Invasion Rains of Contruumere [One Sith vs GR Invasion of Contruum]

Location: Killing Fields
Objective: A
Allies: None
Enemies: [member="Mantic Dorn"]

The lightsaber of the jedi found purchase on the lower left wrist, searing the phrik of the droid’s skeleton and severing or melting many of the small intricate circuits that controlled the hand. While not completely removed the claw hung uselessly from the arm. But now it was close. Now it was in range for its specialty.

The lower right arm slashed back for the inside of the Jedi’s right knee, a place difficult to protect with armor and an area to limit the mobility of the Jedi warrior. The upper left arm, still sluggish from the previous injury came down and for the collarbone. A vital area, the Jedi was sure to defend it in some way.

The upper right arm spun rapidly, lashing out towards the chest as the droid took a step forward, hoping to drive the Jedi backwards under the numerous attacks of the now three remaining blades. In addition to these blades the Droid had other weapons at its disposal. It still had one or two the Jedi had not seen and there was always bludgeoning the Jedi to death.

Existence is only the right for those with the power to end the existence of others.

'Not today you crazy schutta.'

The issue with the Siths' tactics in this fight was that they weren't taking into account the other. In one corner you had Vrag, a powerful Sith Lord willing and able to cut through anything in her way to get what she wanted, which in this case was Davin's head on a platter. In the other there was a crazy Chiss, who also didn't seem to care what came of his body as he just took a backhand punch of reinforced durasteel to the nose and didn't even flinch. This Chiss was also holding on to the Mandalorian's collar putting them in a unique situation.

The Force swept up dust and dirt as it caused Vrag to stutter in her assault. Cursing the Vong under his breath he noticed just in time to shift his body position, standing fully upright, in the process bringing his helmet up rushing into the Chiss' chin. He felt the cold fire of a blade sinking into his flesh, a small price to pay for the position it granted him. His sudden movement up put the Chiss in a very compromising position. One hand behind the Mandalorian's back holding a knife, the other somewhere along his gorget. Letting the Force run through his veins, adrenaline and the mysterious galactic force pumped through his veins, anger and passion fueling the fire. He gripped the Chiss in his Force enhanced grip, putting him directly in the path of Vrag's own attack. Even if he let one hand go the Chiss would be hard pressed to shift his position in time. It was all up to Vrag to stop the killing of her comrade.

Ferus had a rather unique love for rare items. Specifically, he loved to make them. It was his thing so to speak. Give him a day and he'd leave a planet with an awe inspiring weapon and a couple hundred dead, either from the forging or the testing.

Unfortunately, as his saber made a loud crack and disabled, cortosis resistant lightsaber crystals were not in this collection. A light grimace took over his stoic face as he experienced a trap he had used on so many Jedi. The cortosis shut off.

"Poodoo." It was all he got out before the shots came at him. Saberless, he had to fall back to the metal strapped to his arm for protection. The Hidden Blade, signature to the Sith Assassins, caught the first shot right along the wrist with a loud clang. And a crack as a bone shattered. The slug thrower impact caused his arm to fly with the shot, his body twisting at an odd angle as the next two shots tore through him. One clipped his forearm, nothing serious, but the other ripped into his shoulder.

A pained his escaped the mans lips as he jumped back, his left arm dangling uselessly. Already the acid began to go to work, eating away at his flesh. Yeah, that stuff hurt. A lot. But thankfully his body was already working to repair such an insult. Still skirting back and away from the source of pain a simple call would be out out for droid pilot. Drop the luggage.

Luggage being a weapon drop from orbit, given his saber was a no go for a while. For now though, he had to wait while his weapon came, and his arm healed. Saber back on his waist, he only had his right hand to defend himself, and that damned slug thrower already proved too much for just one hand to defend against.

"Just karking Poodoo."

Sage Bane said:
He left the assault on the old man up to his loyal amphistaffs. Two of the black, leathery serpents struck out like whips attempting to disarm the Jedi of his lightsaber. The third opened its mouth and with a sibilant hiss, aimed a jet stream of blinding poison right towards the old man’s eyes.

