Here Comes The Freedom Train (The Republic Invasion Of Korriban)

Running Away From The Sith a la Piggybacking Darc
@Tefka @Darc Xavior Talus @Joshua DragonsFlame @Simone @Rasho the Hutt @Leina Snowfire @Equa Dominator @Mikhail Shorn

Well, that was embarassing. Tefka was quickly scooped up and they began running away from the battle royale as the little green monster turned to angrily shake his tiny fist at the Sith.

"We'll come back, and in greater number!"

They had to find their comrades. Lost, they were, as the massive siege of Korriban was beginning. Missing the fun while skirmishing with some Temple Sith was not the Jedi Master's glorious plan, but...so their cards were dealt. Thunderous explosions boomed in the distance. They were far from anything of import, navigating this wasteland would be difficult.

"What the kar-"

A burning sensation on his ear.

Tefka's head whipped around to see a gnat, @[member="Evangeline Sage"], nipping at his ear. Before she could get any further, Tefka lost his whimsical demeanor and whispered a word only the strange Sith woman could hear.

"No."

A single concussive, kinetic blast of terrible power emanated violently on command from the Jedi Master, protecting the two as they continued to run and attempting to knock any in such a wide of area of effect around them far, far away.

Tefka's Crash Site - Unfinished Temple to the Thronebreaker

Mikhail let out a soft snort as Tefka threw up across the ground and Darc proceeded to dodge all of his attacks.

"Oh no you don't," Shorn muttered. Pale blue eyes watched the pair of Jedi Masters attempt to flee. A sudden shockwave rippled out from Tefka. Shorn raised his hand and countered it with his own shockwave. The two met in an massive explosion of the Force equidistant, but ended up canceling each other out. Gritting his teeth, he was sent flying backward through the air, but he reached out as he flew, his actions quick as thought. Darc was seized as if in an enormous hand. The Thronebreaker yanked back with all his might in an enormous Force pull. Pieces of rock were dragged back as well, caught in the power of the pull.

He smashed into the ground with a heavy thud. His phrik-duraplast armor absorbed the damage. He lay there in the sands and rocks of Korriban, but continued to yank on the Jedi Master with all the tenacity of a vornskr.

He would not be denied.

Vulpesen grinned and pointed at the doors. "That my friend, is my target. Clear the rooms and make this place secure." His own lightsaber was kept at his waist, unlit but ready. It was one of his quirks. Never light your blade unless its needed, and though he would need it soon, he didn't need it now. "Prepare youself." Stepping forward, Vulpesen moved towards the building, wearing his black Ossus armor robes. Withing the robes he hid twenty small daggers, a few assorted grenades, and his old pistol. He was ready go conflict. As for the troopers, that was one of the conflicts he was waiting for. His saber danced into his hand, activating within the second to deflect each oncomming shot until he could force hurl a grenade into a nice group of them, using the disorientation of the blast to leap in and start a whirling light of destruction. "How do you stop a pack of kath hounds? Punch the biggest one right in the nose." This sith was employing normal men to take down a jedi. Trained or not, Vulpesen had faced and survived troopers before training as a jedi. Facing them as a jedi only made it possible to beat them. @[member="Gherron Vael"]

Nodding in agreement, Gherron stepped back up and deflected some blaster bolts back to their sources. He wasn't sure if they would have blaster-resistant armor, but at least he was trying. While all of this transpired, he suddenly realized how much of an idiot he'd been the entire time. Why was he hiding when he had on his songsteel plate? Throwing off his Jedi robe, he revealed a black plate armor, the sun glaring on it's matte finish. Grinning, the boy advanced upon the troopers and prepared for a nice fight.

TRANSPORT ENROUTE TO SITH SHIP
@[member="Kiskla Grayson"]

"Councilor Grayson? We're almost there ma'am." Nico had a look on her face while she focused and held the twin gauntlets on her hands. A smirk showing on her face to enjoy it all. The power cells being replaced and made sure to be fresh for the fight not that she expected much trouble with the majority of sith on the ground. A quick check of the robes and gauntlets again told her the blades wouldn't fall off easily. After she and Serenity had gotten the data on Dac they had rushed to get off and back to the Republic ship, now they were going to go after another sith priority target.

