Here Comes The Freedom Train (The Republic Invasion Of Korriban)

ACADEMY STAIRS EN ROUTE TO VAULTS
@[member="Eruna Delmarra"]

Balaya stayed with her apprentice and was more then prepared to fight as the sounds came but no jedi had gotten down to them while she checked the tac pad on her wrist as she followed the maps down into the bowels. They were going to come out in the valley of the dark lords but the first real stop was the databanks, one of the other sith had moved some offsite but couldn't be to careful and if the information was going to be destroyed anyways by the Republic might as well help themselves to rebuild as needed. Quickly the large armored zeltron was in there and let go of Eruna's hand while she bounded into place setting the tac pad up to hook into the system and begin the download. "Eruna cover the door and tell me if anyone is coming."

Eruna, seeing what her master needed to do, nodded and went for the door. She only peeked out now and then to make sure no one came, at least none that wasn't a Sith. She could tell otherwise thanks to the force sense she had. Eruna just hoped no one would come before Balaya was finished. Meanwhile R7, still making his way to the valley, was practically ignored as he passed trough a battlefield. Either because the soldiers were too busy fighting or didn't care about the little astromech rolling on by, it was a good sign for R7 at least as he made his way to the valley where the fighter he was sent to secure waited.

The silence that served as a response from his group forced him to switch gears instantly. The men were gone. A war was happening and calculations had to be made. A dropship hovering some thirty yards sending everything it had back at the Sith anticraft defenses, while dropping off soldiers, began to take off back into the sky. A'donari's body responded while his plan was still forming in his minds eye. Lightly leaping onto the wrecked ship serving as cover he felt the force around him just before taking a stride and jumping as hard as he could into the sky filled with Sith and Jedi ammunition. Soaring through the sky the wind whipped at his body while his legs still moved in a running manor as he got closer and closer to the Dropship. The ship moved away as he began to descend. Fingertips reached out grabbing at the cargo bay.... barely catching. Gathering himself was a luxury he couldn't afford after pulling himself into the craft with help from a Republic Soldier. He shouted out over the extreme noise of war to the pilot. "I need a lift to the Academy. We have to start with the anti artiliary First!" his voice in a scream while still holding a calm tone. The captain spun the ship around maneuvering with grace and speed. A'donari allowed himself to drop to a seated position in the center of the cargo bay which had openings for soldiers to enter and exit easily. His mind detached from his physical body releasing into the force. He felt his senses being washed over by the strength of Light and Dark colliding all around him. A projectile was headed there way. A'donari helped it to find a different path.

The gunship tore through the sky while the two remaining soldiers manned the ion turrets. The academy stuck out of the planet side. A massive temple of stone. The Dark Side festered and boiled within. It was doing all it could to disrupt his thoughts. Slamming him again and again with enough force to rip him back into his body. Remaining calm was his ally. Visualizing himself within the force kept him strong. He was a Jedi Knight and would not succumb to the fear and hatred. Fake strength masked as tools that the Dark Side preyed off of. "We can get you this close Sir." the Pilot shouted out while keeping his eyes forward.

A'donari allowed re-connection. Eyes opened showing solid white that had once been black. Walking to the door frame he didn't slow and stepped once more causing an instant free fell towards the ground that was still hundreds of feet below him. Stomach lurched into his throat though he felt reassurance guide his emotions. Another dropship passed underneath his feet catching his free fall for a moment. Just as his feet connected A'donari kicked off sending him sideways while free falling again towards the red surface. Rapidly the ground was growing closer as a legion of enemy forces were being met by Republic forces pushing there way towards the Academy. The wind whipped at his body from all around. His tentacles shook and moved with no rhyme or reason. Fifty feet from the surface a Sith fighter passed underneath him at a rapid pace. It caused a gust of wind to hit him spinning his body. Without fighting it he allowed the new momentum to slow his old sending him up for a split second. The fall from fifty feet now not as harsh a fall with less momentum carrying him down. He watched as the ground approached. Body limp. The force hit the ground before he did cushioning his landing. His left foot, right knee, and left fist connecting all at the same moment. A bruise was beginning to form on his knee cap. The acknowledgement of pain was all he was willing to give at the moment.