A Jedi bladesman kept their form and used their lightsaber as an extension of self.

The two black Amphistaffs would come strike at the Corellian Knight with the ferocity known of the Yuuzhan Vong and the deftness of Jeco. Quick and sure, the deadly beasts would be troubling for anyone to encounter. The more immediate danger, was that which would lash out through the Force within the Green Jedi Knight.

Dangersense would flare, and while the Force could not touch that which was Vong, the imminent sense of danger would still whine like a klaxon through his head, and he took a step back. A surge of the Force would whip out with a jerk of his hands, exploding in a miniature Force wave that would send powerful air currents outward to fling debris, mud, and the amphistaffs away from his body.

Granted, this would not save him from the poison. Splattered bits of acid would litter across his neck and cheek, sizzling through the thick pelt of his greying beard and bubbling flesh in pockmarks. While the step back had saved his eyes, it did not prevent the entirety of the attack.

Pain ripped through the Corellian, but he would steady his nerves. He was, after all, a Corellian thorough and thorough. Kas tulisha abia al port , Chaos opens the door to opportunity. Rhen would use this moment to push through, his hand continuing the sweep that would pick up a nearby rock as big as his head.

Precise movements would direct it to smash the first amphistaf's head, intending to bludgeon it unconscious.

Snap-hiss!

The eruption of a lightsaber would whip across the Talith's hand, as did the summon of his personal one follow suit as she tossed it away.

Tsswash!

He didn't fight the incoming crate, instead the twin sabers would slice the container in two, searing bright red sides as they would fall away. The metal pieces would bounce and scatter to the side, leaving a trail of sparks and the scent of charred ozone. There was an added tension to the scene, one that would cut between the Talith and the Vahla as the young man would deactivate his and her pilfered saber.

They once again were magnetically latched to the Bodo Bass Gunbelt.

A wag of his finger, then a shake of his head. "See... what did I tell you about anger and wrinkles?" the lighthearted and jovial tone of his voice would not fade.

And likely only infuriate the Sith more.

"Tsk tsk, we need to get you on a twelve step program for that anger management Bright Eyes."

Oh he went there. He done and did it.

He gave her a nickname.

"Roger that," Sannika chuckled, kind of taking to the intimidating sound of the "Green Devils". Fight the devil with devils. "For now, we'll call our bird Buttkicker."

She gripped the yoke with great tension as anti-air fire was noted before and below. It was far enough out of range to dismiss for now, but they may be called to go in hot soon enough judging by how rough things looked. But the lines were holding--more or less. Their RAB-1 Matchbox--one of twelve fighter craft haunting the skies right about now--glided in like a whispering hawk, its armaments thus far silent. But that would change soon enough, for they were Rogues. Also known as Death from Above. And it was Death they indeed would serve, each loaded with no fewer than sixteen CDNM B-12 incendiaries. The innocent girl had been pushed. She was now Death to the Sith.

Bombing targets were now relayed to the squadron, and that signaled the run. "Hang on, Star." Their turn onto proper trajectory was a laborious one, considering the high speed at which they were approaching enemy fronts.

Ahead were two motley lines charging to converge with the pristine... clone army? The Sith's forces were composed of droids and... undead partnered with those disgusting Vong jerks. Exactly the sorts of targets their bombs were made for. "Bays are open. Sights on. You're goin' down, buddy boys!"

Nine Matchbox bombers unleashed half their payloads of sixteen CDNM bombs each on the rear flanks of the Sith's wildly advancing batallions, allowing gravity and kinetics by any name to do the rest of the work. The X-Wings followed behind to watch over their less maneuverable, heavy comrades. But no one on the opposition on this side of things had had the foresight to bring a fighter wing or AA units to protect against this attack. For all intents and purposes, the Republic maintained its air superiority like it always had: with superiority.

Down below, a multitude of troops and machines would cook, melt, or blow away as ash under 54,000 square meters of hell burning at 2800K. Thankfully for the Rogues' victims, once that fiery death was strewn upon them, they would not feel a thing.