LANDING BY SITH SHIP
@[member="Nico Minuro Ike"] | @[member="Ronin Wendigo"]

Calamity clawed at the air as the blonde's hair whipped viciously about her. The shuttle shuddered and groaned, rolling with the atmospheric punches as she and the Republic troops descended to the planet below. How long had they been fighting now? Kiskla had been with one of the political leaders of The Fringe when the pronouncement of attacking Korriban was made.
Apparently Council consent was no longer a majority fret.
Like a tornado, the ends of her hair twisted behind her as she kept a focus on the battlefield. But she didn't join it. Not yet. A young voice broke her focus, and the blonde turned to look at the youth's face, and then at the other Jedi on board the transport; all clustered together with hardened soldiers who were meant to fight.

"Yes." Kiskla spoke slowly, nodding back to her senses and stepping away from the opening of the shuttle to face the members on board. "Swiftness is our ally here; most Sith are preoccupied with making legends and names for themselves in this time of their downfall. Do your best to be elusive, all of you. And if you can't be elusive, then.." a glimmer of amusement crossed her attractive features, features that didn't look like they belonged to a warrior "Then be ferocious."

With a few more shudders from the shuttle, the pilot twisted in his seat, shouting back to those in the cabin with slight dismay "This is as far as I can go! We have to land here, or we may not land at all."

"Very well." Kiskla mumbled, solemnly as she exerted a barrier around the shuttle from her own presence; extending the shield that she constantly wove about herself "Take us down, pilot." And take him down they did, right toward the Sith's primary shipyards. Kiskla broke her hold just as the shuttle skipped along the sand, sliding with the push and pull of various users of the Force and blaster fire hopscotched across the vessel's body. The Empire was going to dow down swinging.

As soon as the shuttle touched ground, Kiskla's limber frame leapt from the opening, a barrier erected like a blue shield as the troops for this objective piled out after her.

Arvis watched as the rocks flew up to apparently swarm the Jedi parachuter. He was gone for the moment, and he figured him dead. He drew his lightsaber anyway and started to retreat back into the Temple. There was not enough dedicated fighters, they would have to leave and take all they could.

Walking down the hallway speedily with the deactivated lightsaber in hand he turned the corner to see a red face watching down the hallway. It was Eruna, the red lethan twi'lek, he and Avara were too late! But they had done all the work for them, they were no doubt already takin the information from the databanks for them. Once he and Avara killed them, they could fight their way out of the Temple and continue the Sith legacy elsewhere in the Galaxy.

@[member="Adamus Straife"] @[member="Balaya Zambrano"] @[member="Eruna Delmarra"]

The archives had been ransacked by two Sith of equal stature to Avara and his apprentice, Arvis. Fools, he thought. "The Empire crumbles around your feet and you retreat in cowardice to hoard our secrets?" Avara hissed, with every intention for his words to sting them. He removed his curved-hilt lightsaber from his belt, aptly crafted for the purpose of using the second classic form of lightsaber combat, and Avara's own personal variant of the fifth. He thumbed the ignition idly, and let the crimson, blood-coloured blade hiss from its silvery hilt. The qixoni crystal radiated its power, boosting Adamus' strength in the Force and giving him the clairvoyance to destroy those who stood before him. Why did it matter? The Jedi would only slaughter them anyway. Better off dead in the long run, and he would give them quick deaths, the closest thing to mercy he would offer. "Lay down your weapons, and I will show you mercy. You have my word." For all it was worth, he sounded genuine.

When the two came close enough towards the archives Eruna regrouped with her master before they enetered. "We're trying to save what we still have, idiots." she said, drawing her saber but not activating it yet. "Don't you get it? Korriban is lost but WE can still surive and rebuild. That's what this information is for." As she waited for her master Balaya to say what she needed to, wheather it be peaceful of not, Eruna turned towards @Arvis Syphex and gave him a vengful look. She'd grown a lot since they last fought and wouldn't be as easy to beat as last time. She remebered enough to know how to deal with him. A part of her hoped @[member="Balaya Zambrano"] wpuld call for a fight if it only meant having a piece @Adamus Straife's apprentice again.

Republic Shuttle - medical teams
Landing Area
Near the Valley of the Dark Lords

The shuttle trip down had been treacherous, and bumpy. The two remaining teams had never seen such terrible air turbulence. Rianna's skill as a pilot was being tested, she could steady the ship long enough for a two second reprieve to only be bouncing through the turbulence once again. If the teams were green she did not know, and she did not look back.

Korriban, how long had Rianna heard of Korriban, to now stand here waiting to wrench it from the grip of the sith. Rianna dispatched everyone that came with her into a war zone, or invasion force this time, she would be working her way through the wounded. She had a sensation that if she came across any Sith there would be no mercy shown her, or any of the medics. She had lost a whole team on Manaan, and another on Dac. Their loss had rippled through her, she had trained them herself. And now down two teams weighed heavy on her mind.

