Moonlight Lekku

"Yeah well, remember who now has plenty to blackmail you with!" Choli cried out, rubbing her elbow with the palm of her hand. However, even despite the scowl, she couldn't help the slight twitch at the corner of her mouth then.

A glower followed the slight widening of Choli's eyes. Just as Trextan was practically frolicking ahead with his prize, he almost went crashing into that orderly who had been cleaning the floor earlier.

"Careful there!" He cried, but not that it mattered, because Trextan had another opportunity to show off.

He managed to maintain a look of shock through the pirouette. He stepped off his left landed on his right beside the orderly. Trextan did a full spin on the ball of his right foot, keeping the expression for Choli.

The next step took him past the orderly who called: "don't run!" After them. If he cared about the stacked tray of food he didn't show it.

"Sorry!" Trextan called back, slowing to a walk and waiting for Choli to catch up.

"For a stealth mission, you sure don't act stealthy." Choli managed to grumble out as she caught up to the young man. Oh he was practically crowing with smugness, a wide smile on his angular face and his hands quiet jovially holding onto his prize.

As a prize for her trouble and the tingling of her funny bone, the teenager took an apple from the top of his tray. A short, "Harrumph" blew air out of her mouth and tossed the dark strands of hair away from her face.

"Must be nice to be so nimble."

"Yeah well if we weren't back on...ack" Trextan slipped on a wet patch of floor and nearly went over. The contents of the tray were kept in place by quick reflexes alone.

He looked suitably embarrassed by that and twisted his lips around. "Aaanyway. What would they do if they caught us now? Send us back," he said with a shrug. "You have a wet bum by the way," he said. In hindsight that would have made it obvious he looked.

An amused snort followed by the crunch of Choli biting into her apple smugly said that karma had indeed found its home in the slight trip Trextan had taken.

"Yeah, yeah. That's what happens when your ass ends up on top of a damp conveyer belt of dirty dishes." She had already felt the wet spot upon her left cheek. A shrug as she chewed said she didn't really care. "It will dry."

Her ankle and leg were throbbing slightly, almost to the pulse of the dull ache on her elbow.

"Besides not all of us are like some prancing Lepi going in and out of small holes."

Choli might notice that there was a distinct limp to his gait and just the occasional wince. It hadn't been a wise move, but he decided he had made his choice.

"We going to dish out the spoils over nexu king or find something on the datapad? After I've cleared my history." Trextan turned for the lifts, another hint that he'd pushed himself too far

What? Afraid that I might catch the sordid history of Hand Solo?"

Oooo, yes, yes indeed. She went there. Totally went there. The bright sparkle of vivid green that was directed over at Trextan said that if he was going to act up, she was perfectly willing to give a shot or two of her own.

Mid smug grin the Rogue caught the slight limp, following him inside. "You okay?"

She brought down the shiny red apple, holding it to her side. The turbolift doors gave a small hiss shut, sealing them inside. Choli extended a finger, pressing the level for their ward. It didn't really matter if they were caught now; they had their fun, silly as it was.

"Yeah," he replied. "Everything is all just a bit sore still. He placed the tray on the ground and sorted through the plastic containers.

There was some dried fruit and mixed nuts, two packages puddings and some sandwiches. It all looked a bit nicer than what they'd been eating. He divvied it up, left the tray and held the tubs behind him to sneak it past the desk.

"To be honest after earlier I'm not sure there's anything in there that's shock you." They stepped out into the corridor and turned towards the ward. Rather than buzz the nurses station he was planning on using the force to push the door release button on the inside.

"I don't know..." she gave a roll of her shoulder, following Trextan as the lift opened towards their ward. The nurses station was too the right, and if they were keen on spotting them, both nurses appeared rather annoyed.

"Maybe you are into Orlotans." Tiny, blue elephant type aliens. "You can tell much about a guy depending on what they watch." Likes, dislikes, or maybe even curiosities. Well, that's what they'd told her. Granted, Janes was pretty much into anything really... anyyyything. Honestly, there didn't seem to be one member of her squadron besides her who wasn't into hooking up with whomever they could. Well, at least it seemed that way.

"Yeaah.... I don't think you can ever really shock me." She added, deciding that her experience with the Rogues had certainly opened her eyes a bit on possibilities, shaking her head in mild bewilderment.

Of course, shock was a world a difference between embarrassment. Just because she'd heard or seen a few things didn't mean Choli didn't feel abashed by the whole thing from time to time.

"Orlotans?" He laughed. "No just...Regular old humans most of the time." Not only was the conversation suddenly a bit too inappropriate but the timing of his sideways glance was something he regretted.

"Oh there you both are," came a call. Trextan shifted such that their spoils were hidden behind his back as he sidestepped past the nurses.

"We just went..."

"To the mess, i know. I've sent an alert so if you step off the ward without permission again I'll know." She gave him a stern glare. The second nurse chuckled.