The man she now knew as Walker arrived. He spoke, implying that he could get a breach in their fortifications, but her forces would have to pull back to the centre. Said something about not wanting them to get caught in the middle of it and it could get ugly. Greta didn't have a single clue as to what her newest ally was planning, and she was a fan of being kept in the dark. She still didn't trust him completely as it was only right to do so.

To trust something so implicitly when you had only just met was a disaster in the making. Her forces had worked hard, taking numerous casualties to get to where they were now. This Walker couldn't blame her for being skeptical, his words had been pretty vague.

"What do you have in mind? What are you planning? I need to know what's going on before I recall my troops. I wouldn't want them to waste all their effort they had put in for something inconsequential." Walker's word had been pretty lacking in details whatsoever. The only thing he had mentioned was that it could get ugly. But ugly, could mean a vast variety of things.

She had to know.

Well, that's... pleasantly surprising. Honestly she hadn't expected his blade to deactivate. But, truly, she was glad that it did. Seemingly he was now without his man weapon. Excluding the clear grasp he had over the force, obviously. Looks like the slugs hit home too, she thought, trying to hold back a smirk. Something told her that if she got to cocky now she'd end up on someone's trophy wall. Again. If preventing that made keeping her excitement in check, then she'd do her best to be as stoic as possible.

She'd fail, of course, but she'd try.

Hence the sharp tooth gently biting into her lower lip, the hesitance that showed in her next movements, and the unseen glint sparking in her eyes. With as much caution as she could muster (since she knew that Sith did not fall so easily) the Mad Merc moved to make a few strikes of her own. For once in the fight she'd be initiating a round instead of simply countering. Aided by the jets on her armor she zoomed forward, her blade catching the light as she dashed across the gap between them.

Her right hand would move to slash at his left side with the sword. Ven's full body would move with the slash, her momentum (and the armor) forcing her into a turn, nearly shifting three-hundred-sixty degrees. As she finished her rotation her left hand would (hopefully) line back up with his chest. From there she'd be backpedaling and firing. Of course, there was a pretty could chance of him being able to move before then. That wouldn't stop her from at least trying to complete the flashy maneuver.

With real, actual blades, there was always the wet satisfying thunk when you cleaved into meat. It was the one thing that she missed with the lightsaber, but sound effects were hardly a high price to pay for all the benefits of the burning weapon. Her favorite of all was likely the ability to cut through nearly anything with very little effort, be it flesh, bone, or armor. Now, with mandalorians, Vrag had to be careful, as they had an annoying propensity to wear beskar, and so the strikes stopped at the 'armor' layer.

Not with this one, though.

The searing red beam sank into the body of her opponent with the tell-tale sizzling of fat, and without wasting a second, the Hand of the Dark Lord pushed the hilt down with a slight redistribution of weight, knowing that the blade in her grasp would carve upward through the impaled torso of her quarry as she did so. Ribs, liver, kidneys, lungs… heart; all lay in the path of her upward slash, and with the split second that it took to make it, her foe really had nowhere to run.

Neither did Astaire, however.

Victory requires sacrifice, and if sacrifice was a chunk of meat out of the chiss' side, Vrag wouldn't shed many tears. The man had been far worse for wear when they'd first met, back riddled with shrapnel and front riddled with deep violet bruises. Knowing the bastard, he'd probably just grin like a madman and bite even harder.

The best she could do was angle her wrist slightly away, but there was no time to save his hide, not at this range, not at these speeds. Remember that wet sound? A beskad would certainly make it once it was introducted to blue flesh.

--

Mandalorians.

Not what she expected, and surely a cosmic joke of some kind considering who it was her Lord was fighting in the bowels of the station. She suppressed the urge to slam him against the wall out of sheer instinct and instead took a few moments to verify his information. The horns of her Dhaladii reeled, snapping at empty air as if they were still in the middle of a skirmish. Her whole figure was smattered with caked blood and gore, bits of flesh still hanging off the occasional spike. It wasn't an inviting sight, truth be told, but the Sith were never much about appearances. When they'd come knocking, nobody on Contruum had any illusions as to the purpose of their visit.

