights battled the two Sith. Suddenly, the Kuati senator was distracted as he watched from the corner of his eyes a Twilek in Mandalorian amor lead a group of Mandalorians up to the munition facility. Apparently the Mandalorian was attacking the facility and its Verpine. "What a fool..." Brunswick thought to himself and let out a snort of laughter. The Mandalorians were slaughtering the Verpine inside the facility. Did they not know that the Verpine that they were shooting in the face were actually on the same side as them? "They were basically killing each other." he thought, amused that a Mandalorian could be so idiotic.

The Senator of Kuat armed himself with two blaster rifles that he collected from the dead Verpine on the ground and walked towards the facility. He hid behind a crate of cargos (ones that weren't currently in the process of getting blasted around by the Force-Users), and continued to watch the weird site. The Imperials had been already in control of the facility from the start. Why in the world were they attacking it if it was their own?

Nickle One
He had gunned it for Nickle one and now it was time to enter the fray. Engines were still on full as he got near the giant hunk of rock missiles came flying their directions. So the Sith wanted to play that way, Well two could play that game.
" prepare to load 3 waves of missiles, I want everything loaded and ready to load immediatly" He smirked as he got ready signals.. It was time.
The first wave was ready " Let Loose the Dogs of War! " He gave specific orders, He shot first the Assault Concussion Missiles, then timed it so the Proton Torpedos fired next and then the 35 Concussion Missiles So that they all hit Seth at the same time. The firing was staggered so the wave hit at the same time, John wished their point defense lasers luck picking out any in particular. They were off, and slowly catching up to each other, John had long wanted to try that tactic.
Wave 1
40 Assault Concussion Missiles
75 Proton Torpedo missiles
and 35 Concussion Missiles
John smiled as the staggered fire let him reload the things in nice timing as well. It was glorious and as last missiles left their bays, the next wave of the slowest missiles fired again. He loved the sight of them all firing.

Roa had moved around the end of the shuttle attempting to flank the republic operative. His shot missed, by not by much. The operative fired back, but Roa retreated behind the corner of the shuttle. He used the military tactic of "pieing" the corner, only exposing himself enough so that he could see the bare edge of the man around the corner. He took a step to his right, fired another shot at the operative, then sidestepped back behind cover.

OPEN SPACE NEAR THE GENERATOR ASTEROID'S OUTER DEFENSES

The ion cannon slammed into one of the anemoi-corvettes, disabling it immediately. Shorn watched it, the alarm in his heart not evident on his face. As the first wave of missiles from Walsh's forces was launched, Shorn began issuing orders.

"All ships, return missile fire. Fire en masse. Full power to the tractor beams and forward shields. Move the nearby asteroids to form a protective shield. "

A salvo of forty-four proton torpedoes headed into space. Asteroids began to move, propelled by unseen hands to form a defensive screen as soon as the Imperial torpedoes were on their way.

"Widen the tractor beams." Shorn watched the holomap carefully as the approaching missiles neared their own torpedoes. Missile began to criss-cross in space, going opposite directions. "Active the self-destruct on the torpedoes."

Imperial torpedoes exploded as they past the first wave of Walsh's missiles. Space became bright with an eye-searing light that flashed and expanded violently, before contracting in on itself as the chain reaction of explosions ate up the first wave of missiles, both Imperial munitions and Republic ordnance.

Yet they still had another wave to deal with. The second wave came a little behind the first and smashed into the asteroid defensive screen, blowing it to pieces and peppering the forward shields of the Rampants, which were placed in front of the wedge shaped formation. However, the triple-redundant shields held. For the moment, at least.

The third wave came on.

"Activate tractor beams!" Shorn ordered.

Everything slowed down. The third wave of missiles continued to move forward, but at a significantly slower rate. Tractor beams have several settings. The first and most well known is the "tight" setting which enables the beams to grab ahold of fast moving starfighters and freighters and drag them around. The second setting, and the one Shorn used, was "wide". The tractor beams were increased to their maximum width, which significantly lowered their power, but enabled them to act more like a large net. Not stopping, but slowing.

The missiles continued to crawl through space toward the ships. The tractor beam maneuver was enough to give the point-defense weapons time to lock onto the missiles and start firing, but it wasn't enough. Because Walsh had launched a truly ridiculous amount of missiles at him.

Explosions rocked the Adjudicator.

Shorn reached out and grabbed the edge of the holomap table to steady himself.

"Shields at seventy percent!" shouted one of the technicians down in the pits. "Holding steady now."