Soldiers all around him were running forward meeting the ranks of Empire soldiers. With the soft thought of a call A'donari's blade slammed into his palm from his belt, igniting instantly in one clean motion. Rapidly the blade called attention that he had expected. Blaster bolts were fired at random in his direction. A rhythmic pace like that of a dance marked each footstep; controlled and precise. His Blade danced around his body catching blaster fire as it came. The act of calling attention to himself was one that A'donari hated in a moment like this. On a field of battle you could never be sure who was watching and why. Especially on the front lines! This was asking for death many would think. This wasn't about him. The troops around him were finding openings while Empire soldiers thought to take a chance and exploit the opening they imagined they were looking at when seeing the Jedi. Today was their day. They would take down a Jedi and claim a rightful achievement place among commanding officers!

It was a nice thought.

Zoe Kelborn, like a certain Wistie, was glued to the metaphorical side, or general radius rather, of a certain Dark Hutt Lord through way of a mysterious slave device/plot device. Unlike the wistie however she was not in a typical brass slave's outfit, but rather a golden one as Rasho had ended up promising her golden brassiere as reward for his amusement on Dac. Not that it made any difference here, as the equipment gave little in the way of protection, or doing anything really but chafing from the constant roaring sands of the the Valley of the Dark Lords. Karking sandpit.

The armor however, was not the only change from Dac. Due to her master's connections to the Black Suns he had managed to finally get her a blaster, well, a sonic shotgun really. When she asked if she could bring more ammo, or grenades to the battle the Hutt laughed and told her she could bring "whatever she could fit in her pockets". Except the uniform had no pockets. Dang Snarky the Hutt. In any case, she was happy to have more than a couple Jedi daggers she had picked up mid-battle, so it she was happy. Except for the whole "I'm a slave brought to fight Jedi Masters" thingamajiggy.

Looking around Zoe noticed that the Hutt's comments to fight the pretty boy didn't exactly make it clear who he was fighting, as she had missed his glance and/or point while she was sizing up the targets. So, not being one that wanted to be out of the loop, she asked.

"Hey, your huttliness, which one is that exactly? I don't want to steal your kill here."

As his feet hit the ground, Vulpesen went into a tuck and roll, using the force to keep the impact from injuring him. "And off we go." As he rose to a standing position Vulpesen started to sprint through the barren landscape. Reaching into his comlink, Vulpesen tapped into the device. "Torrevaso, here. Anyone need an extra saber?" He was sprinting to the general battle ground, but other than that, he had absolutely no idea what he was doing. He had no current objective, just arrive and win. Now, he was just trying to find his strategy for said win.

Mikhail scowled behind his helmet. These days it seemed like everyone could just wave a hand and disperse a Master-level Force Choke. Was he getting old? Pale blue eyes were like twin ice shards as they glared at Darc, who was rising. Apparently no more winded than if he had taken a light jog. If that. Mikhail's mouth twitched.

The so-called Jedi then counter-attacked with... Force Absorption. Except it was not Force Absorption. It was very clearly and definitely a use of Force Drain, a staple power of Sith Lords throughout time. Most recently, Velok. Force Absorption, better known as Tutaminis, was the power which Shorn used to counter Darc. It was one of his three main abilities and he had maintained a decent level of competency with it. Enough so that when the Force Drain hit him the effects were vastly minimized. Even so, he felt a chill as some of his power was sucked away by the pointy-eared one. Shorn's use of tutaminis immediately counteracted the effects, however, as he absorbed the incoming Force energy into himself.

Power coursed through his limbs.

Shorn smirked. "Oopsy, was that Force Drain? And by a Jedi Master no less." He shook his head, "What is the Order coming to?" Mikhail sneered. He had fought against Sith for years now. This was nothing new.

His strength in the Force bolstered by the absorption of Darc's attack, Shorn ceased with the niceties. A wave of telekinesis erupted from his extended palm, powerful enough to snap a few bones and bust up the internal organs. Of course, Darc had that little Force bubble. Shorn would be taking care of that now.

The head to fist sized rocks strewn across the ground suddenly lifted into the air. Not hundreds. Nobody could do that. But a dozen at a time propelled to terrifying, armor-denting speeds? Yes, Mikhail could do that. Rocks whizzed through the air, directed at Darc. They probably wouldn't get through the shield. But all shields had their breaking point. He flung cluster after cluster at the Jedi, before finishing up with a Force push that would probably put a dent on a blast door.

Anyone who cares.