Then again, was it any different when mandalorians showed up? You could bet your sweet beskar ass they weren't there to sing Life Day carols or collect change for the poor.

Ah, there he was. Draco Vereen, by Dart Carach.

"Works for me," Darth Kahlor called back and lowered the beam of her orange blade, but her eyes stayed trained on the pair all the same. "Our people have done most of the work already, but you're free to assist. Ask for Simeon, he'll tell you where to help."

"As for you," P-4 pointed to the taller, bulkier of the two — the one she assumed to be the mando himself and not his entourage — "help me sweep the perimeter. A couple of them are probably still alive."

The attack had been successful and Mantic meant to press the attack quickly. But the droids circuits reacted even faster and the performed a complex series of maneuvers meant to shred the jedi to pieces.

the claw like hand that came in low against his inner right knee was the worst part of the attack and even though Mantic managed to raise his leg somewhat to avoid it he still stumbled on the arm forcing him to land on his left knee against the ground.

The following attacks were made with the droids sabers and there was no doubt that the machines attack would have been dangerous if it had known the ways to truly use a lightsaber. Albeit with the droids lack of programming on this part and the jedi force valor flowing through Mantics body and pressing it to perform inhuman heights of speed and strength the situation was another.
Finishhim.jpg

He never the less was forced to go on the defensive and kept blocking the oncoming attacks from his poorer position. He knew he had to do something about the situation quickly.

"By the force..."
This thing could not be allowed to exist any further. The thought on what sort of threat it would turn out to be once its programming had adjusted and processed how the usage of the sabers would be better utilized, in combination with its gadgets and weapons? this thing could even be a match for jedi masters...
What strikes and techniques would it not have been observed and processed already, during their fight? It was a swindling realization.

But Mantic was not a rookie, not a fledgling jedi allowing his emotions or thoughts take the upper hand. He was a jedi warrior through and through. Trained to simply remain emotionless and focus on efficient combat regardless of what happened around him. He had fought numerous times and seen through numerous wars, naturally he had killed and destroyed in his wake - But he never allowed his emotion to be set free until the battle field was left far behind.

Even though this droid proved a challenge, it was damaged on several accounts and lacking most of its support bug droids. Mantic felt that the tide of the battle soon was over for the machine.

It was with a calm expression that he then pushed forth his left hand, in lightning speed, again firing ionization lightning toward [member="Agamemnon"]. With the droid locked in saber fighting so close Mantic hoped that it would have little chance to avoid the stunning effect. And as the droid hopefully would be temporarily out of commission Mantic would drive his saber down low and leap high, cutting through the droid from its belly and up. Landing his strike would end with the opposite goal, to drive the sword from his head to belly. Two powerful attacks mimicking the falling leaf attack used by his preferred lightsaber form, Ataru, to initiate powerful often final overhead attacks on the Jedi's opponents.

After the Jedi Master rolled away, Azurea army-crawled in the opposite direction. Truth be told, the Force Fury she had tapped into left her somewhat depleted now, but
since Darth Pyrrhus was holding the pressure on Taeli Raaf, the Sith Knight used the small repreive to her advantage. Had she used too much too soon, she thought? You must be patient, Setzi, she told herself. Taking this powerful lightsider down will take time.

Darth Azurea sidestepped into a semi-circle around the back of the Jedi Master as the hissing amphistaff twirled around her gauntlet. The Sith's energy was high again, she ignited both lightsabers and using a Force-enhanced jump, leaped towards the Jedi Master's back as she was busy controlling Pyrrhus's slithering weapon. With a swift x-shaped slash she targeted the Jedi's neck with her sabers, attempting to also knock her to the ground with the impact of her own body.

Hot, he felt hot. His heart hammered in his chest, ready to explode. Standing this close to Erinyes, he could breathe her, feel the heat of her blood as it rushed through her veins, see each delicate feature of her face, stare at those eyes of deepest green that could drown him whole.

Entranced he stepped even closer. Inches away now.