The Praetor's grip on the table tightened. Knuckles drained white.

"Open fire with all torpedoes on the enemy flagship."

Forty-four torpedoes cut through space.

"Again."

Forty-four more.

"Again."

Another salvo.

The staggered waves went straight for Walsh's flagship. Right for the bridge, in fact. Two could play at this game.

The ion cannon still roared, however accuracy was dubious. It had already hit one anemoi and completely disabled it, but just as in the battle of Hoth it proved to not be all that accurate. Especially since this was at more three times the range of that particular battle.

Hangar, Generator

So the man had training. Monty relished the opportunity for a challenge, one of the few dark vices he still occasionally indulged in. Monty fired back at Roa following IMT standards. Observe, shoot, observe, shoot, down reload. The moved slightly to allow for more cover before arming a thermal and tossing it on the other side of where the man was firing from and then immediately returned fire.

The tactic would almost certainly cause the man to be too distracted from Monty's return fire to notice the grenade, and if he did and dove to complete safety it would be directly within Monty's sights.

Space between the Vault and Generator asteroids

As the Kalakar was struck by enemy fire, Kirk ordered his crew, "Return fire, but use the asteroids for cover!"

The Dalek-class starship moved between some of the larger chunks of rocks. The fire from the Avenger-class Fast Attack Ship tore apart the asteroids - yet spared the Kalakar from some damage. The Imperial ship rocked as the Echani fleet kept up its attack with some lasers bolts still reaching Kirk's ship.

"Shields stressed! Could fail at any minute!" screamed one of the officers on the bridge.

"Make sure all engineers are working to keep them up," barked Kirk, knowing the Kalakar was not fit for direct combat and hoping the rest of his allies on the sensors made their way to @[member="Kamon Vondiranach"]'s forces.

However, no one arrived to finish off the pinned Echani force. When reports of their fighters' destruction came in, that was one good thing to Kirk's ears. Yet, he could see the Echani attack ships began to make their way toward Nickle One and he could not afford to pursue them by emerging from the protection of the asteroids.

Sending a message to his Imperial allies (@[member="Seth Shorn"], @[member="Velok"], @[member="Kaine Zambrano"] and @[member="Jinn Sibot"]), Kirk informed them that, "Hostile forces from Point Leth moving through Point Nern."

Point Leth would have been the Imperial designation for where Kirk's ship and small, small escorts would have been. Point Nern was simly the direction of the Echani forces would have taken to make it to @[member="Jonathan Walsh"]'s fleet.

The Grand Moff hoped for someone to respond and either finish off the attack ships or use the opportunity to press another objective.

Nickel One - Ion Cannon Control Center

@[member="Jesta"]

As the Verpine had informed him, the Railcars were indeed out, but luckily speeders flied, and did not need a connection to land. Miracles of technology. Luckily, it also seemed that none of the Sith Forces had converged on the location, and the control center was inhabited by only by a cat-like creature he knew as Jesta from his reports. He docked the speeder at the control center and left the speeder, armed with his verpine repeater, a shattergun pistol at his side and his battered armor still on. He figured he was probably bleeding somewhere but he didn't care, he had a job to do.

"I hope you're giving them hell soldier." Ardak said to the Jesta, as he examined the perimeter.

MEANWHILE

The Verpine platoon holding the munitions facility was "relieved" by Deathwatch Mandos. If relieving meant slaughtering.

They, however, had received new orders from their commander. Apparently the planetary ion cannon was doing a lot of harm out there to the Sith Fleet. It needed to go away. However, with the railcars basically inactive there didn't seem to be a feasible way to get there. So they didn't.

Filling sacks full of heavy ordnance from the munitions facility, the verpine platoon exited the facility in a hurry, scampering away from DeathWatch and skirting around the edge of the engagement between Sith and Jedi, moving toward one of several power generators in Nickel One.

Klik didn't like it. Didn't like it at all. This was their home, and they fought with the Sith? Look how many lives it had cost. Yet, there needed to be an end to the violence. This was the only way Klik knew how. He brought his verpine platoon to link up with two more squads of Loyalists. Their mission was simple. Get to the power generator which fed the entire section of the asteroid as well as the above ground ion cannon. With that power generator offline, not only would the Ion Cannon go silent, but a good third of the city would be lost in darkness as well.

For the most part, the streets were silent. Most of the civilians were wise enough to stay indoors. Klik was thankful for that. It appeared the vast majority of Republic resistance verpine had died attacking the munitions facility. Around a hundred or so, it seemed. Not many Verpine chose to fight in this battle. Kilk wished he hadn't, but it was too late now.

