It had been a while since Valery last taught a class.
Between leading the Jedi and navigating the ever-present conflicts of the galaxy, her time had been stretched thin. She loved guiding the Order, standing at its forefront, but there was something different about days like this — something simpler. No politics. No high-stakes decisions. Just Jedi, the open air, and the opportunity to grow together.
A real lesson.
Standing at the center of the field, she let out a slow breath, taking in the crisp air of New Cov's untamed wilds. The training grounds stretched wide, bordered by towering trees that swayed gently with the breeze. It was the perfect place for today's lesson.
Not far from her,

"Alright," Valery began, her voice carrying with practiced ease, "It's good to be back to teaching." A smirk tugged at her lips. "Even better that I don't have to be stuck in a library to do it."
"Today, we're focusing on Force Speed. It's a skill that can save your life, help you move through battle, or even just let you reach your destination before your impatient friend gets there." Her smirk lingered, but her tone carried the weight of experience. "More than anything, though, it's something that requires control. That's what we'll be working on."
She folded her arms, her fiery gaze sweeping over the gathered Jedi. "I also want you to work with people you haven't trained with much before. You're going to push each other, learn from each other, and — when we move on to sparring — you're going to test each other." She let the words settle, giving them a moment before she took a step forward, rolling her shoulders.
"Now," she continued, her expression shifting toward something more instructive, "let's begin."