His arms moved of their own accord and grasped her rain drenched form. The touch of skin against skin was like fire. A fire that set his spirit ablaze. He could do naught but look into her eyes. Her voice mesmerizing enveloped his senses, completing the spell.

Skorn was no more.

In his mind, a distant voice was laughing endlessly. Laughing at his own despair and folly. The voice knew he could never be free from this. This cursed existence. It recognized his folly at believing that freedom was even possible. Vaguely he recognized the voice as his own.

His lips so close to hers, brushed past them. The lightest of touches.

"Be mine...."

He whispered. A plea, a prayer....if only she could be his. He wished it with all his being, even if he knew it was never going to be. She could no more be his than he could be hers. To do so would mean abandoning what they were. She was after all a Jedi, He a Sith. Some would deem that a matter of choice. For the Draclau it was not choice. Each child reared by their parent in their own mirror image. They had grown up knowing only one way to exist. For Erinyes, this was the light. For Skorn there was only darkness.

It wasn't a matter of choice for either of them, it was what made them who they were. To be with the other would mean betraying what they both stood for. An act neither of them could commit.

After all one could scarcely betray themselves and walk away, unscathed.

"...Please."

One hand moved upwards, feeling her body, committing it to memory. Somehow he restrained his animal nature. Barely he kept his howling heart at bay. A heart that hungered for her body. Hungered for her embrace. The hand kept rising up and stopped only when it reached her throat. Her delicate throat, like porcelain in his hands. His thin fingers caressed her throat.

"I wish to be free Erin...I cannot bear this pain any more."

The fingers squeezed.

"Free me."

Grid 33
Shelling from the arty on the garrison continued, although there were thankfully no more concussion bombs raining down from on high at the moment. The Echo battery continue to flak anything that came towards them, and the AA guns were back to fast tracking the incoming arty rounds, although not everything succeeded and Alpha lost a Lohengrin to a repeated hail of heavy shells.

Grid 27
The mortar fire continued to pepper the area directly below the mountain peak, in order to discourage forward observers and cavalry who might be looking to charge Sinistra's position at grid 33. The smoking ruins of perimeter placement F burned bright and a pillar of black smoke drifted up the mountainside.

Grid 29
The gunships circled back for another run but there was decidedly less targets for the AA to look for now as the rain of concussion bombs had ceased for the moment. The Croesus and Phaedra were only too happy to engage the A-10's and show their appreciation in volleys of flak rounds and laser cannon fire. Two more Phaedra were taken out and a few hundred troops were killed but the order was given to charge the garrison. The forward cavalry units of roughly 3500 swoop bike troopers, mounted and rode off for the garrison, knowing it was most likely their deaths.

Grid 14
The Croesus and Phaedra were able to catch a whiff of Valdwin's approach but only by a few seconds before his bombers came into view from across the map. Half the remaining AA guns took their targets and hailed them with rounds and full auto laser cannon fire. Oscar battery couldn't track as quickly as the AA guns, but once acquired, it spit flak rounds at the encroaching ships.

The remaining half of the AA guns turned their attention to the moving targets spitting fire at them from cover up the road. It was tough to pin down their locations so orders were given to pick off the shots as best they could and hopefully, the soldiers and cavalry units commanded by others would make advancement up the mountain road to end their shelling.

Casualties were becoming heavier as 2 more Croesus, 2 more Phaedra and 1 Tannhauser were lost.

Grid 3
Between Lusk's forces and the garrison's arty, Sinistra's northern reinforcements started to draw attention in spades. Arty fire had to be dialed into the spot behind the small peak where the batteries were placed, but the Croesus and Phaedra did their best to take out whatever shells they could from the parabolic shelling arcs coming from the south. Thundering force shook the ground as Foxtrot and India targeted Lusk's arty friend Fox. Golf and Hotel remained on target with the garrison guns at A & B. Juliett was loaded and flakking, along with half the Croesus and Phaedra at the low flying bombers coming over the heads of the entangled troops of the Sith and Republic below.