Verpine communicated through radio waves. Not telepathy, though many mistook one for the other. As such, there was no need for any physical communication. Their thoughts simply passed back and forth and they moved on.

The platoon-and-a-half arrived at the power generator, which was housed in a secure facility held by a handful of Republic loyalists. Klik and the others gunned them down. With regret, yes, but they had a job to do. They put detonite tape on the doors and backed away.

Detonite burst into a brilliant explosion, blowing through the durasteel in a thin line. The separated slab of metal fell inward. A hole big enough for them to get through. And they did. Guns blazing. More republic loyalists died on the inside, their matter splattering yellow against the facility walls.

Jinn Sibot

Child of the Darkness
[Battle near Generator - Space]

The Sith followed the interceptors closely, firing as each one slowly came into his targeting computer. Explosions lit up the dark reaches of space as the ships burst into series of plasma discharges. The X-Wing handled well, but Jinn was no expert fighter pilot and soon he found himself searching for the interceptors as they broke off in separate directions. Jinn's eyes searched the darkness for his enemies when he suddenly got locked onto by a missile. The Sith looked back and saw two missiles streaking towards him, moving in quick for the kill. Jinn pulled to the left and down on the stick of his fighter, sending the X-wing into a barrel role through space. The missiles followed close behind as he swept under the Republic capital ship, the blue streaks of death close behind.
T
he sith thought that his ship would be impacted by the missiles, however as he kept spinning the missiles did as well. Just as they came into range to hit the back of the fighter, the missiles got close in to each other and collided, sending Jinn's ship flying forward in a burst of plasma from the explosion.

GENERATOR ASTEROID HANGAR

A thermal detonator has a blast radius of about 20 to 10 feet depending on the class of detonator. It is not a grenade. Roa glanced down at the detonator. Twenty feet. He ran. Feet pumped violently. He had to get out of the five foot radius, which would incinerate everything in it. Roa dove. Suddenly, he was flying and a searing pain burned through his back.

The shockwave of the blast picked him up and threw him like a ragdoll. He tried to control his fall as he descended rapidly toward the ground, but everything was upside down and sideways. He hit the ground with a bone jarring thud and starting tumbling, then skidding until he finally slid to a stop.

Everything hurt.

He lay on his stomach, his back was numb. He tried to crane his head around but felt a searing pain. The helmet had spared him a concussion, or so he thought. He tried to stand, collapsed, then tried again. Knees. He was able to get to his knees. Anything else would take an inhuman effort. Good thing considering he wasn't human. Roa needed about two Jorns before he could stand. He craned his helmet and stared back.

A massive crater took up the area where the shuttle which Monty had been hiding behind had been. Roa thought the man was a trained operative, but he had chucked a fething thermal detonator at close quarters. Rookie move wasn't even close. More like suicidal. Yet somehow, Roa suspected Monty survived the blast as well.

Roa glanced toward the access hallway and began dragging himself toward it. Overhead, blaster bolts criss crossed as Imperials and Republic troopers fought for control of the hangar.

"Enemy taking serious damage. They're hiding in the asteroids."

"Are the tractor beams still functional?"

"Yes, sir."

"Tell the crews to use them to push asteroids at the enemy ship. If they want to hide, let their hiding place be as dangerous as our guns."

The tractor beam crews began using them to push smaller asteroids at the enemy vessel. The guns continued to fire as the ships pushed at full speed, nearly having reached the safety provided by the fleet of Admiral Walsh. He wanted to do as much damage to the lone enemy vessel as he could in retaliation for the loss of three full crews. When their ships were invaded, they would find that the living crew would fight until they died, and all would be sure they were dead. That was how Echani were trained. Undoubtedly the reactors were now set to blow as well.

"Connect me with Admiral Walsh."

"Done."

"Jonathan it's Kamon. Next time we need to be more strategic. I lost three good ships and all my fighters going in there alone. Why did you pull away from G99? Your rear is exposed as is our base of operations. I'm going to head back there and set my ships up. Do you know the details of our ground forces? Thank you for the fighters by the way. Should be able to knock down this enemy ship with their support."

He motioned towards the captain.

"Slow the ships. Continue firing on the enemy vessel."

She stepped outside of the facility and scanned the area. She spotted a battle between two pairs of lightsaber wielders, along with a @[member="Darren Brunswick"] brandishing two blaster rifles. She nodded to two of her soldiers and pointed to the man. "Let's capture him. Set for stun."