Count Aretine, Lord Darth Immortus, had not expected the Republic to come calling on the Sith Empire's doorstep at this particular time, although he was not altogether unsurprised. No doubt the Republic and the Jedi were invading the heartland of the Empire under the illusory guise of "freedom" and "democracy", those one-size-fits-all buzzwords that would most likely circulate throughout Republic news channels when the day was done. Whatever justification they used for their imperious claims, it didn't change the fact that at the end of the day, the sworn enemies of the Sith were just that; imperious. It was Palpatine, Aretine remembered, who once said that the Jedi and the Sith were not altogether unalike. That statement was as true today as it had ever been.

Aretine had landed on the planet to defend his Order from the rabid Republic. His ship was docked not too far behind Sith lines, and he had made his way to the front lines of battle. His first order of business would be to get to the Temple and secure as many holocrons as he could, to ensure their survival. He would make sure that none of that precious information and lore fell into the hands of the Jedi. His red lightsaber came to life as he approached enemy Republic soldiers. He was a master swordsman, though trained specifically for duels of the saber, rather than facing hordes of blaster-wielding enemies. He would have to be careful as to how he would deal with the onslaught.

Ducking behind a pillar, his blade extended in a flawless display of grace to catch an advancing Republic soldier across the neck. He surfaced into the hallway then, deflecting a blaster bold aimed at his torso, and brought his blade around to hew the arms off another Republic commando. Aretine decided to keep the battle in close quarters, where his advantages would lay. Separated by the Sith Master by only a few feet and caught by surprise, a group of Republic troops advancing on the Temple was easy pickings for the Count. A thrust, a roll to the side, and another swipe, and two more men had fallen dead by Aretine's hands.

It seemed her master had the pretty ones attended to. That left only one: Tefka - the wheezing and smallest among the giants she had ever seen. Feet lifted off the hutt's shoulder as her wings beat furiously. Bikini-clad body began to shimmer a burning glow that would singe anything it came in contact with.

Poor Vulpesen probably still had a mini burn mark on his ear and nose. Fortunately, she had long since washed out the jedi-boogers from her hair. As the tiniest flash of light, she zipped through the skies on a trajectory path for one of the green one's hairy and pointed-ears.

Hopefully the earwax would be minimal. Uggh, the things she didn't get paid to do.

It came to a point where Gherron saw massive amounts of Jedi beginning to attack the Sith planet, and so rushed to do the same. Taking one last look at his master, he jumped, wind rushing through his hair for a good five seconds. When he saw he was finally close to the ground, he tucked himself into a ball, slowing himself down as much as he could with the force. Seconds later, he hit the ground rolling, popped back up, and activated his lightsaber. Looking around for somewhere, anywhere to start, he began running in one direction.

'Torrevaso here. Anyone need an extra saber?'

Suddenly, his comlink blasted off with the voice of another Jedi. Unclipping it from his belt, he pressed a button and spoke into it. "Torrevaso. this is Padawan Vael. I've just now touched down on the surface. Would you like to group up?" Looking around once more, he waited for a reply.

Landed way off course somewhere...

The Sith continued his wave of Force attacks once more. He was ambitious and courageous, Darc gave him that. He was then obliged to commence the force meld with @[member="Tefka"] and @[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"] to join their minds into one with the Force. Their combined strength would be their next good defence. Seeing as he never moved from his spot, Darc still had the other two Jedi masters on each of his sides which put them in direct danger of @[member="Mikhail Shorn"] 's attacks. The others would be have to defend themselves as well if they were to survive the Sith's extreme attempts to destroy all three of them.

VALLEY OF THE DARK LORDS

Leina had seen the fighting going on and she hadn't run away a tactful retreat to get some help as she kept going into the valley and searching. There was bound to be some of the creatures and she continued to search while skipping around and singing to attract them. All she needed was to talk with the hssisses and they would understand the plight of the republic. All animals had a heart after all nd none of them wanted to see their home destroyed.

Equa looked at the fellow Jedi and then at the Sith side repeatedly. He tried to come up with a plan, but it was impossible. His peace was disturbed, so he just decided to ask a question from a person who was clearly in trouble. "Can I help you with something?" he asked telepathically from @[member="Darc Xavior Talus"]. He was not extremely powerful and he didn't want to use the Chaotic powers like Aura of Uneasiness or something, but he still thought, that he can do something.

ACADEMY DATABANKS
@[member="Eruna Delmarra"]

Balaya continued the download with her tac pad while she looked around, the holocrons that had remained were gone as per Kaine's orders or just taken with Kyros when she left the sith. Few things really remained behind that were valuable aside from the data files and a few sabers. Some pottery sure but not important in the long run as an indicator bar show twenty five percent complete and a smile came. Eruna was doing as needed while the talons of her gauntlet extended and made little cuts into the console. They were nearly there."