2 Phaedra are destroyed by artillery as there is confusion for a few moments on what targets are designated per battery.

Summary:
  • Shelling the garrison continues everywhere from Tannhauser and Lohengrin batteries apart from the ones flakking ships.
  • 33 lost a Lohengrin.
  • 3500 Cavarly at 29 is making at push at the southern garrison edge.
  • Most troops lost at 29 and 2 more Phaedra.
  • 14 took 5 more gun loses, 4 AA and 1 arty.
  • 3 is turning attention to Lusk, Sannika's ships only (bombs and damage will be determined by ground troop commander), and arty on garrison.
  • 3 loses 2 AA guns.

Zulia was not bothered by the artillery that sailed towards her basecamp, courtesy of [member="Ali Hadrix"] The dovin basals of her and Commander Shai’s Rakamats and Warkeepers sucked up any torpedos and cannon fire before any agents could be disperse. With a foomph and then complete silence, there came a triumph of Vong technology over those war weapons of non-Vong species, especially the mechanical ones. Or that was Zulia’s opinion anyway. As far as the rocket launchers that her Firebreathers encounterd, the creatures were shaken by the blows, here and there, losing a segmented leg with a piercing shriek, but with thick armored hides could withstand most of the attacks, they prevailed. Surely there would be collateral damage to those Pub soldiers as the leviathans continued their siege on entrenched Republic Forces.

On the western approach, like Tatooine prairie dogs, Republic forces and their abhorrent mechanical dogs ([member="Vedrana Black"]) literally popped up under Commander Shai and horde of Legion Yun’Do. The rumbling of the ground underneath the Vong could be heard by the skilled warrior and calls went out over Villips to get ready for the siege. The Yuuzhan Vong, ever-thirsty for bloodshed, enthusiastically engaged with the forces where they emerged, first slinging packets of blorash jelly at the soldiers, meant to hold them in place, as others fired upon the presumably trapped soldiers with chitin carbines and plasma eels. The ones who weren’t hit with jelly would be whipped with amphistaves, razor sharp bodies lashing out to rend flesh from bone, their lethal poison soaking whatever they came into contact with.

Raising her electrobinoculars to her glowing green eyes, Zulia noticed the approach of the Republic bombers and fighters flown by [member="Sannika Brynn"] and ordered half of her Rakamat to focus fire on them. The birds zipped across the field, dipping low enough for Rakamat lizards to turn their plasma cannons on the vessels that neared Shurra’s horder. As they dropped their bombs, the vessels would be met with fiery balls of plasma, aimed to divert them from precisely hitting their targets as well as knock them right out of the sky or into the mountain range below. As a result, not all of the napalm would land directly on the Legion Yun’Do warriors, instead spreading far and wide around the battlefield. Zulia’s eyebrow rose at the thought the Republic would brutally napalm their own troops just to take out her forces. Talk about unfriendly fire. Perhaps the Republic shared more in common with the Yuuzhan Vong than she had realized. The bombs that did land, however, would take out Yuuzhan Vong warriors and presumably Republic troops alike, as the two armies were fiercely entangled in battle. LIkewise with any canon fire. Death and destruction abounded and both sides were sure to suffer. One could say that the Republic was almost suicidal at this point.

Meanwhile, the punishment on the garrison continued, the continuous fire from the Yaret-Kor of the remaining ten of Shurra’s mighty Rakamat, burning down into the garrison from the skies, eating away at both the rock and the structure itself. The volcanic canons of ten Yorik-vec assault cruisers fired down onto the mountain as they passed overhead, spewing large swaths of plasma around the garrison. However, sadly a few Vong gunships met the fire of Republic canons nestled in the mountains. Two Yorik-vec careened to the ground, crashing into the rocky crags, but the damage had presumably been done. Like that of the Yaret-Kor of the siege lizards, the molten energy would ravage the structure and any Republic forces unlucky enough to be caught under its scalding rain. Between the Mandalorian ally’s seismic charges planted from below, explosions meant to collapse the structure from inside and the combined shelling from Lord Sinistra and Shurra’s own organic artillery from above, the garrison would surely weaken and fall into a sinkhole created by the charges of [member="Draco Vereen"].

