Moonlight Lekku

He held a finger up to his own lips. The sound of their breath suddenly seemed ever so loud. Embarrassment and heat slowly bubbled up into a nervous laugh he could barely hold in.

Trextan bit his bottom lip, face creasing as he tried to keep it in. He gave a shake of his head, dark hair swaying from side to side.

The nurse next door continued to whistle and it almost became too much. The raw embarrassment, the warmth of her breath. The outright proximity to her flimsily clad form.

Choli found herself swallowing hard. His chest was warm, and he still had yet to let go of her hand. There was no need for Trextan to motion her to be quiet, Choli already felt herself start to clam up. Lids fell, and she tried her best to regulate her breathing. Everything just seemed to come into poignant focus, the faint sound of the air recycler, the whistling of the nurse, the hitch in Trextan's breathing. Even the spike in her heartbeat that seemed to send her blood pumping with a resounding kick.

Choli took a risk with a brief glance up at Trextan, her hooded multi colored eyes questioning his own. The resounding red color had darkened her skin with a rouge glow, and both were of the same thought with using the strands of dark hair to shadow the embarrassment from their faces.
An anxious rock of her feet bumped Choli against Trextan, and for a brief second her fingers dug into the fabric of his pajama shirt. The whistling continued, almost dragging on for who knows how many countless seconds; how long did it take for the nurse to do his business and leave???!!

As she tipped forwards he released her hand. Instead both took the sides of her waist. It was, at the least, a very abrupt way to halt the building giggle.

She was very, very close. His eyes darted up and down, mapping her features from eyes to chin and back.

A slow exhale and he very gently eased her back half a pace. He broke eye contact, and swallowed hard once more.

The whistling stopped. Then it started again. He turned back to Choli and rolled his eyes, trying once more to cover her embarrassment. His hands were still on her waist.

At the sound of the whistling starting anew, the combined ridiculousness of the situation and seeing Trextan roll his eyes prompted a nervous giggle. Perhaps a good thing because choli brought both hands up to cover her mouth, muffling the sound.

Maybe the sheer hilarity and absurdity of the situation was a good thing; in fact some of the tension seemed to dissipate. Her hands fell away from her mouth, lips mouthing silently," How long does he need to take a poodoo?"

Nevermind that the warmth of Trextan's fingers, both organic and cybernetic, were like ten little hot points flexing at her waist.

An over exaggerated shrug had those hands away from her waist at least. He looked towards the direction of the men's then back to Choli.

He waved frantically to try and question whether they should sneak off. After all the chance of someone coming to wait for the ladies was increasing. The nervous giggle was once more trying to bubble free.

Choli understood the silent inquiry. With a nod and a motion of her hand, she gestured for Trextan to check for anyone else that might be there. If clear, then it would be best to try and make it to the mess hall at least.
The whistling would be a clue to just how much time they had; maybe no more than a few seconds to a minute. Time to take advantage of that.

He pulled open the door and poked his head out. No sign of anyone. Looking over his shoulder he curly tilted his head back to indicate she should follow.

No point creeping; the outer door would hiss to open anyway. The whistling continued unabated and he walked briskly out into the corridor which was blessedly free of any more interruptions. Their goal was in sight.

He couldn't help himself: the chuckle broke free as they walked for the mess. He turned to her, face still a warm red, biting his lower lip and shaking his head in bemusement.

An equally warm awkward half smile mirrored the one given to her. A few more quick steps and they were beyond the refreshers and turbo lifts. Their goal right in sight. A whossh of a relieved air puffed out of Choli's cheeks, her eyes widening only to relax.

"Wow," she managed to say breathless, pushing one of the double doors open into the mess.

"That was close." It was an awkward but relieving moment to share, followed by spare moments where their gazes pulled away.

"Umm," right the mission. There are three other patrons about, the mess serviced 24 standard galactic hours. It was mainly manned by droids, which increased productively but also made it harder to deal if one had an issue. In this case, they could work with that. Or well, choli could. There was one organic on duty, a burly houk with a deep voice and, well arms as thick as tree trunks. This was going to be interesting

Trextan wondered if they could get their food. Unless she thought he tightly bound his credits into a roll she knew he didn't have any. He realised he didn't care.

The silly little mission mattered far more than the goal. He was grinning, he was happy, he wasn't bored.

He was still trying not to watch the way she moved in those pyjamas too carefully.

"Nearly defeated by a constipated nurse. The obstacles loom ever greater on our quest, but we reach the final hurdle," he commented on their situation.

A heavy snort then a laugh. This, this was fun she realized. A grin split her face in two.

"Come on," she encouraged him, motioning with her hand. " let's see what we can get."

Trextan may not realize it, but choli wasn't intending to buy their booty. Instead she was looking to acquire it.

She kept her walk casual despite the slight ache her right foot gave. A dull throb was forming. Biting her lip, she scoured the surroundings.

"We need to find a way to get past the droids," she said, whispering low enough for Trextan to hear.

"To get behind the counter to the back..." into the storage and refrigerators.

Trextan's eyes had naturally fallen on the gnarled mass of muscle that was the houk. Getting tossed out by his ankles hadn't been part of the risk.

The counter ran down one side of the room. It was a long trench to sneak down the back to reach the entrance to the kitchens.

Trextan assessed the situation and spotted option B. "Grab a tray," he murmured. He stepped up the nearest table and took tray covered in used plates.

