There are no rules against this and I have seen it done in the past. It's actually quite amusing when it happens.
Last time I saw this was when someone was attempting to dogfight a starfighter while piloting a corvette.
The starfighter pilot wrote that the attacks of the corvette pilot were missing him and damaging NPC allies.

Know what? The Corvette pilot rolled with it.

As the person who helped create Red Dawn, and from seeing the timeline and events unfold. This whole invasion is confusing, makes no sense at all, and is downright stupid. But dammit if it isn't awesome! Honestly guys just unplug your brains and simply write your dude punching another dude and have fun. You can throw in emotional moments and individual stories, but overall the idea is to just have fun and kick it. And by it I mean Mandabros! GO REPUBLIC WOOOO!!!

[member="Ali Hadrix"] executed an IC action that was meant to vent the Mandalorian hangars. She meant it to be a thing that would effect a group of mandalorian invaders in the hangars, a military hangar.

Then it turned out to be something else because folks started to write stuff.

It happened, but the effect was intepreted by others entirely. It seldom leads to good stuff. I can invent a few things myself that you would just laugh at but the GR side would claim is the "truth" - and so forth and so on.
To draw a parallele - If we were in a PvP match, yes I can write that I swing my saber at you. You decide wether I hit you or if you duck. But you cant write back that I miss you and by doing so hits an innocent child that happened to be standing nearby.

Thats not a productive way me thinks and we are seeing the consequences of that now.
I dont say ignore the Ic actions, but I ask to not over-interpret them into something that was totaly off what they were meant to be.

I'd have to disagree. If your duel was happening in a crowd I would have no issue with dodging a blow and writing it hit someone else, most battles aren't stand still affairs.

This "duel" is taking place in an atmosphere controlled asteroid. Many writers have written about evacuations, and as the Mandalorian are here (in their own minds) as saviors, they would very likely land in hangars where civilians are evacing through in order to assist such (though such was also not explicitly written from what I've seen.). There are only so many hangars...

That said, I'd strongly recommend to the faction owners that you take this discussion elsewhere and come back as a unified front. So far, this invasion makes sense as a comprehensive whole. That's almost never happened before. Let's not wreck it.