The Force flowed through the Jedi Knight. It soothed her aching body from the fight. The pain she had felt disappeared as she knelt at the feet of the Sith Acolyte. She was not a warrior. She was a peacekeeper; and she would give Nerius and Mullarus peace. She would show them that peace was not a lie.

She sensed Nerius leap and Mullarus's surprise at her actions. Instinct told her to leap too, turn on her lightsaber and finally cut the pink monster down, in order to win this day. But the Force kept her anchored to the ground. Rain continued to assault her, drenching her dark brown hair in it's torrents. She had discarded her robes at the beginning of the fight. Her garments were plain, basic and a symbol that she was a Jedi.

The Force was her guide and the code was her mandate. She whispered, "There is no death, there is the Force."

Ready, Ella Nova waited for the Sith Acolyte to claim his victory. She was ready to become one with the Force.

BAM!

Nerius was lifted off his feet by Mullarus. In doing so, he had saved her life. It confirmed that there was still good him; and that the Force was forever her ally. It had told her to do this and in return it had showed Mullarus the light.

Her eyes opened, looking up through the torrents of rain. In her peripheral vision, she saw his dark emerald lightsaber hum. Where she had been nervous mere moments ago, now she was confident. The Force would not allow her to fall this day.

She stood up. Her eyes locked onto Mullarus's own. A hand lifted up to grip his shoulder. It was affectionate, light and delicate. She did not want to hurt him anymore. She only wished to help. Through her palm, the Force flowed into Mullarus's body, giving him the calm, peace and serenity that Ella had found all those years ago, when she first trained to become a Jedi Knight. Now, she would give them to this tormented soul.

"We needn't fight, stranger. You came here at the beckoning of your masters, to claim this world from it's people; and I came here to stop you. But now? I can only think of helping you find solace in this moment. You are a good man. You don't need to serve the Sith anymore. You can embrace a new power."

"Lay down your weapon against the people of Condruum. Help me turn this battle around. Help me save Condruum from your old masters. They are evil. Together, we can stop this madness. I will always be there to help you."

"The Force has found you. Just let it in."

"Tell me your name? I am Ella Nova. It is nice to meet the real you."

She turned to look at where Nerius had fallen. She was at the mercy of Mullarus and that of the Force now. She almost put away her lightsaber, but she was told that she still might need it.

Stardust starred sweeping her turret minute she saw the action"hmm hmmm buttkicker alright by me I just wanna see some action"

She listened and looked below watching the bombs hit the ground and catch fire"ahhhh such a beautiful sight

The barrage of concussion bombs did little damage to the enemies. The majority of the bombs either missed their targets or they were destroyed by the enemy AA fire before they reached their targets. However, this bombardment was not meant to deliver absolute destruction, instead it was to distract the enemy fire and remove some of the AA weaponry from play. It was successful in doing this.

Now the second step in the lieutenants battle plan would commence. "Release the pods." Was all Jaccer would say before his primary assault began. Four hundred Arbitrator Drop pods were released from carriers in low orbit. Each pod contained 6 soldier who were aimed to the teeth with heavy weaponry, explosives and the latest armour systems. Immediately after the metal and ceramic pod hit the floor, the soldiers would pour out. Eventually, all 2,400 shock troopers would be on the battlefield, deployed extremely near to the hostile AA and artillery batteries. Single-man, RIV-1 pods were also dropped, these contained highly trained snipers. These pods were aimed for the mountains overlooking the enemy forces. This positioning would give them a distinct advantage over any targets at the valley floor.

Towards the South of the garrison, 22 Valkyrie heavy drop ships rapidly approached the area. They flew exceedingly close to the ground, using the mountainous terrains to shield them from any AA batteries in the valley to their North. Mounted on the underbelly of the drop ship were twenty ageing, but trustworthy, Skocha-Class Main Battle Tanks. Once dropped off on the mountain side, the tanks would easily navigate the terrain, thanks to their repulsorlift technology. The remaining 2,600 soldier would join the tanks in their approach to the enemy positions over the mountain. Once in firing distance, all available weaponry would open up on enemy emplacements and the cry of war will begin.