Wait, was he looking at me? Choli for for a second couldn't help the faint return of color to her cheeks at the rather impromptu thought. One that was saved from further twisting by the abrupt sound of the Lead Nurse glowering at them.

"Sorry about that..." Choli managed to apologize, walking backwards for a moment while still facing the nurses. Her leg was throbbing a bit more, but the Rogue managed to ignore it for now. Apple in hand, she gave a slight dip of her head at the two nurses and bid her adieu.... but not before adding," Yeah, we tried to look for the hanger but got distracted by the mess, really, got lucky there!"

"We plan our grand escape tomorrow!" Trextan added, emboldened by Choli's retort.

The first nurse looked to the second. "And you said a Jedi and a pilot would be sensible?" She shook her head and returned to her charts, waving the pair away.

Trextan backed a few steps and then sidled into his room. He shut the door behind them and dumped the pile of little plastic tubs on his bed unceremoniously.

"Let's see what we got!"

It might have been Trextan's room, but Cho made herself at home by plopping in top of his bed, grabbing a pillow, and sitting be the pike of pilfered goods.

She took another bite of her apple, the crushing sound fading as she chewed. A small grimace came as she used the time to stretch out her leg a bit, rotating her ankle. In the pile she discovered a Nuna and cheese sandwich. "I'll take that,"

Salt and vinegar chips. A packet of dried nuts and fruits, yeah, she was making a nice little pile for herself.

"Oi!" He called out in good humour. He dove into the pile and started sorting out several items for himself. There were a few nice sandwiches in neat triangles he took.

"Whatever the executive suites are they get nicer food," he remarked before wolfing one down in a few bites.

He parked his backside on the edge of the bed and swung his legs up. This time he let the grimace through and hissed through his teeth.

"Got some headphones, we can watch something quietly. Getting a bit late."

This had been a strange evening for Trextan. Very different to the quiet contemplation he'd had recently. The sith had taken in him three years ago now. In some ways he'd missed a lot of acting his age. Given her rank, he imaging Cho had too.

"Well they are for the higher ups I suppose." She added, taking another bite oh her half eaten apple.

"Can't feed everyone the real meat." At the sound of the hiss, cho drew her eyes up. She caught the grimace he wore and gave a small mock scoff," yeah, that's what you get. Could have gone with a damp butt but nooo, " her hair gave a swish in emphasis as she continued her light hearted tease," had to be fancy."

Peeling back the wrapper of her sandwich, she added,"umm, like what?" Towards his question.

"What do you have?" It wasn't odd for her to do the same. At times back at the carrier, the rogues all got together to hang out and watch a film or two. Play games; learn how to gamble. Get in trouble. The usual.

Trextan picked up his datapad and went scrolling. There was one other piece of fresh fruit that he started to pick apart with one hand.

"There's that drama about Bothan gang politics during the civil war that everyone keeps talking about. Or something else. Haven't watched much in the last few years so chances are if there's been a big release you want to watch we can stream it..."

He shuffled onto the bed. The big medical trolleys were actually quite large. He reached down to the controls and angled up the back of the bed so they could sit comfortably.

Choli gave a slow chew at the description of a drama full of Bothan gang politics. Her brows rose and her expression of that was of a girl who really wasn't impressed with the suggestion. Considering he was, well a Jedi I guess? Maybe that was the reason he was into it.

"Umm." How does one say, that doesn't sound very interesting. Oh right.

"Bothan gang politics?" She made a face.

"What else do you have?"

"Okay..." He replied as he scrolled. Everyone kept telling him how amazing that show was. "Last time I watched something everyone said was the best thing ever it did seem to drag on."

"Hmm there's that sitcom set in a corellian freight port, that's supposed to be funny. Or that big fantasy show based on the books..."

He turned the datapad towards Choli. It was on the 'most popular' page. It showed how little of them he'd got around to watching even with his recent hospital time.

Choli gave Trextan a rather blank look when he mentioned that 'big fantasy show'. While it had taken choli a fair bit later in life to fully comprehend aurabesh and learn to read and write, there were thousands of novels out there. That summary made it very vague.

So she took a bite out of her sandwich rather noisily and accepted the datapad. She began a small humming tune while the tip of her finger went sliding over the display.

Well, no twileks. She thought. The small amused snort might have been an indication of her thoughts. Chewing thoughtfully, the girl with the damp butt skimmed the selections.

She got to holoseries rather quickly, and found a show called, "How it's made." ... sounded interesting for her but he likely wasn't into it.

First episode went into swords and melee weapons, to include supposedly how the ancient Jedi made their infamous lightsaber.

Trextan realised it was his sheets that were going to end up covered in crumbs. It was a small price to pay for some company for a change. For a little while now none of his problems had plagued his mind. Both of them being up and about had given him the chance to just act his age and enjoy himself a little.

"Looks interesting," he said. "At least the first one does anyway," he added with a grin. Episode three on hydroelectric power didn't look quite as exciting.

He leaned over and pulled his headphones from a side cupboard. They were little earbuds and he offered one to Choli and scooched over in the bed so they could watch together.