Rianna moved out making sure she was ready for whatever might come her way.

Mikhail's attention would suddenly be caught as a white hot fireball was launched straight into him. Josh DragonsFlame, who had gotten lost in the fierce fighting on Korriban, stared the Thronebreaker down, from a distance. His eyes were hot with determination and confidence as he drew his lightsaber, the blade shining brilliantly as it cast a blue light upon his surroundings.

He showed no fear, despite seeing what Mikhail had done on Coruscant. He didn't fear him then, he wouldn't fear him now. Josh felt no pain, no butterflies, no nerves.... Pure adrenaline coursed through the Jedi Master's body as he walked toward his adversary, buying @[member="Tefka"] time to get away.

"THRONEBREAKER!"

The words boomed as if spoken by gods among men, his face wasn't hard to read, it read a simple "I'm going to kill you, and bring your kingdom down around you". This wasn't the Josh DragonsFlame that the Jedi Order knew, loved/disliked, that joked and cracked wise and only wished to help others. This was the warrior that deep inside was there all along..... Awakened by the trials of war.

"It's obvious you want a fight..... And don't think I didn't see your little happy fun time with Diana" the Jedi Master said boldly, the traces of his wise-cracking still there, yet his tone gave word that this was no laughing matter....

"I still owe you a couple of broken ribs, a kick in the dragon balls, and a healthy slice of pure annihilation" he said, a smirk crossing his face as he stopped. This was Tef's opportunity.... But Josh would not run. The Jedi Master was prepared to fight for his life, and for the lives of others, no matter what it took. And if he had to go through Mikhail to keep them safe.... So be it.

"Face me, Thronebreaker, for I will not run, I will not hide, and I will not leave until one of us is broken"

Marek and Cale, side by side, it had always come down to this, some way or another. As the Jedi descended onto the world he'd once called home, his eyes shot to Cale, who gave him a nod and a smirk. The brothers were always quiet before a fight, actually Cale usually was asleep, Marek was usually quiet, same difference. This was largely just an opening post, with no real detail, cause the writer is a lazy bum.

Balaya was stilling looking at the tac-pad when the sounds and voices came to her and she grinned turning her head while Eruna spoke. These two had had the same idea but there was a small difference between them. Namely as she looked around at the rest of the room cleared of the important thing which Kaine had stored away with her and Krag. They were just fools and it clicked fifty percent downloaded. The saber on her hip was singing and her hand came out. "Eruna do not waste time, with them we have more important things to do." Then slowly the tac-pad was unclipped from her gauntlet and the zeltron looked down at the two with her eyes narrowed. Her voice came out low while the force gathered and "Woyunoks hadzuska koshûjontû."

The incantation getting lower in her voice as the sorcery pulsed the holocron her master had loaned her on Thule working its ancient magics down as the shapeless form appeared and she spoke in sithese. <Defend the console and kill anyone not me.> The incantation of Dwomutsiqsa was hers. Her hand touching Eruna more while she spoke and cast another spell to enhance her apprentice in the force to be able to fight like her. "I am afreaid your mercy is not needed, as compared to you I know where one needs to go to rebuild the sith and I don't think either of you were invited." Balaya smile came as she kicked the cloak and cape back from her armor and the snap hiss of the rain bow blade as the dark'chyld sang. Its strength and power adding to them. "Master, we kill yes?" "Only if they are foolish enough to try and attack, then just like on Dac and Ossus you'll get to kill."

He watched the both of them with a grin behind his mask. "We came to make sure our Empire's heritage was taken to someplace safe. Though, if you plan on simply abandoning the Order without killing some Jidai, then we will be forced to engage you." As far as his tone and voice went, he was as genuine as could be. And he was, but if they were meaning to leave the Empire behind while they took what knowledge that was left of it, then there would be problems.

He watched as the smoke demon rose up from the ground. She would dare speak the language? He thought to himself as he anchored down his anger. He thought of the Jedi attacking Korriban, of how they were no doubt going to try and destroy all sources of the darkside on the planet. "Fight with us. Let us defend our planet. Together." He watched Eruna, but he didn't ignite his lightsaber just yet.

"You know," said Rasho to himself as he slithered into the path of @[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"]'s fireball, "for being the largest person here, I feel decidedly overlooked."