On the nearby wall was a little conveyor that carried the used trays through and opening in the wall and back around. Clearly no one was manning it as a few dirty trays were going into the kitchen and coming back out again.

Trextan carried his tray towards the conveyer and shot the houk and droids a sideways glance. They weren't paying attention. Three quick steps and sith-taught acrobatics enables I'm to tumble through the small opening and come up on his feet on the other side. He looked back through the opening with a victorious grin.

"You are crazy!" Choli mouthed right after Trextan, but there was no hiding the wide splitting grin that brightened her features. A shake of her head, the swish of that raven hair, and a slide glance for any potential trouble. Houk and the droids had their attention elsewhere. Alrighty then....

She might not have been as enhanced in nubile mobility, but Choli had spent some time training under a Warden of the Sky. She could move quickly in close quarters. The hum of the belt made her bottom vibrate when she jumped on top of it. There were a few wet spots that ended up soaking up onto her pajama bottoms, giving her small damp spots. Nothing to worry about at least.

Her butt went scooching over, until she too went ducking under the small window into the steamy mess backroom area.

"Show off." She added, scrunching her face into a brief raspberry at the young Justicar trainee.

"Come on," Choli added, getting her bearings and looking around for any potential droid surprises....

Trextan hadn't really thought ahead of showing off. He merely mirrored the tongue poking and grinned. Already he'd decided how he was going to leave the kitchen area. Choli might still have caught the slight wince as he turned away. Some of his skin was still tight and raw from the blast. The ribs on his right side still ached and his hip had not appreciated the forward roll through the opening. Still it had been rather acrobatic and nearly silent and she was grinning more than ever.

Again he made more of a show than was necessary of ducking down and sneaking behind a clean and empty counter. Much of the kitchens had been tidied away for the night. There was a tall refrigerator that he pried open.

"Jackpot," he whispered. One of the shelves was labelled 'executive suites' and have clear plastic containers with full meal. It seemed that Brigadier Hyup got slightly better meals than the rest of them.

"Yeah well, I'll keep an eye out." She told him, encouraging him with a jut of her chin to go in. "See what you can get."

Even if it was a handful of snacks, it would do some good. Fruits, dried nuts, a nicer meal. There were options a plenty here along the pantry shelves and the refrigerator. Each of course, used to suit a variety of species vast diet.

They would have to be careful that they didn't select something that would make them sick, intoxicated, or poison them.

So far, no droids yet, but she could hear the whirr of their hover engines.

Another wave of her hand and she gave him a slight push forward. Turning around, she kept her back to him, alert and watching

Trextan made very little noise as he took a handful of items from the fridge. There was definitely some desert on the tray with everything else. With an armful of goods he padded back past Choli and found an empty tray to place them on. He sidestepped as the conveyer went around.

With a hop he got himself up onto the conveyer in a space not filled by trays. He turned so that he laid on his side and gave Choli a little wave as it took him back around into the canteen.

A roll of Choli's eyes and she took a step forward to follow him. It was just about that time when one of the scullery droids went zipping about and nearing their location. The whirr of the hover engines prompted the widening of the Rogue's eyes, jumpstarting her motion to try and make it through the small conveyer before she was caught.

"Go, go, go!" She hissed low, shooing Trextan amidst the protest of her foot to go on and leave the mess without her.

Bzzzzz. The hum grew louder and Choli gave a muffled curse as her elbow hit one edge of the frame, biting her tongue to halt the louder curse that would follow. She barely made it through by the time the scullery droid appeared holding a small tray of dirty dishes, rounding up the most recent pile and moving on to wash them.

He nearly crashed through a pile of mugs that had been going round and round the conveyer for a few cycles before he made it through. He dropped to the floor back in the mess and drew himself up.

The houk looked up and shot him an odd look. Trextan gave him a nod and a smile. The alien shrugged. Trextan used just the slightest influence to make him turn away before a rather sweary Choli emerged.

"Oh feth," he swore himself. He tried not to run, but padded quickly to the tray of spoils. If it had gone back around and into the kitchen the new arrival might have taken it and cleaned it away. He captured it just before it vanished back through the second hatch.

"Back to the ward with this?" He whispered. There was a quiet corner in the mess they might have been able to stay in too.

There was a distinct kind of annoying pain that only came from smacking ones funny bone against a hard surface. It was a tingling agony that had Choli wring and shake her right arm, as if the mere action would shake away the sensation.

"Just go!" She replied, half wincing and half grumbling mildly annoyed exasperation.

"Stupid conveyer." Comically cradling her elbow, the one casualty in the mess, the teenager went weaving around the tables and chairs for the doors.

"At least I only have one of those now!" Trextan laughed. His hips swinging from side to side as he weaved whilst trying to keep the tray level.

"Oi!" Called the houk, but it couldn't be bothered to pursue.

"Yes doctor I was going to call security right..."

"Really? But you clearly instructed...

"Actually it looks like they might be headed back anyway." The nurse put down the phone and looked to the other one on the station.

"What did he say?"

"He didn't seem to take it seriously. Said to keep an eye and just send an orderly to fetch them in a few minutes. But it looks like they're headed back."

"Aw, I think it's sweet."

"They're teenagers there is never anything sweet about teenagers."

"It's a Jedi and a navy officer. I'm sure they're quite sensible."

"It's mine now!" Trextan announced without warning. He raised the tray up and accelerated to a light jog ahead of choli.