Tefka scratched his head, still wheezing from the crash, stumbling well away from Darc. Where were they? He checked his comms. Not working. Typical. Others joined him. Then, the next few moments passed in a blur, seemingly out of a fairy tale. A Sith Master stepped down from the nearby temple, boasting claims and making threats. He attacked the group. His equilibrium still shaky, the Jedi Master tripped and fell, rocks passing over his head. A bikini-clad fiery bird woman flew in his direction, doing something he didn't quite understand. Then, an uninvited visitor came through the Force into Tefka's mind.

"NOT THE TIME," Tefka shouted, brushing off his robes and getting to his feet.

His shortened green lightsaber ignited and the Jedi Master looked their adversaries in the face, grimacing. "ENEMIES OF THE REPUBLIC," he bellowed. "YOU ARE CHARGED WITH -"

Tefka threw up violently all over the rocky soil again. Man did he hate flying.

EN ROUTE TO THE SITH TEMPLE

Vulpesen's com link buzzed up life and he tapped back in. "Sounds good to me, I'll be headed to the academy, feel free to join me at the front steps." Finally making a decision, Vulpesen dashed towards the Academy entrance, taking his saber from his belt. The force enhanced his movement, making him much faster than the normal man. This would be one hell of a fight and he wanted it to be over as soon as possible. He wanted it over before too many lives were lost. He could sense the end of the sith and the coming of a new era. He was happy to be a part of it, and he was prepared to do whatever it took to see these goals through.

In his mind Ace was giving him the lay of the land, using an aerial view and a life reading's radar to let him know about the people around him. Generally, Vulpesen was hard as hell to sneak up on and with Ace's new objectives, that would grow even harder. He loved having a watchdog and he especially enjoyed it when that same creature was out of harms way. This time his passions had been removed. His weakness was safe in the sky and now it was him against the sith with no distractions. Oh, the havoc he could wreak upon them. And afterwards, he would go through and collect their teachings, destroying their dangers and hiding their secrets. @[member="Gherron Vael"]

The Crash Site In Front Of The Massassi Temple - Being Accosted

The first shockwave blasted him on his back just as @[member="Tefka"] fell over. The rocks came raining down on them as Tefka was about to deliver a killing blow with words through epic proportions.... then vomited. With rocks closing in now, the paragon quickly rolled and grabbed the little green gerbil and force sped with him. The paladin tossed him over into a piggy back ride, and as the final telekinetic attack came vaulting over Darc held Tefka with one hand and used his free one to face a palm towards the incoming wave. He summoned a force barrier to create a wall to at least lessen the blow of the impact, which sent him rolling again. The paragon quickly got to his feet and again tossed his green pikachu on his shoulder once more as they epically made a tactical retreat towards some random direction. It didn't matter where as long as there weren't any mean Sith or bikini pixies flying about.

The time had arrived, and the doors opened into the hangar bay. Iella immediately followed Syn out and looked around the area. Syn issued commands to the troops to lock the ship down and place the commands in the hands of the Republic.

As Knight Rasu joined them, she too waited for the next part of the plan.

Valley of the Sith - being man-handled

Lots of talk and no action meant one thing to Evan, the target was wide-open. Small, burning fingers went to latch onto Tefka just as the being puked and was suddenly picked up onto the shoulder of a very tall, blond giant. Probably not a good idea moving someone so suddenly who had just hurled…

Vice-like grip dug into Tefka’s ear tightly, her touch still burning like a hot-Nabooian pan just out of the oven. Small-face buried itself into the flesh of the being’s ear, trying to blot out the lingering smell of barf so she didn’t end up barfing inside his earlobe. Plus, she didn’t want to go flying off into rocks or invisible barriers as the passenger of a passenger.

Receiving confirmation, Gherron nodded, put away his comlink, and dashed toward the temple grounds. Though force speed wasn't his best ability, he still did very well with what he had learned. Sprinting over to meet the Jedi in question, he made sure to keep his weapon lit up at all times, lest he get overtaken by blaster fire or enemy saber. Minutes later, he arrived and began to search for the Jedi knight. Spotting him, he jogged over and took point. "So, see any good targets lately?", he cracked. In fact, it seemed they had landed right into a patch of Sith commando forces, which had begun firing immediately. Bringing up his saber, he began to fall back a little, taking his steps cautiously. "Yeah. Attack the temple directly. Great plan, genius."