That white-hot fireball from that pyrokinetic specialist met a broad chest armored with vonduun skerr plate. Rasho dissipated the heat with the Force, slithering through the sand toward the monologuing DragonsFlame. His lightstaff rose into a double-handed grip across his body.

He was gradually losing his taste for banter, for the sake of focus.

Lightning coalesced around the blades of his lightstaff, and leaped out in twin arcs, one for DragonsFlame's head and one for his feet. Should one wish a clearer mental image, one might assume that the lightning arc from the leftmost blade had gone for the head, and the rightmost for the feet. As of yet, however, he still held the lightstaff horizontally in front of him as he advanced towards DragonsFlame. Sand dunes sloughed away from his armored bulk; he plowed through all opposition and did not intend to stop until he ran over the pretty young Master.

Avara let his lightsaber shoot back inside the curved-hilt. He saw the smoke demon, but he remained unperturbed by its presence; he knew how to kill manifestations of the dark side easily enough. Was she a fool to think sorcery was not a part of his skillset? A mere party trick in the face of something far greater than she could anticipate. His anger subsided, but his hatred remained - he was focused, controlled and precise. He folded his arms, when the chaos faded, though the structure of the archive shook with enemy fire. A battle was being fought above them, and it appeared the Empire was inevitably losing. "No. It would be foolish for us to stay here. The Jedi are at our doorsteps and we stand in the center of our Empire's collection of knowledge, with little else to do but retreat to fight another day. You're foolish if you think you can rebuild the Empire alone with just an archive. I will help you in your endeavours, woman. I know of a safe place, a sanctuary for our kind. Let the weak perish here in the flames of a dying dynasty. We move on to better things; the dark side wills it."

@[member="Balaya Zambrano"] @[member="Arvis Syphex"] @[member="Eruna Delmarra"]

Eruna tensed and readied herself for a coming fight. With the extra boost from Balaya and the shadow demon at her side she felt ready as ever if it ment taking down these two in order to get away. When @Arvis Syphex had said they need to defend the planet she shook her head and said "You don't get it, do you, Syphex. The planet is gone. But it's just a planet. We can live or die here and now." Then she heard @Adamus Straife finally agree that there was no point in fighting now and they needed to run. She took a sigh with relief before he told of a place they could go. She looked to @[member="Balaya Zambrano"] to see what she would decide was best.

Korriban
Searching for possible Borders.

Talon streaked through the ship as his grey and white Darklight armor blended cosmetically with the navy grey of the ship's interior. He knew they were close and he could feel someone approaching. He skidded to a halt. Talon was not a typical power hungry ball of egomaniacal rage like some, but hate and indignation came easy today. He drew on the force and felt the burning flames of the darkside begin to set his every fiber on edge. He held his silver blade in both hands and assumed a textbook Niman stance. His daily Kata had helped him to become highly skilled in the form and though it had few streangths it held few weaknesses. He would not be able to win. He was no fool, but he could give his men time to escape at his order.
It was time again to face the Jedi.

COME AT ME BRO'S
Lan rushed through the dunes and valleys of Korriban like an Otter out of hell. He held tightly onto his blaster rifle and every few seconds he lifted the weapon and fired it several times. A few Sith trooeprs would drop, then the Selonian would continue his mad sprint for conquest and destruction.

This would be where they took the Sith, this would be where they ended the war once and for all! This was Korriban, this was the homeworld of the Sith and perhaps the most important planet in the entire galaxy for all the evil doers who inhabited it. If the Republic could take Korriban, the war would be over. The Fighting would be over, everything would go back to normal. No More Sith, no more genocide. Everything would be right.

The Selonian rushed through the enemy lines, bashing enemy Sith Troopers with his tail and claws.

He moved faster than one would expect from a regular being, as if he was being enhanced by some unseen force. He rushed as fast as he could, the Rest of Havoc squad trailing behind him.

After reaching the side of the bridge that was nearest the academy entrance, Vinyata turned and faced the bridge as she stepped onto the stairs of the academy entrance. The bridge was the only way accessible into the academy by ground, and spanned 750ft in between the academy entrance and the opposing cliff. She could see Republic forces starting to enter onto the bridge, under fire from the many defensive encampments her Serpent Legion had set up. Taking out the detonator, she softly clicked the button and the bridge blew up. KA-BOOM! The shockwave almost knocked her from her feet as rock and metal shrapnel spread out in all directions and hapless Republic vehicles exploded and fell into the gorge below. Facing back to the Academy, she contemplated her next move. @A'donari Cinn @[member="Ayra"]