"Stop all artillery fire on Grid 33, we have friendlies on the ground!" Jaccer would shout down his comm system to all Republic commanders.

  • Snipers are deployed on the mountainside at grid 33
  • Drop ships at the south of grid 33 deploy 2,600 soldiers and 20 Skocha-Class Main Battle Tanks
  • The soldiers and tanks deployed by the drop ships begin their approach to enemy position (navigating over the mountain to the South)

Mullarus stared blankly at the Jedi Knight as she...lectured him. She spoke of Mullarus 'turning away from the dark' and 'coming to the light'. She said to lay down his arms and turn on his old masters...

Mullarus laughed. His laugh became a scowl as he reached over and removed her hand from his shoulder. "So naive. You're such a jedi. Yeah, I spared you from Nerius taking a stab at you from behind, but I didn't do it because I hate the Sith and want to go home with you! If you are going to be defeated, you'll be struck down standing up with your weapon in your hand and my eyes locked to yours. There won't be any executions or deception from me, and if I can help it, not from my friend either. You fight like a real warrior, jedi, it is for that reason I didn't let you die. You deserve to wield that lightsaber for your people.

"Now."
he stepped back a few steps, raising his lightsaber once again, "If you have not surrendered, I won't spare you again. I gave you your mercy. Do you throw it away? Don't try to recruit me to your legion of soulless, ignorant servants of the Light Side. The sith is where my loyalty lie, jedi. But I won't take the easy route to the top. I'll take it with honor and integrity. I know you jedi know what that is, so take it from me.

"Not all of us sith are bloodthirsty animals like you think. Now, I give you one last chance. Toss your lightsaber to the side and surrender. Otherwise, you will get no more mercy from me."

Yet deep down, Mullarus knew. Given the brutality of many Sith and how frowned upon his merciful ways were, he was secretly conflicted. The jedi knight could probably sense that...

The fight raged on between the two Sith and the Jedi. Or rather, one Sith and her apprentice. Was Ameli truly a Sith? If someone had examined her philosophy and knowledge of their code, she probably would have been scolded. What was the appeal? Horrible fashion sense. But slowly, Sena was molding her into a Sith. To Ameli, much of that didn't matter. Her devotion aimed in two directions, both intertwined; Sena, and the Goddess of Vahl. Their time would come, their power was on the rise. Now Micah was an obstacle. With the light of Vahl guided them, there was no way they could lose, right?

As Sena and Micah went back and forth, exchanging blows (and weapons, apparently), Ameli seemed kind of forgotten on the sidelines. Of course, she had given her weapon away. So what was her combat function? She could still support Sena. Once more she gathered the Force to her. The choke had been ineffective, he seemed, like the mandalorian Senameli had fought previously, to have Force-resistant armour. Instead, a heavy crate was picked up with the grace of the Force, and tossed in Micah's direction from the sidelines. Hopefully, it would either be a direct and devastating hit, or, create an opening for Sena to exploit. Watching the crate fly, Ameli suppressed a giggle. Yay, I'm contributing

Reasoning with Mullarus...

| [member="Nerius"] | [member="Mullarus"] |

Ella grimaced. There was hate in him. Hate for the ways of the Jedi. For the Republic.

"Look around you, Mullarus."

The battlefield was torn with bodies and craters. Still, the battle waged on over the corpses of the dead. The various lights of the Jedi clashing against the crimson of the Sith. Death stuck to the field like a virus, infecting everyone inside it.

"This is wrong. This shouldn't be the way things are. You are lying to yourself. I'm thankful that you did not cut me down, nor allow your ally to do so either. Stop ignoring the Force, my friend. Feel the truth. If for a moment, allow yourself to see a new way. One where you are not enslaved to the dark side."

Nerius was beginning to stir. Ella continued to plead.

"I don't want to hurt you or your friend. I want you to stop this fighting. You are a good person, on the wrong side. Do you really want to hurt me? Do you really want the Sith to rule this world? The galaxy? In your heart of hearts, you know that this is wrong."

"Please let me help you."

She offered her hand again, for him to take.
